A Fight for Freedom

You should have stayed in your tunnels! He said, but he didn't attack, he just circled around her, live a wolf that has cornered a sheep.
But i'm curious... You don't belong here. Dark elves are not friends of the steel men... They hunt dwarves and kill demons. What are you doing here, under Father Sky?

Illyase looked at him. "I was kidnapped as a child by one of them, and trained as an assassin." She swallowed hard. "I just want to be free, just as much as you and your brothers." She bit at her cheek and looked at the other orcs briefly. "I'll be out of the way if you let me leave." She promised, but mentally knew that it wasn't going to be that easy.

Why should i belive you? You might be a spy of the Steel Men! The orc roared, all his muscles growing tense and ready. He was bathed in blood, wich made him look dirty and spectacular.
Soon the other orcs would see their leader threatening a girl and will come in force, so Illyase had not a lot more of time.

Illyase huffed, and stripped from her shirt to show the orc all of her scars and marks from her punishments. "If you still don't believe me then instead of killing me take me prisoner, I have no intentions on killing you or your brothers."

Illyase then moved to place her shirt back on feeling rather uncomfortable.

The orc looked like he could have thrusted you with more than one spear the moment you showed your body, but he nodded then. You'll come and you'll tell me everything you know. He said and guided you to the encampment.
There, you found shamans and goblin witch doctors tending the wounds of many orcs, and also many of them already preparing everything to leave. Buntuk took you to a cage where the cleric and a couple of his escorts were. Who is him?

Illyase looked over all the wounded orcs as the past by, and then looked up at the cleric. "I don't know much about him, but he gathered his orders from my owner. I'm not sure exactly what is going on, but I heard something about my owner paying to receive him back, so there is a chance that he is important." She told him, and then glared at the man, if she could she would've killed him then and there. She looked at the other two in the cage. "As for those two they are simply guards so there isn't much need to be keeping them, but it is your choice."

The Cleric's eyes oppened widely, but he said nothing.
The other two started to pray for salvation as Buntuk ran through them with the spear.
Ok, send a centaur to say we want a million golden crowns AND all of our brothers to be freed or we will burn the entire duchy! Buntuk said, and one of them took his bag and ran from where the human had come.
Who was your master?

"Lord Harongold." Illyase responded, and looked at the corpses of the guards and then turned leaning against the cage. "May I ask what exactly it is that you will do with me?" She asked him rather curious. If she got an answer or not was up to him, and part of her hoped that it was something nice at least.

Illyase looked over the small children, and smiled only a little. It wasn't much of a childhood for them either but at least they could rest every once in awhile and play.

The children were with their mothers, who showed them how to fiht, how to play, how to sing and what to belive in. They were caring for their children, and they had lots of liberties nd things to do. You were said orcs were brutes with no brain, but that looked way better than what humans did to you.
Ask, listen. We throw bones. Then you choose. he said. I'm Buntuk SilenThunder. How are you called?

"My name is Illyase, the only thing I got to keep." She told him, and then nodded slowly. She looked back at the children and looked at Buntuk, "would it be OK?" She asked motioning to them. Illyase was much curious about them, and wanted to learn more, much more.

We throw bones before. Keep moving. He ordered and looked at you in a bad way. He made you move and soon all the orc were on the move. By the night, they all have done a couple kilometers.

He started to raise his tent, and made you help him. It looked like he was keeping you in check around him. By the time you were done, the lady orc you saw first came to the tent.

Who is she? she said once she got to the tent where he was sitting on a chair of furs and bones.

Illyase looked at her and then away. She was sitting on the ground with her legs crossed trying to keep herself in a calm state. She would've rather not be constantly watched over but Buntuk had his reasons and she knew that, she just hoped that this female orc wouldn't try to kill her, not that many had succeeded to begin with.

Illyase kept quiet with her eyes shut, just as she was raised.

Harongold's toy. Slave she too, refused to attack and told us the shaman we got is worth a fortune. We should throw bones and ask Mother Earth if she's to be trusted. Said Buntuk, his face, in the solitude of his tent with this outsider and his advisor, was many years older. He was cursed with his position, but no one else could have done what he did.
And he had seen less than 20 winters.

I'll belive it when i see Mother Earth's voice. She said. She took out some bones, human bones you could see, and put them in your hand. Throw them, and tell me what you see.

Illyase looked at them in her hands and then tossed them and then stared at them. Illyase froze up and then started speaking slowly. "A child..." Illyase looked away and closed her eyes. Illyase shifted so that she was no longer sitting cross leggef, but had her legs against her chest. "A child being taken from home with no one to protect her."

Mulha stared at the bones, and then stared at the girl. After a little time, she looked up to Buntuk. He, in turn, looked victorious twice in a day, with a grinn in his face.
She stays! he declared and went out to celebrate his victory on human flesh.
Come, child. You have not eaten yet, right? Mulha said. I'm Mulha, daughter of the Earth and Shamaness. And the only sane person you'll find in this tent. She said, picking up the bones and tending a hand to her.

"No I haven't." Illyase stood up, and then followed. "I don't have to eat the human flesh do I?" She asked staring into the distance with a little bit of a disgusted look on her face. She then peered at Buntuk. "You wouldn't happen to know what he has planned do you? At least for as why I'm going to be kept here..."

We have nothing else to eat. You could eat that or don't eat. Mulha said with a sad look in her eyes. The children however, were not eating meat. They had milk and fruits and some cheese too.

To a free slave there's no safer place than an army of free slaves, right? But you're not being "kept" here. If you were, you would be in that cage with the rotten bodies, and not in the chieftain tent.

"Alright well... At least take a chunk off so I don't have to think about where it came from." Illyase watched the children, and then looked back at Mulha. "I can see that, but why keep me in his tent? Is there a reason behind that?" She asked and looked down at herself. "I'm going to have to find some place to bathe in..."

Bathe? Mulha started to laugh without control, in a rough and though way, but also in a very real way. You funny, elve. He wants you close i don't know why. Maybe he likes you, maybe it's Father Sky's will. now, srve yourself. She got to a place where many naked bodies were getting grilled. She cut an arm and started eating with little delay, and after that she started talking with all the others, caring for their affairs, children and what they were doing.
For what you could hear, this was the first real meal they have had in almost a week.

Illyase looked at the bodies and then let out a shudder, she felt more like she was going to barf. Illyase turned away and walked away from all of it, she found a small pond that was just in amongst the trees but not so far away that Buntuk would have issues trying to find her. Illyase stared at the water before stripping from her clothes and stepping into the water. She sunk beneath the water briefly and then surface pushing all of her hair back and then running her hands down her face to keep water out of her eyes.
