Hana raised an eyebrow at Machiko's tone. "I am Hana Haru. The girl from Tenkawa and the Sakura Shrine. My grandmother ran it. Your family used to make the trip to see the blossoms every spring till about eight years ago." She smiled at the memory, "You used to call me Hana Shojo or Sakura Shojo since my hair looks like sakura blossoms. You used to come listen to me play...I wasn't as good as I am now. Now I don't miss a note. Machiko I missed you; how come you haven't come back? Well you can't now...well you could but Oba is dead and my parents aren't that involved in my life yet. I want them to notice me so I'm going to try my hardest to be an Idol. Then they can't ignore me." As she finished she looked determined.

"Sakura Shojo..." Matsuri's eyes widened, before reverting back to their regular gloom.

Getting one thing straight - she was a Shrine Maiden. They used to be childhood friends before his debut in Sakuramatsuri.

That was a long time ago. He couldn't remember much - but hopefully he could remember something eventually. If she was aware of a time before he entered idolhood... it could work. Heck, she even remembered Machiko. She had to know him from somewhere.

Something caught Matsuri's attention.

"I want them to notice me so I'm going to try my hardest to be an Idol."

Matsuri than looks up at Hana in the eyes. "Haru Hana. I introduce myself as Suou Matsuri. I do not aspire to be an idol, but to be a Producer, a composer... and I have advice for you - do you have what it takes to be an idol?"

Turning and walking away, Matsuri continues.

"I do not speak of your skill, but dedication and sacrifice as an individual. Remember this - idols don't have friends, only co-workers and peers. I suppose we will meet again."

Mitsuru Suzuki

Gathering his two small suitcases, Mitsuru prepared to head up to his dorm. B18, hmmm? He wondered who his roommate was.

That question was answered soon after when Luce wrapped him in another hug and announced that he was in room B18 as well. "I know you're not high-maintenance, Luce. It's great that we're roommates!" It was reassuring to Mitsuru to have someone he was close to, someone who was like an older brother to him, as a roommate. It made adjusting to a completely different environment easier, even if only a little. "I guess we should head up now? Get unpacked and such."

Chouko Hana

Chouko heard the bell rang, quickly sending her the impulse to grab her stuff and make her way over to the dorms, where already she could see pairs of people introducing themselves, or if they were lucky, hugging each other from being friends already.
Hmm, I wonder who my dormmate is, hopefully we can be friends! The young purplette thought, knowing that it was going to be strange for a few days, since she knew for certain her roomate was going to be a stranger to her. It wasn't like she didn't know anybody, she just didn't spend her time outside of studying and singing in her lovely apartment where she and her dad-
No, now's not the time to be thinking of him. She chatised herself, already starting to worry about his wellbeing. Quickly smiling to reassure herself that this was going to be a blast, she looked at her key, reading the number outloud.
"B4?"

Hana watched Matsuri walk away unsure as to what had come over him. She hefted her precious items and ran toward the auditorium knowing she'd only have time to play one song before the assembly.

As she walked in she saw that the stage was already lit up and she ran over to it. She placed her violin down and untangled her hair from the zipper on the Viola soft case. She pulled out the violin and started playing "The Irish Washer Woman". She threw her whole heart into it playing the round as written moderately at first three timed over; then faster and faster thrice each time. Quarter notes turned into eighth notes which turned into sixteenth notes which in turn turned into thirty-seconds. By the time she was three measures into it she was dancing about on the stage while playing. This song had been one of the ones that you have to memorize to play to the true spirit of the song. Ultimately the player seemed to take on the aspect of a fairy dancing about while playing. It really was the only way to get the audience involved and Hana was all about the way the music made the audience feel.

The light haired male breathing heavily, the cool air burning at his lungs. He ran around people on the sidewalk, trying to avoid knocking someone over. He had slept in that morning, and now he had to quickly make his way to a place he had been looking so forwards to going to. A place where he would finally be good at something. Idol High.

He knew he was getting close, he recongized this area from the previous time he had to go to this school with his grandma to get him applied. 'Almost there...' He told himself. 'Stay calm Kazu...' He still had that rush of excitement he had after he had received the phone call.

When the school finally came into his sight, a wide grin spread ear to ear on his pale face. He stopped running now, leaning against a post. He took a deep breath, sighing. He was not in shape, and he new it. But it wasn't his fault.

