Gerald walker

Appearance: stands to be 5'8, with a lithe figure and straight posture. He has two different color eyes, one red the other blue. with ashen grey hair.

Age: 18 (looks as if to be 15)

Gender: Male

Class: Psychic
1305427767825968289fancy-divider-md.png
Spells:

Moldable spirit: Gerald can call upon his spirit to create a form of light energy. The light energy used with his telekinetic abilities, allows for the young lad to do what he wishes with the light energy. From creating projectile spears, to blasting his enemies away with a devastating stream of light energy. This was the first spell Gerald learned how to tame, and its why he calls it his signature move. Casting spears and launching them is nothing, but casting the beams can cause some serious physical strain on Gerald, and he rarely finds himself doing it.

Enhancement: Gerald is usually twice as strong as the average male, with abnormal speed and agility, making him quite the foe, but allows him to use his swords with ease. This is a passive skill.

Telekinesis: the ability speaks for itself, so far he can lift objects half his own strength, and can knock back foes with a push. If enraged enough he can increase the strength of the telekinesis.

Telekinetic shield: The ashen haired teen uses kinetic energy to create a shield that is able to reflect almost all attacks, both magical and physical. The longer he holds it, the more strain it puts on his mind and body.

Telekinetic blast: Blasting kinetic energy from his hands, the blast is able to easily break bones or disarm enemies. If used rapidly, Gerald can find himself become almost dizzy.

teleportation: Gerald can teleport short distances (15 yards) if any more he begins to have headaches, bloody noses, and if used rapidly, he can pass out.

Deeply possessed: This is something Gerald finds as his most prized ability, Through a spiritual connection, Gerald can allow a dark spirit posses his physical form, once it happens, Gerald tries his best to control it, and if done properly, can be devastating. Gerald starts to physically change, his body gets enveloped in a dark aura, during this he is vulnerable, and can be killed if not in a safe area, or guarded while the process happens. Once done, Gerald is now a tall humanoid creature, with long finger tips as sharp as blades, skin as hard as steel, and glowing blue eyes with no mouth. In this form he is now four times as strong as the average male, with supernatural speed and reflexes, he is deadly. Not to mention the fact that he can traverse the area as a shadow, creeping along the ground, walls, even ceiling, before reaching out and strangling his enemy. Now the downfall besides the time it takes for him to change, is during his time in this form, he is constantly holding back the spirit from fully taking control, he becomes mute, and now very primal. The ability can last as long as his willpower can hold the spirit back, and once over he returns to his normal form extremely pale and fatigued, and in most cases he passes out almost immediately. If the spirit does take control, it will kill anything in sight, even friends and family, the only way to bring him back, is to render the creature unconscious, once done, he will revert back to Gerald's physical form. This is the reason why one of his eyes is permanently colored red, because after the first time he was possessed the spirit left its mark, that being his eye.

Personality: Gerald is more of a laid back character, he's normally nonchalant during combat, and won't act out unless provoked. He comes off as a lazy individual unless in combat where he truly shines. He likes to make humor about anything, no matter what situation he's in. His last breath will be some kind of bad pun. He expresses his anger through sarcasm and speaks the truth if needed be, even if it's not what people want to hear. He normally looks out for his comrades, even though he seems like he doesn't have a care in the world. It takes a lot for him to get angry, but if pushed to that point, he becomes a relentless human being with no morals.

Strengths: The ashen haired teen has a soft spot for kids, due to this he eventually wants to become a teacher of the magical arts, and the art of swords play.
He is physically strong and filled with determination and willpower, which helps him in combat.
He likes to use the environment to his advantage, and is almost always aware of his surroundings

Weaknesses: Gerald normally tires himself out, as he doesn't know how to quite balance his use of the spells, and constantly practices on increasing his endurance in magic.
Gerald will sometimes allows his emotions get the better of him, and might be seen making irrational decisions if reminded of his tragic past.
Has a sneaking suspicion that is mother isn't dead, but rather not in the physical world, as there was no trace in her death, If there is a chance, he will find her, no matter the consequences.

