Tyler Reele

Tyler had gotten the new VRMMORPG after his closest friend, more like a sister to him really, asked him if he would get it with her. Both of them had pre-ordered the game as soon as pre-ordering was available, and though they purchased it within the first hour it was out they almost didn't receive a copy. He figured this game was supposedly like some other game because the way Mary talked it seemed like she had played it dozens of times before. She said she played MMORPG's all the time and found a lot of extra stuff out by reading everything that she could get her hands. Mostly things BETA testers posted about it.

He had gotten home only minutes before 4:00 with his VR headset and game in hand. Quickly he booted up his computer and started the installation. It only took a single minute for the game to be playable. The game had a live stream option which he used as soon as it was available. It was a simple trick, the game would download everything you needed to play the first floor before letting you play and as you play the first floor it would install the rest. After all it would take a while to get passed the first floor. According to Mary the BETA testers had a hard time fighting the boss.

He slipped the headset on and laid down on his bed before closing his eyes and saying the command, "Connection Link!" The next thing he knew he was opening his eyes to a bright blue sky. He, along with dozens of others, was laying down in the middle of a large town square. It took him only a moment or so to get used to moving around in this world, for he found it was much like the real one, and before he knew it he was passed the tutorial and was typing in a user name. As a reward for finishing the first 'quest' he was given a starter pack which consisted of 1,000gp, which wasn't really a lot, five health potions and a mana potion.

A friend request popped up in front of him and he scratched his head. "Roseheart?" He mumbled to himself thinking. It sounded familiar... "Oh Mary!" He said clicking accept before sending her a message, "Hay! I will meet you at the northern gate when I'm ready to go out and fight some Monsters."

Quickly he made his way around the city, stopping at the church to learn some spells before rushing off to the general market to pick up raw materials. He was going to make his own equipment figuring later on it would be a useful skill to use. Instead of keeping some safe money stored away he spent every gold piece he started out with and started to craft and craft and craft. When he was done he sold his lesser items and equipped a rather large staff and a black robe via his inventory. He liked the idea of everything being a perfect fit, he wouldn't have to worry about resizing things if he was to start up his own market later on.

He rushed over to the norther gate getting lost only once or twice, still trying to get used to his map, before making it to the large wall. "Hurry up!" He shouted over to his friend as he went to run threw the opening only to be repelled backwards. "What?" He said surprised. Slowly he stood up and placed his hands on an invisible barrier. He frowned at her when he found out they wouldn't be able to leave the town till six, "That sucks." He mumbled before sighing as she said she would log out. "You do that, I'm going to sell my extra stuff to other players so I can level up my crafting some more.

He had turned to leave before he heard what she said. "That guide said it was right-" He said opening up his menu to show her but she was right. It wasn't there. "Oh..." While she called the GM he started to look threw everything he could find hoping to spot where the log out button was located to no prevail.

Mary Heart
She had no problem downloading the game, with a computer like her's it took but a few moments before the entire application was downloaded and installed. Without a moments hesitation she put on her VR headset and was waking up in a brand new world. It took her only a moment to get threw the tutorial and she quickly added Tyler, whom was already online. She frowned a little not knowing how he got on before her. Tyler messaged her fairly quickly and she smiled a little, "Sure thing." She typed back, "I will get ready myself."

She put away her menu before running around to the local shops and barracks gathering things she needed and checking out what she could improve. She already knew her way around this city, after all she spent time to memorize the map. She wanted to be the first one to beat this game and she had everything she needed to get a good head start.

It wasn't long before she was at the northern gate, but when she went to walk threw it some invisible force stopped her. At first she thought it was some trick another player was playing on anyone who tried to walk threw but then an error sign popped up saying restricted area. Quickly she checked the server status and that explained everything. All the players were trapped in the city for the first couple hours, that way everyone can get their gear and get ready to start. She frowned, that was the dumbest thing she heard in a while. Still it was good to be back.

She watched with a smile as Tyler ran up and hit the wall. At least she didn't full out run into it like he did. She giggled a little as he stood up and put his hands on the wall, "We are trapped in the main city." She explained to him, "We will be until about six which means we now have," She checked the time in her menu, "An hour and a half to waist." She sighed, "I'm going to log out for an hour or so. I'm going to take a bath and eat something that way we can play way into the night." She smiled and navigated to where the log out button was. Only to be surprised, "Hay, its not there." She said clicking the empty spot where it was supposed to be. She hit the 'Call GM' button only to get no reply. "Great..."

Elsa Becker
Elsa sighed as she put her pencil down, removing her glasses and rubbing her eyes. She wanted to make sure she was finished with all her homework for the week, just so she could play. Oh, how she had been looking forward to this day. After stretching her body out, she turned around to look at her bed where the VR set was sitting. It should have finished installing by now. She went over and placed the helmet on her head before lying down, and booting up the game. She didn't have to create an account, after all, it already existed, and instead she just typed in her username and password before moving on to the tutorial stage. It didn't take long at all to finish since she had done so before, only this time around it was slightly edited.

The first thing she did when spawning in the city was check her inventory. All her items were still there, but she had to scroll down to the bottom to find what she was looking for. She pressed the button, and with a poof, an old looking book appeared in her hands. It was a very special magic attack item that contained some of the strongest spells in the game, but it required a ridiculously high intelligence stat to interpret them. She didn't flip through many pages before she stopped understanding her tome completely. The next thing she wanted to do was check out the town, so she closed the book and put it back into her inventory. But as she was about to exit the menu, she noticed that the log off button was nowhere to be found. A bad feeling ran down her spine. Logging off was every players basic right, there was no way you could force anyone into playing a game they didn't want to, since the purpose of games was ultimately to have fun.

On her stroll through the city, she noticed all the changes that had been made. Mostly aesthetic, but there were also some new NPC's and shops. After checking them out she went to the northern gate, wanting to explore the world outside the walls. Once she was there, she sensed the force field blocking the exit, which she thought was strange, and the message didn't reassure her, either. Something was wrong. The log off option was gone, and there was no way of exiting the city... What exactly was going on?

Leonard Manderlay
His heart was racing out of pure excitement. He had managed to get a copy of the game he wanted after standing in line for several hours, which was quite exhausting. At first he thought they would be sold out, so he was quite surprised when the expeditian happily handed it to him. He couldn't help himself, and started running up the stairs to his room so that he could start playing right away. Suddenly, he could hear his father clearing his throat in the parlor. His mood dampened as if someone had thrown a wet blanket on him, and awaited his scolding. "Excuse me, Leonard, but how many times do I have to tell you not to run inside?" He gulped before replying. "You shouldn't have to tell me at all, father. It was stupid of me to forget." His father was quiet for a while. "Good. Now go to your room. I don't want to see you down here until dinner." Leonard frowned. "Yes, father..."

He stormed into his room, and threw his bag onto his bed. With an angry look on his face, he took of his strangling school uniform, which he had to wear every weekday even if there was no school, and put on a more comfortable set of sweatpants and a T-shirt. Leonard didn't mind that he had been grounded by his father, after all, he wasn't planning on leaving his room anyway, but it was the fact that he thought he could dictate every little aspect of his life that pissed him off. After ruffling his hair in frustration, he took a deep breath and carefully opened the box. The VR goggles were sleek and comfortable, so he wouldn't have any trouble wearing them for a long period of time. Excellent. He booted up the game, and with his heart racing again, put on the helmet.

