The year is 2020, and Earth is on fire.

A group called the E.I. at the beginning of the year began secretly kidnapping and training people to help them take over the world. These people were regular members of society, teachers, students, criminals, if it looked like they could be swiped without any real retaliation, they were. The world was none the wiser.

Several such recruits were collected from the general population and chosen to be trained underneath the three founders of this mysterious group. A school gym teacher named Tyler Haak, a large viking looking mercenary named Otto White, a former U.S. military infantryman Maine, and Daisuke a giant pervert/former yakuza member. After three months of training under the First, Second, and Third founders, the secret facility in which they were being trained was attacked by factions within the E.I. They hit fast and hard, sending the whole facility into chaos. Leading the group of trained E.I. recruits out of the facility, the Third founder led the small group to North Korea, where the rest of the E.I. forces had gathered. In a stunning display of brute force, hundreds of E.I. VTOL troop transport gunships assaulted the capitol, took over it and the nearby military base, and then executed the dictator.

However, the group of recruits were repulsed by this actions, and Tyler, Daisuke lashed out at the Second, prompting him to kill Daisuke. Daisuke was only saved by a chance, as a passing E.I. infantryman assisted burying Daisuke, Daisuke's consciousness escaped into the man, making him a target of interest for the Second founder. The Second founder had Tyler, Adam (The E.I. infantryman), another man who was recruited by the E.I. who vaguely reminded everyone of a russian, and Alkura (the daughter of the third founder). In a display of defiance (facilitated only by the Third Founder's intervention), Otto White and Lazaro (A crazed murderer who was only assisting them for the pure off chance they might get to kill someone) led a daring rescue of the prisoners, escaping to Sryia with them on a jet.

After they landed, Otto talked them through the Airport, calling in a favor from the commanding officer of the troops stationed there. Otto took the group to his home, and coincidentally, the place he buried his family. The group rested there for a day, but unfortunately they were sold out by the very commanding officer that Otto had called a favor from. A team of E.I. troops trained to track deserters followed them, and then they attacked in the night. The battle was brief but bloody, and it was discovered the very next day, in a letter from the Third founder, that the troops were all cloned, an attempt from the E.I. to make soldiers loyal, easy to train, equip, and recruit.

The group fled in the VTOL jet provided by the Third, guided to some mysterious facility by a man they only know as "Deanta" supposedly a trusted ally and teacher of the Third founder. As they got off the VTOL jet, they were greeted by a huge cheering crowd. Thousands of people who had hidden from the E.I.'s secret influence in underground societies had gathered into a single united rebellion, and this group of rag tag E.I. rebels were their largest hope in defeating the group. As it turned out, while the E.I. had a righteous goal, the goal did not justify the means through which they planned to execute it. With much of the world under the control of the E.I. (Facilitated by the E.I. implanting trained members of the group into the governments of nations worldwide, and then using their influence to convince them to join the International Nations Union, or INU, with the newly formed nation of the E.I. at the head, and major military superpowers like Russia and the U.S. backing up the group with the full might of their military.

In a surprise move, the rebellion turned on this coalition, and moving out from facilities all over the world they attack the E.I., intent on freeing the world from this tyranny. The E.I. rebels themselves spearheaded an assault straight into the main E.I. base, an attack that was wiped out, but still managed to distract the E.I. long enough for the rebels to defeat the E.I. in other places around the world.

Feeling threatened by this, the E.I. detonated the world's supply of nuclear weapons, reducing the population from 7.4 billion to three million in minutes. Those people who survived were transported, as if by an act of some deity, to a new world. Some land in deserts, some in forests, some in plains, some alone, and some in groups, but all appear, alive and no worse then they were on Earth. Something is strange about this world though, while it looks like Earth, and the animals do as well, the air is tingling with an energy that was not prevalent in society before, and all over the world these people have begun to realize that they can now use something strange and previously impossible, magic. In the background secret forces seem to be manipulating the situation though, and somewhere the immortals that survived the nuclear blasts are still alive.

