A few thoughts popped in my head form my favorite game and movie
Mass Effect and Iron Giant
Basically I would like a female to play with in an alien crashing to Earth Romance.
He would be a benevolent alien sent to study the world but his ship would crash away form his destination, making a scene where your character would find him.
Looking for about mid 20's age range and the setting and story of their meeting can be plucked and thinned out with brainstorming