The tutorial level was quite fun, as opposed to most other games he had played. Then again, this was a completely immersive experience, totally different from anything else. As he got to pick his screen name, he hesitated at first. He wanted a name that would reflect his real self, and allow him to be the person he wanted to be. "Leo Bravesoul", he typed in. The game scanned for other users with the same name, but a green check appeared next to it with a *ping* sound, signalling he was accepted.

As soon as he spawned in the city, his jaw dropped. Surrounding him was what looked something taken from a painting of the romantic period, picturesque and absolutely stunning. His walk around town took much longer than expected, but there was just too much to see and do. Then, the urge to go out on an adventure overwhelmed him, and he decided to head to the northern gates, only to be gravely disappointed. He was met with a force field hindering him from going outside, and a message saying the gates wouldn't open for a while. He sighed, and sat down on a nearby bench. He didn't feel like walking around anymore, he just wanted to go exploring, so he would wait here until he was allowed to.

Pedro returned from his local GameHalt, with a copy of Fortune Fantasy in hand. Now, Pedro was more of a man who bought single player games or games where the online was usually one on one fighting. However, this game was receiving a lot of hype before its release, and he decided to give it a go if he could get himself a copy. He went to his beaten up computer desk, it was cracked and one can tell just where he uses his mouse due to a circular patch where the mouse is that is a lighter shade than the rest of the desk. After a couple of minutes, his computer finally finished starting up and he started to download the game. He knew his computer was a piece of junk, but hopefully the game would at least run in the lowest possible settings.

He laid on his nearby bed and put on the helmet that seemed more expensive than everything on his computer desk combined, and started the game. He created his account and was sent to a character creation screen. He made a character who more or less looked like him, if not a little taller. When he got the choice of his name, at that moment he knew what he had to be, to strive for, to become. Pedro wanted a name that would live on even if he stopped playing, wiht others trying to copy him. He entered the words "Papa Gigante" and with a satisfying ping, he entered the game and blazed though the tutorial.

Upon entering the world, he was more surprised that his computer was running it than the game itself. While he thought the game looked pretty, Pedro would rather want a functional game over a good looking one and went around the market place to find the items he wanted, a sword, a shield, and a simple piece of cloth to throw over his face. He attempted to go out of the city where he could slay some monsters, but found a force not allowing him to leave. He figured that maybe there must be a story quest associated with leaving the area. Papa Gigante gave slight shrug, and walked around, hoping to find some answers about what is happening. He doubted a game that just came out would have a walk-through already, so the community was his only choice.

Arthur Westfield

The young man was inside of his family's house, Arthur belonged to a rather rich family who had been werry strict with his tutelage and where he is allowed to go. This has made him a sheltered person who thinks that the entire world is filled with the kind of people who helps each other out, even the entertainment he has been given is sheltered and he only owns about three diferent games for a playstation 2. One day Arthur was bored and asked his old friend/Butler Charles if he knew anything "New" out in the world which might be fun, Charles in return managed to smuggle in a pair of VR goggles and a copy of the newly made VRMMORP game called Fortune Fantasy without Arthurs parents noticing. Arthur who had never played a VR game or a MMORPG was thrilled and quickly went to get everything in order so he could try to the game out for himself.

He laid down on his bed as he VR goggles started and a screen apeared infront of the young man asking him to create his account Arthur followed the instruction of how to do it and was then sent to create his character, being abit simple he just made the character so it resembled him in real life. He was silent for awhile as he tried to come up with some kind of name, and after moments of wonder he decided uppon a name that he had seen in one of my many books. "Arthas".

Once he was in the game world he just stared in amasement, he coundt belive he had missed out on such a great thing like MMORPG games! He looked at all the people who were walking around him and ended up running around as if he was a kid at a zoo, he even ended up going allong with some other new players who based on their vocabulary were a handfull years younger than he himself was. But even so he was enjoying the game for now and picked out a shield and a sword which he thought suited what he wanted to do in the game. When Arthas and his group of youngsters noticed that they coudn't leave the city they were abit bummed, one of the kids pouted but this was quickly changed when they decided to see if they could find any "cool" places within the city.

Yong Xun was finishing up a meal of rice, and a large square chunk of meat which looked like various meat parts mashed together to form a large square. Yong Xun was perfectly happy with the meat, after all it was fairly cheap and it tasted fine. Plus he was happy that his supervisors at Fenghuan asked him what he wanted to eat, about a week earlier. Yong didn't want to seem rude to his boss by asking for too much, after all, even if he wasn't being serious it would be inconsiderate to ask of him to spend a large sum of cash on one meal. So Yong just asked for something simple and cheap, and he got what he was expecting, a relatively cheap meal that tasted fine. As he was finishing a meal, a gentlemen wearing a black Mao Suit and khaki pants walked in carrying a card-board box, and presented it towards Yong Xun. He was an important member of the Fenghuan Corporation, and he was honored that he was visiting. He knew there was a reason that when Yong showed up for work this morning that he was told he should enter an indeterminate room of the corporate building. It was an secret facility within the larger corporate tower that only a select few knew about and entered. In fact, Yong didn't even know about this room until he was given a card key by a rather high ranking corporate official earlier that morning, and was told to go to that particular room. Yong was still surprised that the Fenghuan Corporation trusted him to go to this secret room. Yong just felt good about the whole thing, and the trust that the corporation placed upon him and his abilities. Yong was not ready to disappoint the corporation who placed so much trust into him as to let him be one of a few who knew of this location.

The higher ranking Corporation Official stared at Yong Xun and spoke, "你將扮演這個虛擬現實遊戲,並從中獲得所有重要信息。不要讓我們失望。" He left as he nodded to Yong. Yong looked at the box perplexed at it. Was this that Fortune Fantasy that he heard about? Yong didn't hear much concerning it, but he heard enough to know what it was about. It was supposed to be a brand new Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Game, that was recently developed by a rival corporation. When he heard about it, he took it upon himself to try to learn more information about it. Yong wasn't able to get any real exclusive things, but from translated interviews and various websites concerning Fortune Fantasy, Yong heard that critics adored the game and proclaimed that it would be a "Revolution to the Gaming World, that will turn everything that people knew about gaming upside down on it's head." This game, and this peripheral helmet accessory were of a great interest to Fenghuan. After all, if Fenghuan was able to get more knowledge about how exactly the Virtual Reality worked, the quality of the helmet, the user interface, the game balancing, how well the graphics were rendered, the frames per second the game ran off of, etc. they would be able to develop a competing game against Fortune Fantasy. And if they were able to develop a new game, of a better quality than Fortune Fantasy, this early into the new genre of VRMMORPGs, the Fenghuan Corporation's profits would sky-rocket, which would benefit everyone in the corporation. These thoughts rattled in Yong Xun's mind, as he glanced at the box for a bit longer, as he knew whatever was in that box, and in that game, it was his destiny to find out for the Fenghuan Corporation. Yong Xun took out a pencil from a brand new metallic pen-holder, as he slammed it into the tape, as he began pulling the pencil down the tape. He then began to do the same process again to the sides of the box. The card-board box gave in after this method of opening it. Yong Xun opened the box, removing a large helmet. Yong Xun examined the helmet, as the fluorescent light of the room shined down upon Yong, and Yong thought that the very heavens themselves gave him this task. He sat at a small desk, on-top of a artisan made wooden chair. The chair itself was decorated on the sides with the images of twisting and curving dragons. The chair seat itself was made of a nice and soft fabric. But he then realized there was a small note, perhaps it was left by the Game Company? Well it looks like the official who brought the box translated the message from the small paper he procured from the box. The paper scrap said, "如果你要玩遊戲,躺了下去" Yong raised his eyebrows at that, thinking it was an odd feature that for optimal game-play it required him to lay down. Though that didn't really matter much to him, playing the game was the important task, not whether he would be laying down to play it. But before he got into the optimal game play position, he glanced at the computer on the desk for a moment, it was one of the new state of the art computers that the Fenghuan Corporation was testing out. Yong's task was not to test the computer, and make sure that it ran properly and at an extremely quick speed. No, that was not Yong's task, so he returned his glance back to the Virtual Reality Helmet that was entrusted to him. Yong took the helmet with him, as he laid down on the tile floor.

