    So you want to hear about the Queen of Chaos, huh? Pass me one of those cigarettes and get comfortable. It's a real bitch of a story.
    That girl was the daughter of the prestigious Kremónt family, so I suppose you could say that Miranda first saw the world through the lens of Julian aristocracy. Came from a prodigal ivory tower, you know? Anyways, any outsider would have probably assumed that Miranda's life had been destined to be one of comfort and luxury. So Miranda first discovered her unnatural gift during the early years of her life, when her parents had her pick up the violin for the first time. I've heard that the young girl breathed life into the instrument at first touch, able to feel the tremors of her strings as if they were her own heartbeat. Yeah, sounded like a load of bullshit to me too. But let me finish, asshole.

    So like good-ass parents, her mom and 'pop threw copious amounts of money to the best musical instructors in Julés. "We will make you famous," her parents would constantly say, rigorously grooming their daughter to become a celebrity while somehow ignoring the compassion and love she so desperately desired. Poor bitch, if you ask me. So basically the future Queen of Chaos grew up alone, her cold parents and instructors serving as a constant reminder that the violin would be her only companion in life. At least, that's how the story goes.

    Perhaps that was the only thing that Miranda needed... a friend. Hell if I know, though, d
    o I look like a fuckin' psychologist to you?

    So as expected of a child prodigy, Miranda blossomed into the lovely little violinist they wanted so badly. They say at the age of thirteen, Miranda had become the First Chair of Julés, the most prestigious position a violinist of the Five Cities could possibly hold. It was a feat thought impossible for a girl her age, but for Miranda... it had been expected. While she had quickly transcended to the status of a celebrity, she felt more like a porcelain marionette - a figurine groomed and showed off to large crowds of aristocrats. She was a thing to look at, a freak devoid of emotions. I mean, think about it, girl always looked like a goddamn robot.

    I guess as her fame continued to grow, so too did the desire for others to exploit her. Bitch finally found her first friend in the form of a brilliant conductor. Dude was young and handsome, popular with the girls, you know? Oliver Charlotte seemed like the perfect fit for that lonely, shooting star. Poor girl had fallen in love so quickly... so desperately, a naive girl just shy of sixteen had been entranced by that boy's charm.

    Perhaps her story would have ended there... no, it should have ended there. The sad tale of a helpless, melancholic young girl searching for love and acceptance ending in blissful love. They should have lived happily ever after... that girl deserved that much, if you ask me. She was a shooting star, just a broken heart, a marionette held together by tragedy. Damn, am I a fucking poet or what?

    Unfortunately, Oliver was not the kind Prince she had searched for. Actually, he was a huge asshole. The dude was fucked up, loved beating her and stuff, you know? Handsome and charismatic sure, but a real douche if you ask me. They say he beat her over the stupidest things, who knows. Anyways, her relationship had once been the talk of Julés, the latest celebrity gossip that would forever taint her reputation. I remember the one time I saw her she was at a concert with a black eye and a wounded lip. Man, that was the most awkward concert I've ever been to. I heard right after the concert that Miranda's parents, gave the girl an ultimatum: leave Oliver or be disowned.

    Of course, the stupid, young girl had picked the wrong option. She had thoroughly convinced herself that she loved Oliver. No, what she truly loved was the idea, of Oliver. A handsome, young man who could finally understand her, a man that could treasure her for the human being that she was. She wanted a person who could see her as a person... not a marionette. After moving in with Oliver, the beating became more and more violent. It wasn't long until her scandalous relationship had caused Miranda to lose her position as First Chair of Julés, a position that had meant everything to her. Poor girl, I don't know what those prissy assholes were thinking when they made a move like that. Did they think it would help her?

    "A woman who
    cannot represent the values of Julés cannot be First Chair." They told her, not realizing the weight these words truly held. I mean, imagine living your entire life to play a goddamn violin and then not being allowed to do that. It's probably worse than getting cock-blocked at a party... probably.

    Anyways, Miranda's life would change completely. Upon hearing the news, Oliver would beat her more violently than ever. She had lost everything. Her family's fortune... and now her fame. "You stupid bitch!" He would say, as he struck her. "You're worthless to me now!" He reminded her. Despite her begging and pleading for a second chance to make things right, Oliver would force her backwards against the hard floor. Of course, a woman who had lost everything only had one thing left to give...

    Nobody knows what happened next, only that my boys showed up the next morning to find a nearly unrecognizable corpse. The dude got fucking eviscerated, sliced in two like a damn hacksaw. I swear to God it was the bloodiest crime scene I had ever seen. Anyways Miranda Kremónt was nowhere to be found. I guess you could say that little shooting star died with Oliver that day...

    Who fuckin' knows. Like they say, [glow=red]Payback[/glow] is a bitch and her stripper name is [glow=red]Karma[/glow].

    What we do know however, was that a trail of bodies came shortly after. Each one as bloody as the next. Scary shit, looked like something out of a horror film. But that's not the interesting part, the interesting part was that she only killed rapists at first... then moved on to murderers. She killed some fucked up people, to be quite honest with you. One of the victims was a dude I arrested a few years back. Freak had gotten away scott-free after murdering twenty something escorts. Next thing you know, he's the one in a body bag. I have no idea how she does it, but damn, does she really fuck them up.

    The people started callin' her The Queen of Chaos after that. One hell of a title if you ask me. The girl herself goes by RESØNANCE, though none of us are really sure why. Probably has something to do with how she kills her victims, or maybe it's violin-related. I can't play the violin for shit, you see. Officer Marty has a $200 bet on the latter. As if any of us will ever figure it out.

    Oh yeah. Almost forgot. I heard that the organized crime groups in Julés were shitting themselves over this girl for awhile. Apparently the idiots sent a bunch of assassins and hired guns to clock her, but the only thing they'd get back were their heads in a box. The Stone Cold Bitch always had a deranged sense of humor. Don't ask me if it's true though. We don't really do much in this Department.

    Anyways, that's all I know. I'm sure you know more than I do - but hey, if you see her, tell her I'm writing a book about her. I'm sure she'd get one hell of a kick out of that.

    Acoustokinesis (Sound Manipulation)
    ━ Miranda's gift comes in the form of a complex acoustokinesis: the ability to manipulate sound and its sound waves. By focusing on the reverberations of a single string, she can capture the vibratory motion and amplify its tremors into powerful abilities by passing the tremors onto external wavelengths. In more colloquial terms, with the single pluck of a string, she harnesses the potential to cleave a man in two or negate an attack with a powerful, sound based shield.

    Miranda's RESØNANCE maintains a complexity that transcends that of an offensive role. By manipulating tone and the movement of string, she can do surprisingly more than kill.

    The Warrior Concerto (Offensive)

    ━ The most widely used element of Miranda's gift, Concerto is the basis for all of RESØNANCE's power. By playing a musical note, Miranda controls the reverberation of the strings to manipulate the sound into a powerful strike. Akin to a silent wind, her strikes are similar to an invisible sword, shattering those who dare stand against the Queen of Chaos. Through physical control of tone, depth, technique and volume, Miranda can control the lethality and strength of her blows. At maximum strength, using a full size double bass, Miranda can slice a military tank into two. With a violin, she has the potential to cleave through an average sized car.

