In the midst of the fog stood daylight. The equal amount of light and day has now passed and the powers of night gather. Looming through the deteriorating chlorophyll entrapped life stood a spore and a lichen. Sentience achieved through eons of living off inorganic compounds and waste from glucose. Through nothingness life seemed to continue. To coexist was to have sacrifice for their host in their time of need.

Through fire an unforeseen tribulation began and ash shrouded the sky. The life that had once existed off a glimmering beacon had been delivered a choking death. There was no peace save for the forces of nature that keep the earth spinning. What dwelt beneath the piling decay was an indescribable filth.

Flourishing now without their companion the darkness offered solitude. The organism began to perfect its' form into varying species. When the wind and moon had finally distilled the air the atmosphere grew arid and harsh. The sun had returned yet the land was not the once warm soil it had once been. The moving one's no longer feared the darkness but instead returned to what warmth of it was left.

The still one's that fear the dark, would began to emerge from the now acidic dirt and sulfurous crevices in the mountain passes. Eventually the warmth would bring an end to the darkness through deluge and flooding.

An old companion however returned to the organism through a cave spring;
From the bottom of the great darkness.

The moving one's had returned from the darkness some to feast on the ones that fear the dark others.. each other.

They both felt longing toward the ones that fear the dark. The light had been an omen of justice and equality according to the organism. Without the light the still ones were able to survive in suspended animation according to the companion.

To the old companion this ability appeared as immortality though both possessed this ability in direct relation to each other. The companion wished to serve as a guardian of the light seekers despite seeking the cold depths of earth to find warmth.

Fate had been made. Deluded and unable to find the light; intervention wouldn't occur again. The organism choose to bring self awareness to the one's that fear the dark to protect them.

The moving one's had fled and left only waste and decay. The one's that fear the dark would not take rise again till the mess was gone. Every revolution the companion offers a false security in times the darkness gathers. The organism taught the one's who fear the dark to warp and contort their shape in order to seek the light. They seek lofty places of light where they will not need to experience a temporary death.

A war began between the companion and organism; The companion sought the one's that fear the dark and taught them to bear glucose in their offspring. The moving one's would help spread his chosen kin and decimate others through countless hordes. The companion would use the power of darkness to its' advantage.

The organism had dealt with the spoils of war before it began; the amount of toxicity it contained was in surplus. The only counter agent it possessed; therefore it was deployed immediately to the self aware foliage which was able to forcibly inoculate the moving ones. Some of the moving one's took to the vegetation in spite of the countless hoards that fester in the organism. These two feared the light and so the organism made them self aware so that they bound themselves as the old companion had to entrap the countless moving ones.

The angels created and the fallen demons of the companion were now being used against both sides by the moving kind. Sending the organisms through hell by creating ash and my companions to be invoked and spat back into the bowels of the earth. No sides were taken. The impartial but terrifying lizards would eventually die off. Death is necessary for new life which is why the organism was implicit with their rival companion.

The realms of the still one's flourished. Until finally what was left of the moving ones took to the skies. The ancient flame would eventually be returned. The ancient war of the past no longer seeming significant. Only wind may change the course of time.