Yong placed the helmet on, as he quickly made an account, one with a username he thought would not be taken, after all making a username that had a likely chance of being taken, would mean he would not be able to enter the game as quickly, and that Yong would not have. After all, they trusted him with this mission, it would be better if he were able to enter the game quicker than slower. He entered "Frzrorp" and waited for the name to be accepted. Once the name was accepted he entered the tutorial level. Yong rushed through the level with no problems, all the while making mental notes of how the stage taught new players, and analyzing the game, from the mobs, to the graphics, to the frame-rate, and anything else that would be useful to learn. After completing the tutorial stage, he noticed that he was spawned into a town. Yong attempted to leave the town, in order to best get an experience for world exploration and see how early exploration would feel alongside examining the various textures and other things that he thought he should note, but Yong noticed a force was keeping him in place. Yong was amused by the idea that the game prevented him from exploring at this time, and took note of it. Well, there must be something that was keeping him in the town and not allowing him to explore the vast landscape around it. And with that new insight, Yong began to explore the town, and see if there was anything of note, his primary target was to see if there was anything that directly linked the force keeping him from going outside the town, as after all he needed to analyze more than just a town in order to get a better feeling for how Fortune Fantasy operated.

"Naomi! Naomi get down here and finish the dishes for you sister!" Her mother called from downstairs. Naomi groaned and had a mini fit before stomping downstairs. "Why do I have to do the dishes for her? She never helps me!" The ten year old argued, as she descended the stairs. Her mother was waiting at the bottom, with her arms crossed against her chest, and her right eyebrow cocked. Naomi knew she was going to be in trouble if she kept going, but she hated how her mother always made her do her little sister's chores!
"That's because Hannah is always studying and planning for her future. You are always in your room and playing some game while your brain turns to much, like your father!"

For a moment Naomi only saw red. Her father and her mother had only been divorced for three years and she was still bad mouthing him! He didn't even talk about her, because he was a mature adult who knows how to move on!
"Daddy's brain isn't mush! Your brains mush!" Naomi screamed before she could even think about what she was saying. Her mother who had been walking back to the kitchen, stopped, turned on her heel and this time her eyebrow was cocked and her lips were pursed. Naomi knew she was in deep deep trouble then.
"What did you say to me, little girl?" Her mother hissed.
"I-I-Your always talking about daddy and I--
"Go to your room. And don't come back down until tomorrow. Your sister will bring you your dinner at 7. And I will come up at 9 to speak to you and you had better not be playing that damn game that your father bought you or I will slap you into tomorrow!" And with that, Naomi's mother stalked away and Naomi was forced to trudge upstairs.

As soon as she entered her room however, she grinned, let out a whispered 'Whoohoo!' and woke her computer from hibernation. VR, was loaded and ready. She'd just log out at 6:30, eat her dinner and then get back on and get off at 8:30! Sometimes her mom could be so-o slow.

Lying down on her bed, she put on the headset and whispered "Connection Link!" and soon the start up screen was before her. Well more like she was in the start up screen. "Awesome!" She exclaimed, and couldn't help giggling uncontrollably when she began the tutorial. Most game tutorials were lame and tedious, but since this was a virtual reality game, it helped to have some instruction. After completing the tutorial she was sent to the 'Create a username' screen and she chose...Cirque. Because her daddy took her to Cirque du Soleil on her birthday and then gave her the VR game. It had been the best day ever.

In a blink of an eye she found herself in the game world, the starter town. "Awesome," She repeated, scrambling to her feet and dashing from shop to shop. She had received 1000 GP for completing the tutorial, so she wanted to buy a few necessaries like a sword or--"A whip!" She breathed, when she saw the weapon. It was beautiful! It was sweet! It was-- "6:40!!" Naomi screeched and quickly navigated to the game menu, but the log out button wasn't there. Maybe she had to speak it?
"Game Log out!"
Nothing happened. "User Cirque wants to Log Out!"
"Hello?!" She found the 'Call GM' button and clicked it once. Then twice. Then about ten times before she got it through her head that she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
And that was...
"AWESOME!!!!"

Julie Yin
"Oh boy, oh boy oh boy!" Julie excitedly screamed as she slammed the door behind her and her mother yelled something to her in Cantonese. "Okay mom" she shouted back and headed to her room. Julie had just gotten back from her town's local GameHalt after having camped out over night to buy the game. She was one of the few who preordered, but wanted to be the first at the store just in case. Surely enough, she got her hands on a physical copy of the game and drove home as soon as she got it. She was really glad that Virtual Reality goggles became possible in her time and wasn't bought out by some big social networking company for the use of social networking instead of gameplay like the device was actually made for. Julie had spent the past year watching the development of both the VR goggles and Fortune Fantasy. When she left home to buy a copy, it was the first time she had stepped outside the house for something that wasn't school.

Julie's room was rather small, though it didn't really need to hold much stuff. On one end of the room, there was a bookshelf stocked with resin figures of various anime characters doing different poses. On the walls, were posters of various Kpop bands, and a shirt that professes Julie's love for one of the members of one such band. She tore the shirt off the wall and sniffed it. "That feel when no average Korean bf... Oh Taecyon, when are you coming to town again?" she snuggled the shirt before putting it back. With her hands, Julie wiped her face and opened the box Fortune Fantasy was in. With it, she plopped the disk into her computer.

"Okay... here goes nothing." Julie took off her glasses and put on the VR goggles. A small chuckle escaped her lips from the excitement of being able to play such a game- she couldn't wait to write about it on her blog. "Um... um..." Julie stammered nervously "Connection l-link!" She could feel her own consciousness being pulled into a portal. She entered her username and logged in. Julie was no longer in the real world; She was in the database.

