A Nice Star Wars Romp

Avar was pleased with the response, nodding to Three-Dee and rapidly formulating a list. Before his could even catch up with his train of thought he began to spout a list of what he would need:

"I need a small platoon of soldiers, a dozen or so, anyone looking to get some work done without much experience; they may have basic equipment, I need workers, not weapons. I need your chief expert on the Velmor and the Veloc, or the closest thing you have to an expert, I need to know what I might have to deal with. I need the known locations of any volcanic vents or geologic disturbances on the planet, to find where I might best find the gems. I need access to any tools we have to harvest the gems and enough droids to operate them. I need a ship small enough to hide from locals and large enough to move myself, my soldiers, and the droids. I need a room with no windows, a small bed, and enough room for what few things I brought. I wish to meet with my men by the end of a Velmorian Day, and I wish to speak with your expert as soon as they are available. I ask that someone lead me to my quarters and that my things be moved there as soon as possible. I ask for some form of communicator in case I need to make contact with you or any of the aforementioned people for any reason. And I ask for any wisdom that you can give me in this endeavor."

Cyana was only half listening to his list of demands. Three-Dee was the one processing his every word, mentally highlighting areas that would need her attention and approval. This man knew exactly what he was doing, which made her glad he was working for her. The Sith Lady only wanted to employ the best.

Three-Dee gave a chirp, confirming that all the information was organized. "Shall I make arrangements for the Master's private quarters, madam? And then I will get back to you about the experts we're hiring."

"That will be fine, Three-Dee. Send me someone to fill in for you until you're done."

"Right away, my Lady!"

Cyana watched the droid scurry away, his metallic voice calling out for someone to aid the Sith Lady. That was a routine she couldn't break; one droid and two bodyguards. "There will be a commlink left for you in your room, Captain. You'll be able to contact everyone involved with this mission. You will be able to reach me, as well." Cyana waited for any additional questions he may have.

Avar bowed and asked, "Forgive me, but I have one last thing to ask of you your ladyship...

What should I refer to you as?"

"Darth Cyana," she answered in a singsong voice, sharing her fondness for the label of 'Darth' with other Siths. Secretly, she was a fan of the simpler ones like 'ladyship' and 'my lady'. They made her feel like a queen with loyal subjects.

Right then, she remembered a question she often asked the people she worked with. It was out of place, considering how businesslike she was. Cyana craved a lot more than just knowledge, though. Art played a big role in her life, too. "Are you a singer, Captain? Instruments, perhaps?"

Avar smiled at her answering his question, only to be thrown by her own question afterwards. He thought for a brief moment before admitting,

"I sang briefly when I was younger, though these days I am more inclined to write or paint when the need for such creativity so strikes. I find most of the actual work I do which can be called creative involves my sword, something that demands finesse like my blade can be considered art by some."

Cyana was intrigued by his variety of artistic talents. She also appreciated how he considered his swordsmanship an art, which she didn't at all disagree with. Practicing with a sword was a unique form of dancing. Admittedly, she was drawn to the pain it could cause. Watching two, or even more, people battle it out was an artful experience in itself. As well, it fed her hunger for violence.

"When you're not too busy, collaborate with me." Her face was slightly visible as she tilted her head down, exposing the lower half of her face from her hood. There was a simple smile on her lips, nothing that indicated her usually malicious intent.

"You may leave now. Someone will show you to your room."

Avar chuckled and responded, "I won't be busy whenever you decide; you are the one in charge my lady."

Upon smiling he came to the realization that this was far removed from his previous dealings with the Sith:
I cannot tell if she is Sith by choice or Sith because the Jedi would not accept her for her emotions; in either case she is far removed from the regular Sith Lord. This may be the first time I have enjoyed something as trivial as an acquisition mission, albeit for a host of rather bizarre reasons.

With that he slowly exited the room, half expectation someone to escort him to his room.

Cyana saw him off until she was left alone. All she did was turn her back to the closed door, staring blankly into the shadowy environment. Like any Dark Lord, she had to take a moment to savor her progress. Everything was falling into place; she really couldn't be more pleased.

A servant droid rolled up to Avar, beeping for his attention before heading towards the guest quarters. Special arrangements were being made for the Captain's room, since he didn't want any windows and some other specifications. It didn't take too much work, though. Cyana had some available rooms no one used simply because there weren't windows.

Everything would be in place when he arrived. There were some object on a nearby table, too, including the commlink device that Cyana promised. It already had contacts stored on it, however it would need some updating when a few remaining people came onto the scene, such as a geological expert.

"My Lady has asked me t--oh, you! Get out, he doesn't need you!" Three-dee was in the doorway, pointing at the other robot until it beeped in a sassy tone and rolled off.

"Anyway... Is there anything I can do for the Master?"

Avar stepped into his room and replied to Three-Dee, keeping his back to the droid as he looked around at the already furnished room.

