diana is confused and kinda freaked out but thanks Shurik
she goes with amira to confront three scantily dressed but sexy ladies
ginger is quite scandalized

Diana yawned after she had awakened, stretching her arms northward. She felt better, but not completely. Her chaos was still being slowly replenished despite good rest. She felt stiff and her annoying cold continued to torment her. At least she had a good nap that would keep her from fainting any time soon. Speaking of fainting, she barely remembered what happened before she fell asleep. She had a dream about scary skeleton men who drained her of all her chaos before...

She suddenly became aware of everything. The people shuffling around her, the stifling air, the fact that she had been sleeping on a rock. She let out a small shriek before covering her mouth. Embarrassed, Diana blushed. Does this mean the dream was all true? She groaned, sitting up and resting her head in her hands. But, if she was by the cavern, how did she get to safety? Diana eventually stood, wiping rock bits off of her skirt. Her forehead throbbed. When was the last time she drank water?

The ginger then looked up sharply. Shurik.

She remembered him saving her and carrying her to safety. The redhead quickly picked up her skirts and skurried Shurik's side, noted the massive height difference, and remained silent for a few moments. Then, the gratitude exploded from her.

"Thank you so, so much for rescuing me! I don't know what was going through my head, fainting like that. It was very, very kind of you, and I-" she stopped. She could hear the dead men's cries.

~~

Diana quickly followed Amira and the others who would later confront the women. When she finally adjusted to the darkness and she first saw the three (poorly clad) women, her heart rate sped up and she, with wide eyes, averted her vision by turning away and shielding her face with her hands. The ginger was incredibly scandalized.

"They... what are they wearing?" she whispered to herself.

Diana, still facing away, audibly gasped when Amira's words registered in her ears.

Was she flirting with them?

  • Lilirel helped wake those in a deeper slumber.
  • She follows the group from the mid-back and eventually falls back closer to Sorod.
  • She chooses to stay back with Sorod and those defending the tunnel.

YY53pcY.png

To fall into a deep slumber was rather difficult, but the Aasimar found herself resting just enough to feel refreshed. She helped wake those that took a little longer to come too and eventually the group moved ahead. Lilirel was glad to see that the foreman was awake as well, he could lead them through the mines safely, having their guide back would be rather beneficial.

Her position within the group as they moved along, rested somewhere in the middle-back area. Senses focused and paying attention. The creaking and groaning of the golem felt louder than usual as the rest of the group attempted to remain silent. Lilirel’s jaw was tense, glancing over her shoulder towards Sorod she halted, choosing to close the gap between herself and the iron construct. It was impossible not to garner the attention of the skeletons.

She watched a few of the other party members move ahead before fully stopping and turning to face the shambling remains. Looking around with a small exhale through her nose she drew her sword and held it before her. Lily hoped they could keep the undead at bay and slowly move towards the rest of the party, she also hoped that the foreman knew where the source of all this was. It would be a godsend, but the woman was aware that she may be putting too much faith in luck.

TL;DR: Stella woke up and followed, but paused right when she was about to face the floating ladies. The level of chaos scared her, and she decides to stay back and help Lilirel and Sorod defend the tunnel.

Stella couldn't fall into a deep sleep, so when the others woke up and prepared to move, she heard the noises and woke up as well. She stood up and dusted herself off, and this time created a small light orb the size of a golf ball that fit right in her palm. That way not only can she light the surroundings slightly, but she can also save energy as the light orb was significantly smaller. The sleep had only helped recover her a little so she didn't want to waste her energy before another battle happens.

Out of nowhere, Stella felt a chill down her spine. Looking towards the way they were travelling, she shivered, feeling the intense level of chaos in front of them. She began to have cold sweats, and was afraid of what they would soon see. Stella could sense it, the messy dark chaos levels that are so powerful that it made her hair stand on end. She stood there frozen still, until she saw Lilirel go back towards the back end of the group.

It was then she snapped out of the fear, and realized that the noise had attracted more company, more undead. She hesitated, before deciding that it would be better for her to help fend off the undead rather than face the big chaos mess they were moving towards. Sure, it might be a coward move, but she felt that it would be better than her freezing in place from fear. Nodding to herself, she followed Lilirel, heading towards where Sorod was and preparing to fend off the new swarm of undead that were heading to them.

TL;DR
  • Shurik Talks to Diana about carrying her out of harm's way
  • He walks with the group and the foreman towards their objective.
  • When the undead horde is alerted, Shurik elects to stay behind and defend the tunnel with the others who do so.

