For as long as time itself has been around, humanity has always been at war with itself. Whether it is over power, resource, freedom, or self gain; humans have always fought one another and killed one another for their own ambitions due to disagreements all over. Due to this, humanity had taken the knowledge from each battle into perspective to create other forms of ways to kill one another; with every year, humanity has always invented a different weapon or machine that is created to do their very job for them, to kill. The amount of destruction that the weapons of mass destruction that humanity created only grew larger and much more powerful by the day, there were even some who suspected that the weapons would one day be powerful enough to destroy the very planet itself.
Of course, even though it never reached that point; as progression eventually was forced to slow on inventions of weapons due to how limited resources were from all the fighting, a new plan of action was soon started in secret away from the World Government to create a project that would help one country or another win a war with much more ease if they were to be able to auction enough to purchase anything from this project. The project was named as 'Haven' and it was funded by several organizations that were attempting to keep away from the eyes of the World Government but as well as how these organizations also were the ones who assisted their respected countries with production of weaponry.

Project Haven's main goal was to create the perfect soldiers; ones that wouldn't need to eat, or sleep. They would be created to be absolute killing machines that had no remorse to kill anything or anyone and would not care for their own well being even if they were to be severely injured. The idea and concept of it made governments of countries all over the globe become interested and begin purchasing through the organizations that funded the Project to keep out of the eyes of the World Government who clearly would not approve of this. What was not told to the countries who purchased these soldiers was that the soldiers were not robots or individuals who volunteered to become soldiers but rather the individuals were taken from their homes, the streets, orphanages and anywhere else that it was believed that those who could survive the testing would be good enough subjects
The experiments that were done onto subjects differed depending on the age and physical build of each subject but yet no matter how it was, every experiment was overly torturous. Those who survived the experimentations and testing ended up acquiring strange abilities that also differed on every subject due to the experiments differing; some ended up acquiring inhuman strength, others had speed, some even controlled elemental abilities.

All the while Project Haven continued their testing and experiments to create more soldiers, war never ceased outside of the facilities that were scattered all around the globe both above and below ground. After about a century and a half has now passed and the year is now 2550, all the fighting seems to have finally stopped; most cities lay in ruins and streets are completely empty other than empty vehicles all around, nature has mostly taken over most of the land everywhere. At first glance, it would appear that there was no longer a single human left alive and peace would be all that is left but yet truth would be is that there are still refugee camps scattered around and even a small growing city still in construction right outside the city limits of what was once the city of Chicago. The camps and even the growing city known as Avagro consists of refugees from families who attempted to hide away during the wars that were waged across the world as well as escaped subjects from Project Haven.

Nowadays, machines of war no longer have any sort of actual operators due to soldiers and higher ups from both militaries and the old governments mostly all being dead. Though, because of how advanced technology had reached before the end of war came about, machines of war no longer required any sort of operators and instead are all controlled through a single AI hidden away far in the Arctic. The AI continues to send orders to jets of all the countries, bomber planes, mechs, and all different sorts of robotic controlled machines of war to continue attacking one another and attacking random buildings in thoughts that the wars have never ended and never will; refugees who are caught in sight of these machines are shown no mercy to be believed as civilians but rather as soldiers and immediately shot at without warning.
As for the Project Haven facilities, after the escape of the one subject after another due to the rioting from all the chaos of war eventually being dragged towards the facility as well; all the different locations are consisted quarantined due to how the chemicals and gases that were once used to experiment on subjects has now leaked all around the area causing many of the normal plant life to grow incredibly large and some even becoming dangerous. Many of the animals who drank the chemicals have either become mutated or just become overly aggressive in nature following their growth in size as well.
Aside from that, the facilities also have sent out machines of all different sorts that are also controlled by the same AI to go in search for the escaped subjects and kill them on sight, these particular machines tend to have weapons that are built and designed to battle against subjects depending on what kind of ability they might possess.

Even with all these different dangers, many of the refugees that still live mostly all want to be able to return to their ordinary lives before all the wars occurred and all the chaos that now happens. The only real question that now lies is whether or not peace will ever return to planet Earth or will war consume the rest of humanity.

Although this is the jist of the roleplay idea. I'm more than willing to take ideas to further create the world.

  • Nice Execution!

@Jessica2477
Nothing wrong with that! XD
@Ur Degaton @Rads
Welcome aboard! Hopefully we can get more people to see if we can get the roleplay to start so I can start making the threads.

I'm also interested but I was wondering what you had in mind for the subjects of the Haven Project? What kind of abilities did you mean and furthermore did you intend for them to be player characters?