Back story: Gerald was born as a single child of a mother who was a wizard, and his father was a skilled swordsman. He was homeschooled, and learned how to control his magical abilities from his mom, and learned how to use a sword from his father. Things where pretty much the same up until the age of 15 where his mother tried using a new form of magic and ended up destroying the very home they lived in, killing herself and leaving no trace of the body, as well as leaving both Gerald and his father homeless, not to mention crippling his father leaving him unable to walk.. Soon after Gerald had to learn how to steal in order to keep his father and himself fed. Life was hard until the age of 17 where he was taken in by an old friend of his fathers, soon after his father died of dysentery because of all the spoiled food they had to eat when they were homeless. Soon after Gerald ran away, and ended up taking the job as a mercenary, gaining what he could to survive in the cold world.

APPEARANCE:
5'8, lithe/curvaceous build, large breasts, red eyes, long (just past shoulder blades) straight black hair, parted in the front to frame her face on both sides, small mole just under left eye, fair skin, wears tight fitting violet robes with long wide sleeves and that shows off a good deal of cleavage. Wears sandals for footwear.
NAME:
Hildegarde Lockwood
AGE:
29
GENDER:
Female
CLASS:
Witch (allied with a spider demon
SPELLS:
Hildegarde utilizes Summoning, Transmutation, and Communication magic.

Spider Summoning- Her most used and most useful magic, she can summon all manner of spiders both magical and not, summoning normal spiders takes little effort though given their size to make any notable use of them in battle she'd need to summon swarms of them which is quite a bit more costly. Various spider demons and spirits vary greatly in size and ability and take quite a large amount of effort to summon, but when used properly can devastate an enemy (keep in mind spiders generally prefer trapping/ambushing).

Spider control- like her demonic partner Hildegarde can exert her will on spiders. Any normal spider can be controlled with ease though supernatural ones take some concentration and effort to maintain. The level of control is limited to creatures with lesser power than Hildegarde's partner, in other words any spider spirit of greater power simply cannot be controlled by them.

Transformation- Hildegarde can alter parts of her body to take on her partner Henakumo's traits, including growing an exoskeleton, venomous fangs and claws, spitting webbing, and extra eyes (up to 8 total). The furthest extent her transformation can go to is a human/spider hybrid form, where her lower body is entirely transformed into the body of a giant spider and her upper body takes on all the traits of Henakumo's matching form (exoskeleton covering all but the head and upper torso, 8 eyes, fangs, claws) though Hildegarde absolutely despises taking this form as she considers it an enormous insult to her beauty to take on so many "disgusting" spider traits at once.

Venom- Hildegarde has two distinct types of venom, which though she can adjust the potency of to a limited degree she cannot alter what they do. The venom she has in the fangs she can grow is a cytotoxin, meaning it will attack any living cells around it regardless of what they are. It is at full potency almost definitely lethal however unless injected into the bloodstream at worst it will leave a light stinging burn on the skin. In the claws she can grow, Hildegarde has a myotoxin, a venom that will attack the muscles. At lower potency it is effective at weakening muscle and higher potency can cause permanent but rarely lethal damage. This venom is useful for afflicting a sort of pseudo paralysis by weakening the muscle to the point the afflicted is easily restrained or just plain unable to move themselves. However this venom is also harmless unless it enters the bloodstream.

Web- Hildegarde can spit spider silk, the adhesiveness of which she can freely manipulate allowing her to create usable silk or sticky webs. Unless she takes her full hybrid form (in which she possesses spinnerets on her arachnid abdomen) the only method of creating silk is through her mouth.

BACKGROUND:
Hildegarde was raised by her mother, a cleric. Her mother constantly preached at her every time Hildegarde did something she didn't like and more than once practically attempted to force her daughter to follow her ways. However every time her mother pressed her she was only pushed further away, until in her late teens Hildegarde finally had enough. She learned of a demon that had taken residence nearby, her mother intended to get rid of it but before she could Hildegarde found it and formed a pact with it. Now officially a witch, Hildegarde murdered her mother in cold blood to free herself. Finally able to do as she likes, Hildegarde left her home and made a new one far away, and spent her time developing her newfound magic to ensure she will always have the freedom to do as she pleases.