"Give me a report on the progress of all the requests I have made."

He quickly began deciding where he would put his various belongings as he waited for the droid to respond.

"The Velmor expert is being shuttled here as we speak. His name is Dyans Olluan. We also have somebody doing a geological survey. When they report back with the zones you need to be cautious of, you can begin your work."

Three-Dee paused for a moment, giving the Captain a moment to process what he just heard. It was all part of his programming; he was an excellent communicator. "Your belongings will be here shortly. Some droids are carrying it over.

If you would like, I can arrange a meeting that every one of your team members should attend?"

The droid awaited more orders, being eagerly helpful as usual.

Avar dismissed the droid's suggestion with a wave of his hand, keeping his back to the droid. "That won't be necessary, I will need to meet with the experts prior to meeting with my men. Additionally I will tend to moving myself in before I meet with the experts; though do tell me when this Velmor expert arrives."

He thought for a minute and then turned to the droid and with a curious smirk upon his face.

"Three-Dee, what should I know about her Ladyship Darth Cyana?"

"Of course, sir. Someone will come for you when he arrives."

Three-Dee was usually quick to respond to all questions. The one involving his mistress was one he had to actually think about. There were certain areas of her life that she didn't want exposed. Not that much of it was secretive, she just wasn't very open about her past. The events that pushed her into the life of a Sith Lady are grim ones.

"My Lady Cyana is insecure about her looks. The Dark Side usually makes a Sith look aged, however she's maintained her youth. That's not enough for her, though. She believes the scar across her face is a flaw. Her parents tried raising her to be perfect, sir."

That was information worth knowing, supposed the droid. Cyana didn't like bringing attention to her looks, including compliments. "Her heart belongs to the arts. Gifting her with a painting, a song--anything, really--would keep you on her good side. So as long as it's expert level.

You should also know that although she's brilliant and wields terrifying Force abilities, she can't tolerate pain. That is why her bodyguards go everywhere she goes. She can't protect herself without some trustworthy muscle to depend on. It's quite a crime to lay a hand on her without permission."

The droid obviously trusted in the Captain, like his Lady did. Just as well, Cyana believed she and her guards could handle situations of betrayal perfectly fine. She had no qualms about killing somebody the moment she found them.

Avar made mental notes of these things as he listened intently:

The droid is being very open about his master, albeit vague on some details. This business with the scar is something I had guessed, though the way he describes it the scar is something from her past and not caused by Sith corruption. It could explain here interest in Sith Alchemy, even if she knows little of it. This passion for art also explains her question earlier about the subject, perhaps I should pick up painting again just in case...

A low threshold for pain, that could be useful. I hope it will not come to such, but the Sith Lords can be fickle creatures.

This droid seems open about his lady, there is certainly more I can ask

He then nodded to the droid, signifying his understanding, and then ambitiously asked:

"What is Darth Cyana's need for the crystals, surely more than a single lightsaber, no?"

"That's correct, Captain. You would have to ask her for more details, though. Not even I know that much." Cyana trusted in her droid, there were just some bits of information he didn't need to know. The Sith Lady liked to have secrets, too. That was another unexplainable trait to her personality.

Avar nodded with a smirk, Well I can't have everything on day one, it would spoil the fun.

"Thank you for your assistance Three-Dee, I only request that you make sure that my things make their way to me intact; stars know how long it took to get much of it."

Before too long, Three-Dee indeed showed up. The workers he requested were waiting in a conference room for him so they could cover all introductions, needs, expenses, and plans.

"Darth Cyana will be there as well, Captain," spoke the friendly droid. The Omwati was already there, in fact, sitting at the farthest end of the table. Mostly, she was there to listen and answer questions if they were important enough. Mostly, she liked to be involved with all the progress of her tasks.

Avar cursed under his breath and thought to himself:
Well there goes any plans of privacy in this endeavor, I will have to work with this though. Not like the Sith ever give me free reign anyhow.

He forced himself to smile, reminding himself that Darth Cyana had been exceptionally cooperative in this mission, and her sitting in would only be a minor nuisance at most.

Avar turned towards the droid and nodded to it, "Thanks, I suppose we shouldn't keep her ladyship waiting."

"Indeed, sir." The droid led Avar to where he needed to go. All was silent except for the armored recruits patrolling the corridors and Three-Dee's occasional beeping.

In a private room, there was a giant table at the center with a hologram of the planet floating above the middle. The Sith Lady was sitting at the farthest end of the table, looking ominous in the way she gazed at her employees through the darkness of her hood. Standing behind her were her bodyguards with their usual emotionless faces.

Three-Dee joined his mistress at the end of the table. Avar could sit in any of the free spots. Once he was seated, they could get started. The experts were quietly preparing notes, thinking over what to say first, and making references to the display of their targeted planet. The geologist had actual rock samples set up on the table to show, too.