Julie had just finished creating her character. A proud and strong dark knight. Her user name: DarkedgeLord. "Wow... this is so exciting!" Julie squeaked in her male body in a rich baritone voice. "But... being a guy is so... different" Julie remarked as she regained her composure. "So many extra parts" she examined herself. After finishing the tutorial, Julie had already gotten use to her character's stature and gait. She was ready to be a man.

The lord of Darkedge scanned the town of the first floor with his dark red orbs. The knight swept his hair from his eyes then swaggered forth, hands hanging casually at his side. He leaned over one of the market stalls then turned away before looking towards a female player. "Hey there. Are you an archaeologist? Because I have a very large bone for you to examine" DarkedgeLord asked to no avail. He headed into an alleyway to brood, checking to make sure no one was following him.

"Alright, I think that's enough gaming for today" Julie sighed. She opened her menu to find that the logout button was missing. "WAAAAAAAAAH" she screamed in fear, then looked outside the alley to make sure no one heard it. After a second though, she calmed down. "Just like my Chinese cartoons" she murmured to herself, with a giddy tone.

Nikolaus lived at home, the single child of a businessman and and a lawyer. His father was a Japanese businessman who was always traveling, and his mother was a German-American lawyer who did nothing but work. He seldom got to see his parents as a cause of this, but they always seemed to leave him gifts around the house -- as if saying, "Sorry, Nikolaus! We love you, but don't have time for you! So take this, okay?" This, throughout Nikolaus's life, was a bittersweet thing. Over time, he grew to not care about most of the presents his parents gave him, or his parents themselves. He cares only for one thing: gaming. So then, one could understand Nikolaus's surprise as he walked into his video-game paraphernalia laden room. There before him was a king amongst plebs, a jewel amongst rocks. There, in all of its shining glory: a virtual reality console. Nikolaus, a normally calm individual, dropped to his knees as tears streamed down his face. He began babbling in several languages at once, although there was a thick german accent in all of the languages.

"義なる神は、私は値しないです!" Nikolaus exclaimed, as his eyes shined.

"Bitte erlauben Sie mir, dieses Geschenk anzunehmen!" Nikolaus spoke, almost so softly as if fearing some great god would strike him down, laughing at his glee.

"Thank you, parents of mine... thank... you."

Nikolaus began crawling towards the virtual reality console, before pulling himself up into his large and plush chair. Reclining the chair, he lightly - oh so gingerly - touched the VR console. It was as if the answers to the universe were before him, and he believed himself unworthy. But just as he was believing this couldn't get any better - beside the console lay a case. A case that held two simple words on the front: Fortune Fantasy. Nikolaus had heard of this console, as well as this game, but had never possibly even imagined that one could reach him so far across the world. After much thanking to some divine being, Nikolaus put on the goggles and prepared to enter the world of Fortune Fantasy. Then, from this dull world that was Earth, Nikolaus was torn and thrown into the wonderful world of Fortune Fantasy.

Nikolaus thought long and hard - several hours, in fact - about his character's name. His name had to be one of glory, one of fantasy and reflecting only the most honorable and noble of traits. Indeed, it had to be a name fitting for a king. Then, it hit Nikolaus - of course! DiamondKing! Unfortunately, that name was taken. And PlatinumKing. So then, Nikolaus settled for GoldenKing. After choosing that name - and becoming only the most NOBLE of heroes, the Lightblade - Nikolaus entered the world of Fortune Fantasy. Nikolaus spent an unnecessarily large amount of time in the tutorial, learning every possible way to use his spells as well as trying to make them look as flashy as possible. Not only that, he was thinking of the most wonderful things to shout while casting his spells! Like those annoying people in other games who shout "Get over here!" when they cast their spells... anyway, after a while, Nikolaus entered the town of Vilaka. Striding around the town as the large, burly, and heroic knight that was GoldenKing, Nikolaus began to glance around for wonderful quests to lead him to glory and honor. He began exploring around the town, talking to vendors and getting a general lay of the land.

Nikolaus waved at a fellow player, smiling broadly.

"Gegrüßet seist du, mein elegante junge Dame. Würden Sie mir erklären, wo ich ein Geber von Aufgaben, die mich auf eine Reise epischen Ausmaßes senden können feststellen, so dass ich Drachen und Dämonen gleichermaßen, um meinen Platz unter den Legenden behaupten zu besiegen?" Nikolaus said, with the utmost friendliness.

The player, staring at him as if he were a freak, walked away without saying anything.

Not to be deterred, Nikolaus began to explore the town more and more. So far, Nikolaus hadn't found any problems with the game whatsoever. And most likely, he wouldn't find any - Nikolaus had no intentions to leave this game for as long as he could stay awake.

Silver Fang
After a little while Silverfang had shrugged off the event as if it were nothing. "Honestly Ma-" He was cut off by a hard slap, "I'm Roseheart in this world. Call me Rose." He nodded and corrected himself, "Sorry, Honestly Rose," He started over, "Their are probubly dozens of people all over the place freaking out about the missing log out button. Right now I would assume they are working diligently to fix it and are ignoring calls so they could put all their focus on fixing the problem." He smiled a little to her warmly. He didn't know much about these kind of games, or about video games in general seeing how he was never a very big gamer, but even he knew not being able to log out was a bad thing. "At any rate, we have about an hour to explore the city and make new friends." He said as he turned to walk off, "I'm going to work on my crafting ability and try to sell somethings to other players."

Without waiting for her to say anything he rushed off down the street to the nearest shop to get his items appraised. Of course the NPC vender would only buy them for about one third of the swords actual value, or somewhere along those lines. He had learned that from Rose a while back and was quite glad he remembered it. That meant after doing a little math he could sell it to other players for about seventy five percent. Other players would most likely jump on that idea and he would make his money back on the items he created. Or at least most of them, crafting was a wild card after all. He ran from person to person selling items to other players cheaper than what the main shops sold them for and quickly made a good sum of cash. He almost broke even but that didn't mater. As his skill went up so will the chance of making a good weapon arise. Their for the longer he kept at it the more money he would make.

Out of items, other than the ones he kept for himself, he ran back to the general market and bought all kinds of raw materials before again crafting at a work bench. Until he could find a forge he would have to settle for leather armor and wooden weapons. When he finished he went back out to sell his items before repeating the task over and over again. It wasn't long before he was making a couple gold coins after every sale and though it wasn't much considering all the time he was putting into it, he still felt it was an accomplishment.

While in the middle of cutting a deal with another player he noticed a blue circle had formed below him and light shot up around him. The words popped up before him,
"Force teleport in progress.
Please do not move."
He wondered what would happen if he did move but was too afraid to try it. He looked around and noticed someone else had tried to move and a lock symbol appeared over his name. They weren't really asking them not to move, they were forcing them it seemed. He sighed and waited to find out where he was being teleported to. This probably had something to do with the missing log out button though he figured the GM probubly had the power to force log out everyone if he could force teleport them. It all seemed quite off to him.

He soon appeared at the town square, the same place everyone had appeared when they logged in however no one was on the platform which was odd. When he logged in a couple of players were playing king of the hill trying to knock each other off the ten meter platform. He looked around and noticed everyone seemed to be facing the platform and were in no particular order. A man appeared over the platform in the center, though he was floating a couple meters above it so everyone could see it.

