Basic Premise

The multiverse is composed of infinite Earths, some so similar you can spend multiple lifetimes searching for any discernable differences and come up short. Others so radically different, they defy comprehension. Worlds brimming with life, empty ruined husks of planets. Paradises, utopias, hellholes, dystopias.

Numerous worlds long past the point of no return.

This world you find yourself on...is not one of those. Not truly. Not yet.

Earth 11080 is the official designation. A world thrown into chaos not from nuclear war, or an alien invasion, but rather the unintended consequences of the actions of one man.

Through his actions, he allowed a dangerous pathogen to be released. Survivor 118. Transmitted through water or air, its intended purpose was to give people the ability to survive in contaminated/irradiated environments as well as let them eat anything. It did much worse than that.

Months went by without any symptoms showing as the chemical spread through the water of New York City. Traveling masses allowed it to spread unknown to various countries on the planet. The first inclination that anything was even wrong came on television. Spider Man, in a brawl with Rhino, spread into a busy stadium. The fight ended with Spider Man eating Rhino on live television.

The Fantastic Four soon intervened, capturing Spider Man and bringing him back to the Baxter Building. There, they met with fellow scientists Hank Pym, T'Challa and Hank McCoy along with other professionals and attempted to figure out what had happened. They learned that he had been infected, his higher brain functions summarily shutting down and regressing to a primitive and predatorial human being who hungered for flesh.

Worse, the science team slowly began to realize it was not an isolated incident, as the virus had been around for quite some time. Reports of it came from all over New York, from New Jersey, along the coast of California. Reed Richards deemed it a global threat as the scientists worked around the clock.

They eventually learned the outbreak was caused by Survivor 118 and based on old police reports, that the Punisher had ambushed a mafia shipment of it and was responsible for the spread. They sent Wolverine out to retrieve him for them but before he could arrive, Hank McCoy and Ben Grimm succumbed to the infection. Ben released the captive Spider Man who then started devouring Hank Pym. The loss of both Hanks was a devastating blow to the science team.

The Baxter Building no longer deemed secure, Reed and T'Challa decided to move their efforts to a warehouse in New Jersey, where Reed had stored specialized equipment.

Ben Grimm went to the infected Hulk, hoping to merge their tribes together to butcher the scientists. An escort of heroes led the convoy out of the city that was growing more chaotic by the minute, culminating in a large confrontation on one of the bridges out of New York.

Earth-11080_Goethals_Bridge_Battle.jpg

The brutal battle that ensued claimed many lives on both sides and cost Wolverine his left arm and one of his claws.

But it was more than just a fight against the Infected, it was a fight against time. Anyone could turn on a dime, allies of one moment becoming adversaries of the next. As the ranks of the Avengers and other superheroes slowly dwindled, the hope of victory seemed to be unattainable.

When the final Avenger left in New York finally passed on, that left Punisher as the only real threat to the tribal infected within the city. He continued his war as he always had.

Meanwhile, hope actually did survive. The science team, who had by this point relocated to a remote outpost in the snow of Alaska and continued their efforts. T'Challa believes the only course of action is to save enough people to start a new world. Reed believes that any cure would take years, maybe even longer to achieve. The infected were rewritten on a DNA level, meaning the only cure would be altering the DNA themselves to nullify that. A process that would be incredibly lengthy, especially to spread across the world.

The few superhumans left along the scientists are deemed too valuable to risk in outright battle. Quicksilver serves as a scout and retrieval agent, while the few that could resist the effects of the infectious plague reside as security. Those include those with healing factors such as Wolverine and X-23, who can feel the virus in their systems but can choose to ignore it if they exercise enough willpower and synthetic individuals like Vision and Machine Man who are outright immune to it.

And leaving this Earth behind to start life on a new one was considered but quickly thrown aside. If just one of them turned...the whole thing could start all over again.

Out of the question. So...

To both Reed's and T'challa's ends, this is where you come in. Recruited from a number of worlds and times courtesy of an invention of Reed's, they wish you to do both. To save lives and to assist in gathering any DNA samples for the science team across the ruined world.

The world as it was may have come to an end, but there was still a chance to rebuild.

Name:
Jessica Drew

Superhero alias:
Black Widow

Personality:
Given her background, she shares a lot of her traits with Peter Parker(his humor, who he's attracted to, etc) though she has strived to break away from this and establish her own character, to be her own person.

