  Panda Heroes is a advanced group roleplay with genre(s) in action, drama, high school, modern, and slice of life. Taking place in the heart of Saint Isla, Newfield (Which I will say now is a fictitious city and state I made up) there is a public school stigmatized with the word 'Failure'. Said school is known as Mallory High School. Or as the institution is mocked: Mallory High School for failures. But it wasn't always referred to as such. In fact, since it's opening back in 1960 the school had a decent reputation at most. However due to a tragedy that happened in the late 2000's, the school's publicity went for the worst. Juveniles began attending the school in the early 2010's with the school becoming vandalized with graffiti and vegetation surrounding the school like some jungle. Funding, clubs, electives, school supplies, and staff slowly diminished over the next few years. The school would then become a 'Drop-off' or transfer for students who were rejected from other public schools, whether they had bad grades, did something bad in their past school years, or were biased for unknown reasons. They ended up attending that school. The 'High School for Failures'. However, in 2015 a 50-year-old woman came into power as the fifth principal with plans to shed the 'Failure' label the school has garnered and to make it great again. But the main problem remains. Some of it's troubling students and corrupted teachers. With the 2017-2018 coming up, it'll look like another year full of drama, bullying, food fights, abuse of power, and much more. Or will it?
  
  Panda Heroes focuses on the journey of six misfit students who become the titular Panda Heroes. The story will focus on the interactions and conflicts that arise between themselves and the targets they face throughout the story. They plan, punish, humiliate, and expose their targets for their horrendous actions and behavior. All to make them atone for their sins and help the students/adults who are unable to. They leave their influence not just in Mallory High School, but Newfield schools and other schools in America. They inspire them to stand up and fight back, or take a stand for the weak who can't. The main theme of this roleplay is an obvious one you might have heard of before: Stand up or Fight back against those who harass you. If you a bystander, it is wise not to watch bullying or abuse on the sidelines. Or worse, join them in terrorizing the victim further. Harassment should not go unpunished. If you see bullying or abuse in school, take a stand and stand up to them. Or, inform your teacher or principal of bullying you witnessed. And if you are a victim, do not let your tormentor get the better of you. By doing so, you are only giving them what they want. Stand up and fight back against your intimidator. And please note, you're are not alone. You have connections with your teachers, friends. and family. Use Them.

  In the heart of Saint Isla, Newfield, resides a three story building.
  
  A three story building whose exterior is decorated with graffiti, vegetation, and broken windows. A three story building which is a institution for troublemaking misfit students. A three story building that is stigmatized with the word 'Failure'.
  
  Mallory High School. Or as the institution is mocked, Mallory High School for Failures.
  
  Mallory High School is a public school that resides in downtown Saint Isla since it's opening back in 1960. It's the only school in the heart of Saint Isla except for it's rival schools ____ Private Academy and ____ Institution. Although both schools see their rivalry with the dysfunctional school as an embarrassment and a joke. Although what would you expect coming from a school with a name meaning 'Unfortunate; ill fated'. However it wasn't always the school where students were doomed to fail upon graduating. In fact, back in it's opening days of August 1960, the school has a decent reputation. Sure it wasn't the best schools of it's time like ____ Private Academy (which was once a public school back in the day), but it had an average and okay reputation at most. So that begs the question: What happened? What made this school which was ordinary at most become horrendous at best? What made it's exterior look revolting with graffiti, vegetation, and broken windows? And it's interior in desperate need of repair with wooden creaking graffiti floors, broken lockers, chairs and desks that fall apart easily, and much more?
  
  During the first decade of the new millennium, bullying rates in school increased throughout America. School boards around the country advised schools to bring awareness to bullying and cyberbullying, and how to prevent it. But it seemed that Mallory High School never got the memo, or did but never got around to do so. There was always this 'hold up' when it came to the advisement from the school board in Saint Isla. This time however a punishment was made for their ignorance. A consequence that would ruin the school's reputation in seconds.
  
  In the late 2000's the bullying in Mallory High School reached a boiling point in the 2008-2009 school year. Sophomore ____ ____ was a victim of said vicious bullying, having been a victim dating back to his early middle school years. It didn't help that the school ignored both his and the many other victims pleads of help. Fed up with both his tormentors and the school in general, he decided to take matters into his own hands. His extreme actions would change the entirety of school as we know it. On May 29th, 2009, he came to school with his father's double revolvers and a hunting knife. At the start of 7:30 a.m. he opened fire in his advisory home room. Of the twenty-four (Including himself well beloved history teacher Ms. ____) within the room, he murdered seventeen and injured seven. A fellow teacher-who heard the firing of shots and screams on the second floor left his advisory class to check what the unsettling commotion was about. When he did not return to his class in eight minutes, a female student called the police. Junior class representative ____ ____ advised her class to barricade the door with desks and chairs and hide in the back of the room. The school was placed on hard lockdown as ____ continued his bloody rage. He killed thirty-seven students, four teachers, and injured eighteen students, three teachers. He then took his own life by slitting his throat when police arrived. The 2009 Mallory High School Massacre was both a terrifying and despairing time, but it would only become much worse in the aftermath.
  