Shurik Plate 500.png
Shurik’s head snapped upwards as he heard the approach of someone. Time to go already? He stood up and groaned as his muscle stretched. When the glaze of his eyes faded, he was greeted with the sight of Diana. He instantly recognized her as the one he carried away from the chaos of the cliff edge. Shurik simply shrugged as she thanked him and he shook his head as he let his body relax. Though she stopped short, Shurik did not hear the undead right away and responded. “No need to thank me. I did what I needed to do.” The glow finally caught Shurik’s attention and he hushed himself. So many undead below. While he was in front of Sorod, Shurik felt the golem might not be the lightest of feet. Much like himself.

Shurik would drop back behind Diana as she pressed on and drew his massive blade from his back. He watched as the green wave turned toward them after they heard enough noise and begin on their way towards the group. Shurik growled and took up a defensive position at the tunnel entrance with those who stayed. He took a quick survey. So far, Sorod, Lilirel, Stella, and himself. He stood next to Lilirel at a distance far enough to not clip her with his blade when he swung it. He nodded to her and smiled. “Who’s in the defensive line is getting predictable,” He laughed.

Shurik felt they may have a fighting chance. He worried a little more about those following the foreman towards the next area. “Good luck to all of you," He said to the air behind him to will on those who went with the foreman. When the first group of undead reached his position they would meet the force of his cleaving blade.

Giles wakes up from his nap
-Giles follows the Foreman

-Giles notes the smell in the chamber, and readies himself for battle

With a small groan, Giles awoke from his slumber. He stood from his spot by the wall and dusted his hat on his knee. He felt refreshed, the chaos he used back during the undead's assault had been fully replenished along with his morale. On top of that, the Foreman woke up from his state of comatose, meaning the mission could finally continue.

However, his streak of good fortune ended as soon as he heard the sound of shambling bones and ghastly groans behind him. It seemed that the undead still craved the demise of the Apostles. Giles was getting tired of this, he wanted a change of scenery. Right now.

Giles followed the Foreman and the Apostles that accompanied him, he hoped that the Foreman knew where he was going, he wanted to end this nonsense as soon as possible.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________-

As soon as Giles took a step into the chamber, he immediately spotted the 3 women in the middle. Before he could say anything, a terrible odor wafted into his nostrils. He made a disgusted noise as he turned his head away from the smell, "Smells like someone hasn't washed...Ugh".

Despite the stench, Giles readied his revolver at the hip, waiting for someone to make a move

TLDR: Jeremiah goes with the group, as other Apostles already went to stand by Sorod.

IT took a moment, but Jeremiah quickly tallied up the Apostles standing with Sorod, comparing it to the number of Apostles going towards the new threat. His first instinct was to stand up quickly and stretch, saving time and also protecting himself from a pulled muscle if he had to do something intense.
He had guarded a whole tunnel by himself- it was time to put his powers to good use. "Ren, if you want, you can follow Diana and I. Or join Stella. Whichever you prefer. " Jeremiah whispered to her, waiting just long enough to see what decision she would make before heading towards the others.

It didn't take long to join the group that found the eccentric ladies all chanting and ignoring them. Which meant...he would have to break up the chanting- as the easiest explanation for the chanting was they were the ones bringing the dead back to life. The green aura, the smell, and rattling bones were dead giveaways. He walked to Amira, careful to not mess her up, as well as to not startle her.
"Hey, wait until I start to sing. Attack one of the other two. Make them stop working together." Jeremiah whispered to Amira, asking her to coordinate with him, hopefully distracting or hurting the women long enough to stop whatever they were doing. His voice exploded out his mouth, sickeningly perfect and chaos-filled.
First he hummed, just loud enough for the closest chanting lady to barely hear, letting the magic float into her ears before he started to sing, words flowing from him. "Come to me. Stop speaking, turn your gaze towards me! Walk towards me, and stand, still! Come to me! You are enticing, and I need to have you close, to learn from you, to be inspired by you." Jeremiah spoke, using his magic to call commands for her, to force her to do his bidding. He put strength into this one, as the woman was powerful, and he wanted this to work.

TL;DR: Knell was taking a nap and then suddenly they were up. Then they meet ladies and she's trying to suggest some strategies.

Honestly Knell was enjoying napping while standing up, just closing her eyes and leaning against the wall while letting out a sigh. She didn't know what to do and honestly she didn't feel like doing...anything if she was resting. Just give her like five minutes and everything will be fine. And then, everyone was going. Being aroused from her slumber, she let out a yawn before walking with everyone, rubbing her eyes as she mumbled underneath her breath. Well, time to go. But she was too sleepy to try and see if there was anything worth lying ahead...or if there was any danger present.

