I haven't read anyone's comments, so forgive me if I repeat something but these are my feelings about the ice bucket challenge.

Have you seen a video by a young man named Anthony Carbajal?

His challenge is ridiculously silly, but if you sit through it until AFTER he does the challenge, you might change your mind about this whole thing. There is one line he says that sums up my feelings:

“I promise your news feed will go back to cat videos and ‘Let It Go‘ covers, but right now the ALS community has the main spotlight."

I think the human race has this shitty habit of hating something if it's pushed in their face too often. I can get like that about some things too, so I'm not excluding ANYONE from this. But when it's for a good cause, when it's money put toward a charity that, if not to CURE this disease, at least make the lives of those suffering with it a little bit easier...

I'll never complain about something like this.

Even if most are doing it because it's a FAD, it's still raising awareness, it's still bringing in money. And that's what counts.