It is now up to humanity to rebuild.

Tyler

The woman watched Adam as he got upset for no reason, like usual, and Otto who was trying to put Adam in his place. The back and forth went on and on, only frustrating both of the guys more. Adam was still being selfish and unreasonable. No matter what he said he wanted to do, he probably wasn't going to change. All she could do was run a hand down her face in exasperation while the guys went on complaining at each other.

Finally, Lucien stepped in to break it up and pretty much decided the plan himself. The first part was an altered version of her original idea to set a caravan trap and then ended in possible tracking. And according to the information from the chief advisor, it was likely they wouldn't be killed in the caravan before having the supplies taken.

After Lucien and Cal finished, Tyler nodded in agreement. "I like it. So, if Otto and Adam are in the caravan, and you can Cal are on the outskirts with the troops, then where will Alkura, Christian, and I be?"

Tyler turned to Adam, putting on her usual blank face. "Also… Adam… you need to stop freaking out every time someone shoots down your ideas. My ideas were shot down too and you didn't see me getting all bitchy about it. Not going with your plan is about safety and strategy. If you get shitty every time your ideas are turned down, you won't be able to prove anything. You claim that you want to earn our trust. If you're going to do that, you have to start thinking and acting like an adult and a team player."

God, he was really starting to get on her nerves again. Not only was it getting annoying, but she was seriously starting to think that Adam was going to really put the team in danger with his immature and reckless behavior. The more he got upset, the more Tyler considered the idea of Adam no longer being with them. She hated to think that way, but if he acted out too much, he'd put the whole team at risk. "We have meetings like this to determine the best way to do things for the entire team and we each take our own rejection in stride and learn from it. If you want to mope about not getting to do what you want, go back to the inn, sit in a corner, and consider each idea that was rejected and why. This isn't a game, and it's not a test of courage."

Adam was busy thinking about how to out do Alkura when Tyler started barking at him again. he listened to her ramble on and on about him apparently whining about having his ideas shot down. She then said she didn't whine when it happened to her, he muttered "you kinda did." She continued to talk about being a team player and all and he stood there taking her verbal abuse, all the while he was thinking that this was probably the reason she was single. Adam nodded and swallowed his pride, "you're right Tyler. My bad." he said not entirely into the apology but knew it was the only way to shut her up.

"i'll do my best to work with the team." He got off the wall and joined the circle as the others started talking about the plan. He stood there ignoring Tyler's gaze and concentrated on the plan. he took extra time to remember the exits of the area as well as places he could use as a hiding place or cover. Apparently the plan was that he and Otto would pose as a caravan, get hit and that's when Cal, Lucien and the army will surround them. Sounded good but messy, Adam thought his idea was still better.

Lucien

Lucien sighed at Tyler's questions. "As much as I have reservations about it, the three of you will help sell the bait." He sighed and rubbed the top of his head, running his finger through his hair whilst leaning forward on his other hand. "You and Alkura will pose as a small but wealthy female merchant and her daughter, and Christian will pose as a caravan guard. Not someone that will scare the bandits off, but someone that will make them more curious about the shipment." He looked around at group. "Anymore questions?"

Alkura

Alkura felt the hair on her neck rise on end quite suddenly, and she had the sudden impulse to shoot a glance over at Adam, and found him glaring daggers at her. She turned away quickly, wondering what exactly she had done to upset him. Perhaps he was just angry about her being back in the group? Of course, there was the matter of her trying to kill him once in the guardians base, but that had been a while ago, and she hadn't had control of herself at the time. She stayed back and contemplated the issue while the rest of the group crowded around the table.[/fieldbox]

Adam Kane

As the plan was explained Adam could feel Tyler's rage building. He could swear that she hated him, why else would she get so upset at him for wanting to do things his way. He remembered that Daisuke called her a sexy teacher before, does that mean she really hates kids? Obviously not Alkura but maybe there was a couple dozen children buried in the boiler room cuz Tyler snapped and made them "disappear."

