"Alex was awake this morning asking for Jack, so he could take over practices in his absence. I filled him in on things, and he slept most of the day. He was awake for a little while and the doctor cleared him to go home, just before you got here." Becka explained, leaving out all the teary details.
 
Zander nodded. "Oh...okay. If you need me." he held his number out. "If you need me." he repeated.
 
Becka looked at the paper in his hand a moment before reaching out to take it "Thanks. I appreciate it." she said genuinely. She hoped they wouldn't need it, but if Alex did collapse again there was very little she could do.

Just then Lacey knocked on the door and let herself in at Becka's repeated "It's open."
 
Zander stood. "I trust you to take care of him..I wish you the best." he walked over, smiling faintly at Lacey before sighing and walking out, closing the door.