    By understanding the physics behind Concerto, Miranda can manipulate its existence into a variety of other tools, such as a shield or non lethal skills.

    Däempfer (Defensive)
    ━ The German word for mute, Däempfer exists between the quick alternation between a static note and a changing note, which when struck, emanates a powerful, corporeal barrier in a concentrated sphere around her. Similar to a helicopter's propeller, the manifested sounds move at an incredible velocity, giving the appearance of an impregnable barrier. In reality however, it is a series of slashes that surround and attempt to eviscerate projectiles or enemies that draw near. A person who could slow down time or predict the movement of the slashes could, theoretically, shoot through the barrier. Though this would be a superhuman feat in of itself.

    The size of her Däempfer is directly correlated to the amount of sound produced. At maximum, Däempfer can cover an entire SUV. At the minimum, Miranda can produce a shield the size of a keyboard. Miranda has found it difficult to produce a reliable Däempfer with anything smaller than a full-size violin.

    Artificial Harmonics (Support)
    ━ By touching the open string very lightly at various points across the violin's bridge, Miranda can manipulate the clear, harmonic octave to amplify a non-lethal tremor. This high octave tremor can then be manipulated to fulfill a variety of uses. Pushing allies out of danger, speeding them up or thrusting herself out of harm's way. Artificial Harmonics can even be used to accelerate an ally's projectile or weapon swing, if necessary. The limits to Miranda's use of Artificial Harmonics are limited only by her understanding of RESØNANCE's physics and her own creativity.



    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift

    [glow=red]Requires String Instrument (Violin)[/glow]
    ━ Miranda's RESØNANCE requires a string instrument to function. While not necessarily requiring a violin, a cello just didn't seem as practical. If the situation calls for it, the violinist can sow chaos from any string instrument, able to wield a weaker version of her powers through even a makeshift or homemade instrument (think of these as like a prison shank, while her violin is her sword. A cello would be like a rocket launcher... powerful but impractical.)

    A tissue box and string, for example, produces a far weaker noise than that of a classical violin. Additionally, electronic amplification (electric guitars or violins) do not amplify her powers, as her power is directly linked to the reverberations of her strings.

    Taking such rules into account, Miranda must perfectly calculate her attacks to ensure some modicum of control. Trial and error can work too, though.

    She once killed three men in a bar with a string. With a fucking string.

    [glow=red]The Strings of War[/glow]
    ━ Miranda's gift is something that is easy to understand, but nearly impossible to master. Wielding her power takes great focus and determination, the tremors of her violin acting like a beast that must be thoroughly kept in check. Under stress, lacking determination or focus, Miranda's ability to control her own gift falls apart. The Concerto becomes violent, unable to distinguish friend from foe, master from target.

    It should be noted that she can only manipulate the reverberation of her own strings. Another person cannot play the music for her, for example.

    [glow=red]The Queen of Chaos[/glow]
    ━ RESØNANCE is a highly volatile skill, capable of copious amounts of destruction. While Miranda handles it with finesse and grace, it is inherently highly destructive and has the potential to cause unforeseen collateral damage. As such, its use in crowded areas or small spaces is not recommended - with Miranda preferring spacious areas to use it to its full potential.

It should be noted that if her attitude does not change, the precinct recommends elimination after the operation. Her very existence provides a great threat to the regional status quo.

    Jonah or Reverend was born and raised in Ambrosia. He was born to a grifter and an exotic dancer. He never knew anything other than the hustle and bustle of Ambrosia. He learned from his father how to grift and fight. He learned how to seduce and take advantage of people from his mother. He was on his way to become another piece of human garbage that lived in Ambrosia. He was also blessed with a gift, the gift of Materialization. His father taught him how to materialize plenty of precious stones and Metals in order to keep their family in riches.

    One day his father didn't come home from a job, he had taken a large bag with him the night before. A few days had passed and some men appeared at his home demanding retribution for the swindle they were subjected to. Thats when they realized the father had pulled the ultimate grift, leaving his family to take the heat for his doings. They ravaged his mother while he watched demanding to take all of their losses from her flesh. When they were satisfied they took everything and set the house on fire. Jonah tried to save his mother but she didnt have the spirit to go on, he watched his childhood home burn to the ground with his mother inside.

    After wandering the streets for days he collapsed in the gutter near an abandoned church. When he woke up he was inside the church, a priest knelt beside him offering him food and shelter. Jonah cried for the first time in days, he told the priest everything. The priest smiled and read from his bible citing verses that made Jonah calm. He decided then and there that this city needed salvation. He clung to the good book and did everything in his power to become a priest.

    On the day he was to become a father he left Ambrosia to take his final vows. While Jonah was away a fight broke out between the local gangs. The father saw that innocent people were being killed in their crossfire and left the safety of the church. He pleaded with the gangs to please stop this senseless violence. He was met with extreme aggression and beaten savagly. When Jonah returned he found the father bloodied and hanging from a tree in the courtyard, the church burnt to the ground. Jonah finally realized their is no saving this town, there is only cleansing. Like the archangel Michael he hit the street striking down murders, thieves, sinners.

    Jonah later left Ambrosia for a while gaining skills necessary to cleanse the city of Sinners. He learned to handle firearms, knives, he learned how to kill people using his own body. He became a Mercenary, a very high level one gaining fame as the infamous Reverend. The man known to kill sinners as soon as he sets his eyes on them and Damn in their souls to hell. He was later approached to return to Ambrosia and finish what he had started. He agreed and along with his partner continue to fight sin in Hell.

If he wanted to create a gun he would use the iron in his blood to create the weapon and a mixture of sulfer, salt peter and other trace elements found in the human body to create bullets.

    Vale has a very signature look about them, his impressive height being but one of the few features that makes Vale naturally stand out in a crowd.

    From his remarkably pale skin, his highly maintained creamy-white hair, to his sharp and feminine facial features - particularly his bright grey eyes - it'd be hard to mix him up with anyone else.
    He also walks in a somewhat peculiar manner, lightly swaying his hips from side to side as he does so, and he usually puts both hands on his hips when in thought or standing still.

    One who is observant might also notice that his left hand is artificial, and his pearly-white teeth are somewhat sharp when he grins or bares his teeth.

    Vale has always been a man with a vision. A man who wishes to see a change. And ultimately, he wishes to 'purify' the cities that are slowly rotting to the core, to make it a better place for everyone. When it comes to what he does, even if people think his methods a gruesome and unethical, he's very ambitious, and is desperate for the world to turn around, uncaring if he looks like a hero or a villain in the process.

    Vale can sometimes be hard to work with due to his many... eccentric features and views, but for the most part, if you can get past the fact that he thinks of himself as some sort of 'chosen one' or 'demigod' due to his gift, he's actually surprisingly nice to be around, and is actually very good at working with and getting along with others.

    He carries himself and his voice in a very elegant and refined manner, and can sometimes be rather flamboyant (usually unnecessarily so, from hair twirls to strange poses) which makes him rather easy to mock. He considers himself a bit of a 'ladies man', even if this is far from the truth, and has a clear weakness for fine women, often stumbling his words and acting oddly 'sweet' and 'caring' when around one he doesn't consider to be a total bitch.