The group walked on, with her shifting her gaze back to Sorod with a wince as the rest of them snuck past, not wanting to leave him alone. Yet, the rest of the party...well the sooner they fixed this mess the better. They continued to walk on until arriving at a junction with strange women in the middle. She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms as she eyed them, trying to judge them from a distance. Yet, she could not, not really, not when she couldn't make out their faces...or their own Chaos. Her body stiffened as she heard the distant sound of the undead. "Are they the cause?" she wondered out loud as she prepared herself in a stance, putting one hand out that blazed with Death magic, "Alright, how shall we proceed? Take them quickly or study them while giving light attacks?" Her eyes shifted to everyone in the group as she spoke, eyes narrowed and calculating as she thought of what to do next.

Situation
Time: 3:40 PM
Date: October 17th 327(CE)
Weather: Partly cloudy with otherwise blue skies and cool weather and a warm sun. Inside Taruhm, its warmer like used gymnasium and lit by torches and the occasional arrow slits. In the mine, there was a bit of airflow, but the only heat came from their light sources. Otherwise it was cool and with little air movement.

TooLongDidn'tRead: The party regrouped. Some were caught and forced to defend a passage while the rest of the party managed to find the source of the problem in the mine.

Note From The Author: (Those defending the tunnel will be unaware of the situation with the shimmering light and the women. Likewise, those with the women will have no idea how things are going with those who stayed behind. Moving between the two points will also take too much time to be done in this scene.)

Tunnel Defense
Those defending the tunnel had a very simple situation on their hands. To their backs was the long dark tunnel their friends disappeared down. To their right and left were hand dug walls scarred by pick and shovel. Massive wooden beams, which were sturdy and new looking, smell freshly of the trees they were cut from and helped dilute the corpse smell of their enemies. Before them was an endless horde of skeletal corpses. Green wisps tendrilled from eyeless sockets that glowed with an infernal light. Armed and armored, the skeleton warriors attacked the party with a myriad of weapons. With only the low glow of Stella's magic to show them what they faced, it was difficult to plan ahead or deal with more than what was directly in front of them at a time save for those with darkvision.

In the initial clash of bone, metal, and flesh, Stella, Lilirel, and shurik were wounded. Minor in nature, none of them were slowed in the least, but it was clear to them that the sheer number of enemies they were facing required their utmost effort. To hold back merely because the skeletons were individual weak would clearly be foolish. Like before, slain skeletons would turn to black ash that would fade away in the chaos of the unfolding battle.

The 3 Sisters
While most of the party readied themselves to contend with the odd woman, Foreman would catch Amira's cloak before rushing to the rear. He seemed visibly disturbed, which stood out plainly on his hardy dwarven face. In this massive chamber, the water only came up to the Apostles' ankles, so maneuvering would not be difficult, however, what was below the water was not plainly visible. Foreman's light cap would shed some light on the chamber where the beam touched, but most of the light in the room currently came from the shimmering white at the center of the room.

The three woman did not seem interested waiting for the group to prepare themselves and immediately started advancing on the party with malicious smiles and commanding, yet seductive sway of their figures. The only closest to Amira seemed to listen to her words as she advanced, but then cackled mildly before pointing a figure at the woman. Whether Amira knew it or not, the microbial entities she released from her body would no longer be of use to her and have begun to feast on her flesh. A slight burning sensation would be felt over all of her exposed flesh and internal passages open to the air. Counting as a wound, it was a slight irritant for the moment, but would get worse of nothing was done about it.

However, the 2nd woman did not get far before Jeremiah's whispers reached her in her approach. Suddenly, the tension seemed to leave her body. Like a mindless doll the woman approached Jeremiah. Despite the beauty of her form, her smell became more potent as she approached. Not chanting and staring off at nothing in particular, she seemed like she was ready for her next order. She was tall for a woman. About head height with Jeremiah, her toned body suggested she hailed from a hardy people. Just then, Jeremiah would narrowly avoid her scepter as it swept upward abruptly and without warning. A green aura around it seemed to suck at his very soul as it passed his face. Apparently, the woman was not under his influence after all and laughed at him condescendingly as she whipped her scepter around for more.

One of the woman remained in back near the shimmering light. Partially behind it, she thrust her staff toward the party and started to wave it around. Her intent was not clear, but perhaps things became more apparently with an outcry or sudden jolt from Knell. Large, fanged leeches somehow appeared at Giles, Diana, and Knell's feet at some point during the fight. Emerging from the water, they carefully latched on and started draining the 3 of their strength. While Diana was able to get hers off and get away from the rest before they could harm her, Giles would get a wound on his leg from one before it could be removed. Knell was the worst off, getting 3 wounds that seeped blood that wouldn't clot due to the saliva of the leeches. If Knell was not treated after the fighting was done, she would likely bleed out without realizing it due to the negligible nature of the wound being so small and hurting barely enough to notice it.

