Appearance: Iris is an awkward little duckling from her "thrown together" sense of fashion to her womping height of 5'10". Her skin doesn't see unusual amounts of sun but it isn't so deprived that it'd be called pale either; it's an awkward in-between shade, and while she's often described a "red head", her curly hair is really more of a shade of carrot that grows lighter towards the tips. It's not so long it's unmanageable, but it definitely falls passed her shoulders, contrasted by dark, murky eyes.
Personality: She has a habit of stuttering and occasionally repeating herself when being addressed, having to address someone, or simply caught up in casual conversation. Most people mistaken this for being shy but interaction simply doesn't come easy to her. Signals get mixed up when it comes to translating thoughts to words, mostly because it's just easier to translate them into a "taste". Having Synesthesia means interpreting the world in a different way, often having senses "blend" to create new senses altogether. It develops differently for everyone and for Iris it's "tasting" sound and, regarding her power, "tasting" pain. As a result she has developed a cautious personality when it comes to her own personal well being. On the other hand, she doesn't mind "stealing" other's pain if it meant making them feel better.

Power: A pain receptor is a type of nerve cell that is primarily responsible for receiving and then transmitting stimulation signals from various nerve endings to the brain, which will typically interpret then as pain. Receptors work by releasing chemicals called "neurotransmitters" that course through the nerves, spinal column, and brain at very high speeds. The entire process of pain transmission is called
nociception, and the painreceptors found in most bodily tissues are called
nociceptors. Receptors are present in most parts of the body and respond to a wide range of stimuli. Cruciakinesis – Ability to manipulate pain, or more technically, the ability to take, block, and strengthen
neurotransmitters and having control over nociception.
Skill: Iris can not only choose whether or not she feels pain, but unwillingly "tastes" the pain of others through her Synesthesia and can transfer that pain to herself, but these two abilities cannot stack (meaning she can't control whether or not she feels the pain that she transferred to herself, she just feels it by default). She can also create "ghost pain" within another subject to various degrees.
Survival Skills: Being able to taste sound can have some benefits as she can tell when someone is lying or being dishonest to a certain degree, can "taste" the sound of water and tell if it's good to drink, and through the same means, tell if berries and mushrooms are edible as long as they make a sound in some form. She's cautious and not quick to take risks. She could use her power over pain to cripple game and enemies, but will be reluctant to do so if the situation isn't dire.
Darwin Award Points: If has nothing to do with tasting sound, creating sound, or if pain isn't apart of the equation, she's practically useless.
Reason to Escape: So much pain and suffering, and too much want to contribute to that pain and suffering. The staff is nice, their voices taste of plain oatmeal: no affection for mere objects.The facilities themselves ring dry. The other subjects? Copper. Too much copper. They want to see the full potential of her powers. She wants nothing to do with the suffering of others.