He coughed into his sleeve, taking out his small blue ventalin and using it a rough two times. He sighed, putting back in his pocket. A few people looked at him strange, but he paid no heed to them. He continued walking. He looked at his phone and say that the bell should ring within the next few minutes. He had to find his first class.

He saw the large banner that read out "Freshman Sign-In" He held his bag tightly in his arms and headed over, signing in and recieving his small little slip to lead him where he ought to go. He began thinking of his parents and wondered if they would be proud, but he knew that they wouldn't be. He frowned slightly but quickly shook it off.

He knew he couldn't worry about that now. He just looked at the paper and read it over, making sure he knew where to go. He saw his dorm number written on it as well as where he would have to go and when to meet up with his group members he was assigned too. He shut his eyes a moment. This was a new start for him, and he still wasn't sure if he could do it.

elina virtanen ; 14/panromantic ; freshman sign-in
Elina stepped out of the sleek black limo her family owned, the Virtanen family crest gleaming proudly in the sun. The family's most trusted butler handed the young Finn her suitcase, smiling gently as he did so. He had known the girl since she was a small child, and they had a strong bond between the two. Elina nodded politely to him, her suitcase held tightly in her slim, pale hands.
"Bye-bye!" she called to him as he climbed into the limo, the engine roaring back to life. The window was rolled down and a "farewell!" was called out before the limo pulled out of the curb. Elina turned on her heel and walked briskly towards the shining building. She approached a table with a banner brightly stating "FRESHMAN SIGN-IN". She sighed and wrote her name down onto the paper, and held the shiny new dorm key in her hand. She walked down the hall, and settled down a bench where people were sparse. The girl pulled out her phone and checked her Tumblr, reblogging her favorite pictures

A bright yellow cab sped down the winding road towards a school named "Idol High". Inside, Mahiro Higurashi gazed out the window, taking in the sight of nature's beauty all around him. He expected this place to be located in a rather more urban environment but this was indeed a very unexpected yet welcome surprise. Mahiro always preferred the peaceful life in the countryside compared to the hustle and bustle of city life. Though Idol high wasn't really located in the countryside, it is safely situated a bit farther way from the metropolitan area.

"The location is indeed well thought of. Nobody would be dumb enough to build a serious music-centered school in a place where there are too much distractions. " He thought while still marveling at the sight of all the greenery.

He would have not tired of feasting his eyes on the sight had the cab not came to an abrupt stop, signalling their arrival.

After fishing out a wad of cash from his coat pocket and paying the cab driver, the bell rang as if on cue. Although it's true that Mahiro didn't want to be tardy on his first day, he never showed a tinged of alarm in his face. Considering all the preparations that needed to be made in order to get here, being late for a couple of minutes is quite reasonable.

"I'm honestly surprised that Aniki wasn't even fazed when I rejected his offer before saying I wanted to pursue a career in music. It was like he expected that outcome from the beginning and was just testing how strong my resolve and passion for music is... Well... I should just be glad he gave me permission. " Mahiro mused as he fetched his luggage from the cab's trunk and calmly started towards the building.

However, he couldn't help spotting a rather luxurious limousine parked a few meters from the cab he rode.

"So some people still preferred to show that they live luxuriously, eh? I wonder what a rich kid is doing in a school like this. " Mahiro knew he wasn't one to talk about luxury when his older brother, Shiro, is the richest man in Japan. If he wanted it, he could have arrived in the school also in a limousine, or even a bloody helicopter but Mahiro did not want anything to do with luxury.

Firstly, his family had plunged into the furthest depths of poverty after his parents died. It made him appreciate the little things that one would usually overlook in life such as the bond between family. Such luxury is unneeded to live a fulfilling life. Money is not the only form of wealth in the world after all.

Also, he came to this school to make a name for himself. Using the Higurashi's influence, wealth or power would only make it harder for him to be recognized as a great pianist since that would be overshadowed by the fact that he bears the name Higurashi.

For the next four years, he i going to attend here and live here. In this for years, he would be given the knowledge he needed to further polish his skills and hone his craft. His first step inside the building was not only symbolic towards his first step in fulfilling his dreams. It was also his first defiant step to escape the shadow of the Higurashi name and be recognized not by his name but by his talent.