TLDR: Engaged one of the sister's, briefly spoke to Jeremiah and Knell.
Amira paused at the voice of Jeremiah; a smirk spread like wildfire across her lips. "Why would I want to do that? I'd happily take all three of them." she answered innocently. Amira looked behind her to the other apostles, as another voice was added to her ear. "Study them, don't mind if I do. Which one would you like me to start with first?" she lifted a saucy eyebrow at Knell; she lifted her voice slightly to be heard over Jeremiah's song.
As the woman in front of her acknowledged her presence. She returned her attention to the other, as the burning sensation slithered across her skin. "Oh whats this?" The mutation of her bow had ceased, and the darlings spreading across the space about her ignored commands. Amira moved her free hand across the area in front of her and found the burning sensation increased. "Interesting...Lovely little trick. Using my power against me. For a second I thought I was in love. Maybe I am. I'm a little bit dysfunctional and you're clearly insane. By all that's unholy we should be married. How many children should we have? 3, 4? a bakers dozen?"
She held up a finger ignoring the commotion behind her as the leeches assaulted the apostles "I'll let you think about that while we're fighting." She withdrew an arrow from the quiver, even though the bow was only partially mutated it still had enough to do some damage. But her main concerns was the increased burning sensation on her skin. As a temporary solution, she moved out of the area and mutated her flesh. What was once deeply tanned skin became a brilliant jade, smooth and hard to the touch but still warm. It would protect against her own powers, as it had a natural resistance to chaos magic.
With a complete lack of concern for Jeremiah's safety as she glanced in his direction. She laughed darkly between aiming the arrow with a trained eye and releasing it in the direction of the woman in front of her. Amira released three in quick succession, the mutation did little to increase the speed but her skill and poundage of the bow naturally elevated the speed beyond normal levels.

_____________________________________

Even with his wounds healed up and his progression to reach the center tunnel being slow, soon enough he would step into the pitch black tunnel before him just to attempt to catch his breath as he defended himself in the much more narrow path before him. Attempting to control what energy he still had left by using his physical strength rather than his Chaos energy any further to simply parry and strike back several times, all the while still walking down the path of the tunnel before him.

The entire time he kept walking, he wondered whether or not the other Apostles had found the source to these monsters and figured out what needed to be done yet but as well as curious to know if they were still alright at all.

It wasn't until the sound of loud thuds echoing through the tunnel from behind did Zayne finally come to a halt as he turned his attention back towards the entrance of the tunnel, with the light from his flames that still emitted from the large cavern illuminating the entrance of the tunnel, he was able to end up seeing what appeared to had been some sort of large lizard-like creature approaching him. "C'mon...give me a break.."
With him already being as exhausted as he was and seeing the lizard before him, Zayne attempted to hurry his way down the tunnel with much more of a hurried pace in hopes to find something or somewhere that the lizard wouldn't be able to fit or have the terrain be more in his favor. Saving the last resort of pushing his limits to use up whatever Chaos energy he had left to rid the surrounding area of enemies in hope that he would be able to get some rest while being unaware of whether or not the area would still have other creatures from the darkness attempt to attack him if he were incapacitated.

Hello again. Labra is alive for now. She likes riding on people's shoulders, and then randomly poking things, mainly cloaks that people give to the person who's shoulder she is riding on. Anyways, she has no clue whats in the cloak, but hopes to be friends with it. This Imp is contemplating whether or not to go to the Phoenix dude so he isn't lonely and run out energy and die alone :X. But she decides to wait for whatever is in the cloak to come out and then go to the Phoenix Apostle. She also notes that people need healing soon. She can help with bandages later if healer lady is not up for it :D. (Oof, this isn't very short, sorry. )

Labra had been riding on the foreman's shoulder for a while. She was still trying to figure out how he wasn't noticing her with a glowing wand and mostly white clothes(hey, caves are dirty, plus, white doesn't exactly belong in mines). She shrugged and shut her eyes for a few minutes as he stood there with the cloak the lady had given him. A faint rustling noise was coming from it and she opened her eyes again, peering down at it. She slid down from the dwarf's shoulder and onto his forearm, cautiously poking at it. It wiggled some more and she backed up slightly, then twitched in alarm. More dangerous Chaos forms were approaching the Phoenix Apostle. She breifly contemplated going to him, but decided to stay for a little while longer. If the fighting here at the glowy crystal place with the...are they women? What in the name of Luna are they wearing? She squinted at them, then shook her head and turned away. She poked the cloak one more time, then decided to wait for whatever it was in it to come out, then inspect it, then teleport to the Phoenix. She glanced back at the smell of blood behind her, and saw Knell needed some healing. She noted that along with the other twenty-million notes in her brain. "Hey, Mr.Foreman, if the others don't notice, will you tell them when I leave? I don't know if anyone'll miss me, but, it's always good to be accounted for and not be presumed dead. I actually got mistaken for dead once, it was day and I was reeeeeally tired, so I collapsed under a chair and I guess I passed out, and the next thing I know this girl had a hold of me. It was sooooo weird! And I'm rambling, okay, I stop now. Sorry. Anyways, once the thing in the cloak comes out, I'm gonna either take it with me cause I like small animal things, or leave it here with you and let you have fun with it. Then I'm probably go to the Phoenix, since his Chaos doesn't seem too far away, so it would only take me about 3 minutes to recover, and then I might randomly connect to one of you guys here, and check in. Okay?" Labra said in one breath, barely stopping to let the Foreman answer. "Okay then. Let's wait. I recovered most of my Energy and Chaos during the time someone was unconscious and everyone was resting. So shush, and let's try not to get noticed." She tucked her wand into her sleeve, dousing the light it emitted from the Moon Chaos in it, and sat back against the Foreman's chest. The Imp's ears twitched every so often, responding to loud noises and other various things, like the levels of Chaos coming from the Apostles out at the tunnel.