"Welcome to Fortune Fantasy!" He boomed. The crowd cheered as this remark and he seemed to enjoy the sound of it while it lasted, however once it calmed down he continued, "I'm sure by now most of you have noticed the log out button is gone!" He announced and a few murmurs went threw the crowd. He sighed and looked around quickly noticing his trading partner was no where to be seen. He would have to sell the rare chest piece to someone else later on. He noted the female next to him, she looked like she was in need of some armor. He figured she would be his first target after this speech. The murmuring finally died down and the man spoke again, "First I would like to give everyone a gift, from me to you!" A ding played in his ear and he opened his inventory to see what it was but before he had a chance to locate it the item activated on its own. He found the item anyways and he gasped when he saw his reflection. He was no longer the character he created, but he looked exactly like himself, his body, his face, his hair color. He frowned a little finding this completely odd. The only thing that was the same was his items/equipment. He looked over and noticed the small girl was really a tall male that looked very muscular. That came to a shock to him but he looked away and didn't say anything. Though he almost laughed finding it humorous to see the man in a girls short cut dress.
It took a very long time for the crowd to silence down again. "Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here." A smile crept onto his face, one that sent chills down Silverfangs spine, "This game is now about life or death! I will not give you a log out button and if you die in this game you will die in real life! This is not some easy push over game where if you make a mistake its not the end of the world. One mistake can cost you, or those around you, your lives. Don't go thinking someone will pull the helmet off of you either. I'm sure your already aware you can't move your bodies, that's because the 'headset' your using connects directly to your brain and nervous system! Meaning if it is forcefully removed you will die. Don't worry though, I have already sent word out that removing the helmet while the player is in game will be deadly, though some people didn't listen and did it anyways. I also gave out your addresses to the local authorities in your area! This means you will all be disconnecting soon while your moved to the hospital where they can keep you alive during your stay in the game. After all I want to see if your strong enough to survive in this world, if you die of starvation in the real one I won't be able to test you very fully." The crowd by now was in a frenzy, people sobbing and screaming, curling up in balls on the ground or hitting things in anger. A whole range of emotions were displayed. "If you eat the in game food it will take away the feeling of hunger, just like eating real food. I suggest you stock up...You will be able to log out of the game once someone manages to defeat the final boss!" He said before turning around and walking to a door that appeared behind him. He turned around and smiled, "Oh, and try not to die." before walking threw the door and vanishing along with it. Silvers mouth went dry and he stood there not sure what to do... was this just an event? No it looked like he was serious... and everyone else didn't seem to think it was an event... Only moments later everyone seemed to black out a the same time. The Fortune Fantasy Situation arises!

Mary Heart
Roseheart
Rose was really getting nervous about this whole thing. If she was trapped in the game for too long she might not get the chance to shower before she went to bed. Her morning was going to be all thrown off it seemed. She tried hitting the call GM button again but still no answer. That's what Silverfang spoke up, "Honestly Ma-" She gave him an angry look and slapped him. Though it wouldn't hurt since they were in the safe area he would still get hit by the minor knock back... in the end she was sure he would get the point, "I'm Roseheart in this world. Call me Rose." He seemed to understand and gave a nod and she smiled as he said her game name, "Sorry, Honestly Rose, there are probubly dozens of people all over the place freaking out about the missing log out button. Right now I would assume they are working diligently to fix it and are ignoring calls so they could put all their focus on fixing the problem." He was probubly right. She sighed and nodded figuring he must be right. She was really stupid to be worrying about such things, "At any rate, we have about an hour to explore the city and make new friends." He said as he turned to walk off, "I'm going to work on my crafting ability and try to sell somethings to other players." "Your leaving?" She questioned a little disappointed but she figured there was no point in following him.

She looked around and sat next to a male with the username, Leo Bravesoul, whom was resting on a bench not to far from her. She looked over at him once, then twice, "Uh hay?" She said making it sound more like a question then a greeting. "I um, do you happen to have your log out button?" She asked wondering if everyone was missing there log out button. Honestly since both she and Silver were missing theirs everyone probubly was but she still wanted to make sure. Whens he found out he was also missing his she sighed and looked down, "I see." A worried expression crossed her face. This wasn't right, this wasn't how it was supposed to be. They were supposed to be having fun and slaying monsters. This was a bad first experience for Silver and she felt bad for dragging him into it. She just hoped he wasn't putting on a tough face just to comfort her.

After a while of saying nothing to the male she looked over at him again, only to hold her tongue for a second or so, "Uh, Leo Bravesoul." She said trying not to bother him, "Do you have any idea when they will fix the glitch?" Of course he didn't. He wasn't the GM, he was just as clueless as she was, "I hope they fix it soon." It was eating away at her, the feeling of being trapped. Not only were they stuck in the city, they were stuck in the game as well. She was practically being imprisoned and she didn't like that feeling at all. "Sorry for bothering you." She said scratching the back of her neck a little. "Sorry for bothering you." She said sheepishly before coming up with an idea. She opened her menu and sent Leo a trade request. She had a few extra items she could part with. After all she had been in the BETA so her level and items were better than the average player.

A teleportion ring popped up around her and she was a bit confused. Was it a forced teleportion? She didn't use a crystal... and she wasn't in a party so who was teleporting her?
"Force teleport in progress.
Please do not move."
Well... that answered her question. It must have been a GM. The next thing she noticed was she was in the town square. She looked around and frowned slightly not seeing Leo anywhere. Quickly she sent him a friend request. She would give him the items later on when she was able to meet up with him. Though she wasn't sure if he would accept it. Before he had reacted to the trade request the teleport broke it up. She figured she wouldn't know until later on.

A man appeared over the platform in the center, though he was floating a couple meters above it so everyone could see it. "Welcome to Fortune Fantasy!" His voice rang out. The players cheered at his remark, honestly she shouted out in joy as well. "I'm sure by now most of you have noticed the log out button is gone!" 'Finally they are going to fix it.' She thought to herself sighing in relief. "First I would like to give everyone a gift, from me to you!" 'What? That was random...' Never the less the ding sounded and she opened her inventory to find out what she had gotten. She pulled out a mirror and gasped when she saw herself, not her avatar. "Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here." 'Stay?' "This game is now about life or death! After all I want to see if your strong enough to survive in this world, if you die of starvation in the real one I won't be able to test you very fully." What was this man thinking! Trapping them in this video game was bad enough, but now he was making everyone risk their lives for his own amusement! "If you eat the in game food it will take away the feeling of hunger, just like eating real food. I suggest you stock up." He was being so casual about it! "You will be able to log out of the game once someone manages to defeat the final boss!" He turned to leave, "Oh, and try not to die." Tears formed in her eyes and she felt herself fall to her knees. This wasn't what she wanted, this was supposed to be fun... She wiped them away, at least she had the advantage though. She had levels and weapons. She could easily get to the good farming spots. She stood up and stumbled a little, her eyes blurred with tears before everything blacks out.

Yong heard the loud announcement. Luckily for him, the message played across in several languages. Yong waited for the message to play in Mandarin. As soon as it began in Mandarin, Yong listened intently to what this Rival Corporation Representative would say.

