Air bending has a weird effect on fire. (•3•)

Yep, pretty sure air counters fire.

(I'm no expert, but I think you'd need to be skillful at airbending to put out a firebender's flames. Otherwise the fire would probably just overpower the air. Water is way better at wrecking a firebender's day.)
