Physical Description

Lottie is quite small in stature, both by human and vampire standards. Due to her vampiric ancestry, stemming from her father's side, her complexion is a pale white, akin to that of a porcelain doll. She gets her long, curly blonde hair from her mother, though it's platinum in shade because of her dhampiric nature. She tends to prefer to leave her hair down, as it is one of her most treasured assets. Her deep red eyes make for a stark contrast against her paler features, tending to stand out even more in the dark of the night. Being a dhampir, Lottie's fangs aren't as long as that of her pure-blooded ancestors. Though no longer of noble status, the young miss still acts and dresses as such. Oftentimes, she can be seen wearing more gothic lolita-type garb. Lottie tries to avoid wearing white whenever possible as she feels it blends into her pale features and makes her look sickly.

With her small, petite figure, what she lacks in strength, she makes up for with speed, agility, and intellect. Though, she isn't as weak as she appears either. When Lottie has properly fed, her strength is equivalent to that of an average, adult male human. Although Lottie hates getting her hands dirty, if ever it's called for, she doesn't just use her fangs to feed but also wields them as a natural weapon. However, the little miss tends to keep her fangs hidden from view, to prevent stirring up trouble with the human population.

Other Attributes

While Lottie is capable of eating food, it is blood that truly sustains her. Her species tend to feed every few months, some needing to do so more frequently. The longest dhampirs can go without blood is six months before death sets in. Though Lottie is more sensitive to the sun than other dhampirs, without properly feeding, she is more susceptible to burning or growing sick. The longer she goes without feeding, the weaker she becomes. Eventually, dhampirs will become bedridden, presenting with fever-like symptoms until they are forced into a feeding frenzy or die. Because of the sun, Lottie tends to sleep during the day and travel by night. While the sun is not an immediate harm to her, it does make her physically sluggish and more susceptible to exhaustion. If she must travel by day, Lottie shields herself under her parasol, which doubles as a spiked shield.

Weapon Proficiency

Lottie's primary weapon of choice is her rapier, being a family heirloom passed down to her by her father. Only one hand is needed to wield it. The young woman cherishes this sword deeply, doing to great lengths to care for it and keep it in shape. During combat, she takes a fencing stance.

Lottie owns a spiked shield disguised as a parasol. Both forms are functional. Due to its weight, two hands are needed to wield it. Though useful, upkeep is often needed. After its use as a shield, the fabric tends to need to be replaced. In combat, she relies more on her rapier than her shield. It can withstand a great number of heavy blows and bullets before the metal needs to be replaced.
The book of necromancy left behind by her father is her second primary weapon of choice. From it, she can do rituals or cast spells that raise the undead to do her bidding and more. When it comes to rituals, Lottie needs the necessary resources and time to cast them. From one of the rituals, she has a risen undead skeleton that she has tethered to herself. Lottie calls this skeleton Marrow and uses it as an aid in battle or a servant to tend to her basic needs. She can cast time-limited spells on the creature that can allow her to do numerous things, such as see through Marrow's eyes. Marrow is her only companion.

Background

Lottie was born with a wealthy status, being the sole daughter of a dutchess. The town they live in isn't large, but it certainly isn't small either. The people of this town are quite conservative and are ruled heavily by the church. And while the higher class does hold some power over the people, the church is what governs them all. Due to the beliefs of both church and people, the union between Lottie's mother and father was seen as sinful and corrupt. Because Lottie's father was a vampire, their relationship was equated with devil worship. It was for this reason, to protect both his wife and newborn daughter, that he made the difficult decision to leave, keeping a few of his belongings behind should they prove useful in the future. Without any explanation, he disappeared without a trace. And while this did indeed provided the now single parent and infant some relief, it failed to quell the hatred from the masses. The evidence of their love remained in the form of Lottie.