PERSONALITY:
There are two primary traits that define Hildegarde's personality, first, she is extremely independent and dislikes anyone attempting to tell her what to do. She desires to live her life as she pleases and immediately hates those who attempt to control her. Second, she is incredibly vain. She considers herself to be beyond beautiful and will go from perfectly calm to enraged if anyone so much as suggests she isn't beautiful and will even become violent if anyone dares directly insults her looks. Otherwise, she is very selfish, if there isn't something to gain for her in doing something, then she simply won't do it. She won't take risk even if someone's life is in danger unless she sees a benefit for her, the closest she has ever come to being selfless was saving a group of hunters from an angry spirit they came across purely to test the power of her magic. Last, she enjoys flirting/teasing others, and will constantly find ways to do so to almost anyone (as long as they aren't too ugly) just to mess with them. It should be noted she isn't malicious in the least, despite her self absorbed nature she is very open minded, and (ironically) believes others shouldn't care how others act or think and should just be happy with themselves.

WEAKNESS:
Endurance- Because she gains her magic from her partner by offering energy directly from her soul, she cannot continue using her magic for extended periods. Overexerting herself puts her soul and by extension her life at serious risk.
Physical strength- While she has some skill in self defense and strong agility Hildegarde is simply not very strong physically, even by giving herself supernatural spider strength she's not much above average human limits.

MISC:
Caffeine- Due to her pact with Henkakumo, Hildegarde's body changed in one odd way she cannot undo. Like spiders, Hildegarde gets drunk if she drinks caffeine.
Name- She considers EVERY part of herself beautiful, including her name, and hates when anyone shortens it (usually to "Hilda").
Weaving- Hildegarde is a very skilled weaver, her clothes are even made from her own spider silk.

SPIRIT:
NAME:
447
AGE:
857
GENDER:
Female
ABILITIES:
Henkakumo's magic revolves around summoning, manipulating, and being a spider. The (mostly) human form she usually takes is not her real self and is merely a guise she takes to hide her true power as she finds doing so makes others less willing to bother her. Aside from the fact her transformation is reversed (her true form being a demonic spider which can change into a human) from Hildegarde's version her magic is the same. Hildegarde draws her magic directly from Henkakumo by giving energy directly from her soul as payment. Hildegarde generally uses a lower level version of Henkakumo's magic however, as overusing her partner's magic is a potentially fatal risk. On the other hand, despite the risk Hildegarde has enough experience that she can if needed use magic near equal to Henkakumo's power (though she cannot maintain its use for very long) because the energy of the soul, essentially of life itself, is among the strongest there is.

BACKGROUND:
Henkakumo began life as a normal spider, but as she aged she gradually developed magic potential, but it wasn't until she was a few centuries old that it manifested. Her power spontaneously came to the surface when she transformed into human/spider hybrid form to defend her web from bug hating human. Despite her newfound power she merely wished to live a simpler life, and kept to forests to make her webs. Given her new size however she needed larger prey, and after a few years she developed something of a reputation, because although she didn't seek them out she had no qualms about devouring humans foolish enough to wander into her web. After several more centuries her power had grown further as had her reputation, until a certain cleric sought to drive her away or kill her. Then Henkakumo met the cleric's daughter, and made a pact, in exchange for her soul she would give the daughter access to her magic.

Though their mutual desire to live as they please allowed them to get along well enough for their contract, their beauty standards however did not, and because of this Henkakumo decided to leave the mortal world and give the spirit world a try, where she still resides now, still linked to her human partner through their contract.