"我敢肯定,現在大部分你已經注意到了註銷按鈕消失了." Yong raised his eyebrow in a quizzical manner. He did not think about trying to log off, he wasn't even able to leave the starter town, it wouldn't make sense to leave before even exploring the territories. Still, such a development was a strange announcement.
"首先, 我想給大家的禮物, 從我到" Interesting, Yong checked his inventory, as he noticed a mirror, and when he gazed upon it. His avatar was changed into him. Yong was surprised, as he left his mouth agape. He then had his eyebrows engaged in another quizzical expression. Why would people be upset about this now? Yong didn't really mind that new change.

Yong was shocked as his face grew pale. IF he couldn't log out, how could he complete the mission!? What would the Fenghuan Company think about this!? What would they do? The Rival Corporation literally made a Game of Death! This, was... a VERY notable message. Yes, this information gleamed was indeed quite intriguing to Yong. He waited for the booming representative of the rival corporation to speak again.

"如果你吃的食物在遊戲中它會帶走飢餓的感覺,就像如果你吃真正的食物,我建議你存儲一些口糧。" So, food would be important in this game of death... another mental note.
"你將可以註銷,當有人擊敗了決賽中相遇. "
"哦,並盡量不要死. "
Yong scoffed at that. "這僅僅是卑鄙的。" he said giving a quick nod. Well, if he had to beat the Final Boss to get out, Yong knew what he must do. Defeat the Final Boss as quickly as possible. This was his mission.

But, a bad omen would befall him, as Yong Xun blacked out.

DARK EDGE LORD
Julie Yin

It had innately been clear to Julie that she was supposed to get out. The feeling of being able to do something so like in her Japanese Animes made her very excited, jumping about in her still masculine form. She stood up straight, waiting for something to happen. Something always happened to the main character, which she hoped she was. She had to be- right? Eventually, she saw flashes of light- people being instantly teleported to the town square to be talked to by the Admin. Julie knew the protocol and patiently waited her turn. "Oh boy this is so exciting!" she curled over in the most feminine way possible before she was finally force-teleported like everybody else.

"Welcome to Fortune Fantasy!" the voice boomed. Julie tried to contain her excitement at the risk of breaking character. Julie patiently waited, looking at the Admin's large figure. Her virtual eyes were glazed over. She didn't focus on the admin or anyone around her really. She daydreamed of all the adventurers she would have in the magical realm. She could be the protagonist with all the cool powers that come seemingly from nowhere. She could be the chosen one, despite none of the chosen stuff being foreshadowed at all or even with such a thing being a major plot point in the story. She could even use special techniques that only she could use because she was the main hero! Then everybody else would be the NPC.

"And here's the magic mirror" Julie grasped the mirror. "and now I'm me again... wait... I-I'm me again." Her confident smile turned into a look of disdain and discomfort. Her legs curled inward- as she was just beginning to get used to being a man, she had returned to being female. Her stature and figure changed from tall and manly to short and girly. She did not have a very feminine figure, and thankfully, her armor didn't show off much of her body. Of course, everyone knew she was a girl.

At least she didn't have to worry about periods for the duration of her stay. Hopefully.

Not finding much about why he couldn't leave, Pedro decided on two things. First, to learn a profession. Second, to start referring to himself as Papa Gigante. He went to an alchemy trainer and started to learn the basics, learning to make a simple potion form fire. He then felt something weird happening to him. He was being teleported it seemed, by the words flashing in front of him. He found himself in a big plaza surrounded by others. This was most likely an opening event for being the first ones in.

Papa Gigante heard the message boom. While he didn't hear it clearly as it wasn't in his native language at first, when it did he made sure to take it all in due to everyone else's reactions. He didn't even know what was wrong at this point, why was everyone freaking out?

"I'm sure by now most of you have noticed the log out button is gone!" Papa Gigante was slightly taken aback by this. This was the first time he heard about it, he was too busy learning about the game to actually try to log off from it. He checked for himself and found it wasn't there. It was bad enough they didn't let him go outside, but to not even log off and leave? Now that's just messed up. This was reminding him of some show he watched, Log Horizon was it? Either way, it din't seem like he was going to get out of this palce so easily.
"First I would like to give everyone a gift, from me to you!" Well gifts were nice, maybe this was just a way to have fun and give the players a scare. Gigante looked into his inventory and found a mirror. He looked at the reflection and saw... his cloth over his face! Papa Gigante was amazed, so many games hide behind not having reflection by breaking the mirrors beforehand, this was a quite a treat.

"Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here." It seems like Papa Gigante was going to have some extra free time for a while. "This game is now about life or death! I will not give you a log out button and if you die in this game you will die in real life! This is not some easy push over game where if you make a mistake its not the end of the world. One mistake can cost you, or those around you, your lives. Don't go thinking someone will pull the helmet off of you either. After all I want to see if your strong enough to survive in this world, if you die of starvation in the real one I won't be able to test you very fully." Papa Gigante has done many no-death runs before, except this time the steaks were a little bit higher. "If you eat the in game food it will take away the feeling of hunger, just like eating real food. I suggest you stock up." Pedro's first thoughts were if he was going to have to hand make his favorite dishes. "You will be able to log out of the game once someone manages to defeat the final boss!" Papa Gigante knew that this was the way to become the legend, kill the boss, save everyone, instant fame. Maybe his character model will become exclusive after this.

Papa Gigante shrugged, this beat replaying his old games for better scores. Suddenly, his legs stopped working, his mind went blank, and he blacked out.

When they were teleported to the town square, and Naomi realized that there would be a speech, she scrambled between various people until she was standing next to some guy with the username 'DarkedgeLord'. She gave him a wide and excited smile. "Isn't this kick ass?!" She squealed, unable to stay still. When the man appeared on the stage, she leaned forward eagerly but somewhat resigned as well. Please don't be a GM. Please don't be a GM. She thought frantically. If he was a GM he might be here to install log in buttons and help them return to real life! But she didn't want to go back!

While she was worrying about what she would say to her mother when she was forced out of the game, she missed most of the beginning of the speech but tuned in when she heard the part about the present. She glanced around and saw people attaining other characteristics, she heard gasps of horror and gasps of delight. The man next to her turned out to be a young girl. Older than her obviously, but still.

Cirque had nothing to worry about though. During character creation she had tried to make her character look as much like her as possible. She bounced on the ball of her feet excitedly, as the man continued his speech.

"Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here." Cirque grinned back when the man smiled. So far so good, everything sounded awesome.

"This game is now about life or death! I will not give you a log out button and if you die in this game you will die in real life! Cirque froze. Wait a minute. Die? Like die die? Like dead? FOREVER?! "If you eat the in game food it will take away the feeling of hunger, just like eating real food. I suggest you stock up...You will be able to log out of the game once someone manages to defeat the final boss!" Cirque's excitement had evaporated. She was left staring after the man, her eyes unblinking with shock. This couldn't be happening right now! She didn't want to die! "Oh, and try not to die."
Suddenly, Cirque felt her knees grow weak and she swayed once before topping to the ground. The world went black around her.