TL;DR: diana escapes and tries to trap a sexy lady in a moss tarp before attempting to chuck her

Diana, still turned away from the women at the time, had found comfort in the little swamp area they had found themselves in. The moss and fungus growing on the rocks about the area weren't much, but it was much more comforting than the hollow feeling that the lifeless earth gave her from the battle earlier. So despite the putrid smell, Diana was much more comfortable now that the embrace of life was nearby.

That was until she felt the leeches. The water being pushed towards her as the creatures neared gave her an initial warning before they struck. She was usually fond of the little fish that swam about her ankles when she waded in water, but these things filled her with foreboding before they even touched their skin. Diana leaped for a rock just barely breaking the surface of the water and landed on it with just enough grace to not go tumbling over her soaking skirt and back into the water. She doubted this would provide enough protection from the filthy creatures, so she splashed quickly onto a boulder jutting about three feet from the water. Diana pulled her knees to her chest and instinctively grabbed the moss of the rock beneath her with her Chaos. The feeling of holding something green filled her with peaceful satisfaction. But before she did anything with it, she assessed her situation.

She looked up to see pure chaos. The three (poorly dressed) women were torturing the others. The one at the back seemed to be the cause of the leeches, while the other two were engaging in each of their own battles. Why were they doing this? Diana could see why the skeleton's only incentive to kill was death: it was in their nature! They looked like creatures who would do such a thing. But these women- they were definitely women- were so mean. And they took pleasure in it, as it seems. Diana began to doubt that they would even spare her, the distressed-looking little maiden with flowers growing about her hands. Diana didn't care who they spared. She, after all, wouldn't spare them.

The ginger sighed and began to feel angry.

Oh, wait. It will be hard to maneuver in a full ass dress, won't it? Diana sighed again. She wished she had more time to change earlier. She picked up much of her skirt and tied it to a modest length just above her knee.

Then she became angry.

She looked at her friends being tortured senselessly by these random women, who had no business wearing such impure clothing, and let the little piece of fury inside of her grow. And as it did, so did the moss. It crawled up the cave walls and towards the shimmering light with speed and quiet. Diana grimaced. She had never moved moss through the air before. She said a little prayer as her moss worked, growing towards the ceiling and the surrounding surface around the leech goblin. The green grew thicker and sturdier until Diana had to work to keep it from peeling off the cave. Then it leaped towards the woman in the shimmering light, hopefully encasing her in a thick blanket of moss. If the woman was covered in the trap, Diana would attempt to throw the greenery (with the goblin inside) to the ground.

TLDR:
  • Lilirel launches a cluster of rending darkness attacks.
  • She then prepares her blood vines, it's mostly to knock back the skeletons and keep them at bay.

YY53pcY.png

Lilirel glanced towards Shurik and smiled with a scoff. “The company’s not so bad here.” Her attention quickly returning to the never-ending horde of glowing green wisps and rattling bones. It didn’t take long for the Aasimar to start taking in the energy that surrounded her. Veins began to pulse and darken. The minor injuries she had sustained dripped with darker than normal blood. Her face twisting into a snarl as she unleashed a small assault with her rending darkness ability. Hurling forward dark purple energy that would collide hard with the intended targets. She was simply trying to keep the area before them clear. To keep the unending horde at bay as she hoped that the rest of their group up ahead would deal with this situation swiftly.

Digging deep into the earth she prepared her blood vines; they would be more beneficial at clearing and knocking enemies back and into each other.

TL;DR: Freaking leeches and freaking women.