    Whilst he likes to give people a chance before judging them, he often mocks and/or avoids those who don't open up to people, aren't very creative or intelligent, or people who simply just do things for 'money' with no actual, ultimate goal.

    When things weren't so complicated, Vale used to live a comfortable life, with living parents, and more riches and money than he knew what to do with. A private education and a natural creativity quickly revealed that Vale had a natural knack and interest for all sciences - particularly biology - and he was quick to excel in most of his exams, ready to ignore the life of crime around him and work as a researcher.

    Despite having parents with a 'gift', Vale was 17, and still had no idea what his gift even was - if he even had one. It was a sheer coincidence when he accidentally sliced his finger in a biology study with a scalpel that led to a somewhat horrifying - but fascinating - chain of events that allowed Vale to slowly and surely discover his gift that he soon dubbed [glow=cyan]' F . A . E '[/glow] .

    As he discovered his newfound abilities, both Vale and fellow scientists around him began to realize the potential of his gift. Almost instantly, Vale wished to push the limits and experiment as much as he could with his power. He tried all sorts of crazy things on himself, purchasing all sorts of exotic animals to test the effects of their D.N.A, but after losing his left hand in a freak accident, he realized he needed 'test subjects'. As one would expect, however, nobody was willing to do so, and such methods of human experimentation was deemed 'illegal'.

    Regardless, many of the big scientific names in Julés wished to explore the limits of Vale's gift as much as he did, and the young man's name quickly began to grow somewhat famous through the city. The money he earned as a byproduct was just another bonus. His fame and riches, however, was something that grew more of a curse than a blessing as the rates of crime grew worse and worse. Because of his fame, Vale has been kidnapped and held for ransom multiple times, commonly mistreated, beaten, and even sexually abused on one occasion in the process. Slowly, Vale grew to despise the waves of crime that spread through Julés. And for a few years, with security becoming more and more weak, Vale lived in fear.

    Eventually, things got to a point where Vale was willing to do anything to make the kidnappings stop. He turned away from the law, and used his riches to obtain hired hands to track down and capture some of the gang members. Blinded by anger, vengeance, and a thirst for progress, Vale also demanded for these criminals to be delivered to him.

    Vale eventually began to get a steady supply of 'unwilling' test subjects, most of his experiments going horribly wrong, causing grizzly deaths and leaving behind unrecognizable, tumour-covered messes of corpses, feeling no remorse for doing so. They deserved it. Vale did these practices in secret, but it wasn't long until they were discovered by the general public. Vale was shunned from society and the many places he worked for within Julés for his unethical and gruesome 'human experimentation'.

    Though disheartened, Vale refused to give up. Even with no money, and no place to call 'home', he still found ways to continue his 'research'. Slowly, criminals who tried to mug Vale found out the hard way that he was no longer defenseless. He was no longer some sort of helpless target. Being shunned, in a way, had made Vale much stronger - both mentally and physically - as a person. In combination with his somewhat terrifying abilities, word of Vale's power soon spread, and he found himself being bothered significantly less.

    Many places requested Vale's strange talents. Boxing rings. Factories. Mercenary camps. Even strip clubs; all of which were willing to pay good money for the bizarre changes he could make to the human body. With no income of cash otherwise, despite his distaste for using his abilities for such trivial things, Vale accepted all of these offers to get the resources required to further push the limits of his gift.

    With his ever-growing arsenal of abilities, Vale seeks to create a 'perfect' human body, and [glow=red]P U R I F Y .[/glow]

    Vale has the bizarre ability to take some of the aspects and biological structure of other animals and organisms, and 'combine' them with human body, which can result in either beneficial, pointless, or harmful mutations. In order to do this, Vale must combine his own blood with the DNA of another organism. As soon as even a drop of this mixture touches another human being, a golden glow will envelop his target's body, and depending on the DNA of the organism(s) he chosen, they will mutate in a corresponding way.

    The mutations can sometimes be grisly and vile, as not all organisms are 'compatible' with humans. However, a successful, positive mutations often make one look strangely beautiful or powerful in combinaion with another animal. Vale can remove mutations from someone at any time by splashing them with a pure sample of his own blood. Mutations are applied and removed very quickly. Vale has no idea what a mutation will do when testing with a new organism's DNA, so he's always looking for more combinations and potential effects.

    Below are the current successful mutations Vale has found, and as a result, carries vials of these 'blood mixes' on him.

    » This mutation results in the target suddenly sprouting forth a large pair of glowing, ethereal wings, made from feathers that much the natural colour of the target's hair, and their eyes will glow their natural colour considerably brighter. The target will find all of their movements suddenly becoming more precise, and they will find that their vision has been considerably improved. The wings bestowed by this mutation are functional, and the target will be able to glide and use the wings to even fly, though doing so takes considerable effort.

    [glow=cyan]Ratione Regeneratus[/glow]
    » This mutation will result in the target's skin becoming slightly scaly and rough, but the visual changes are otherwise very little. However, the target will find that their wounds will heal at a massively increased rate for a short amount of time; minor cuts and bruises becoming repaired in a matter of seconds. Even lost limbs can regrow, though this takes time, and the resulting limb may be shorter and weaker than the last. This mutation, however, can result in some instability if applied to a target too long, and should be swiftly removed once all of the target's wounds are healed.

    [glow=cyan]Ratione Venandi[/glow]
    » With this mutation, the length of the target's hair increases considerably - usually flowing at their sides - and their teeth and nails will grow and sharpen, giving them a fearsome appearance. The target will experience a substantial increase in their strength and agility, and their aggression (especially against those considered a 'target') will considerably raise. Those without much self-control may even feel obliged to bite, drink the blood, or even consume their victims, though this feeling can easily be repressed.

    [glow=cyan]Ratione Crassitude[/glow]
    » With this mutation, the skin of the target will glow for a moment, before turning pale, somewhat shiny, and considerably thicker - as if they were made out of some sort of metal. Whilst the target will feel slower and more clumsy, their skin and bones become considerably more resistant to things such as blades, bullets, and even explosions.

    [glow=orange]Ratione Contrito[/glow]
    » This is a failed mutation -previously intended for healing a target - that can be used by Vale offensively. On the area in which Vale applied this mix, skin, muscle, and bone will grow at an incontrollable rate, causing tumours which usually result in a slow and grisly death. If applied near the brain, deformations can occur that can squash or pierce the brain of the target. The scars this mutation leaves can not be purified by Vale's blood.

    [ Vale, if given the time, resources, and willing (or unwilling) test subjects, may be able to improve, combine, or even create new mutations throughout the course of the RP. ]

    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift:

    » Obsessive Advancement
    Vale's gift has made him thirst more and more for progress and discoveries over the years, to the point where he sometimes has to drown out these feelings with alcohol or C-class drugs. His gift almost whispers to him at times, telling him to advance further; telling him to reach further and further until he's able to create the ultimate human. This is slowly but surely causing Vale to become somewhat deluded, and almost obsess over his mutations, viewing them as some sort of artform, and believing he's making people beautiful.