Elsa Becker Moonlight
Her finger slowly moved across the leathery, hardback covers of the books in the library. The section she was in contained information which required a slightly higher intelligence stat to access, meaning it was completely void of people being so early in the game, except for her and a few players who had rushed levelling their intelligence, not doing anything else. They were somewhat common in all MMORPG's, people who only focused on one stat for the fun of it, or to show off in front of their friends. Elsa, however, had a more serious objective in mind. She had her mind set on completing this game, no matter what. Her finger stopped on a book of a white, slightly tarnished colour. She pulled it out. 'Basics of Enchanting' the title read. This would be a great way to go one step further in her training, and perhaps even gaining a new skill. She sat down next to one of the darkwood tables, and immersed herself in the book.

After a while, having completely forgotten the time, she noticed a blue circle around her. Strange, she couldn't remember this happening in the BETA version... It resembled the teleportation animation, but she hadn't used any spell, item, or in any was indicate that she wanted to teleport. Perhaps they reused the animation for levelling? As the 'forced teleportation' message popped up, she realized what was happening. The GM's were taking some sort of action.

With a brooding look on her face, she listened to the man speak. Her blood froze when he listed the conditions under which they had practically been taken hostage. Panic ensued, but Elsa tried her hardest to stay calm. She coughed, once, twice, and suddenly she fell unconcious to the ground.

Julie Yin

"Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here." As Julie panicked, she hit a person. The girl looked around to see a man, but not what she'd expect. It was nothing like her Chinese cartoons. This man was ugly- dreadfully so even. Then he spoke Chinese. Julie understood some of it, but alas couldn't respond properly. She could change her language settings, but she felt another presence behind her trying to acknoledge her and turned around, before looking back at the Admin as he spoke once more.
"This game is now about life or death! I will not give you a log out button and if you die in this game you will die in real life! This is not some easy push over game where if you make a mistake its not the end of the world. One mistake can cost you, or those around you, your lives. Julie fully expected such a thing to happen and this excited her. She ignored the two and balled her hands into fists. "Yes!" she squeaked. Julie covered her mouth, realizing once again there were people around her. "If you eat the in game food it will take away the feeling of hunger, just like eating real food. I suggest you stock up. You will be able to log out of the game once someone manages to defeat the final boss!" Being able to take down a final boss was also somewhat exciting to her. She dreamed of taking him on completely solo with all the super cool great sword skills that she used in the tutorial.

"Oh, and try not to die." The Admin finished. Julie literally jumped "Yeah!" as she heard that, then turned to the others. "I... uh..." she couldn't think. "Um... 没问题 (sorry)... oh..." she said with the power of all four years of her parents forcing her to learn Mandarin and all two years of her taking High School Chinese.

"Hey wait! Um... 对不起 (Excuse me)..." were the last few words she could say before blacking out.

Nikolaus was moving about the town, grandly going about the business of exploring this new world and town... when he was transported into the town square. Surrounded by a horde of other people, Nikolaus glanced around to see that, judging from the other players' reactions, they had not expected this either. A random event? Nikolaus thought to himself. That was before the man standing high upon the platform's voice echoed across the square.
"Welcome to Fortune Fantasy! I'm sure by now most of you have noticed the log out button is gone!" Nikolaus, hearing this, frowned. He had, in fact, not noticed that the log out button was gone. Not only did he not notice, he was rather upset that this man was breaking his character. This is an VMMORPG... a game meant for roleplayers! Nikolaus would not break his character. "First I would like to give everyone a gift, from me to you!" After a prompt "ding", Nikolaus had noticed an item in his inventory. A moment later, Nikolaus looked into a mirror to see himself -- not GoldenKing, but Nikolaus -- looking back. Nikolaus did nothing but frown, looking back up to the man. It appears this man is trying his absolute hardest to break my character... but woe, I will not be broken! "Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here. This game is now about life or death!"
Nikolaus scoffed at the man, shaking his head. A game? What does he think this is?! Nikolaus thought to himself. This is a game INTENDED to be lived in, not played in!

"I will not give you a log out button and if you die in this game you will die in real life! This is not some easy push over game where if you make a mistake its not the end of the world. Some people in the crowd were losing all their senses... crying, yelling, some even fighting. But Nikolaus did not - neigh, GoldenKing did not. He stared at the man who stood there now, his own eyes full of utter animosity for this man.
HOW DARE HE ATTEMPT TO BREAK MY CHARACTER! THE SERENITY THAT WAS THIS ROLEPLAYING ENVIRONMENT!, Golden King thought to himself. He shall never break my spirit... my will... my... CHARACTER! Of course, Golden King did think of the potential problems that he was cursed with. His weak, fleshy shell that was Nikolaus... it would probably be fine. Every night, his parents sent a maid in to ensure his well being. Why, he wouldn't be surprised if they already had him hooked up to his very own hospital bed!
No! Stop thinking that way, Golden King! You are no longer that person... you are... Alexander Davus, the Golden King of Fortune Fantasy!

And then he blacked out.

Arthur Westfield
Arthas

After having run around with the kids for awhile they got the message telling them to stand still becuse of the forced teleport, one of the younger kids was abit stubborn but after some convincing stood still. When they opened their eyes again they found themselves somewhere else than were they where before, standing inside of a large town square with a large number of people around them. The small group looked up and saw a man floating above a platform in the middle of the town square, the people around them silenced as the man spoke. "Welcome to Fortune Fantasy! I'm sure by now most of you have noticed the log out button is gone!" Hearing those words made Arthur and the kids confused, they had not noticed any such thing and the younger ones started to panick slightly saying that they wanted to wake up at home, but was silenced as the man gave each one of them a single mirror. After having taken said mirror out of their inventory they looked into it and found that they were looking at themselves and not at their characters. He turned to the others and noticed how much shorter they had gotten as they were now standing and looked like they did IRL, Arthur first now realised how young they were but before he was able to say anything he was once again cut of by said floating man.

"Now before you get mad at me for doing this to all of you I just want you to know I want to make this who ordeal as comfortable for you as possible. You are able to be yourselves during your stay here. This game is now about life or death! After all I want to see if your strong enough to survive in this world, if you die of starvation in the real one I won't be able to test you very fully. If you eat the in game food it will take away the feeling of hunger, just like eating real food. I suggest you stock up...You will be able to log out of the game once someone manages to defeat the final boss! Oh, and try not to die."

Arthurs eyes went wide, and in a matter of secounds he heard the crying coming from the younger kids with him. He went down on his kneees infront of them and pulled them into a hug, he spoke in a hushed tone as he tried to reasure them that everything was alright. But then everything went black as his parents must have gotten the news, and Arthur could only hope that he would see those kids in the future.

Leonard, or rather Leo Bravesoul which was his chosen username was slightly surprised as someone called out for him. "Roseheart" was the name that popped up in front of him. He tried to answer her, but flustered as he was he was only able to speak in short terms like "yes" or "no", looking down on the ground with an embarrassed look on his face. When the trade request box showed up, it only made him even more nervous at first, because he didn't really have anything to trade, but then he decided that this would be a good way to make some friends in the game. After all, he was going to be playing it for a while, and having connections was never bad. In fact, perhaps they could help each other out, withc clearing dungeons and such? Suddenly, as he reached his hand out to press 'accept', a blue ring and a 'forced teleportation' message surrounded him.