He saw Alkura look at him then turn away. Was she rubbing it in? She can try to kill the whole team and be welcomed back with open arms but Adam makes an argument for his plan and he is an asshole. This whole team was biased but it was better than nothing. He just needed to stick with Otto. Even though he was intense Adam felt he and Daisuke were the only ones to really care about him.

Lucien laid out the plan and finally asked if anyone had any more questions. Adam looked at Tyler than decided to shut up before she roasted him alive. He shook his head and waited for the others to respond.

Tyler

She was capable, barely, of holding off on rolling her eyes at Adam until she looked away. His attitude was just such a pain in the ass. Even though he 'gave up', it was easy to tell that he was in no way sincere. She said nothing to him, put her right hand was visibly balling up at her side. I'm just gonna punch him. Would that help? Just beating the living shit out of him? This kid… was just going to be worthless, wasn't he?

Shaking her head to herself, Tyler let out a slow breath and turned her focus back to Lucien who was explaining the other part of the plan. "So… basically… my first plan with minor changes. Good to know. Except that there's no way someone would believe that I had a child at age ten so Alkura and I can be sisters. Really, how old do you think I look?" She smirked a little at Lucien. "Either way, I like the plan."

Lucien

Lucien had a little chuckle, but his look turned grim at the end of his laugh. "I think we all look to old for our actual age." With that, Lucien looked around, and then to the king, whom he nodded to. "Well then, where is the ship at?" The king was quick to answer."You'll find the ship in the courtyard, the captain of my guard will escort you there. We've prepared everything you might need, and I took the liberty of having your luggage moved onboard. The crew has orders to leave for the city as soon as you are on the ship." Like a ghost, the captain of the guard appeared next to Alkura, looking at the rest of the group, causing the girl to jump. Lucien nodded and looked to the rest of the group again. "Alright, let's go, there is no more time to waste."

With that, he turned away from the table, following the captain, who was now walking at a brisk pace towards the exit of the room, and Alkura and Cal fell into step behind him. After about five minutes of walking, the group had successfully made their way into the courtyard, where the promised airship was floating above the ground, the keel barely touching the top of the grass. A large wooden walkway up onto the ship made it a simple matter to walk up onto the deck, which Alkura, Cal, and Lucien all did.[/fieldbox]

Adam Kane

Adam watched as Lucien and Tyler had a back and forth. Tyler mentioned how Lucien's plan was basically her plan from before, Adam smirked and shook his head thinking to himself. 'Now who doesn't want to let go of their stupid ideas?' Lucien and the king hammered out the details and suddenly they were on their way to the air ship.

Adam was a little nervous at the thought of riding the air ship. He was cautious of heights and thinking about how this place seemed to be behind the times technology wise he didn't fully trust the durability of the craft. "Does it." He swallowed the lump in his throat. "Does it look safe?" He called out to Lucien and Cal as they boarded.

Adam placed one foot on the plank barely putting any pressure on it. "Is this gonna be ok? I mean they dont even know how to make underwear that doesn't itch like crazy, how can we believe they can make an air ship that won't crash?"

[fieldbox="On Their Way, red, solid"]

Alkura

Alkura walked over to Adam, who seemed to be extraordinarily whiny for whatever reason, and grabbed him by the arm, before pulling him onto the ship, preventing him from dicking around while getting onboard. She stepped back a few feet whilst dragging the boy onboard, before smiling at him. "See, the ship seems to be well built enough! Besides, I doubt the king would send us on a ship that might crash halfway through it's flight. Afterall, he needs us to deal with the bandit problem." With that Alkura looked around the ship grinning. She thought this was pretty neat, she'd been on planes before, but never a blimp or airship of really any kind. It left her to wonder how smooth this kind of flight would be.[/fieldbox]

Adam Kane

Adam was so concerned with his safety he didn't realize who was pulling him along. When he was on board he turned to thank who he though was Tyler but saw her. His nervous smile faded to a glare. He pulled his arm away and took a defensive stance. When she walked away he muttered "don't touch me." Just watching her act all care free really pissed him off, why did she get a free pass?