    » Unstable Genetics
    Vale has tried using his mutations on himself on the past, and the results are much less effective compared to using them on other people. For example, using Ratione Liberatis on himself results in a minor improvement in his eyesight, and only a small pair of wings that aren't functional at all. Also - whilst he can still undo most effects - mutations sometimes 'go wrong' when used on himself. Vale discovered this the hard way once, and had to amputate his left hand as a result.


    » Blood Price
    In order to use or withdraw his mutations on other people, Vale always has to use his own blood to do so. Not only is the process of drawing blood usually unpleasant and painful, but he has to be careful to not draw too much, and allow his blood to replenish over time. As a result of the many times Vale has drawn blood from himself in the past, his wounds are naturally slower to heal, his blood is thinner and slower to clot, and he is more prone to infection.

    Growing up amidst the descend of her family--going from well-respected worker for Arcanis's high society to the scum of the earth in Trastevere--Madeleine has twisted opinions on status and power. She has internalized the few values she was taught (or picked up) in a short-lived age of innocence. She's thorough and dedicated to her craft, pouring her soul into every project she takes on, often spending entire nights clinging onto her sketch book, obsessing over the details. However, she also embraces many aspects of the thug culture that has surrounded her for the majority of her life, believing that "might makes right", and placing great importance in wealth. Oddly, she seems to be a hoarder of sorts, trying to accumulate as many valuables as possible, with no intention to spend anything she makes.

    Madeleine almost never lets her guard down, trusting nobody, and is highly concerned with covering her tracks wherever she goes. In her endeavor to lay low, she often shows impressive patience and attention to details; Surprising, perhaps, considering her otherwise often juvenile behavior and violent outbursts. However, her cautious side may be a result of her being terrified of the thought of dying. Whereas many of her criminal peers display a certain degree of recklessness and apathy to the prospect of being killed, Maddy can't think of anything more frightening than the sheer notion of her own death. She seems to allow men to get closer to her than women, though this could well be explained by coincidence.

    Having a highly indulgent personality, Madeleine has formed a few bad habits. Madeleine smokes, often, has experiences with various substances, and displays some signs of eating disorders. Due to her drive to hoard as much wealth as possible, she does not pursue more expensive substances, but almost always carries cigarettes with her. She also eats, often, and seems to have a preference for meats, only to throw it up at the next best opportunity. As a result of her bulimic behavior, her teeth are in a poor state.

    Madeleine Law was born in Arcanis, to a lower-middle class family. Her father was well-regarded, however, even by the high rollers, for his extraordinary craftsmanship. His shoe shop, and his signature model "Bellevine", was a must have amongst the high society of Arcanis, and as such, the Law never missed much, even if they did not belong to the rich and famous. Madeleine herself was an unremarkable child; A bit quiet, a bit slow at times, but otherwise average and adorable. The young girl grew up learning her father's trade, and occasionally take over caring for her mother, when her father was too tired. Whereas her father was a warm man, her mother suffered from a mental disease Maddy never quite understood, but she knew that it made her moody, cold, and sometimes violent. Watching her father carefully wrestle down his unstable wife was not an uncommon sight. Despite the difficulties, the family lived a largely unremarkable life.

    Things changed, however, when Maddy was just 10 years old. During a rainy fall evening, Madeleine played in her room, when she felt "it" for the first time. A personality watching her. Quietly observing. Despite her fear, she talked to it, yet it remained silent. She tried to grasp it, yet it remained out of reach. And so, unknowing what it was, and unable to interact with it, Maddy quietly accepted it as background noise. Until the day her mother had a particularly rough day. So bad, in fact, she screamed at her husband not to come close to her, threatening him with a knife. The situation escalated, and though nothing but a few, non-threatening cuts came of it, Madeleine had seen more than her father would've liked.

    A month had passed since that peculiar evening, and on that morning, 30 days later, Arcanis's eager customers woke to find an abandoned shop and a missing family, never to be heard from again. Meanwhile, in Trastevere, a small apartment housed a lonely man and his daughter, hidden from the gaze of the public. Carlos Lorne, and his daughter Belle. An uncharacteristically friendly and hard-working folk, for the grim city of Trastevere. And while "Carlos" scraped the bottom of the barrel, searching for work to keep him and his daughter above water, the young girl grew up to become a delinquent, associating herself with the black bile that was Trastevere's gang scene. Many rumors followed the girl with the umbrella. That she was a whore, in spite of her tender age. That she was just as rotten as the rest of her friends. Perhaps those rumors were the reason why, at the young age of 15, Madeleine's father awoke to an empty apartment, never to hear from his daughter again.

    It was better this way, wasn't it?

    In the past three years, Madeleine arguably outgrew the small-time gangsters, and melted into the dark soul of Trastevere, in her search for riches and relief, all the while keeping on jaded eye on the old man working tirelessly, waiting for her return. He sure would be relieved to find out the front of the poor shoemaker is where "Belle" is hiding these days.

    ━ Madeleine may call for the aid of a peculiar being. The entity is not visible for anyone but Madeleine, though some of Madeleine's victims have uttered panicked phrases that suggest the entity may become visible in certain circumstances. It resembles a distorted humanoid, with one half resembling classic depiction of a Saint, similar to those found in Church windows, while the other resembles a more organic but also more sinister version of said Saint. Both sides possess wings, though they differ in color. While the entity itself does not interact with Madeleine's surroundings in any way, it seems to be inherently linked to her personal power.

    ▸ Spectre Sealing
    ━ While her power appears to be able to remain active for an extended period of time, even in the entity's absence, it seems the entity is permanently bound to a parasol of great personal value. Thus, it acts as a means of calling it to action, as well as banishing it.

    ▸ Shard Physiology [Tears of God]
    ━ Madeleine's actual power. Once the entity's presence has been established, Madeleine's body appears to gain an additional texture, as if her skin was made of shattered glass. The resulting shards can be fired like projectiles, or pulled off her body to serve as an offensive tool.

    ▸ Float
    ━ Madeleine may float above ground in the presence of the entity. She cannot fly however, and her movement is not enhanced.

    ▸ Reassembly
    ━ Should Madeleine's fractured body be partially destroyed, it may reassemble itself if given enough time with no further damage being inflicted. This ability may not work/work only partially, depending on how grave the damage dealt is.

    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift

    ▸ Instability
    ━ While the entity does not interact with anything or anyone, it influences Madeleine, affecting her personality. As a result, she not only becomes crueler and more inclined to act out on violent impulses, but also loses emotional stability. She will see things as betrayal more frequently, feel targeted, or otherwise be overwhelmed with some situations she would otherwise stay on top of.

    ▸ Physical exhaustion
    ━ While her body "regenerates" shards continuously, extreme usage of related abilities can lead to intense exhaustion, forcing her to lay low.

    ▸ Delusions
    ━ Prolonged exposure to the entity induces a state of delusion, resulting in hearing voices that aren't there, and can even lead to seeing what would best be described as night terrors in broad daylight.