Leo was confused, and slightly disappointed, because he didn't know if he would be seeing Roseheart again. Once this was over she might find someone else to play with, and not want anything to do with him. These thoughts were running through his mind, so at first he didn't listen to what the man floating over the stage said, instead he just impatiently tapped his foot on the ground. But as the people around him gasped and panic began breaking lose, he looked up confusedly at the man, pointing his ears. A wave of schock washed over his face as he realized what was going on. They couldn't be trapped in here, could they!? Surely, there had to be a way out! He hyperventilated, grabbed his head, and crouched down on knees. But then he figured, maybe this was for the best? Maybe this would finally make his parents appreciate him, and heck, he might have a good time as well. His thoughts got clouded and his body grew limp, as he fell unconcious to the ground.

Silverfang
When he came back it only felt like mere seconds went by when in reality it was a few hours. He sat up and looked around seeing everyone else was just getting up. He had his theories about what had happened, it would be unfair if some players came back hours before others. The farm would be uneven and plenty of people would fall behind. So he supposed the server must have shut down until everyone was trying to reconnect again. He stood up and looked around. Everyone was a bit calmer now though there were still those who were crying in the corner and others who were arguing with each other. It all seemed so out of place honestly, he seemed out of place. While some people were crying and others were jumping for joy he was standing there expressionless just observing. He didn't know how he felt, angry, sad, happy? MMORPG's were new to him so based on lack of information he would stay neutral about all of this.

A ding sounded in his ear and he realized he received a PM from Rose, "Hay, where are you? Never mind just hurry up and meet me at the north gate. I invited someone named Leo Bravesoul to join us, hope you don't mind." He figured if Rose was going to invite someone to join them then she had her reasons. If he was going to survive he would have to learn about this game as fast as he could, but he also had to stay near Rose. They would be able to watch each others backs. Quickly he managed to stand up and ran off in the direction of the north gate. He didn't know Leo and he didn't know if Rose knew him either but he wasn't sure about teaming up with other people. She knew he wasn't great with new people but maybe they needed more people to travel with them? Could possibly be 'safety in number'... not possibly, he knew there were safety in numbers. What other reason could she have?

He made his way to the north gate just as soon as Rose did and he looked around for Leo. "Is he coming?" He asked not really sure if whoever she invited was even going to show up. "Did he respond to the PM?" He continued to question. "I'm sure he is coming." Was her response but she didn't sound very convincing. "Who is this guy anyways? Why do you want to party with him so bad?" She looked down with an expression he wasn't able to describe. It was a strange mixture of sadness and deturmination... "I'm a BETA tester and both of you are just starting out. He doesn't even have gear and if I left him behind that would just be cruel." She looked up at him now, "I can take two people with me. At least then I would feel like I made a difference. I helped out two people, and though the ratio is 1 BETA to every ten players I at least was able to help two."

He looked down, now he understood. She felt responsible to help people in this game considering she was ahead of most players already. "I understand, I won't object to you helping others." He said scratching the back of his neck slightly before looking out at the field already covered by EXP hungry players. For a moment, looking at everyone fighting for their lives, he wondered how many of them would survive this game... and for those that did, what would become of them? Many of them were in high school and college, would they have to start their year all over again? He had a feeling they would be fairly far behind. After all, from what he heard, it took the BETA's a full three weeks just to pass the first level. How long would it take them to pass the harder levels? How many years would they be trapped in this game? His heart started to race with these thoughts and he ended up shaking them from his head. That was no way to think right now. He needed to get out of this game.

Leo finally showed up and he sorta just looked down, avoiding eye contact. Rose seemed much happier about him showing up than Silver did. "Hay!" said Rose, "I was worried you weren't going to show up. Lets finish our trade, don't worry I will give all of it to you for free." She said sending him a trade request. He watched as she moved items from her inventory. From what knowledge he had already gathered about item values she sure was giving him some expensive items. Honestly with the money he got in the beginning he wouldn't have been able to buy everything she gave this random. "I guess we should be ready to head out now..." he said turning to the player crowded field, "Follow me!" Rose call out running out ahead of them, "I know a bunch of good area's for us to farm. It shouldn't be as crowded as this place." He didn't question it, instead he just quickly followed her. He heard a ding in his ear and opened up the menu while he ran. It seemed that she was forming a party... Of course he accepted.

Roseheart
She woke up still half in a panic. For a little while she just sat where she was, head buried into her knees, knees pressed up against her chest, hair draped around her face. This was upsetting, what was Silver going to say to her when he see's her next? For a moment she just decided she would team up with Leo and leave Silver to his own devices. It would be the easiest way to avoid find out what he thought of her... but she couldn't. What if he decided to go out alone and got himself kill? What if he fell into a trap with other players his level and ended up dead? She couldn't let her friend die... "Hay, where are you? Never mind, just hurry up and meet me at the north gate. I invited someone named Leo Bravesoul to join us, hope you don't mind." She said through PM before messaging Leo something as well, "Hay! Lets team up. I really don't want to die so having people party with me is the safest way to go... right? Meet me at the north gate. I have items for you so don't bother wasting you money on that. Get some skills around the town and use this if you don't know what skills to get, [player guide]."

With that she took off, heading to the north gate only to find she was the first one to show up. Neither of them messaged her back so she had no idea if they were even planning on- "Is he coming?" Silver?! She whirled around happy to see her friend. He didn't look upset which was good. He seemed to not even be fazed by what was going on, which forced her to put on a brave face as well. "Did he respond to the PM?" "I'm sure he is coming." "Who is this guy anyways? Why do you want to party with him so bad?" At first she wasn't sure, why did she want to party with him? After a second or so of looking down at her feet she came up with a response, "I'm a BETA tester and both of you are just starting out. He doesn't even have gear and if I left him behind that would just be cruel." She finally managed to meet his eyes, "I can take two people with me. At least then I would feel like I made a difference. I helped out two people, and though the ratio is 1 BETA to every ten players I at least was able to help two."

Honestly she surprised herself. She didn't expect that to come out of her mouth at all but it did... and she sounded really cool saying it! She was on fire now, ready to meet any challenge on this level. She could do anything! This wouldn't be as much of a problem as she thought! Of course she was only telling herself this to keep her spirits up. If she could actually survive this she didn't know. At any rate Leo showed up right around that moment and she smiled, "Hay! I was worried you weren't going to show up. Lets finish our trade, don't worry I will give all of it to you for free." She smiled and gave him some of the best items he would be able to find on the first floor. None of the items were considered rare items but never the less they were still powerful. She accepted it and looked towards Leo to see if he would accept her gift. "Don't worry, I can't use these items anyways." She said trying to convince him to hit accept. "They would do you a lot better than me."

"I guess we should be ready to head out now..." She thought for a moment before jumping a little and dashing off to the gate. She remembered an area she had stumbled upon. It had a good spawn rate and a decent amount of boars. To them it shouldn't be a problem at all. "Follow me! I know a bunch of good area's for us to farm. It shouldn't be as crowded as this place." She called back to them not bothering to wait up. She giggled a little as she looked back. Silver seemed to have been surprised at this sudden outburst.
