It was raining. Hard. New York was never this empty. Sure, only a hundred or so people were on the streets, but that's a low for the city. It was normally buzzing with faces and activity. Perhaps it was the storm that was coming down on them or the mid august heat. Luckily for Jed, the traffic wasn't too bad.
Jed was a twenty four year old cab driver from London Ontario. He enjoyed this job, of was almost relaxing. He wasn't one of those cab drivers who took the long way to get more money. He took short cuts. He knew people had places to go and things to do. Plus, he got to meet new people each pick up. He stood at 64was husky as his mother called him. He had shoulder length brown hair that he always tied back into a pony tail.
"What a nice day. Traffic wise." Jed chuckled to himself as his four rider got out. It was just getting to noon, and he was convinced it would be q slow day of cruising around.

Samantha Bennet was an aspiring photographer, and in New York that wasn't anything new. She didn't consider it too cliche that she chose this job, but it was what she wanted to do. Ever since she was seven she set her mind to being a photographer. Samantha wasn't one of those people who took pictures of everything, but she took enough pictures during the day to make it her job. During her days in Garden City, which oddly enough is an actual place, she joined clubs, groups, and even started her own website with photography. New York was a great place for photography, but she really didn't appreciate city life. Samantha looked up at Jed and nodded to him and smiled. He seemed like a good guy.