    Bash's good qualities tend to overshadow the bad, most of the time. He grew up in a normal-ish family with two loving parents and an older brother. He was very close with his brother and learned most of his better qualities from him. Bash is very soft spoken and loyal to the ones he considers friends, even if they aren't the best people. Growing up in Ambrosia, he watched the deterioration of his city and all of his family fall to the darkness. Though he only has a handful of people that he considers close, he would do almost anything for them if they asked. Once someone has earned his trust, there is no limit to what he'd do to help someone.

    Though he has a very troubled past, Bash has done his best to turn his life around. Now that he has no family left, he puts all his time into working at a small diner clearing tables. It's not luxurious work, but it gives him a steady income. A lot of people that come in contact with Sebastian end up feeling a bit intimidated because he usually is wearing a constant scowl paired with a cold glare. Though this is the opposite of his actual demeanor. He's the kind of person that would do a good deed and not expect anything in return. He doesn't speak much unless spoken to, and even when he is happy, hardly ever shows a big smile.

    Growing up in Ambrosia taught Sebastian that he had to be brave in the face of danger. Whether that was standing up to bullies or jumping into a burning building to help someone he doesn't know. This also leads to him being insanely impulsive. He jumps into situations without thinking about consequences or the possibility of others getting hurt in the process. His impulsiveness also leads to clouded judgment if he gets in a fight. If someone has wronged him or someone else and it leads to hand to hand combat, Bash tends to show no mercy to the offender and has come horribly close to killing several innocent people.

    Sebastian was born and raised in Ambrosia and grew up a fairly normal child despite his super strength and speed. His parents died when he was nine years old due to health issues, causing his older brother to start working early and raise Sebastian. His abilities pinned him a bully at a very young age since no one else could beat him in hand to hand combat. Despite that, he didn't make a habit out of abusing his strength until he was around around eleven years old. That was when he started to understand the balance of power and that he wanted it for money. It started out with petty thievery, and that evolved into being a drug mule and a liaison between gang leaders, since no one really suspected a child to be involved in a gang. As he got older, his abilities made it easy for him to rise in the ranks of his gang and ended up beating the older leader to death with his bare hands. Ever since then, the other gang members became scared of Sebastian's brute strength, thick skin, and lack of humanity.

    He became known as a ruthless killer and moved his gang forward by overtaking other gangs by defeating their leaders. This of course, gave him an infamous reputation that his older brother couldn't ignore. As a police cadet, Sebastian's brother, Erik, thought it was his responsibility to apprehend Sebastian. One day, on Sebastian's twenty-first birthday, Erik confronted his brother when he was out celebrating. He tried to convince Sebastian to leave the gang life behind and informed the younger man that he was wanted for several murders. This of course only inflated Bash's ego. When he'd seen how far his brother had fallen, Erik struck out and punched Sebastian square in the jaw.

    The fight between the two brothers didn't last long. Erik got in a few good punches on his brother, but when he realized that Sebastian wasn't getting injured by his attacks, he used his baton. He struck Bash hard on the forehead, causing his scar, but also igniting his temper. All it took was one swift punch to the side of the head to end the scuffle between the brothers. Sebastian never intended to kill Erik, he'd lost control of his anger and when he'd finally realized what he'd done, it was too late. Erik died instantly, leaving Sebastian standing over his brother's body in an alley. The sight of his dead brother seemed surreal and Bash made his way home in a daze. When the weight of Erik's death finally hit him, Sebastian made a vow to turn his life around and the life of Ambrosia. He disbanded his gang and went into hiding for a year, laying low and working as a bus boy in a local diner to make money. Though he did put some aside from the money he'd made from extortion and drug dealing. The rest he gave back the people that were still good living in Ambrosia.

    After a year of working, Sebastian started doing vigilante work around the city. He has the complex that he can cleanse the crime from Ambrosia and return it to its former glory. Even though he has righteous ideals, his past as a criminal hasn't completely faded from his personality. Though he intends to turn over most criminals to the police, more times than not, he's killed them when he loses his temper or if he's learned that the offender had something to do with a gang. In his eyes, death is still justice for crimes committed.

    Riya's perception on life is different than most, as she spent most of her years tormented by the voices of those around her. She knew at a very young age that she was not like others, and not just because of the fact that she saw everything in life with vivid detail and bright color. Where numbers and colors were usually dull and lifeless for most, they floated and glowed with brilliant hues for Riya.

    This experience, coupled with the fact that she could hear what others were thinking before they spoke, has made her into the careful and intelligent woman she is today. One might think that a girl like Riya would become hardened from knowing what most people are thinking, but it has caused her to be more open minded towards others. She tries not to judge too harshly, lest someone reveal their true intentions unintentionally to her.

    Unfortunately, as Riya becomes closer to someone, the easier it is to read them. Riya may distance herself from a person at any given time due to her intrusive abilities, and the sensory overload, which is a side effect of her synesthesia and telepathy. She becomes exhausted from socialization very quickly, as her mind naturally wants to tap into other's thoughts.

    Riya finds it easiest to be around young children, as their thoughts are usually pure, and even enjoyable to read. Adults, on the other hand cause her to be more guarded, as she tries to maintain a sense of normalcy and keep out of their mind. She finds some comfort being in the presence of other gifteds, as they are usually more protected against her telepathy.

    Growing up, Riya was a confused child. Why? She had two loving parents, a roof over her head, and rarely wanted for anything in life. However, the one thing she was lacking was understanding. Of course, no one could understand what the child was going through. She was slow to speak, though doctors told her mothers that she was developing at a fine pace. Perhaps, even faster than some of her peers. Adults found her cute, and loved that she was shy and hid behind her parents whenever they'd get too close. It was when Riya was around the age where she was able to verbalize exactly what was on her mind, and everyone else's, that she gained the understanding she needed.

    Riya's mothers, Frieda and Elizabella were split on whether to believe that their daughter was exhibiting psychic abilities. On one hand, it had to be a fluke. Children say things, repeat the things they hear from adults and then run and tell whoever will listen. It was hard to justify though, since Riya would easily tell her moms what they were thinking about each other without pause.

    After she did it about fifty times or so, her parents started to believe her. Gifteds weren't unheard of, but their numbers had dwindled over the years. They worried for their safety as Riya's abilities became unstable. Her tantrums were dangerous, and as Riya would later grow and learn...fatal.

    The day was like any other, as far as Riya could tell. She was a day away from turning thirteen, and her mother had taken her to a popular shopping area in Arcanis. It did stand out to her that she was allowed to pick out anything she wanted, even though the family had recently fallen on hard times. For the past year or so, Frieda had taken ill and with only one adult working, they couldn't afford some of the luxuries they were used to. Riya was upset, and suppressing much of her emotion. That was the first time in a long time that she actually felt relieved, worry free.

    It was when she was trying on a new dress that she heard Elizabella's voice, though it was cloudy and light; as it often was when she was deep in thought.

    I'm so glad to see her happy.

    I wish it didn't have to be like this, but this is what's best for Frieda. The medicine in Dolcemi is more potent, and for half the price...