PERSONALITY:
Like Hildegarde, Henkakumo desires more than anything to live as she desires without others interfering. She is also incredibly vain however her vanity is the reverse of her partner's. Whereas Hildegarde sees her spider transformations as ugly and her true human self as the epitome of beauty, Henkakumo sees her human form as rather hideous while her true monstrous spider form is in her (many) eyes gorgeous. She generally dismisses humans as odd backwards creatures who are too reliant on their tools and such. The sole reason she formed her pact with Hildegarde is because of the warning about her mother coming and their mutual desire for freedom. In truth she doesn't even really care much for the soul energy she gets from her partner as she doesn't actually care much for increasing her magic power. The main reason of this method of pact is Hildegarde herself, as it was what she proposed from what she had learned in a stolen tome. Henkakumo however despite her largely peaceful nature, most definitely has a sadistic side. Like her partner if her "beauty" is insulted, she will become violently angry, but unlike her partner she does not stop until the offender suffers to her satisfaction, and to her a quick death is far too kind for such an offense.

MISC:
Same as Hildegarde's
It was Henkakumo who taught Hildegarde to weave

Frederick Alluni

Appearance:
Doctor Wizard.jpg
His face has soft features, with particularly pale skin, and light-red marks where his mask sits against it for so long. His hair is longish and a shade of light brown, appearing dirty blond in bright light. Apposed to these features, his eyes are sharp and analytical, a shade of dull blue looking almost grey. He is 5.4 feet and weighs about 120 pounds. He constantly smells like a burning flower, and his equipment clinks as he walks.

Name: Frederick Alluni
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Class: Sorcerer
Spells: First and foremost, he is an aspiring alchemist.
-Firebomb: A chemical mix that explodes when lit, essentially a Molotov, but more potent.
-Acidic Cloud: A noxious gas used to cause pain in the lungs and eyes.
-Alkehest: An acid so potent, it has to be kept in an enchanted bottle.
-Blessed Grenade: A pressurized bottle of Holy Water will explode into a fine mist if pressurized enough. Not thick enough to kill a demonic creature, but may be able to drive it away.
-Healing Elixir: Can quickly cure wounds if applied to the cut, or can null pain and cure some diseases if consumed.
-Energy Drink: If someone is out of breath or generally tired, this potion can get them back on their feet.
-Drug-Gas: Originally used as a pain-killing inhalant he proudly peddled, when one breathes in too much, it can cause one to become sluggish, lose focus, or even be knocked out.
-The non-alchemical spells he has acquired are enchantments, his gas mask is exponentially more effective and his bottles can hold very strong acids, or very pressurized chemicals. He has also learned some casting, and can use a small fire, lightning, and ice attack, which he has used very much over his career in order to hasten chemical reactions. He also has communication, in order to slip thoughts into peoples minds that they may have ailments that Doctor Frederick can cure, as well as using an illusion spell on himself to hide the results of injuries he has sustained. Mostly chemical burns. Though almost any Mage can tell it's an illusion, and would merely have to look at him with the intent of not being fooled by it.

Personality: Generally, he appears as a kindhearted, if eccentric, individual whose sole purpose is medicine. He generally peppers his speech with formalities and pleasantries which he has picked up from being at the mercy of those who buy from him for quite a few years. His less refined country side is more likely to be used in times of stress, or just when he feels he needs to hammer a point in. He has only scratched the surface of his magical potential, and knows it... and with this quest allowing for the freedom to practice any magic within reason... his fascination grows. As it stands, he likes anything that makes a loud noise and a big flash. In battle, he would prefer trickery as opposed to direct standoff.

Back story: As a young boy in the countryside, his village had been hit very badly by the plague until a group of alchemists used their potions and cures to save those that they could, and separate the healthy from the ill. He lost two brothers to the pestilence. Since then, he swore vengeance against the disease, dedicating his life to finding a way to eradicate it, no matter the cost. However, if he were to make a cure for it, he would have to tap into a level of Alchemy only available to mages. Since then, he has led the uneasy life as a travelling medicine-peddler, but has since turned to other forms of magic to make it easier on himself. He has been on the brink of discovery and possible execution for the practice of illegal magic. But when he discovered he had the chance to step out of the shadows and earn his right to practice. He was in the city during the attack, and quickly rounded up about twenty people in his shop before bombarding the outside with dangerous chemicals to keep the Orcs away. That's about when he was discovered and sent to rescue the Court Mage. He welcomed the task, and is eager to begin searching for a cure without fear of the guards.

