PLOTS/IDEAS​

the sea

A pirate captain, your character, is secretly marked by the Hand of Fate (could be similar to the Black Spot in Pirates of the Caribbean, or a more positive spin that allows him visions of what he needs to do next). He's hired by a wealthy aristocrat to escort his arranged soon-to-be wife, my character, to his home by way of sea. Before the lady and pirates can make it, however, they wind up shipwrecked on a different land entirely. The sea carries the lady to the shores near a castle where a powerful underground/criminal leader, your character, finds her and brings her in, while the pirate captain is cast to a more desolate location where he discovers the Oracle, my character, someone he believes is important to his quest.

These can be two separate stories. If you'd like to keep them together, we'd have to brainstorm a meaningful way to bring them back together, unless that's not important.

the sky

Influenced by the Chinese show, Eternal Love:

Basically, there are deities above the clouds/in the heavens and humans on Earth. A female deity is struck down to earth with amnesia as a trial for her ascension as the High Goddess. She makes a life for herself in the middle of nowhere as a human, maybe on the outskirts of a town, and one day finds an injured animal and takes it home to tend to its wounds. Well, it turns out that the animal is a male deity prince, sent to earth to experience life and death. He transforms into a human once he trusts her. They fall in love, but something happens and she returns to the heavens. He doesn't know where she is or what happened to her. When they meet again by chance, she has forgotten him and essentially her entire "human" life.

That's the gist of it - so much more happens but yeah lol. This can be MxF or MxM. We could do a lot with it too, like including demons and/or demon princes, a love triangle? Idk I'm open to anything.

Arabian Nights

Arabian Nights tells the tale of a king who learns that his wife has been unfaithful and kills her. Believing that all women are the same, he marries a new virgin every night only to have her executed the next morning to ensure that she won't dishonor him. His vizier quickly runs out of virgins to provide his king, and that's when his daughter volunteers.

On their first night, she tells the king a fragment of a story and leaves it at a cliffhanger. Her storytelling is so enchanting that he has no choice but to let her live another day to finish the story, and this goes on for a thousand and one nights until the king falls in love with her. Stories within stories, she laces in plenty of philosophy discussions, challenging the king's thinking.

So, this can go a few ways as well. The vizier's daughter can fall in love with the king as well as she realizes that there's good inside of him. Or it can have a darker twist. Perhaps she falls in love with one of his trusted guards/servants (I know, I'm just a sucker for that) and he catches wind of it. The world is our oyster!

captured

Could be:

• Conqueror/Warlord x Captured Citizen with a Secret || MxF or MxM; MC would most likely be caught during the initial plunder of their land and catches YC's eye in some way. As such, they're taken by YC as his newly prized possession/wife/husband. I'm still working on MC's secret; it may be that they possesses magical abilities, could be that he is actually a she or vice-versa. YC can be an irritable or a closed off man, idk. the more angst the better, right?
• Warlord's Servant/Bodyguard x Captured Citizen with a Secret || MxF or MxM. Same as above, except it involves the Warlord's most trusted Servant/Bodyguard, and I can play either character. This could be set in Feudal Japan, fantasy, etc.
• A combination of the above: There are a total of four main characters, each of us playing two. Every couple of (hundred?) years, on a certain celestial event, certain beings born during this time are gifted with stronger/supernatural/magical abilities. Two main characters, a Mystic (one of the special beings) and a Prophet/Messenger, are traveling together with the Mystic's small clan in an attempt to evade the other two main characters, a Warlord and his highest-ranking officer (another special being). Hearing word of this powerful mystic, the warlord thinks it would be a fantasticidea to have that kind of power on his side.
  • There are SO many ways this could go. I think it has more of an affinity for a darker story, but it doesn't have to be. I have some ideas in mind if you're interested in hearing more.

Could be:

• Influenced by GoT's story of Daenerys and Khal Drogo, I'd love to do something where a princess is married off for someone else's benefit (when is it not?) but unexpectedly gains the respect of and power from her new people.
• Two kingdoms at war: Summer and Winter. A man once of Winter has turned traitor and gone to Summer, and now serves as bodyguard and protector to Summer's Prince.
• A demon- preferably an incubus - is summoned accidentally by an asexual man.