Adam found a corner and decided he didn't want to deal with flying on this death trap. He sat down taking a meditation pose and a few seconds later a familiar energy took over Adam's body.

Daisuke Hirragi

Daisuke stood up looking around. "Wow look at this." He said to no one as he started to inspect the air ship. He looked over the vessel and even at their propulsion system. "No way these guys know what they're doing even though they haven't figure out how to make comfortable pants." He said as he rearranged his junk in the open.

Daisuke spotted Alkura he smiled and waved then walked past Lucien and Cal he spoke. "Morning Lucien" He nodded at Lucien. "Dick" He muttered under his breath as he passed Cal. He saw Tyler and Otto taking their time coming aboard. "Hurry up you two, I wanna see this bad boy in the air." His eyes suddenly got big. "Holy crap I just thought of something. Airbender! Tyler you and Otto can Air bend us through the sky so we can get their faster! He jumped onto the wheel of the ship and yelled out "Appa yip, yip"

He stayed silent as they spoke, fading back again outside the group. A simple enough plan was hashed out using Tyler's first plan with modification. He didn't like the tension building between Adam and Tyler nor did he like the way he glared at Alkura, Otto was not above striking out at Adam and Tyler if they came to blows themselves but hopefully it didn't come down to that.
-
Otto followed the group from the rear as they left to go to the airship, watching as Alkura, Lucien and Cal got right on before watching Adam caterwaul about how safe it may or may not of been before he was pulled on by Alkura. He got on it next and kept his eye on Adam who went to meditate shortly before Daisuke reemerged and began to move about the boat. Otto walked up to Daisuke and threw his arm over the man's shoulder and leaned in real close. "You and I need to talk...somewhere...away prying eyes and ears friend." Otto spoke as he let go of Daisuke and began to walk off to the stern of the airship expectiong Daisuke to follow.

Tyler

"Not that old…"
Tyler muttered back, but she smiled a little none-the-less. "Let's go then." Tyler followed the rest to the ship and climbed aboard without hesitation. Even so, Daisuke had to holler at them to hurry up. Even if it was annoying to be yelled at to hurry up despite her usual pace, she was incredibly happy to hear Daisuke's voice again. "Thank god…" she murmured to herself, letting out a breath that she didn't know she'd been holding all this time. It seemed that every time Adam came out, he was out longer and longer and the woman secretly feared that he would take over completely. If that happened, she might seriously consider finding a way to 'deal' with Adam for good.

Her gaze lingered on Daisuke a little too long in thought while she watched him run around and make an Airbender reference. She couldn't help but smile. "As far as I'm aware, Lucien and I are the only Airbenders here." She looked Otto's way. "But he'll probably be stronger with fire than all of us, I'm sure." She gave Otto a smile and moved to the front of the airship to look over the railing. The wind breezing past her face prompted her to close her eyes and let out a long breath before resting her torso over the railing limply. God this felt good. She let the feel of the air envelop her, hoping the stress would just drain right out of her body.

Daisuke Hirragi

Daisuke's jokes seemed to only amuse Tyler. Her gaze seemed somewhat fixated on him, he wondered if this was it. He thought to himself if maybe now would be a good time to tell her everything. He was about to call back to her when he felt a bear paw on his shoulder.

"Totoro?" He whipped around to see the grizzled viking man looking serious. "Sorry Otto, I thought you were someone else." Otto, like always was serious and said he wanted to talk in private. Daisuke wondered if he saw how Tyler looked at him earlier maybe he wanted to bow out gracefully. Daisuke smiled patted him on the back and replied, "you are a good man Otto, a far greater one than I."