Misc: He has a collection of tools and knives that can be used as crude weapons if he's desperate.

Ulric Wolfhunter

Appearance:
Ulric.jpg
Name: Ulric Wolfhunter
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Class: Cleric
Spells:
-Smite: A blast of Holy light burns any malicious spirit that it hits, killing weaker ones and injuring stronger ones.
-Heal: A golden Aura takes surrounds any individual that is targeted, healing their wounds and restoring their strength.
-Sense: He can feel when dark spirits and monsters are near more easily than other mages.
-Ward: He can block magical attacks.
-Denial: With this ability, he can prevent magic being used in a small area.
-Zeal: His strength, speed, and tenacity increase greatly.
-Golden Flame: Acts as regular fire with a bonus to dark spirits, usually fired as a cone, but can fire it in a straight line if he needs to be accurate.
-Illuminate: A glowing orb rises above, following him and lighting his way like a torch.
-Bless: A weapon or catalyst is encased in a golden light, and gains a great advantage over dark spirits.
Fear, doubt, and dishonorable actions will cause his powers to waver and fade, as well as overusing them.

Personality: He is a grim and serious individual, brought forth from his time as a Witch-Hunter as well as upholding the law. He has no love for the other practitioners of magic, though understands that some do not have a choice in the matter, and others may have noble purposes. He does have a love of danger and slaying monsters as well as a strong loyalty to the Emperor, and begrudgingly accepts his decree that it would be all kinds of Mages rescuing the Court Mage.

Back story: When he was 14, a dark spirit met him in the woods on the path to a friend's house, and refused to leave him be. After a series of unsuccessful attempts to convince him to become a warlock, it's patience was used up, and it settled for merely attacking him, it certainly was going to take it's time mauling him like a wild animal, when a member of the Witch-Hunters appeared, and with a few silver bolts from a repeating crossbow, the creature had been slain. It was there that he had received the news of his destroyed village... destroyed by a rogue Warlock when the spirit turned on him. And so he was given a new offer, to join the Witch-Hunters, and purge evils like that from the land. It was at the age of 17, when he had slain a dire wolf with a hatchet, that he earned a new name: Wolf-Hunter. The rest of his time in the Witch-Hunters was a blur of peril, terrifying monsters and powerful mages, and so he was hardened into a powerful warrior. Soon, at the age of 25, he left the Witch-Hunters on good terms, seeking life as a Cleric and Capital Guard. His proficiency in combat eventually landed him Captain of the Royal Guard. He is the one who is leading this quest for a number of reasons. Personal vendettas and holy duties aside, the Emperor said he's most qualified.

Misc: He can cast spells with his hammer because it's hilt is a re-purposed staff.

but than means no discourse and arguments between spirits of the same mage!
I suppose if one of the mage's main tactics is summoning, I can allow it.

I suppose if one of the mage's main tactics is summoning, I can allow it.
Well, Nathanial is a summoner-caster who relies on his summons to provide him cover and defence while casting his (mostly) offensive spells.

Edited the Cast List in right beneath the template for a character sheet.
@EddiEddi Could I get a name for the Demon, so I have something proper to call it in the Cast List?

Sure,
Byleth sound demonic enough?

Any idea when the IC will be up?

IC will be up sometime tomorrow, some people from the interest check have yet to post a character, and I'm gonna give them a chance.

Why not put the IC up now and say 'only intro posts'

Eh give him some time, we're not in a rush here ^_^

Is this still accepting or are only int check peeps allowed to pop in?

Sweet I'll work on a cs now so!
Is there a minimum age because I was considering playing a female child with massive potential power but obviously limited actual power since she is too young to be fully aware and sufficiently experienced. (Roughly 9-12 years age range but I could make an utterly different character if that's not okay, I have other ideas)