Once he entered the building, he saw a rather large, eye-catching banner that had the words "FRESHMAN - SIGN-IN" printed on it. He approached the girl manning the station and noted that she had a rather bored look on her face. However, after writing his name on the sheet of paper, the girl's eyes widened like saucers, dumbstruck at the sight of his name...

"Oh boy... here we go again." Mahiro muttered under his breath before sighing profusely.

"Hi... Hig.... Higu..... Higurashi?!!"

Before the girl could make a scene, Mahiro gently placed his index finger on her lips to calm her down. Though that act only managed to fluster her even more as evidenced by the slight tinge of pink on her cheeks.

"Listen, I don't really want anyone to make a big deal about my family's name. I came here to escape from that and make a name for myself. I'd very much appreciate it if you keep quiet about this." Mahiro said in a calm and gentle tone.

"O... Of course! I just didn't expect I'll meet two Higurashis in the same week. Don't worry, I'll try my best to keep quiet about this."

"Oh that's right. Shione did come here to arrange for my "other" luggage to be brought in earlier than the rest of the students'. Due to it's nature, I can't possibly carry it by myself nor fit it in the trunk of a cab. I apologize if we have inconvenienced you with those preparations."

"No... Not at all! It's completely reasonable. You already know your dorm room, right?"

"Yeah. Room A7 if I remember correctly." Mahiro nods as he recalls what Shione had said to him.

"That's the one. Here's your dorm key. I hope you enjoy your stay with us!"

After bowing gratefully at the attendant, he proceeded towards the dorms to deposit his remaining luggage. However, the sound of someone playing the violin marvelously prompted him to follow the beautiful tune. He found himself inside the auditorium listening to a beautiful girl with cotton candy pink hair playing the violin with such passion that she was dancing on stage while doing so. After her performance, he, together with the rest of the crowd, gave her a brief round of applause before Mahiro left for his original destination, the dorms. Once again, he was reminded that his was a school dedicated to music. He is bound to meet talented people like her along the way and that makes him exceptionally glad to have followed his gut and enrolled here. Hopefully, hearing the girl's performance would prove to be a good omen for the duration of his stay here.

Eta ran to the auditorium, staring in awe at the girl on stage.
How does she do that? That song sounds awesome, but so hard... Maybe I can try on the guitar soon? I mean, if I can even remember the tune. My memory sucks.
The girl clapped, hopefully not loud enough to disturb the others. She sat in the corner and watched.

Kazu was astounded at the size of the dorm building. He really could not believe how large they were. His heart began beating rapidly in his chest, causing him to hold his suitcases tighter. He looked at the watch that wrapped tightly around his small wrists like a koala on a branch, looking to the time. He figured he should probably see if there was a map anywhere, so he could find his way around this place. He began looking around. There were so many people walking all around him. He began feeling rather insecure.

All these people looked so rich or so... famous? He wasn't sure if that was the word he was looking for. They all looked like they had some sort of famous all-star ancestry, but then, here he was. A simple nobody. Resembled nobody. Looked, in fact, like a nobody. He was the son of a lawyer, and a writer. His grandmother was a gardener. He never knew his grandfather. It was as if the reality of this had just punched him in the face.

He kept his head low, his whole face reddening. He began to try and get someone's attention. He was ignored completely. He reached his hand out slightly, and would call out. "Excuse me-" no luck. "Can you help-" no luck. "Please wait-" no luck. "H-Hello, can-" no luck either. This continued for what seemed like forever.

Finally, Kazu let out a long sigh. He set his bags down a moment and ran a hand through his silk white hair. "Be calm Kazu." He mumbled to himself. "Someone will stop..." He had no choice but to say this out loud. His mind was far too negative all the time, that he had to convince himself it would be alright.

He began to ask people once more, hoping at least one person would stop. Even if they themselves have no idea, it'd be nice knowing he wasn't just invisible here.

Eta left the auditorium, wandering around the school and aimlessly drifting to a place where several people stood. She frowned when she saw someone being ignored completely. That was just mean!
Who's that boy over there? Is he lost?
Eta headed for the white-haired boy who seemed to be trying to catch people's attention. Yeah, he certainly looked lost in this fancy school.
"Hey, are you lost? You really look like it..."