    Riya hadn't noticed she was staring, until Elizabella's gaze caught her own in panic. Naturally, Riya's first reaction was to question her mom, assuming that Elizabella must be going away on some sort of trip. Elizabella lied, and Riya's mouth twitched, as it sometimes did when she was in the early stages of an attack. Elizabella was always a horrible liar, and her thoughts often betrayed her words.


    The rest came out as a blurry, distorted mess. Riya looks back, still to this day, and the most prominent memory is the sounds of screams. A high pitched ringing, not unlike her own telepathic screams. It fills the air and drowns out the screeches and cries of everyone. It's unclear whether this memory is even a memory at all, because Riya remembers hearing Frieda and Elizabella both screaming and pleading with Riya, until she wakes up in Dolcemi.

    The family never talks about that day, but every so often bits and pieces will resurface, and put themselves together like missing parts of a puzzle.

    ▸ [ Mental Invasion]

    Riya is gifted with dangerous psionic powers, ranging from telepathy to violent psychic attacks against mundanes, and gifteds who have lowered their guard, or made to be vulnerable through physical means. She can read your thoughts, delve deep into memories you thought long forgotten, and send out paralysis inducing mental bolts to temporarily incapacitate her victims. Riya can, for a short while, take over another person's mind at the great cost of her own mental health, allowing her to see through their eyes and possibly plant minor illusions.

    ━ Telepathy is perhaps Riya's most invasive gift. She can hear the thoughts of others, down to the smallest whisper. She has some difficulty reading the minds of others with special gifts, but her success rates are very high among humans. Possibly unfortunate for her, if a person has been made to lower their guard completely, she can wind up with more than she asked for, sometimes gaining a glimpse into their deepest secrets. Because most people with gifts are difficult to read, Riya can easily differentiate between mundanes and those like herself.

    ━ Mental Bolts, a psychic attack that can bring even the strongest to their knees, but at the great expense of Riya's mental health. If targeting more than one person the effects can feel like a horrible migraine or, if channeled and focused on one person, it can feel like several sledge hammers bashing your skull, while a high pitched ringing fills the victim's head. Riya sometimes uses mental bolts to forcefully gain access to someone's thoughts, as opposed to doing harm to them, though mental bolts are always accompanied by the ringing.

    ━ Mind Control, by focusing and sort of channeling in on another person, Riya can enter another person's mind and see through their eyes. This is normally harmless towards the other person, though Riya will usually end up with a light headache, or in rare cases, enter an unconscious state if she lingers for too long.

    ━ Memory Tampering/Illusions, by using her mind control ability, Riya can change things about people's memories. All of this depends on how strong willed the person is, and how powerful the memory is to them. Changes can range from blurred faces, shifting colors, and removing a person altogether. These changes are generally not perfect, as the person affected by it will usually begin to recover bits and pieces of the truth over time. There was one instance, which Riya would rather not recall, where she permanently altered a classmate's memory.

    What Riya thought was a minor change, actually altered the person in ways that she never imagined. Their moods would shift unpredictably, and they were constantly riddled with headaches and nausea. Worst of all, their short term memories seemed to be affected as well. They'd only be able to recall things that had happened only seconds ago about fifty percent of the time. Because of this, Riya is much more careful about altering other's memories.

    With time Riya has learned how to use this ability more efficiently, but the cost to her well being has not lowered. She can never create a new memory, only change what has already happened, and tampering with other's memories accelerates the decay of her own mental state. Large changes to the memory are recovered easily, while something small, like changing the color of a lampshade, may take a long time to remember. If Riya takes the time to carefully manipulate someone's memories less damage will be done to the victim, but it will only increase the chances of permanent damage to her own psyche.

    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift

    ▸ Disorientation
    ━ Depending on the duration and strength of Riya's mental bolt, she will experience varying levels of disorientation after the attack, usually accompanied by a crippling migraine.

    ▸Mental Deterioration
    ━ Using any of her abilities, even telepathy, causes her mental health to slowly deteriorate. As such, she may begin to hallucinate, self-harm, or begin to hear voices that may or may not actually be present. Riya uses her abilities sparingly, with telepathy being her most used gift with the least amount of negative side-effects.

    ▸Loss of Control
    ━After a particularly stressful event, Riya may lose full control of her abilities. The opposite is also true, where she will not be able to use her abilities at all, as if she never had them in the first place. Sometimes she can't stop herself from invading the thoughts of others, or sending out 'psychic screams' to herself and anyone nearby, which usually results in a slight headache, or in worse cases temporary amnesia.

    ▸Disassociation/Astral Projection
    ━In very rare cases, Riya will leave her body and enter a dream like state to protect herself from trauma to her psyche, leaving her body vulnerable. It is completely involuntarily.

    As far as people go, Art Benediction Mayer is a pretty decent one. A native of Arcanis whose only alien feature is his above average height and impressive girth, he's someone who enjoys the simple things in life. Prayer, work, and giving back to the community gives him the most joy, and though his business could be considered middling at best, the name 'Mayer's Meats' is known throughout the neighborhood as one that you can trust to always deliver high-quality products. Though others look forward to the luxuries of a life that isn't their own, whether through the pleasures of flesh or through escapades into decadent destinations, Art is satisfied with his lot in life, willing to give away his surplus for free. An ordinary life and an ordinary happiness is the hardest thing to obtain, and as an adult, it's his duty to support the next generation, not to indulge in himself. Art always has one eye towards the future, always has one eye on budding flowers.

    But for all his kindness, his generosity, his loyalty, the man is a monster, an aberrant savage that had learned to live within society, but has never considered the laws of man as his own. This abhorrent individual lives by his own ethical code, enacting gruesome crimes with a bombastic, booming tone, one that is nevertheless devoid of emotion. For all their fantastic finales, even his ferocious fanfares are fully free from fondness. It is duty, not fanaticism that propels the monster. It is fervor, not perversion that guides his violence. Even knee-deep in gore, Art is neither revolted nor enchanted by the subhuman display. It's his belief that the gifted are living miracles, and thus, should act out such miracles in the name of the Goddess of the Bleak Night. To grant hope to her followers, to further his family legacy, to exist, Art will continue to realize the dark desires of those unable to.

    His faith unshakeable, his resolve immovable, Art is the worst type of zealot. And yet, unbeknowst to himself, there is still a spark within that separates him from his predecessors.

    Even in Arcanis, the city of the stars, there are those who have fallen out of grace, possessing neither exotic beauty nor breathtaking charm. Those betrayed, those spurned, those mocked, those lost. For those within the underbelly of that resplendent city, whose passions have reduced them to spent coal, their object of worship is not the inexorable incandescence of the trillion Suns blazing in the ether, but that of the darkness in between, the abyssal pit lying past the bounds of the blue sky. Finding solace in the blackness that even stars could not burn away, they indulge in their darkest fantasies within the ruins of desecrated shrines, the dead ends of winding alleys, the depths of a forgotten citadel. They pray for a forbidden miracle to soothe their hearts. For oathbreakers to be punished. For adulterers to be castrated. For murderers to be mutilated. They pray for deliverance from the light they can no longer look towards, for the long shadows of the Night Witch and her Twelve Consorts to swallow whole that repulsive radiance.