Daisuke followed Otto and got his heart ready. He did his best to hide his smile he didn't want to rub it in Otto's face that he was happy. Otto stopped and Daisuke took in a deep breath, "ok Otto, what's so important that we needed to separate from everyone?"

"A couple things, one being our mutual interest in our lovely blue companion and the other has to do with the teeanger who shares a body with you." Otto had seen the way Tyler had lingered on Daisuke but he was more willing to chalk that up to her being glad he was back after the grief she was getting from Adam. "Let's first speak of Adam, he is becoming...an issue to say the least. He has been seemingly action unstable and I fear he may start lashing out at Tyler, Alkura and possibly others, if it progresses that far Tyler, myself or any of the others will respond in kind. My point is try and talk some sense into him before he opens a box he can't shut otherwise I fear for his safety and by proxy yours since I don't know if you can pull the same body swapping trick two times in a row." Otto paused as he let Daisuke digest his words. "My other thing of course involves Tyler, obviously both you and I care a great deal for her and wish to pursue...something more with her. The issue present to us is that we are in a very new situation where Tyler has been thrust into the position of leader of the group and along with Adam being rather...difficult it has put Tyler under a great deal of stress and while I would gladly take back said position so Tyler wouldn't need to deal with the stress I believe such a thing happening would cause our position in this new place to seem weak and possibly invite challenge from outside elements that is very much not needed at the moment. Saying all this I propose you and I put this little quote unquote love rivalry on the back burner until we have established ourselves here and Tyler is under less stress, once we reach that point then you, Tyler and I will sit down to talk and deal with this like adults and not like teeangers in a shitty romance novel because for all you and I know Tyler may not be interested in either of us in that way at all. Now while I shouldn't trust you in this regard do to the underhanded bullshit you tried to pull when I first came back in that you tried to lie to me about my relationship with Tyler as well as how I felt about my own long dead wife..." Otto let the thought of what Daisuke had truly done to sink in. "But my gut tells me that I can trust you on this since it is for the welfare of Tyler rather than for you or I. So...deal with all this after we get our group established here? A truce to this?" Otto asked as he extended his hand for Daisuke to shake, Otto hoped that if he did take the deal that Daisuke would remain faithful to it.

Daisuke Hirragi

Daisuke deflated a little when Otto shared that he wasn't going to bow out gracefully in their shared interest in the bad ass blue woman. As Otto started to talk about the issues with Adam he kind of got irritated, everyone else had time to adjust to this life but Adam was just thrown in like some sort of puppy in a pitbull fighting ring. that being said Daisuke did understand his attitude was going to be a problem in the future especially if he gets himself killed or causes Tyler to burn him alive. "I understand Otto. and i'll talk to him but. I mean think about it, he's still a kid and unlike Alkura he hasn't had time to adjust. Wasn't it just a couple of months ago he was living with his parents now he's permanently marked with black tattoo's and monster features. Ofcourse he's acting like a brat." He could tell Otto didn't want to hear any excuses so he started talking right away. "but like I said i'll talk to him. just make sure that you give me time to do so, try to keep T-Wilder at bay until I can reach him."

With the matter of Adam somewhat settled Daisuke heard All Otto had to say about the woman they both desired. "I hear you Otto-mas Prime." He didn't bother looking to see if that reference made Otto smile or not. "I hear you Otto and trust me i'm down to wait till things are smoother." Otto brought up the little trick Daisuke played in the beginning when Otto was still hazy on the details. "oh man Otto I thought we were past that." He looked Otto in the eye and took a serious tone. "but really sorry, I uh. don't have an excuse and I shouldn't have brought your wife into the mix. I was just you know desperate and I thought it was my shot. Anyways no more tricks i'll play this as straight as a blade." Daisuke reached out and placed his hand in the baseball mitt Otto called a hand. he gripped as hard as he could and shook his hand. "This is an agreement between men, you have my word."