When Kazu heard a voice speaking to him, he turned almost immediately. He felt a wave of relief rush over him. He was so happy that finally, after all his failed attempts, someone was so kind as to acknowledge he existed. He looked at the girl who stood before him. She had long brown hair, and was maybe a few inches shorter than he was. He let out a relieved sigh.

"Actually," He spoke in response to her question, "I am lost. I am not sure exactly how this school is set up..... Can you tell me where the auditorium is exactly? Or where my dorm is?" He asked, showing her the small sheet of paper he had gotten from the lady at the sign-up area.

He was aware that he was surrounded by the dorm building, but he had no clue which one was his. He couldn't see sign labelling the buildings, but maybe because he was too worried about being late to take the time to look. He wondered if he seemed stupid, he frowned immediately at this thought.

"Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm not very bright, and I'm not very observant... Sorry to bother you like this, it's the first day and you're probably busy yourself, that is, if you're a freshman. If not then I am so sorry just..... I don't know what I'm trying to say..." He sighed, realising he was just blabbering like a fool.

Eta laughed. "No worries! To find the auditorium, just go to that corridor over there, turn left on the first part where there are two corridors, and then turn right on the next one. I don't know what your dorm room's number is, so I can't help you there. The name's Eta, by the way!"

Aika Mizushima

"Yeah but your reactions are cute so teasing you about love is a source of infinite entertainment."

The white-haired female's cheeks tinted pink as she grumbled , "I'm not cute !" . She then pouted before folding her arms across her chest , her trumpet still in one hand before looking away , knowing that if she said some more , more were bound to come her way .

"Oh, I got A5 too. Stuck with each other for another 4 years huh?"

Aika Mizushima stared slightly at the female cutely before saying , "Don't make me sound so bad , Aruko ." . She then sighed before smiling , "Well , at least we get our own rooms !" . She then walked over to her large suitcase , tugging at it before pointing in the way of the dorm rooms , "To the dorm !" .

As Mahiro calmly made his way towards the dorms, he noticed that another student that should have been close to his age was visibly distressed. He seemed lost and was trying to ask people for directions but his presence was either too weak for people to notice or everyone is just too busy and excited to get to their dorms that they've accidentally or purposefully ignored him. He was about to lend him his aid himself when he spotted a girl finally coming to his rescue and giving him directions.

"Well, I'm glad that was taken care of." Mahiro mused.

Even if he had decided to lend the guy his help, he probably wouldn't have done a better job than that girl did.

With someone already assisting the young man, Mahiro headed for the dorms once more.

"I seriously hope that the movers took great care into moving "her" into my room. I can make minor repairs but if they broke anything major, ordering the right parts and calling a specialist in would be problematic..." He muttered under his breath.

Halfway through the courtyard, he couldn't help but wonder if his childhood friend also managed to enroll here. Monetary problems weren't an issue for her family as far as he could tell and she did have quite the passion for music. He wouldn't be surprised if she chose to continue pursuing a career in music but it would be far too coincidental if she did enroll in this school and they managed to reunite like in some cheesy romance manga.

"But... after leaving her like that when my parents died... I wonder if she'll ever be glad of seeing me again... Probably not."

He couldn't help but feel a bit melancholic as he recalled the forlorn days of his childhood. The first time they met was when her father, an old acquaintance of his parents, invited him to play for their orchestra. Back then, he was a flustered mess of an anti-social child, a detrimental result of his obsession to hone his talent in an effort to gain the love and recognition he long sought from his parents to no avail. But she was so cheerful. energetic and enthusiastic that she managed to break through his shell almost instantly.

He still recalled the taste of the chicken soup and crunchy bread they ate at the building's cafeteria and the time he saved her from falling to her death when they entered an old section of the building and the floor collapsed from underneath them.

He even remembered that she repaid his heroic deed by giving him her first kiss.

He also reminisced that on that same night, her parents found out that they entered that abandoned area and forbade her from performing on stage. He had to make a bet with her father wherein he had to memorize a piece he had not played before and perform it on stage. Had he lost, he would have given up playing the piano for good. However, he played Mozart's Piano Sonata No.16 perfectly and won the bet. His childhood friend was allowed to perform on stage because of his victory...