Her mother's parents were greatly displeased by this. It was, after all, Lottie's father that bewitched their daughter into eloping with him. This alone was enough to tarnish the family name, but once Lottie was born, their name was dragged through the mud. Her mother's parents certainly played a part in removing the father from the picture, unbeknownst to them. Along with the pressure of the church and townspeople, her mother's parents gave Lottie's mother an ultimatum. Either they disown her and strip her of allowance to fend for themselves with the money they have, or their daughter could disown Lottie and move back with them to start anew.

Of course, Lottie's mother chose her child. They were already abandoned by the father, and her mother was not going to do the same to Lottie. And so suffer they did, for years. Lottie and her mother still had more than enough to comfortably get by. Though as Lottie grew older and her more vampiric traits became more evident, the harassment ensued. Her mother tried to shelter her from it all but it was of no use. By the time Lottie was five, the harassment she received was no longer verbal. And being a child, Lottie simply couldn't comprehend why that was. The treatment she faced broke her mother's heart.

The town's church wielded too much authority and power, which they used to their advantage. Their corruption was prominent yet well hidden. They laundered money and also took part in slave trading and prostitution, under the guise of also being an orphanage and safe house. Of course, no one but the church and its victims were aware of the dark secrets they hid. One faithful day, a boy met a girl in need of aid. Lottie once again was being physically assaulted by a small group of boys around the same age as her. But this time, it was much more than pushing and hitting. This time, they were set on "fixing" her. In their eyes, it was quite the favor. They were being generous. They had heard talk around town about how Lottie was a monster, the very spawn of Satan. With Lottie pinned to the ground, and the public turning a blind eye, the ring leader of the boys, sat atop her stomach, with a rock in hand. He would do her the courtesy of knocking her fangs out.

It was one of the many orphaned children of the church, that took a stand to put a stop to it. Upon chasing the boys off, with a little struggle, the child aided Lottie to her feet, unaware why the people acted as they did, or perhaps just not caring. Either way, for Lottie, that was enough. It was the first kind hand, besides that of her mother's, that was extended to her, expecting nothing in return. She learned that the boy's name was Raphael Olinoux. After that faithful day, a couple of years pass and their friendship grew.

As their relationship grew closer, so did their awareness of the hatred and corruption that plagued the church and the town's citizens. There was never a day where they weren't battered or bruised by others, or uncovering something they should never have seen. Eventually, the priest of the church revealed to the boy that sometime soon, his last day would come and he would be "adopted" out. Even he knew that that was a lie. Raphael was both witness and victim to the crimes they committed, after all. And he just so happened to be the priest's favorite. He was finally going to be sold, or worse, killed. It was for this reason that Raphael finally confessed what was happening both to him and others like him in the church, to Lottie. It wasn't like anyone else would believe him. And if someone were to overhear him, the church would make sure that those were the last words that the boy would ever speak. Though, it didn't matter now. If Raphael didn't act carefully, he would be dead either way. It wasn't like she could stay in this town any longer either. Day by day, it was getting more dangerous for her as well. Together, they devised a plan that would save themselves.

They were quite bright for their age, Raphael, even more so. Lottie wrote a farewell letter to her mother. She was sure that, with her name on it, the letter wouldn't be lost in the pile of letters that wished for her and her mother's death. It explained the situation, their plan, and instructions to properly expose of the letter, as well as instructions on what Lottie's mother was to do next. In the letter, Lottie asked her mother to disown her, so that she may finally seek refuge back at her parents' home. That was the only way to ensure her mother's safety. The letter went on to explain that under no circumstances, was she to leave her home at night, on a set date. That was when their call to action would begin. Lottie, in the letter, went on to explain that she would be faking her death. And that this letter must immediately be burned after reading.

Knowing what must be done, for both her and her daughter's safety, she complied with teary eyes. Her mother could only wish that she could have done something more. That was why she set aside a pouch containing a hefty sum of money, as well as a clue on where Lottie could possibly find her father. She just hoped that perhaps he would be willing to aid Lottie in the future, should she find him. On the night of the designated date, Lottie took what her mother provided, a rapier, as well as a couple of books that her father had left behind (one of which was of necromancy), and went to meet up with Raphael. Tonight would be the night that they earned their freedom to truly exist and live in this world.

