And Then There Was Darkness

CARVER

Carver woke up the next day and sat up, rubbing his eyes. Today they were going to train some of the newer folks, test their fighting or medic skills depending what position they were place in. He stood up and started before heading to the backroom where the medics would be with Aidan teaching them. Since they didn't want to waste medical supplies they were using pieces of cloth instead of unwrapping and ACE bandage and had some sewing equipment for stitching up wounds along with some old Epi-Pens that were no longer useful to practice injecting what precious little medication they had if needed.

JANE

Jane was thinking f leaving. She didn't think she could take the type of lifestyle needed to survive in this gang. She was sitting up watching people bustle around getting ready while her mind raced. She a big fight was coming and didn't think she was brave or skilled enough to be in it. Jane was afraid she'd kill someone while trying to help them or mess up. This gangs cause seemed important, sure, but she just wasn't built for this.
Jane stood up and slung her bag on her back considering whether to head to the door or to the backroom.

LILY

When Lily woke up, she saw Carver had already left. Stretching a little, she glanced around before asking a nearby girl what was going on. She said they were doing training, which made Lily cringe, but nod. She stood, stretching before walking towards where a lot of people headed, the back room.

JASON

Jason was standing at the door of the back room, waiting on Jane. He could see that she looked unsure, but was letting her make her own decision. If she didn't stay, he didn't.. But he hoped for her own sake she would. It'd be hard, but then he knew even if something happened to him, Jane would be safe.

CARVER

Carver sat in the back room waiting for all the new medics to show up. There were still a few sleeping it seemed. He looked out. Most were stirring now. One girl was standing by the door looking outside with her bag on her back. He frowned at this, what was she doing? They had to watch closely for people leaving in case they worked for the gang they were trying to over throw.
Carver noticed Lily come in,

"You don't train here. Only medics." he told her pointing her towards a different room where most people were gathering. They were being split into intelligence gatherers/stealth and just plain fighters.

JANE

Jane didn't see Jason. She honestly wasn't sure what do to. She knew even if she left she wasn't going to go get Jason. He liked it here and she didn't want to bother him. Jane gripped her backpack straps and bit her lip. She noticed her sister go to the backroom and frowned,s he didn't want to train with her sister.

LILY

Lily gave a thankful nod. She turned, going into the other room and glancing around at all the people. She sighed softly, shaking her head a little. She didn't like crowds, and now she was wondering if this was such a good idea. Jane needed somewhere safe, and obviously wherever she was, Jane wouldn't be happy. Plus, she didn't like such a big group... However... Carver seemed really nice and she could do more help..She bit her lip, looking for anyone who didn't seem as lost as her.

JASON

Jason looked over to the rooms before back at Jane. He leaned against the wall, pulling his bag off his back and pulling out a pencil, twirling it between his fingers. After a moment, he decided to go ask what she was thinking about.
"Jane... You okay?"
He asked softly, still twirling the pencil.

JANE

Jane turned startled when Jason addressed her. She frowned slightly thinking of her answer. If she was going to leave she'd leave on her own without him. She'd caused him enough trouble already. Maybe he'd sneak away tonight when everyone was sleeping.
"Um nothing." she lied. She walked quickly past Jason to the backroom where the medics were gathering.

CARVER

Carver stood in the back room. Aidan introduced herself and her medics and quickly started the training session. They were going over how to bandage people up quickly and other skills that would be very useful in the upcoming battle. She was also testing people to become senior medics. Carver was supposed to become a senior medic which meant he would be at a home base taking in the more severely injured.

In Lily's room they were assigning carriers who would take wounded away and general fighters.

JASON

He hesitated, but let her go. He went into the other room, knowing that's where he was supposed to be. He noticed Lily and frowned, walking over.
"You. Do you know how much you hurt Jane?"

LILY

Lily was waiting to be sorted between carriers and fighters when she heard a voice.
"Jason..?"
She turned, her eyes widening a little.
"Look... I..." She looked down.

JASON

He pushed past Lily, feeling suddenly like he was going to cry. He quickly calmed himself, waiting. She looked so much like her brother.. He sighed.

LILY

She flinched as he pushed past her and she moved so she couldn't see him, keeping her head down, though her hands were in fists. Couldn't he see she was having a hard enough time?! Lily sighed. She'd have to find a way to show them she never meant to hurt them...

(wanna time skip to the battle or something?)

CARVER

It was early...still dark out. Carver and the rest of the medics we're waiting no for the recon to get back. They were resulting too. The other fighters were getting ready around them to head out.

JANE

Jane looked up as the recon came in and went straight to the leader. They talked in hushed whispers for s while.

Jane stood there her hands clutched tightly around her medic bag strap. She was freaking out. Her body was rocking slightly even though she was standing and her knuckles turned white.

LILY

Lily silently stood amongst the group of fighters. She wasn't strong enough to be a carrier, yet she was fast enough to be a possible fighter.. So they stuck her there. She had her arms crossed tightly around her and she felt oddly calm, though terrified.

JASON

Shifted on his feet, his hands in his pockets. He was a carrier, strong enough to lift unconscious or wounded allies and carry them from the battlefield.

(I'm really having a hard time with writers block for this RP....)