"I can never forget her smile after her performance and how happy her entire family was... I'd give anything, even my share of the company... just to go back to that moment. I'd be satisfied if I can see her again after all these years... even is she does hate me now."

This was the path he chose and regretting it would not change anything.

With a bitter smile on his face, he trudged on forward towards the dorms.

Hana smiled at the audience she had garnered and bowed then waved. She hurriedly grabbed her violin case and put Yang away. She then collected both cases and ran off toward the dorm that would be her new home, she missed the shrine. She ran past a blonde boy and a bright eyed girl talking to him. She smiled at the boy and girl. Not paying attention to where she was going she tripped falling into a blonde boy who was taller than her. That wasn't saying much most people were taller than her. She winced as she checked Yin and Yang, her viola and violin respectively. They looked like they were unharmed and she then looked up at the boy.

Kazu bowed to the female in front of him, so relieved he could at least help her with one of two things. "Thank you so much." He said before standing up straight and looking at the girl before him. "My name is Kazuhiko. Nice to meet you." He said, glancing at his watch. He took in a sharp breath. "Oh no I'm late... Sorry! I really should be going." He paused, picking up his suitcases in his hands. He smiled a bright grin to the female before him. "Where are you headed now?" He asked. He thought maybe they could go to the auditorium together, but seeing as how it was the opposite direction where the auditorium was, he highly doubted it. But he figured he ask anyways to be polite, and he wouldn't mind the company. He was going to try and find an old childhood friend of his that he heard was going to the same school. They haven't talked recently, but he wanted to see him again, figuring it's be really nice. Just see how he is doing.

He wondered what to expect from the auditorium. He heard it was kinda like an open house, that people were performing their talents in front of the school or something. He wanted to see, take in some of the talents and just truly embrace the fact he was actually here. Then, he began to wonder. He looked at the girl and thought a moment, 'I wonder what she's here for...', but he didn't want to ask. He felt a little laid back on that part, and besides, he hadn't gotten an answer to his previous question, so he would just wait and see if maybe she and him could chat or no.

As Mahiro was leisurely walking towards his assigned dorm building at his own pace, he felt someone bumping hard against him from behind. followed by the crashing of what sounded like medium-sized objects, which made him momentarily lose his balance. But due to his quick reflexes, he managed to regain his balance which prevented him from falling face first into the ground. He urgently turned around to see who it was only to come face to face with the pink-haired girl whom he saw performing at the auditorium earlier. He admired her performance but he only saw her as one of the many talented students in this school that he will not likely meet due to the sheer number of people here but he wouldn't have thought that he'd be proven wrong so soon and under these type of circumstances.

"Hey, are you alright?" Mahiro asked the pink haired girl with a worried expression.

Afterwards, he offered a hand to help her get up, a gentlemanly gesture expected of him in a situation like this. However, he was uncertain about how to deal with this situation should she refuse his offer? Should he stay and insist or respect her refusal and leave. Choosing the latter would make him look like an inconsiderate jerk while opting for the former might make him seem like he is prying into her personal space. This situation is quite troublesome indeed. Yet all throughout this, his hand remained outstretched towards the pink haired violinist, as he was anxiously waiting for her course of action.

Hana smiled up at the boy's outstreched hand and took it easily letting him pull her up. Which puts them rather close and Hana freezes. "I uh... I'll live. No damage to Yin, Yang or myself. And my apologies. I was a little caught up in getting back to my dorm which is right here actually." Hana blushed and looked down shifting nervously. "Anyway, I should make it up to you. I'm a pretty good cook if you want I could make something for you." Hana's blushed deepened. "I'm sorry you don't even know me and I'm assuming you'd like anything I made; and for all I know you have a girlfriend that would assume I'm hitting on you...and I'm babbling now." Hana stops and bites her bottom lip and ducks her head. She starts to inch away looking like she's thoroughly embarrassed, which she is, but trying not to show it. "Ummmm I'll just go now."

"Don't make you sound so bad? And here I was thinking I was being rather generous!" Aruko tugged at her own case and followed Aika, hoping she had some vague idea of where to go, when an odd thought popped into her head. "Hey, Aika. Whatever happened to that kid you used to be friends with? I wonder if he's here too. You could reunite like in some cheesy romance manga!" she taunted, while casually dropping a hint that she might end up breaking the 4th wall at some point, like all the best comic relief characters.