"Good, we are settled on the issue of our lovely blue companion." Otto paused as he finished the hand shake. "And I want to sympathise with Adam, to let him grow into this all on his own accord but we don't got that kind of luxury at the moment. He is gonna have to grow up fast and hard, if he needs help or some guidance I am always willing to lend a hand or a lesson but he needs to approach me first and show he desires to learn and grow. I won't help someone who is unwilling to take what I teach them to heart." Otto again paused, looking towards the sun as his two ravens came down and perched on the wood railing of the airship. "Now let's get back before someone starts some scandalous rumors about us." He said as he cracked a smile before turning and heading back to where everyone else was.

Daisuke Hirragi

Daisuke was relieved the matter with Tyler was able to be put on hold in a gentelmenly manner. Otto has always been a fine man and that's what made playing this game for Tyler's attention that much harder. Daisuke knew that if it ever came down to it Otto was a way better choice than he was. He smiled knowing that he would give it his all in due time.

Otto brought up Adam again. "I know right. he's growing on me." he pointed on the body he was occupying. "literally" he cracked a half smile and spoke seriously again. "There's a lot of stuff we can teach him but i'll let him know that you are willing to help if he comes to you willing to learn and not whine." Daisuke watched the ravens land near Otto and he cocked an inquisitive eyebrow. "Otto what's the.." He figured he could save the questions for another day. "never mind. yeah lets get back." Daisuke chuckled at the thought of everyone starting a rumor about the two.

"Shit!" Daisuke said out loud. "no matter how I look at it, I would be the bottom in this relationship. damnit." He started walking faster trying to reach the others a little bit before Otto, just in case. He reached the bridge and shook off the delusions of Homoerotic fantasy and switched to a nautical nature. "AYE MATEY! Pull the sheets, tighten the stern, swab the deck, tighten the bellows and stow the cargo. ARGH!" He said as he took up the steering wheel. "Hurry up I wanna get this bad boy in the sky."

GM POST
------

The flight to the island was a rather calm and gentle one, no major winds or storms to impede their progress though the flight was delayed a bit when a massive flock of birds had been spotted in the area by one of the airship's navigators so it had to stay in a holding pattern for an extra hour or two. The delay extended the time in which Tyler, Daisuke, Otto, Lucien, Cal and Alkura could relax and recharge before being thrown into the fire again, weather that be sleeping, eating, sparing or any other form of stress relief they could find. When the flight resumed it took them only a few days to reach their destination as the king has said, coming out of the clouds a bit allowed the team to see the town they were destined for.
---
The whole area seemed to be depressed into the ground, sloping hills and a rim many miles out from the sea and town which probably indicated a past of volcanism and cataclysm that had formed the many earthen tunnels the bandits had been using. The town itself seemed to be thriving if the amount of boat traffic coming in from the sea was any indication. The city seemed alive and well but they knew that the situation on the ground was much different if the little dots walking along the city's outer wall was any indication.
---
The airship began to descend into the city but not before lowering the royal flag and hoisting the normal one to obscure that the ship had been sent from the capital, the descent took little time and before anyone really realized they were being tethered to the ground and being jostled by the touchdown on land inside the aerodrome that housed the airships that were coming and leaving the city, just business as usual for anyone observing from the outside.

Daisuke Hirragi

Daisuke spent the trip doing his best to honor his agreement with Otto. He would talk to Tyler but was very careful to not say anything that might make her think he was trying to pick up on her. It was difficult, Daisuke ended up looking for something to do and found the material and sewing tools he purchased in the market place and decided he'd work on some clothes since he remembered Adam complaining about the fashion.

Daisuke decided that he was gonna make him a hoody. Adam seemed to prefer them, it seemed to make him feel safer. Daisuke took the material and made a blueprint of what he was going to make. He took the material drew on it, measured it, cut it, and started to sew it together. By the time the trip was ended Daisuke had made a hoody and a nice pair of pants. One of the operators of the ship stopped by and saw Daisuke's progress. He praised Daisuke and asked him if he was a professional Tailor. Daisuke smiled and spoke "no, but I did spend a few months in a Chinese sweatshop. I was forced to make sweat shirts, pants, t-shirts and even underwear." he looked away as if remembering a fond memory. "To bad it was shut down, I was getting along really well with those sweatshop kids."