    And when that mask appears from the shadow, that featureless mask split in two by a purple-tinged light, they know that their prayers have been answered. A Goddess does not dirty her hands with the task of tearing apart false stars. For such an obscene task, only her Dragon answers.

    It was no curse, no disease that lead the men of the Mayer family down into their graves early. Art's grandfather never saw him, having passed away twenty years ago. His uncle was buried when he was five. By the time he was ten years old, Art, a child groomed by the women of his family into the next successor, was already well aware of the mantle he was to bear. That emotionless, childish cruelty had never been stamped out by kindness, and the blood of Nidhogg ran thick within his veins as well. Homeschooled and indoctrinated, the spineless cowardice of the outside world had no reign over Art's mind. A Gift was a miracle granted upon the Mayer family for their continued service.

    No tears were shed on the night his father came home, a dozen bullet holes riddling his back. No words were spoken as that bloodied, cracked mask was peeled off so two similar pairs of eyes could meet. There was only a blood oath passed as the immortal legacy of the Nidhogg placed itself on the shoulders of the son.

    Art's mother watched in the shadows as the man she loved dedicated his heart to the black within the blaze, as the boy she loved dove into the blaze.

    The funeral was short and private, a cremation held in the middle of nowhere, ashes scattered into the wind.

    At sixteen years, Art left the household to take up the family business.

    And thus, the dragon's story continues.

    The Mantle of the Corpse Eating Serpent


    "Blood of my blood, flesh of my flesh."


    It gnaws at his mind, his body, his life. It is both the curse and blessing of the Mayer family, the Gift that would consume them if the world doesn't do so first. In exchange for the promise of a short life, however, the Dragon that Art carries promises him the glory of a firework. With the activation of this power, a black carapace bursts out of Art's skin, forming a thick armor that ends at the base of his jawline, while a heavy, unidentifiable 'hump' rises out of his back, a thick, two-meter long tail emerging from it. The transformation complete within half a minute, Art has become no longer human.

    His durability and endurance are both bolstered by the blessing of the dragon, enabling Nidhogg to fully exert his strength without thought for his stamina, all while shrugging off physical impacts of all sorts. A juggernaut once encased in dragon scale, if faced with a speeding vehicle, it'll be the car that moves, not the dragon. More frightening, however, is the sheer weight that Nidhogg carries around. While subjectively weightless due to the supernatural nature of his Gift, Nidhogg's weight, including armor, sets him at a little bit over 907 kg, with half that weight due to the tail that sprouts out from him. This weight, indeed, is the keystone to his strength, turning a normal punch into one that has more force than a battering ram. Dextrous application of his tail makes it the deadliest weapon in his arsenal, a half-ton whip that can smash, grasp, and pierce, turning flesh-men into bloody pulp.

    A wingless dragon incapable of breathing fire, an inhuman tenacity supported by a massive frame is all Nidhogg has, and all he needs.

    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift


    ▸ The Price
    ━ The cost of his power is not blood, calories, or sanity. It's lifespan. The more he uses this power, the more of his life he loses. After nine years of regular use, it's safe to say that there's a possibility of Art just dropping dead whenever he dons the mantle of the dragon.

    ▸ A Human's Body
    ━ For all his resilience, Art's recovery rate from injuries is still that of a human's. A severed tendon is a life-long wound. A ruptured artery would put him down into the ground. A common cold is enough to make him stay in bed. All the armor in the world still does not make him invulnerable, and his mask, imposing and terrifying as it is, is also the weakest piece of his 'armor'. Lest he wish to fully cross the borderline, Art can not manifest that black carapace over his head.

    ▸ The Flipside of Enormous Weight
    ━ Even if he doesn't feel that burden, a large, thick humanoid that weighs a ton has limited mobility options. Ladders are liable to fall apart if he climbs it, and only certain vehicles can even carry him. It's also fairly annoying when the ground breaks beneath him and he falls through the building.

    ━ The reputation that the mask holds exceeds the individual wearing it. Though Art has a fairly 'impressive' list of crimes in his nine active years of felony, the legend of Nidhogg, Dragon-Servant of the Goddess of the Bleak Night stretches back for at least two centuries. Considering how gifts don't make much sense at all, it isn't strange to imagine that immortality or assured reincarnation is another ability that rests within the [Dragon Carrier].

    Ahi is know to be an avid business woman, and as such often takes on a amicable personality. She always does what it takes to make a deal go through, making sure not to sacrifice anything of her own while she's at it. Self preservation is her primary goal, and if she thinks you're going behind her back she won't hesitate to remind you who you're dealing with. Though not murderous Ahi is know to be physically violent when involving those who mistreat animals.

    Ahi is a sort of a vigilante, standing up for the animals who don't have a voice in her city. The quickest way to make her melt is through them. She will talk endlessly about cats and dogs of exotic and common variety. She finds herself most at home with animals around.


    Ahi is quite sensitive and due to her self preserving nature is not quick to trust others. She will often withdraw to herself around others and keep her distance. She will always step back when others get too close because feline vision is almost a passive ability for her. She can't see things right in front of her so she will often step back, only adding to her distrust of those who want to get close to her physically and emotionally. She has a hard time talking about her past and will often deflect. It takes very little to break her trust at the beginning phases of friendship, but if you know her well enough she will protect you with every once of strength she has.

    Ahi was born in Dolcemi and despite being in a city that lived on the water Ahi has avoided the seaside as much as she could. From a young age she knew she was different. Her parents had to keep her away from other kids due to the way she would behave around them. Due to her young age Ahi was easily thrown off course by anything that made her angry. It caused numerous problems in trying to school the girl which eventually ended up with her in home schooling.

    Ahi's parents were once quite happy together, living as a family. She put all her trust in them because no matter what she did they always cared for her. That all changed when her mother did.

    Ahi's mother had started working when Ahi was old enough to stay home alone. Pulling in the bills in a city of increasing crime was difficult for a small family. Her mother got a job for what she thought was a legal animal training facility. Instead her mother fell into a deep despair of being forced to hurt animals. As time went on it became easy for the woman Ahi had once loved to turn.

    Ahi's mother quickly became violent towards the pets of the household and sometimes Ahi when she would get into her fits and shift. As much as her father tried to protect Ahi he was also afraid of loosing his wife. Ahi's mother wandered around like nothing could touch her. Fights broke out between Ahi's parents and one day her mother couldn't take it anymore.

    One rainy night in the city her father and her mother got into a shouting match which turned serious. Her father, trying to defend Ahi who had curled herself into a corner, was attacked by her mother with the nearest object, a kitchen knife.

    The neighbors awoke to screams and cries for help. They found Ahi pressing down on her father's arm, her mother almost ripped apart near the kitchen. No one knew what had happened, the scene was examined but they never found a cause. Ahi and her father moved not long after but things were never the same.

    Ahi's father never truly recovered from the death of his wife, who was later deemed to be entering a state of psychosis. Her father buried himself in his work and when he wasn't there he was cradling a bottle of whisky and sobbing. Ahi had learned how to live on her own in no time.