Together, the two set fire to the church, making sure that there were no witnesses, and that those who remained in the church were trapped inside. The agonizing screams of pain from both victims and perpetrators haunted her, but Raphael reveled in it. No longer would they be able to torment him. He took delight in watching the priest burn alive from one of the church's windows. By the time the townfolk took notice of the raging fire that swallowed the church, it was too late. The ones responsible were nowhere to be found. And of those that were inside, there was only one sole survivor, who wasn't without horrific burns.

After leaving town, the two set off to find Lottie's father. As they grew older, their relationship grew even closer. They were both guardians, protectors, friends, and lovers to one another. Nothing was going to stop them or get in their way. But... things change. Raphael changed. What once was a sweet kind-hearted boy, was now manipulative and controlling. He was her very antithesis, and Lottie didn't even realize it until it was too late. Their relationship began to grow more toxic with time. And yet, they were codependent on one another, unable to live without the other at their side. That was exactly what Raphael wanted. Raphael's love for Lottie turned into pure obsession. And Lottie's love for him turned into contempt. Years passed in this bitter-sweet turmoil.

Upon realizing just how bad things had gotten between the two of them, Lottie made a plan, this time without him. Eventually, without a word, Lottie would flee without a trace. She now wanders alone, with her only friend Marrow to continue the search for her father.

Basic Info

Name: Aeirith Valentine

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Race: Dhampir

Height: 5'3

Weight: 100 lbs

Occupation: Warlock

Original Image- 괴물 황녀님

Physical Description

Aeirith tends to keep her straight blonde hair short, as she finds short hair to be much more manageable. Unlike other dhampires or vampires, Aeirith's appearance remains relatively the same as when she was human, right down to her bright green eyes. The only difference being her fangs. Although Aeirith was once of nobility, she cares not for her appearance, at least not anymore. She is tall and thin, yet quick and agile. The young woman has always been quite chipper and is more than capable of getting her hands dirty. In fact, at times, she is all too eager to do so. Whether it's blood or dirt, her hands and clothes will more often than not, be covered in it. This habit of hers makes for a stark contrast with the elegant and regal air she has about her.

Other Attributes

While the sun doesn't bother her like her fellow counterparts, Aeirith's newfound thirst for blood seems unquenchable, and therefore finds herself having to feed often. Though her main sensitivities lie in the form of holy or divine energy.

Weapon Proficiency

The only weapon Aeirith has proficiency in is a dagger, which she only uses as a last resort. She always keeps it pristine, hidden, and on her at all times, should an emergency arise.

The same could be said about her grimoire, gifted onto her by a mysterious divine entity she has made a pact with. Aeirith is never without it. It is what properly allows her to channel her magic to cast spells. If ever her grimoire were to get destroyed her misplaced, Aeirith would have to perform a ritual to get it back. With the necessary items to perform the ritual, it only takes a few hours.

Background

Aeirith comes from a noble family, being the daughter of a duke and dutchess. She always knew how to hold herself and how to act in certain situations. Aeirith never spoke unless spoken to, and was quite skilled at quelling verbal conflict. She was often praised for her beauty and intellect. The people regarded her highly. In her spare time, the young woman liked to read and socialize. When she wasn't, she could usually be found at her father's side, helping him with important political matters.

One such matter happened to be in regard to the discourse between their house and house Grandmore. Despite being a much smaller house, their power was equivalent to theirs, if not a little more superior. It was only when Aeirith was tasked with keeping an eye on the Grandmore's that she met their son, face to face, during a social event. And against her better judgment, she couldn't help but fall for him.

At first, it was unrequited. As time passed, the two grew closer and it seemed the son of Grandmore would grow to return her feelings. The public thought this to just be a publicity stunt to showcase a potential unity between the warring houses. And the head of both houses thought their union to be just that. When it was revealed that the relationship was born of something more genuine, both parties grew a bit dismayed, but by that time, there was nothing that either of them could really do. The public opinion had shifted into something more positive, one in support of the relationship between the daughter of the Valentine's and the son of the Grandmore's. Any action that could possibly be taken against the two, would be seen as a treasonous act that could potentially start a war.