The day finally came daisuke looked overboard and saw people run around and going about their lives. "yes, were gonna get off of this ship! i'm ready to get off and get off." He started laughing looking around for anyone to high five. "you know get off. ok never mind." Daisuke walked to the others and started talking about the mission. "ok so lets hurry up and get shit together I wanna fight somebody already. I wanna check out the town and get my hands on something." he looked at Otto then at Tyler then pulled his words back. "sweet. I want to eat something sweet." He nudged Otto secretly as if saying 'i'm keeping my word'

Tyler

For Tyler, most of the trip was spent sleeping. Actually, the entire ship ride was spent sleeping, at least when she wasn't eating. Not long after takeoff, the woman had easily found herself a spot at the bow, laid right down and fell asleep. Most of her days and nights were spent there, feeling the wind on her skin and sleeping in the sun like a lazy house cat. At one point, she even spotted some of the left behind fabric that Daisuke had been using to sew and dropped down to take a nap with it so she could use it to cover her face.

She was in one of these naps when the thump of the ship hitting the ground woke her. It was Daisuke's hooting and hollering that really stirred her from her slumber though as it was something that one could not easily ignore since it normally didn't stop. With a long sigh, Tyler dragged herself up to her feet and leaned on the railing to look over the edge. Not a single townsperson seemed surprised or interested in their landing. And the area they stopped in was clearly made for this sort of thing, so it was obvious that it was commonplace around these parts. Unfortunately, she figured that once they got off the ship and among the people, her skin would stand out too much.

If they were supposed to look weak and normal and whatnot, then she should try to look as normal as possible. The woman let out another long sigh. This was going to take some energy out of her. With a little heat, and help from the warm sunshine, Tyler was able to keep her skin a nice, natural tan in color. "Well… let's get going then."

Otto White

The trip had been slow for him, sparring with shadow opponents that weren't there in an effort to explore his newfound prowess with his spear. The seemingly implanted mastery of the weapons was odd, and he really couldn't call it anything other then implanted or a mastery, the skills with it seemed to flow from his mind as he struck at his imaginary targets, cutting heads, hands, arms, torsos and legs with a practiced ease that he had once used when wielding a firearm. Skills which Otto has only read about in his past now seemed to be as easy as breathing for him but it didn't just end at that. His spear also could extended or retract at his will which had already been demonstrated multiple times when he needed to store it away but he also found it was usable in a fight, extending it to hit a target that was out of reach of had stepped beyond his range of motion he also found that retracting it allowed him to start using it like a knife in the event fighting got closer than was recommended with a spear.
---
His spear training went on for the first two days but on the third through fifth he began to meditate and focus his power. He only worked on it at night on deck away from the more flammable parts of the ship, he sat on deck as he ravens watched. He summoned a ball of flame around the size of a basketball. He knew he would never measure up to Lucien or even Tyler when it came to wind, he has tried to before but it was to unrefined or controlled to make blades of wind like Tyler or even use it to make a concentrated enough force to harm anyone. He took the ball and began to compress it, he used his minimal amount of wind control to feed the flames as he pushed it tighter. It took him several hours to get near what he wanted but he failed sometime in the middle of the night, he was to tired to try again. The fourth night was the same though he got closer to what he was trying to achieve. On the fifth and final night at the very end of his strength, the ball was compressed to the size of a golf ball and for a split second Otto had a ball of plasma in his hands but couldn't keep it going and the ball of plasma died in his hands as he fell to the deck in exhaustion but he didn't need to keep it going, now he knew it was possible.
The next morning he exited with the rest, quite tired, so much so that he didn't even acknowledge Daisuke's words.