    Her father hanged himself when she was only 16, leaving the child on her own. Having dropped out of school Ahi disappeared into the shadows of crime, hoping to find solace in surviving on her own. She got a place, and started dealing with animals again, vowing to protect every creature she crossed paths with to prevent people like her mother rising again and hurting those she was bonded too.

    Of course exotic pet trade isn't always legal. In fact Ahi never tried to make it seem like she thought it was. The woman was crafty and easily learned to self preserve in the trading market. She taught herself how to fight, how to shoot, how to deal. It was only when she was pegged by local cops on a pickup that she was offered the deal.

    When transformed into an animal such as a tiger or a lion communicating with those of the feline species is possible. The same goes for every other animal she posses. When in animal form she can not use human words thus making communicating with other people harder
    ━Heightened Sight/Senses
    Due to her most easily taking on feline capabilities she has a heightened sense of light perception in her vision as well as movement. Colors and close range vision are weakened when using such abilities as seeing in the dark. When attuning herself with other creatures her senses change along with them but she also carries the drawbacks. EX: Eagle vision gives her a increase distance visibility but due to the largening of her pupils is more sensitive to harsh light. Taking on a wolf's sense of smell can be useful for tracking but too many smells can muddle the sense. Each one requires a different amount of effort
    ━Heightened Strength/Agility
    When tuning in on a different animal her body will take on similar characteristics. For example cat's such as a tiger will give her increased strength but will weaken her speed. A wolf's ability to cross distances will hinder her ability to pull off powerful punches, and so on and so forth.
    ━Half Form/Half Shifted
    Ahi tends to use half shifts or half forms to access the gifts of the animal species she aligns herself with without having to go into full animal mode which requires more energy. Funnily enough this form requires more fine tuning than a full transformation since the delicate balance between animal and human has to be reached.


    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift

    ▸ Diversity Control Issues/Size Control Issues
    ━ Due to Ahi's ability containing a large amount of possibilities her control rangers from how often she uses each animal. Attuning herself to a different sub species such as canines or avian requires time around the animal and a certain amount of trust and communication. Due to Ahi having cats as a child she is most attuned to feline creatures, canines coming in second. She is notoriously bad with monkeys and has a difficult time with birds due to the large variety in the avian sub species. She has little to no experience with fish or aquatic mammals as importing and housing them is even harder than most animals. The size of each animal also affects how volatile a transformation is, and larger animals will often drain her energy faster.


    ▸ Feral Tenancies/Aggressive reactions
    ━ One thing that Ahi still has little control over is how out of control her emotions get when she's using her powers. The level of instability varies with the level of experience in each animal. Cat's she can control relatively well however controlling something like an orca whale would not only be taxing on her body but her mind, and will often cause her to be self destructive and cause large amounts of collateral damage. She often has to have someone or something else shake her out of her feral state if it get's too dangerous


    ▸ Limited Shifting
    ━ As much as shifting into animals is cool Ahi has a cool down time between transformations. She has preformed a few in a row when it comes to half transformations however shifting too many times can give her nausea and dizziness, leading to her passing out eventually.

    Reina is a very calm and collected person, always thinking her actions and words through. She is very hard to read, having mastered the art of the stone face. However, around those she trusts, she has a lively sense of humor and infectious smile, quick to laugh at most jokes. She has a soft spot for ambitious, young girls, and will take them under her wing once she has determined that they are worth the effort. She is as loyal to you as you are to her, and can just as easily put her life on the line for you as stab you in the back.

    Her experience as a prostitute has given her a lot of experience in seduction, a trick she uses often. She has no reservations about sleeping her way to what she wants. However, she struggles to form real intimacy with others, and will attempt to distance herself from those she develops romantic feelings for.

    While she can be a warm person once you become close to her, she is very cold to those she does not know or care for. She is extremely vengeful, and will not hesitate to harm those who cross her. While she is well known on the streets for her cruel punishments, she sees the torture she inflicts on her adversaries as an absolute necessity. To her, nothing is more important than reaching her ultimate goal, and there is no sacrifice too large to get it.

    Reina was born in Trastevere to a young, heroin addicted prostitute. Her life was void of structure, and she was exposed at a young age to the dark side of the streets. She had no stable home, with her mother constantly moving into the homes of her numerous boyfriends and being kicked out of apartment complexes for late rent. Her only sense of stability was her younger sister, Elena. The two dreamed of making their way out of the gutters, becoming as successful as the kingpins they saw on the streets.

    Once the girls became old enough, they began to follow in their mother's footsteps, walking the streets to survive. For a while, they were able to support themselves prostituting, but after the sudden death of their mother, they had to start taking riskier and riskier clients just to make ends meet. Desperate to escape prostitution, they began producing their own drug, determined to make their childhood dreams come true.

    For a while, things seemed to turn around for the Fenn sisters; their drug,
    R.E, quickly became popular, and the girls were making more money in a week than they had seen in their lives. However, their success was short lived. Their presence on the street quickly caught the eye of Egon, the leader of the dominant drug syndicate in Trastevere, called the Convocation. In retaliation, he ordered his men to make an example of the two. Reina was forced to watch the murder of her sister, before being brutally assaulted and left to die. She too would have perished, had her assailants not drawn blood in their attack.

    Fueled by a desire for revenge, she laid low as a prostitute for a few years, before creating her own syndicate again, producing the even stronger and more addictive drug, Elena. Working in the shadows, she quickly grew her syndicate, known by those in Trastevere as Cobra. Eventually, Egon fled her influence, and now resides in an unknown city. Reina pledges to find him and avenge the death of her sister, no matter what it takes.

    Chemical Manipulation

    Reina can change the chemical composition of the blood in her body. Once it is changed she can control it within a 100 meter radius. In order to avoid running out of medium, she draws a small amount of blood daily, keeping the blood in bags on her body at all times.

    Because Reina can transform her medium into any chemical she desires, she can create a variety of deadly chemicals and poisons, from sulfuric acid to mercury. On the other side of the con, she can heal herself and others with her medium, often combining many different chemicals to make different medicines.

    This power has played a part in her success in the drug trade, as she is able to create rare chemicals to mix into batches of Elena, giving it a potent and incredibly addictive high.

    A complex system of tubing runs up and down her arms, connecting to large blood bags inside packs on her arms and belt. To use these, she simply has to flip open a cap on these tubes, which will allow the blood to pour out and be manipulated. The tubing is extremely small, and kept close to her skin by bandages. It is easily hidden when she wears long sleeves.



    Known weaknesses that birth from their gift
    Fatigue
    ━ If she is not careful about how much blood she is using, she can quickly become weak from blood loss.


    Chemical Burns
    ━ If she is not careful, Reina can easily do damage to her own body, chemically burning herself both inside and out. This can be avoided if she takes care to transform the medium into something harmless, like water, before transforming it into what she really wants after it has left her body, but not having the time or forethought to do this can prove detrimental. These burns can be healed, but it will involve her shedding even more blood in an already weakened state.

    Chemical Sickness
    ━ Sometimes, when Reina has used her power more than she is used to, the chemical composition of her blood can become unstable, changing in small but noticeable ways. This leads to a variety of symptoms, from nausea and migraines to delusion and hallucinations.