Eventually, talk of marriage started to arise. It was only a matter of time before the 'perfect' couple got engaged. Yet, instead of getting married before the church, the son of Grandmore convinced Aeirith to elope with him. Without any prior warning, the two fled far from their respective homes. Everything seemed perfectly fine at first. Yet this was one of many choices that Aeirith would soon come to regret.

With each passing day, her lover grew increasingly different and more suspicious. He would be gone for many days and return without uttering a single word. The two would converse less and less. In fact, Aeirith was certain that any interaction he had to make with her, he thought it to be a chore. It wasn't until far too late, that the truth was revealed. As Aeirith lay there dying, by the hands of the one she once called husband, was the revelation made. She was betrayed. All of it was revealed to be a ruse; nothing more than a plot to achieve the very thing that he had strived for in the beginning. That very thing was power. Now that the two were married, he had access to her family's wealth and connections. The man seemed to revel in her utter despair, right before her demise. Ans standing at his side was another woman, the one his heart truly belonged to. Made to look like a tragic accident, no one would be the wiser on how Aeirith truly came to die.

Except. . . Aeirith wasn't out of the running on what had taken place that day. By some mysterious divine intervention, the girl was very much alive, well, as much as she could be. When she awoke, she had found that she had changed. Aeirith was no longer human, but an undead, a dhampir. To sustain this unnatural second life, she found that she constantly had to search for blood. Yet, the only blood that she truly wanted was from the one that betrayed her. The daughter of the Valentines cared not how she was revived. The only truth she held dear was the fact that she would use this newfound life of hers to end his. And with the help of her mysterious patron, she swore to do just that.

Elvidius
Summary

The world takes place far into a dystopian, fantasy future. Mankind had failed to take the necessary precautions regarding the welfare and preservations of Earth and its creatures. And by the time the government took action, it was far too late to reverse the effects of pollution and animal endangerment. By that point, smog was prominent, the majority of the water, filled with pollutants and trash. Many of the plants and animals had become extinct. A lot of the human population in lower-income neighborhoods and slums perished alongside them. Everyone was suffering.

While they couldn't reverse the negative effects of their carelessness, those in power and in wealth devised a plan to divide themselves from the "lesser" and rid themselves of the current problem at hand. With great work, they had created a new world that, quite literally, rose above it all, above the smog, and the filth thanks to the newly discovered form of human-made energy. This new form of energy was called Blue Magic (1). With it, they created new technology that was far more advanced than what they could ever hope to create.

It was what allowed them to create a "secondary earth", a land that floated above it all, only anchored down by large chains. Gears rotated around a large sphere of blue magic which gave the large land its weightlessness. This landmass is separated by various man-made levitating islands, of varying sizes, which are connected to each other by a system of bridges. Large, winged blimps act as a common form of transportation besides walking. It was a city that was a replication of their former life "made better". Large buildings of bronze, brass and ivory-colored material stood tall. Its buildings are modeled after older European architecture. The New World (2) was the start of another chance at life.

Blue Magic

Blue Magic (1)
A form of energy created by man. In its basic form, it takes on the appearance of a floating mint-colored, wisp-like orb. In its basic state, it is quite cold, similar to that of dry ice, and must therefore be handled with care. It is quite malleable and multifunctional. As is, it can be used to power objects such as gears, and create motion without the exertion of man.
The New World (2)
A term used to refer to the floating landmasses, including Heaven (3) and The Isles (4).

Heaven (3)
A state in The New World, consisting of the larger floating body of land. It contains the capital of The New World and houses the majority of its population.

The Isles (4)
A collection of smaller levitating lands in The New World. The Isles act as the second state. They are located just off of Heaven, spanning from its North to its East.