As a multiversal ally(long story) once told her:

"I'm proud of you, Jess. You wear the spider well. You're tough-minded and a pro and as noble as Peter Parker ever was. There's a lot of him in you, but there's even more of yourself. Don't forget that."

Powers:

Spider Physiology:
Black Widow's hands and feet have the ability to manipulate the inter-atomic binding forces of matter, allowing her to form temporary molecular bonds between her body and another object. This enables her to cling to solid surfaces and scale walls simply by placing his hands on them. She also possesses a "spider-sense" which alerts her to danger. This takes the form of a tingling sensation at the base of her skull. Through experience, she has learned how to sense differences in the various tingles she feels, determining whether a danger is potential or immediate, how intense a threat it is, what direction it is coming from, etc.
  • Superhuman Strength: She possesses superhuman strength enabling her to press lift approximately 10+ tons. Black Widow's physical strength is sufficient to lift and throw objects as heavy as most standard auto mobiles with ease. She must also pull her punches and kicks unless fighting someone of similar or greater physical durability. Otherwise, her blows would prove fatal to a normal human being. She has demonstrated that she strong enough enable her to knock out people with normal durability with as little as a tap to the head. Her physical strength also extends into her legs, enabling her to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound.
  • Superhuman Speed: She can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.
  • Superhuman Stamina: Her advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows her to exert herself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair her. At her peak, she can physically exert herself for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair her.
  • Superhuman Durability: Black Widow's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. Her body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. She can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by a super-humanly strong opponent, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort.
  • Superhuman Agility: Her agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. She is extraordinarily limber and her tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being, despite their enhanced strength. She has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. She can also perform any complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. She can easily match or top any Olympic record at gymnastics apparatus such as flying rings, climbing ropes, horizontal bars, and trampolines.
  • Superhuman Equilibrium: Black Widow possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. She seems able to adjust her position by instinct, which enables her to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow. She has developed a unique fighting style that made full use of her agility, strength, and equilibrium.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: Her reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about 15 times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with her spider-sense, the speed of her reflexes allows her to dodge almost any attack, even direct gunfire, if she is far enough away.
  • Wall-Crawling: Black Widow has the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to her body (especially concentrated in her hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Limits to this ability seem to be psychosomatic, and the full nature of this ability has yet to be established.
  • Organic Webbing: She has organic web shooters enabling her to release strong elastic adhesive webbing through her fingertips. She can use these webs for transportation (web slinging), binding foes, and creating sticky nets. Unlike Spider-Man, there appears to be no limit to how much organic webbing she can produce.
Skills:
Skilled in hand to hand combat from SHIELD training and her own experiences
Proficient in hacking, enough to take over the systems of the Inheritors' chief scientific mind, Jennix.
Tutored by Tony Stark on the inner workings of his power armor, enough so that she was able to remove the armor off a hostile clone of Tony Stark with only minor difficulties.

Bio:
The female clone of Peter Parker, she inherited his brain patterns and memories down to a tee. This has prompted no end of deep thought on her end, on what makes a person a person. Full of memories of a life she didn't live and his attraction to natural redhead as well as Jewish girls, she has spent her superhuman career trying to establish herself as separate from him. A journey that took her from taking on the corporation that created her, a stint in SHIELD as a field agent, fighting alongside an army of other Spiders to prevent their extinction, and forming a new team in the aftermath of Cap America's death: The Young Ultimates.

I'd prefer comic book style or real pictures rather than anime for face claims.

Can do that. I have a couple real life pictures of girls with crazy coloured hair that I might use.

  • Master Archer: Barton has trained himself to become a master archer specializing in the use of regular bows, longbows, compound bows, and crossbows with near-perfect accuracy. He is capable of firing multiple arrows at a single target in a few seconds, hitting multiple targets in a few quick strokes, and directly hit small targets in the greatest of distances. Barton has even been known to hit an apple in the center of it. He practices a minimum of two hours per day to keep his skills honed.

Expert Marksman: He possesses very keen eyesight, and his accuracy is virtually unerring; he was trained in his youth by Trick Shot with throwing blades, balls, bolas, and boomerangs. He now has near-perfect precision with any aimed or thrown weapon. He can hurl objects with extreme speed and accuracy, both in direct aim and complicated rebounds/interactions.

Expert Acrobat: Barton possesses exceptional human strength, endurance, and stamina. He is athletic, with very good reflexes and agility. This, combined with training as an aerialist and acrobat, makes him capable of numerous complex acrobatic maneuvers.