Knell honestly did not know how to respond to Amira's eyebrow raising. "Let's just focus on killing them," she huffed as she sent out a hex at the nearest woman as she grunted for a moment. Her own Chaos was running low since she hadn't fully replenished it with the souls of the damned but even then, she had to do something. Where was her weapon? The girl began to search for it, feeling smile bites on her skin. What an annoyance. Gritting her teeth, the girl whipped out a dagger and immediately charged at the nearest woman, feeling the water slow her down. If she could just attack and slash away a little, then... Unfortunately she wasn't able to quite get there as she felt the death coming from her. Oh, her element. This should be proved useful. With a jolt, she yanked at it with her own Death Chaos as she tried to manipulate the woman's Death Chaos magic. Honestly this was annoying her a little, she wanted to kill her dead right now. Stupid freaking copycat woman who didn't even know how to use it properly to attack with spells and ugh what a dumb little- She kept muttering curses as she focused on that one, eyes glinting fiercely as she stared hard.

  • Shurik Gives Lilirel the Code Word
  • Shurik Enters Fugue Mode and begins swinging

Shurik Plate 500.png

Shurik smirked as he heard Lilirel. He did not take his eyes of the battle before him as he responded, “True. At least if we lose here, we’ll have that.” Shurik laughed as he raised his sword and spoke once more. “Lilirel. If we do survive this. Remember this code word. Edaris. Hopefully it will snap me out.” He nodded and then took in a deep breath. “Defend this entrance.” He released his breath and felt black consume his eyes. His pupils contracted to be cat-like this time and his Irises stained with red. The tip of Shurik’s sword slammed into the rock behind him. His knuckled turned white as he gripped the hilt of the blade in both hands He no longer held back with his swings and each arc aimed to cleave groups of enemies.

Euthalia Apricot

TL;DR Euthalia entered the scene late, on a 10 feet ledge across from the passage-defending party. She supports them with positive (energizing/minor healing) fragrances whilst trying to stay in cover.

Euthalia, for the longest time, had forgotten that she'd been on a mission. She'd been sent on a quest to retrieve a stolen relic along with her fellow Apostles, but they had entered terrain with extraordinarily fertile soil pretty early on. Figuring she'd stay behind a bit in order to check it out, as she could catch up later, she eventually realised she had stayed for long enough to lose track of the group altogether. The unexpected fork in the road didn't help either. 'Ah well...' It wasn't like she depended on the company of the fleshlings. That said, she still had a mission to fulfil, so she had spent her fair share of time trying to catch up with them.

Luckily enough, she found some clues as to their whereabouts in a Dwarven town at the base of a mountain range. They had gone into the mines to get rid of some monsters, and of whatever the source of these monsters was. She didn't like mines for various reasons, such as the lack of sunlight, the lack of good soil, and the need to use torches to see in the dark. The latter meant she'd have to wield fire (in the form of carrying a torch), which she wasn't exactly fond off. Sadly enough, it was the only alternative she had besides going in utterly blind.

After wandering through the mines for a while, she eventually recognized the sounds of trouble. She figured it'd be best to dim the torch in order to attempt approaching them unnoticed. Trying to close in on the sounds, she soon found herself on a ledge, about 3,5 meter (10 feet) higher than some of her fellow Apostles, with what seemed to be some kind of undead creatures between her and them. 'That's not ideal.' She quickly tried to figure out which of her fellow Apostles were fighting, but the darkness made it difficult.

She did recognize one of the few Apostles taller than her (Shurik). 'What was his name again?' She couldn't quite recall, as he had been somewhat unapproachable. On that note, she thought to recognize one of the female Apostles in the group as having a similar personality (Lilirel). The GM post doesn't mention him, but just in case he's also there: The most clearly present was the giant moving mountain of metal (Sorod), which was still an intriguing 'thing' to her, being so opposite in nature compared to what she was herself. The last one was recognizable by the fact that seemed to be the originator of the party's source of light )Estella). In the sun-worshipping Sylvan society, she'd probably be worshipped as a high-priestess or minor deity, but Euthalia had given up on that faith. Even so, she couldn't shake off an instinctive respect and admiration for such powers, and for the one wielding them.

Sadly enough, now wasn't the time to reconfigure her stance towards making introductions. Now was the time to act. She drew one of her daggers, which didn't seem all that useful against an undead, but it was all she had. Using poisonous or repugnant scents against the undead would, most likely, not be effective either. After all, there was little flesh and blood that could be poisoned or made to feel nauseas when the opponent was no more than a pile of moving bones. For now, the best she could do was sent a positive fragrance resembling cinnamon and spiced apple towards her allies, one that would make them feel more energized and would even have minor healing effects. The stronger their sense of smell, the sooner her allies would notice it and the more effect it would have. With some luck, one of her allies knew her just well enough to connect these sudden scents to her late arrival.

