(Ugh, sorry 'bout that, it's finals time)

Ellen wracked her brain, thinking and thinking. "Louis could get through it. If he heated it up enough, it would melt, and-" She was cut off by the door lock beeping, and the steel door sliding open. Her guard was immediately up. It was silent. She didn't see guards, and the lights were off in the hall. "Looks like the power was cut. Or something." She murmured, slowly walking forward, looking around. "Way too quiet for my liking..."

Steve's arm softly whirred, as the grooves in its joints lit up in a faint, purple glow. He didn't believe Louis could actually heat things, he just resisted heat, as far as Steve knew. So, the door opening on its own was a fortunate occurrence. "Yeah. Stay on your toes, Ellen." He replied, holding his palm out in a futile attempt to light up the darkness.

They slowly crept forward, trying more so to be quiet than invisible. Steve's arm would give them away the moment someone tried looking for them. "I think the power was cut to give security an advantage. Night vision goggles, probably." He whispered. Every time they came to a corner, one of them would peek around a corner, then motion the other if they felt the coast was clear. Stressful minutes went by, until they found themselves right outside the locked solitary confinement cells. These were powered by a separate aggregate, and dim light shone through the tiny windows of the cell doors.

He moved to step up to one, then attempted to see into the cell. The door was too thick to allow him sight of whatever was right behind it, and it looked empty. So did the next cell, and the next. At the end of it, none of the cells seemed occupied. He stood up straight, sighing. "This is a bust." he said, not even bothering to whisper. His heavy fist banged into the wall with frustration.

Right at that moment, the door slammed shut behind them, and all the lights turned on. Steve's head snapped up and he cursed. They'd been lured into a trap. But how? It's not like there was any reason for anyone to come to solitary during a breakout.

Ellen made sure she was careful and was as quiet as possible as her metal body moved forward. She followed the low light of Steve's arm, hoping they wouldn't be spotted. As he checked each of the cells, she made sure to keep watch, her eyes squinting in the darkness, trying to catch a moving shape. She jumped when he proclaimed that this whole ward was empty. Empty? No way, that couldn't be... Grace was taken here, Louis had heard them before he got out.

She started to disperse her body, the metal becoming a bit of a strain on her, but as the door slammed, she immediately stopped it, and it began to cover her again. Her arms were up, ready to fight. She had been trained for these kinds of situations, which was kind of stupid on their part. "Stay near me." She told Steve, before covering her eyes at the sudden bright lights. She was blinded for a moment, she couldn't see what was going on.

Steve moved so that Ellen stood between him and the doorway. It didn't feel right, using a woman as a shield, even if her skin was made of metal. All the same, she was right to tell him to stay close, and he realized that full well. He still didn't like it. He hadn't been blinded, as she was, but it was still incredibly difficult to see if there was even anything outside the door, due to the way the lights shone into the room they occupied.

Finally recovering from her blindness, Ellen looked up, seeing a couple men with guns facing them. They didn't seem threatening though, which was strange at first. "Subjects Number 19 and Number 22, please come calmly with us." One spoke in a firm voice. "Where is everyone else?" Ellen asked immediately, her skin staying metal. She didn't trust them. "That does not concern you. Come with us or we will take action against you." She looked to Steve, not wanting to go if he had no plans on surrendering. She wouldn't fight her fellow lab mates.

Steve had no intention of peacefully walking out. They had a fighting chance against these guards, even if they were armed with tranquilizers or what have you. However, this ambush was too well set up to be random, and that irked him. He took a second to look about the group of guards, then noticed a spot between them all where nobody seemed to be standing. A spot large enough to fit a person. "I knew you couldn't be trusted." He sneered towards the 'empty' spot. His hand brushed up against Ellen's metal skin, and his touch hurt her for just a split second as he quite literally melted her skin off her to form an orb of white hot superiorite. "Sorry, Ellen." He said with a light, apologetic smile. It'd sting for a while, but it wouldn't leave any lasting damage.

The guards raised their weapons, ready to pull the trigger. The leader, or so he seemed, even called out to make Steve 'Freeze.' Railgun, however, had different plans. The orb shot from his palm, straight down the middle of the corridor. Anyone too slow to get out of the way would have the golf-ball sized bullet wound immediately cauterized, be incapacitated, and most likely die to severe internal burns within the hour. The pacifist in him hoped they'd manage.

As Ellen watched the group, ready to take some sort of action, she hissed, calling out in pain seconds after. After the chunk was gone, she held a hand over the wound, seeing what he was doing. She watched the ball speed down the hall, screams of pain coming from some of the soldiers as some fell to the ground simply from the shock. Seeing her opening, she grit her teeth, and charged forward, catching some of them off guard. She shoved two of them to the ground, kicking one in the groin, and spinning around to punch another in the face, being careful to not kill him. The others seemed to have scrambled, but some were shooting at her. She could feel the bullets as force, but they didn't actually hurt all that bad. It felt more like getting slapped, just with a few tons of force behind it. She ran forward, taking out a few, before calling to Steve. "We need to get out of here!" She dropped another guard, more still shooting at her. Her eyes stung, and a tear made its way down her metal cheek. She wanted to save her friends, but there was no way she could right now. They would be going against the whole compound.

If he could, the minor telekinetic would've had the glowing orb return to his hand as fast as he had thrown it out, but it'd take time to have it come back to him. Too much of it. In stead, he socked one of the guards in the mouth with a metal fist, then swept the legs out from under another, before he leaped after the 'Iron Maiden'. Despite having Ellen as a human shield, only by sheer luck had he not taken a bullet. Some came whizzing by, hitting Ellen rather than him. And though he knew they wouldn't pierce her skin, in the back of his head he still hoped he wouldn't see her blood spill before the day was over.

Ellen flinched after a few more bullets hit her. It was starting to hurt a little. "We need to get out!" She bellowed, very uncharacteristic of her, as she suddenly charged forward, running into the remaining five guards. They were merely stunned, but it gave her time. She dropped two more, before grabbing two rifles from some fallen ones. She didn't fire them, but tossed one to Steve, while she continued bashing people. She didn't want to kill them, they had families too. When the remaining ones were down, she ran through the door, knowing Steve would stay close to her. "Come on, let's give that electric net a try." She told him. She needed to get out of the metal, and bum rushing an electric net would probably be their quickest, and safest, way out. "If this stuff is immune to electricity like you say, that's the best bet we have."

Steve, after the time he spent training to become the 'super soldier' he had been intended to become, had had a fair bit of weapon training. And an AR15 wasn't the most difficult firearm to work with. A few muzzle flares and bangs later, he'd managed to land a shot on one of the guards' shin, and the guy went down. He didn't disagree about the electric net, for the most part. But Ellen seemed to be forgetting a rather important detail. "I can't jump thirty feet into the air. Can you?"
