Post Example
Ever since the siblings moved into their new apartment, Mason had trouble sleeping in his new bedroom which was bare compared to his old bedroom that was filled with music and video game posters. It was a rather difficult readjustment in his life and it hasn't been easy for him, he decided that he didn't want to worry his sister about him and kept a face on when she would ask how he is, but he trusted his sister and knew she knew what is right for him. Maybe being passive and quiet about his feelings wasn't the most ideal decision, but he always chose to stay clear from conflict, especially from people he loves.
When they first signed the lease to rent their apartment, they had to go with the cheapest one in town, of course, this came with no air conditioning which made his room extremely hot, the boy had all of his windows wide open with his blanket thrown off of the bed and laid down as barely clothed as possible. Living in the new town made the boy miss his old home, his old friends and especially an air-conditioned bedroom. Mason hadn't met many friends at school, some kids introduced themselves and seemed nice but Mason still sat by himself at lunch, it made him feel lonely but it was better than going up to some kids and asking to sit with them.
Mason felt like he was about to doze off when he started to hear noises coming from outside his bedroom, the boy grabbed his flashlight off his side table and slowly walked over to the door and took a peek through the small crack left open from his door, he began opening the door slowly and turned the button on the flashlight to scan his area, Mason looked to his left and right before being startled by a mumbled voice. "No, go away, I'm sorry, get off of..." After recollecting himself, Mason hesitantly walked closer towards the voice, which sounded like it came from the living room, so before reaching the room, the boy took a deep breath before turning the corner in the room to see where the voice was coming from, his sister Malia. Mason was relieved to see that it was just his sister and not an intruder, but that feeling was interrupted to the realization that his sister was having a nightmare. "Hey Malia, you're having a nightmare, wake up." Malia suddenly woke up and sat up from the couch recollecting herself. "Are you okay?" Mason asked his sister, clearly worried about her, Malia sat him down and hugged him. "I'm okay now, thanks, buddy." | |