Although she took care to avoid attracting the attention of the skeleton horde, she wasn't foolish enough to assume they wouldn't notice her. Whilst spreading her fragrances, she was at the ready to ram a dagger through the skull of anything undead that tried to climb the ledge she was on, or to dodge potential projectiles.

TLDR: Jeremiah tries out some magic- using ice in the watery environment.

Luckily for Jeremiah, he had stretched before hand, and thus was able to dodge out of the way of the swing. He would save the insults for later, though he sorely wanted to at that moment. That was a strategy to be used for later, as he could probably insult the woman enough to unfocus her. His feet were sure in their waterproof boots, keeping his feet dry so it would not bother him. These women were too disgusting to even want to eat, and the urge to eat things came up quite often in battle.

'You know what to do.' His predator whispered in his ear, and he wholeheartedly agreed. Chaos erupted from his body, sinking into the water all around them. In an instant the ankle-deep water pulled toward them, shooting upward in a geyser until it covered the woman up to her face. With another burst of Chaos, the ice changed, freezing the woman in the water that had surrounded her, an ice statue in the making. A deliberate breath of Chaos came out of him, creating a solid extra layer of ice over the already frozen woman. Hopefully this worked, as he would have to fall back onto his last defense- shanking the woman until she died.

Situation
Time: 3:50 PM
Date: October 17th 327(CE)
Weather: Partly cloudy with otherwise blue skies and cool weather and a warm sun. Inside Taruhm, its warmer like used gymnasium and lit by torches and the occasional arrow slits. In the mine, there was a bit of airflow, but the only heat came from their light sources. Otherwise it was cool and with little air movement.

TooLongDidn'tRead: While those defending the path hold the line, a helpful ally appears. Zayne is getting consumed. Those fighting the 3 sisters start to see their strength and other bits of information...

Note From The Author: (The stronger the enemy, they more likely they are to hurt the characters. Meanwhile, the Apostles must work together.)
Post Listening:

The Lone Fighter
In Zayne's haste, the unusual looking path ahead did not prompt enough of a response. Evading the cave lizard, the apostle ran straight into a geletinous substance. The cave lizard slid to a halt just before reaching Zayne and immediately back away. Zayne's fires were all extinguished. In the darkness, a smothering goop encompassed his entire being. He couldn't breath, he couldn't see, and his entire body started to burn as whatever he ran into started to dissolve him. His arms and legs were free to flail, but it didn't feel like he was getting anywhere. His feet couldn't touch the ground nor could his arms reach the side walls. He would need to escape whatever this was quickly, but how and to where?

Tunnel Defense
Lilirel and Shurik valiantly held the line as Stella and Sorod did what they could. Lilirel's dark attacks went out in waves that laid waste to the approaching enemy while Shurik's rage tore through them like paper. However, Shurik's power boost left him vulnerable and one the skeletal warriors was able to get in close enough to wound Shurik. A multitude of skeletons waited behind the front line just waiting for their chance as they closed in.

Euthalia's timely arrive proved helpful. Remaining hidden for the moment from the enemy, her healing aroma reached the Apostles and healed them of an injury or two while invigorating them. Although high up, Euthalia would not be able to be confident in her ability to remain hidden. She would also know that their numbers would easily overwhelm her if she were to be discovered and caught without aid. She would need to cross to her friends and give them additional support while they help protect her.

The 3 Sisters
While Amira buffed herself and escaped her own cloud that had been turned against her, the woman she target did not stand idle. With cunning eyes, the sisters surveyed the Apostles. For whatever reason, they seemed to focus Jeremiah. The arrows released by Amira were harmlessly deflected by the woman's scepter while her other hand wove Chaos along with her sisters.

The moss, big, thick, and clumpy rained down on the woman in the back near the shimmering light. However, the woman was not captured nor toppled to the ground. She merely brushed off what moss she could as she continued casting her magic. Knell's hexes and struggle for control of the chaos were equally unsuccessful with the woman seemingly being able to shrug off the hex as well as keep control of the Chaos she wielded. All was not wasted, however. Diana and the other Prescience focused characters in the chamber would note that some of the moss falling into the light was sucked into the light. It behaved like a portal of some kind. Where it went was not clear yet, but it held the likelihood that these women and the undead of the mine likely came from this. If they could close it, the issue with the mine may be resolved.

The sisters' spell had completed, however, before it could be cast, the woman fighting Jeremiah was suddenly caught up in a rush of water and ice. Successfully ensnaring her, Jeremiah would have to maintain his hold on the magic to keep the ice present, but for the time being, the sister was trapped. She screamed and snarled as she visibly struggled within the ice that held her. The inner layer started to break and shatter giving her more movement, but the 2nd layer Jeremiah had created still continued to hold. That's when Jeremiah felt it...

