Before joining Danganronpa, Yuna was a normal talentless high school student who got accepted into the 53rd season of the killing game. She was originally born in Korea but then later moved to Japan, where her interest in the series only grew. After being accepted and having her memories be permanently altered, her bio goes as follows;
Yuna was born in Korea in a highly successful and wealthy family. Her father was the CEO of a company specializing in technology and technological advancements while her mother ran a highly successful jewelry line. Both were well respected in their fields Both parents wished nothing but success for their first born child; wishing her to become someone in a saught after field or to take over one of their companies. However, Yuna has always been interested in music and performing. She was always the center of attention being the first born, and performing for others only added onto to that. While she wanted her parents to be proud of her, she went off to accomplish her own dream. Despite her parents' seemingly disinterest in her own personal feelings or wants, her career took off.
Since hearing of her interest in being an idol, they started showing disinterest in her, and payed less attention to what she did. It wasn't any better when it came to her younger sister. The moment the younger sibling started showing interest in dance, they acted as if she didn't exist either. Not liking what she was seeing, and being worried about her sister, Yuna quickly asked her parents if she could move to Japan with her sister as she was scouted by Hope's Peak Academy. Though they didn't seem to care, they let her do what she wanted. Now in a big empty expensive house in Japan with no one but staff and her sister, Yuna is currently living her life taking care of her sibling while still maintaining her idol status, and also still going to school.

Yuna is ironically somewhat timid with new people, but once you get to know her, her personality truly shines. Yuna is friendly and loves to get others involved so no one feels left out. She is extremely kind and cares about others a lot and often puts others first. She is known to see the goodness in people and isn't one to judge based on pure assumptions or rumors. Yuna is quite a trustworthy and loyal girl, not thinking too much on whether someone is using her for their own personal gain. Honestly she is pretty gullible but even if she were to find out she was being used she tends to assume it's for a good reason.
Yuna is incredibly nurturing and somewhat motherly, especially to those she cares about. Due to familial reasons, she's had to mature earlier than most and can be quite the mother hen. She'll do anything for those close to her, even putting herself in danger -- though not usually on purpose. She truly is the mom in her friend group and as such she tends to her friends when injured and even scolds them for it. While Yuna is a very caring individual, she can and does get angry and upset, although not often. She tends to bottle things up until she's unable to anymore. However, that wall breaks down when someone she's close to gets hurt or when someone shows genuine malice towards her or her friends. She can be very affectionate but never expects to receive any affection back as she never seemed to get it from her parents. But if you do show her any sort of affection -- especially physical -- she gets all flustered. -

Somi Kim | 12
Yuna and Somi's relationship is way more different than her relationship with her parents. The girls absolutely love each other as they truly feel like they're the only family they have. Though it isn't true, their parents have neglected them to the point where it doesn't even feel like they exist. However, the only thing that matters to Yuna is making sure her sister is happy and healthy and succeeds her own dream. Somi is automatically Yuna's biggest fan; she's always looked up to her. Yuna is both the parent and the mom for Somi but nothing could tear the girls apart.
Kokichi Oma | Ultimate Supreme Leader
Let's be real, Yuna and Kokichi's relationship started off rough. While yuna was always kind towards him, he was semi indifferent towards her though he's definitely one to mess with her. Honestly he does scare her a little, but that soon fades out the longer they're in the killing game. He won't admit it, but he kind of enjoys involving her in his shenanigans. Truth be told though he doesn't want her too much involved with him so he is still a little shit. Just maybe a little less to her than others.

Shuichi Saihara | Ultimate Detective
Yuna and Shuichi got along well at the start. She started hanging out with him and Kaede as she found them both to be kind and trustworthy. After Kaede's execution, Yuna was immediately by Shuichi's side to comfort him. As they continued to go on with the killing game, the two are often found with each other. They grew to really like and care about each other, though Shuichi made it more obvious which made him shy because, lets be real, he'd be teased about it. Mostly from Kaito.

- honestly shuichi tried to confess but it took a few tries for him to finally tell her

Rantaro Amami | Ultimate Survivor
Honestly it's hard to intereact with Rantaro seeing as he seems to be a little more distant from the others. However, Yuna found him really nice and chill, though his more serious expressions tend to freak her out a bit. As for Rantaro, he didn't mind Yuna's company, and liked just chatting whenever there was time. Over the time, Yuna found herself really liking him, but it was hard to read whether he liked her in that way or not. It took some confidence and minor confusion (on Yuna's end) but they got there in the end.

MOTIVES
First Blood Perk
Honestly this motive had Yuna very worried. She wasn't sure what to do if
anyone actually committed a murder, but she was hoping it didn't happen.
At the same time, she was scared about them running out of time, but she was
ready to fight back if need be.
Motive Video
At first she was confused about the motive video as she had someone else's.
However she was convinced it'd be a bad thing to give in and trade motive videos.
She made it very known though that she wanted her own video as she was worried
about who could be in it. Although that was brought up in trial in an immediate
accusation, she never actually traded her motive video.
Transfer Student
From the mere mention of this motive, Yuna was instantly against it.
Quite frankly, she didn't believe they could bring one of their friends
back from the dead. She did, however, go to Angie's lab multiple times
with Shuichi and even Tenko to convince her not to go through with it, but that's all.
Card Key
Now this was the motive Yuna was most interested in. However, as soon as Kokichi
ran off with the card, she quickly ran after both him and Kaito. Though at some point,
she lost both of them and went back to the others.

Yuna is a short young woman standing at 5'1 (154cm) which is much shorter than the average girl. She has pink hair usually styled in a ponytail, however whenever she's performing it's up in pigtails. Sometimes though she styles it in a braid, a half up half down, or a bun. When her hair is down, it's mainly straight and long, reaching just at her waist. Yuna has beautiful yellow eyes that more so resemble a golden color, especially when the light hits the hues of her eyes.
Her eye shape is very cat-like which sometimes results in her fans nicknaming her cat pet names which she finds endearing (she especially loves Kitty, Kitty-Cat, Pink Kitty, and Cute Kitty Cat -- usually in Korean or Japanese as she rarely hears them in English). As an idol who practices often and performs often, Yuna is very good at staying in shape. She isn't one to sprout abs, however it is noticed that she does have an hourglass figure which pair well with her C-cup size breasts. While she does accessorize normally, she only has her ears pierced.