Expert Martial Artist: Barton is an excellent martial artist, having been trained in various forms by Captain America, who was arguably the world's greatest hand-to-hand combatant. On his first mission with Luke Cage's band of renegade New Avengers, Ronin proved to have come a long way from his old days of rarely ever using his martial arts skills. Throughout the battle against Elektra and The Hand, he demonstrated great skill in his overall martial ability, holding his own against nearly endless hordes of ninjas. This earned him a very respecting compliment from his teammate Iron Fist, one of the world's top martial artists.

Skilled Tactician: As shown in his leadership of the West Coast Avengers and the Thunderbolts, Barton is a highly competent strategist, tactician, and field commander.

Weapons Proficiency: Although he is not known to use melee weapons, Barton's incredible reflexes and hand-eye coordination allow him to easily master most weapons. He also received training in swordsmanship during his youth from the original Swordsman, who was considered one of the greatest experts in sword-fighting the world has ever known. Barton is skilled with swords, knives, nunchukus, staffs and is one of the few people to be able to properly handle Captain America's shield.

Trilingual: Not only is Hawkeye fluent in English, his mother tongue, but also in Italian and in American sign language.

Name:
Chel Ryder

Superhero alias:
Velocia (pronounced Vel-o-chi-a)

Costume:
For her costume, she forms a black undersuit consisting of figure-hugging black shorts, and a black short-sleeved crop-top that shows of her stomach. On top of this, armour resembling that of the car she is currently able to transform into, consisting of torso armour that wraps around her chest and upper-back; shoulder pads; gauntlets; armour around her thighs, and boots with armour up to her knees (think more sci-fi-esque (to be more specific, Halo SPARTAN armour), rather than medieval style). She also has a helmet that never changes, no matter what alt.mode she has. This only consists of armour covering the side of her head and ears which is formed behind her hair, and has spiked "ears" (like Optimus Prime) which stick up out of her hair.

Personality:
Chel is somehwat of a reserved person, not really wanting to show a lot of emotion at most times. She's hard-working and kind, not one to shy away from showing people some unconditional love and appreciation when they're feeling down.

She is relentless in battle, not stopping until her opponent has been put down and she is sure they are not going to get back up. This usually means her allies would have to hold her back and prevent her from going to far.

To break her low emotion exterior, it would need to take the right person. This person would need to be a girl, though, and it may take a little bit of time as Chel isn't really one for accpeting romatic relationships with anyone.

Powers:

Vehicle Transformation
Chel has the ability to alter her body into any land-based vehicle, excluding trains. She achieves this by forming her body into cybernetic tendrils of metal and electronics that reform into the vehicle she is currently able to transform into. This does come with its drawbacks as she is only able to transform into one vehicle at any time, and to change the vehicle, she has to scan it, which takes a few seconds to transfer the data of the vehicle to her before she is able to transform into it. During this scanning process, she is unable to attack unless she breaks concentration, which would mean she'd have to restart the scan as the scanning process is not "saved".

Superhuman strength
With this, Chel is able to lift objects that are much heavier than what regular humans can lift (such as a car), and throw it a fairly long distance with relative ease. She is also able to throw punches much stronger than that of a regular human, allowing her to go up against very strong opponents and hold her own with relative ease.

Superhuman speed
Chel is able to run a lot faster than what a regular human can achieve, her top speed being that of about a car on a British motorway (70-80 mph).

Superhuman reflexes
Her reflexes are advanced well beyond that of a normal human's. This means she can easily dodge gunfire from as little as 10 feet away, along with most melee attacks. Though, naturally, anyone that is able to put out fast attacks will not be able to be dodged.

Robotic advantage
In a sense, Chel is not made up of regular flesh and bone, rather those cybernetic tendrils that have been moulded to resemble flesh and bone. This means she is somewhat immune to the cannibalism virus, thus her allies can be sure that she won't turn on them and start eating anyone.

Skills:
Chel has a natural talent when it comes to manuvering vehicles. She is able to perfrom advanced manuvers with extreme ease.

Bio:
Chel was manufactured by SHIELD to be an infiltrating agent, her transformation powers allowing her to become an enemy vehicle and easily inflitrate their base. She went on several missions, each proving to be a success, but her luck ran out as her last mission saw her get captured by the enemy after discovering the number plate she had in her vehicle mode was not listed in any of their vehicle records. This meant that SHIELD had to send out agents to recover her. However, they were unsuccessful as she was pulled from her world and into this one, just before tghey were able to free her.