Like his life was being ripped from his body, his strength and will to live greatly diminished. The siren's saving grace was trapping the 3rd sister which weakened the power of the spell that was used against him. With less than half his strength remaining, he knew he would not be able to take another attack like that. The women proved to be quite formidable despite their appearances.

Meanwhile, Labra sit in the back with the cowering Foreman. The spider did not make an appearance. But the Chaos use in the chamber would have been distracting anyway. Watching faded specter of Jeremiah getting ripped from his body and sucked into some dark void would have made for quite the spectacle. The prescience characters would be able to suspect the life force drained from the party could be used to create more undead.

Euthalia Apricot

TL;DR Euthalia tries to find the best time to sprint towards her allies, keeps supporting them through energizing/healing scents and will attempt to take down any single skeleton that manages to break through the line.

It seemed like she had gone unnoticed by the hordes of undead. Even so, Euthalia realised that her 'hiding' spot would not keep her hidden for much longer, not with so many of the undead wandering around. Crossing over towards her allies would prove difficult, but now that she had (hopefully) managed to make her presence known to them, she would no longer need to cross the distance using solely her own abilities.

Euthalia waited for Lilirel and Shurik to tear through the horde, hoping for them to thin out a fair share of the skeleton horde standing between her and them. Once it looked like the amount of skeleton foes between her and her fellow Apostles was at its lowest (such as by her allies not being able to take down more of them than the amount of new arrivals), she would use the fact that she had gone unnoticed (up until now) to drop down the ledge (by hanging from it first) and immediately made a run for it towards her allies. Keeping her head low and sticking to the least densely skeleton populated parts of the tunnel, she hoped to cross the gap in largely one piece.

Only after passing all four of her allies, Sorod and Stella included, would she come to a halt and turn around. She'd need a quick moment to recover from the sprint, as well as to 'check the damage' of her rush through enemy territory. Now a lot closer to her allies, she was able to supporter them through her scents a lot easier. That said, for as varied at influencing and affecting flesh-and-blood enemies as her abilities were, they were next to useless against a group of skeletal undead and their supportive aspects were fairly limited. Luckily enough, the limited options still proved useful, and thus she would keep using them, spreading the same fragrance resembling cinnamon and spiced apple towards her allies, hoping to keep them energized and to continue to spread the minor healing effects.

Although she could by no means take on the horde like Lilirel and Shurik were doing, she was confident in her ability to at least ram a dagger through the skull of one singular one (without dying whilst trying to do so). If a skeleton would manage to break through the combined efforts of her allies, she'd attempt to take it down before it could flank and/or back-stab them.

TL;DR: Stella lit up the surroundings a little more and shot at the enemies further away. She noticed the scent and smiled at Euthalia when she had arrived, before she continued releasing her arrows at the horde.

Stella had kept the ball of light in her hand, and once Lilirel and Shurik begun attacking she put the orb down on the ground, quickly forming her light bow in her hands. She began shooting at the skeletons, aiming for their heads, even if she did miss some. She was a lot less afraid now, having fought these skeletons before, although the other level of chaos from before had scared her. Glad that she would be of help, she continued on, shooting arrows to the undead that were farther away from the two who were attacking at the front.

It had been successful, Lilirel and Shurik cleaving through the front line in different ways and Stella, from the light of her light bow illuminating her surroundings, being able to shoot down a lot of the undead at the back. However, she suddenly felt a pain that broke her from her trance. It was then that she paused for a moment, realizing that in the process of her standing still and shooting down skeletons one of them had managed to get too close to her and stabbed her. She immediately moved away, and thankfully the wound wasn't deep, so she quickly shot a few arrows and the undead faded away at her feet. She reached a hand down to her light orb, and focused her energy to light it up a little more so that the surroundings would be slightly more lit, but not completely. From the brightness she could tell the never ending horde, and she clicked her tongue, hoping that the others in the cave will soon figure out what is going on.

She took a moment to breathe, and a sweet scent floated into her nose, one that to her represented warmth and healing. She had no idea where it had come from, but it was an amazing change from all the foul smells that she had to go through in the cave. She continued taking deep breaths to not feel the pain as much while she shot away once again, but realized that the more she breathed, the deeper the smell was, and that scent was somehow numbing the physical pain that she had. This time, she could actually feel the healing happening physically, and right when she was wondering where it was coming from, the source of the scent came running towards them. Stella had a gut feeling that it was an ally, and covered the girl while she ran past herself. Once the girl was close enough, Stella confirmed that the scent was coming from her, and that it had some healing powers. Stella turned over to the girl and smiled, glad that they have another ally on their side, and continued shooting away at the undead, feeling much more secure than before now that they have a healer with them.