  • Thank You
Reactions: C.T.
How many people were thinking of having before we start?

I'd like to have 7-9 but if we get more, that'd be awesome.

Cool.

So, I guess Chel is accepted, then?

Awesome. >w<

It kind of made sense to have Chel be somehwat robotic, and thus have immunity to the virus.

Wanda Wilson

Superhero alias

Lady Deadpool

Personality

Well, she's certainly got one. One that is very similar to that of her Earth-616 equivalent's, at that. In short, humorous, mouthy, flirtatious, annoying, and exceedingly good at making people uncomfortable.

Powers
  • Foreign Chemical Resistance: Lady Deadpool's body is highly resistant to most drugs and toxins. For example, it is extremely difficult, though not impossible, for her to become intoxicated. She can, however, be affected by certain drugs, such as tranquilizers, if she is exposed to a massive enough dosage.
  • Disease Immunity: The unique regenerative qualities of Lady Deadpool's healing factor also extends to her Immune System, rendering her immune to the effects of all known diseases and infections.

Name: Mary Jane Watson.

Superhero alias: Red Sonja

Personality: A hundred shades of pissed off.

Powers:
  • Spiritual Possession: She shares her body with the spirit of the ancient legend known as Sonja: The She-Devil of Hyrkanian. In this condition, she has the skills and experience of the Barbarian Warrior. When invoking the spirit of Sonja, she also gains a moderate boost to her pain threshold, stamina and strength that pushes her body to a higher weight class of street level, though she retains the wounds sustained from it and when finished, suffers from them like any other human.

Skills:
  • CQC Training: Has moderate experience in hand-to-hand combat, as she has had many trainers - one of whom is Captain America. She has been able to fend off attackers of normal strength and skill, including the Chameleon using a baseball bat, and an obsessive stalker using a cue stick.
  • Mary Jane Watson is an accomplished professional actress, dancer, and model.

Bio: Mary-Jane Watson hails from the world of Earth-65, and was among those who had believed that Spider-Gwen was responsible for the death of Parker. Originally seeking revenge, she claimed a certain sword from a Museum and allowed its spirit to enter her, to take revenge that she could not. Though when finding out who Spider-Gwen was, she became horrified and was defeated through talking, Sonja herself making an observation before leaving. Overtime, she began to return to the sword and its spirit, which she kept hidden. Talking to Sonja regarding life and duty, before it culminated in her using the skills of the Barbarian in a fight against street punks, though out of respect for her host, Sonja used the flat of the blade. This later became a thing when she roomed with Gwen, the She-Devil and the Spider covering for each other whenever they went out to keep the streets safe.
With the sword in a guitar case, she looks every inch a regular New Yorker until injustice is seen and the sword is retrieved from it, as Red Sonja walks the earth once more....

I do have a small question. That being, from the whole multiverse thing. Is that exclusive to just the Marvel-verse? Or are we allowed to pick other people from other universes/series?

@C.T.

Alright.

Superhero alias: Daredevil [Earth X]

Personality: Sarcastic, witty and possibly even insane. Daredevil has many traits. But, his most dominant one is his utter desire to die. Even envying those who do pass away, and taking on downright suicidal tasks in hopes that he will meet his end.

Powers: After being exposed to the Terrigen mist, Daredevil was cursed with the inability to die, not matter how serious the injury. His body's ability to regenerate lost and damaged tissue is almost instantaneous to the point where even the most severe of injuries is healed in mere moments.

Skills: Due to years of being in the circus, Daredevil has become extremely skilled in: Acrobatics, Knife Throwing, Driving, and a decent hand to hand combatant. As despite using weapons in the performance. He seldom their usage in combat. Unless it is truly necessary.

Bio: The past of this individual is unknown. He is certainly not Matt Murdock, the original Daredevil. But, several people have made guesses as to the true identity of this current Daredevil. The guesses included: Wade Wilson, a Skrull, Curt Connors, among several others. But, soon after getting his "power", Daredevil joined up with a Circus, performing death defying stunts and often messy spectacles, which got him some national acclaim. However, during a stunt, the show was interrupted by Iron Maiden, one of Skull's mind controlled slaves.

Soon after having most of his audience scared away along with most of his circus co-workers. He met Captain America. And after giving him a pep talk, and asking to be his sidekick. When asked why would he join up with a man whose sidekick track record was extremely poor in terms of every one dying. Daredevil replied with. "That is exactly why."