  The school was chastised for it's lack of awareness and ignorance when it came to bullying. Lawsuits were made against the school from grieving families who lost their children in the massacre. Everyone was to blame: the students, the staff, and it's principal, whom during all the drama in the aftermath silently resigned and left the school. Multiple teachers and students began leaving or transferring to other schools in Saint Isla, leaving the school with a diminishing number of students and staff remaining to stay with the devastated school. Instead of closing the school and abandoning the building, the school was left to remain opened. Despite the percentage of students and staff being lower than the amount needed to keep a public school opened. At the start of the 2010's, the school had garnered some publicity of the worst kind. Juveniles began attending the school, whether they were enrolled or transferred from another school. They began to vandalize the school, explaining both it's disgusting exterior and interior appearance, and terrorizing the students and staff. It became so bad that the principal at the time hung himself in his office on the last few days of school in 2012. It didn't get any better for the school though. It would only get worse and worse into the mid 2010's.
  
  Protests arise with parents demanding the school to close due to it's grotesque condition, funding, clubs, electives, and school supplies, and staff slowly diminished over the next few years, Teachers were becoming apathetic or depressed, barely doing their jobs or trying to do their jobs in vain, only to be met with violent and apathetic students. By the 2013-2014 school year, the school became a 'drop-off' for students rejected by other schools in the area. Whether they had a penchant for bad grades or behavior, done sometime in their past school years, or were biased against them for unknown reasons, they were sent to Mallory High School. It was to dump 'bad seeds' off at a collapsing institution to make them look good in comparison. Hence why the school has since been branded as the 'High School for Failures'.
  
  However, that would change in 2015 with the introduction of Ms. ____ ____. A 50-year-old widow whose cynical, bossy, hot headed, stoic, and has nails so sharp they can kill you. "Supposedly" anyways. Taking over Mr. ____'s role as principal during the second semester of the 2014-2015 School Year, she promised both staff and teachers she would shed the 'Failure' label the school has gained and make the school great again. For the past two school years she has worked on the interior appearance of the school while restoring clubs, electives, school supplies and more faculty. But the main problem of the school remained: some of it's terrible students and even more terrible teachers. While a

  Two teenagers, two contrasting worlds. and two different locations. One drenched in monochrome and apathy, and the other is bathed in bright colors and warmth. One having a broken family, and the other having a caring family. One resides in the heart of the large bustling city, and the other is settled in a small quiet town only a few hours away. Truthfully, neither would ever cross paths. And yet, due to recent circumstances...
  
  Our story begins with two boys-twins in fact- who live with their parents in serene harmony. A happy family living a rose-colored life downtown, they lived their life undisturbed in bright colors. Yes they truly lived a content life, and yet it was a lie. Additionally, such a flawless life never existed to begin with. Yes things were alright in the beginning, but only in the beginning. Their father was a drunkard bastard while their mother was ill. And the boys-who were once close, fell out and grew distant with each other. The elder grew detached from the world around him and brooding, whilst the latter became more violet and hot-headed. Though they both have one thing in common: they both are aloof and difficult to interact with.
  
  Recently, following the fallout between the two brothers and the younger being sent to juvie, the mother had a stroke. For unknown reasons never explained, she was admitted to the hospital of ___, a small vintage modern city only a few hours away from their actual home. With no father to look after the boy, the boy stayed with his paternal Uncle and Aunt. Enrolled in one of it's two public schools, he would being attending ___ High School in said town as a sophomore. On his first day of school, he attracted boys and girls alike, though more the latter rather former. During lunch in the classroom, disturbed by the social interaction around him, left the room. He wandered the halls, climbed the stairs, until he found a door leading to the roof. Now the roof was technically off limits to students, yet more often than not students will sneak up to the roof for various reasons. Noting the door is unlocked, he walks onto the roof and looks around. He finds a bench near the door and sits down. It's quiet, tranquil, he let's out a sigh. When he thinks he's alone however, he's hears something in the distance.
  
  Music.
  
  He hears music.
  
  He was confused. Was someone on the roof with him? How long have they been there? Are there other people with them? He rose and headed for the door, yet he paused. His curiosity was getting the better of him, and despite having an internal conflict with himself he turned around. With slow, quiet, and careful steps, he made his way towards the music. Hiding behind a wall, he gazed to find...a girl. A girl playing a light blue melodica, standing on a bench. A short girl with pale complexion, shoulder blade length blonder hair playing the melodica magnificently. When she concluded her play, she looked around whilst standing on the bench if anyone heard her, only to hear a sound. It seems the boy stepped on a bubblegum wrapper while watching her, and didn't notice until too hearing the sound. She looked behind her to find the boy peering at her from behind the wall. And before he said anything to her, she grabbed her bag and melodica and ran towards the opposing door across the door the boy entered from. Which, surprisingly, was also unlocked. Was every door on this roof unlocked?
  
  Lunch came to a close, and he returned to his class to find the girl he saw on the roof. It seems they were classmates, but he didn't think about it too much. The next day, he quietly returned to the roof again. To once again hear music. Presumably from the same girl. This time however he had no interest in listening to her again and ignored her. As lunch came to a close and the school bell rang, he headed for the door. As he opened the door, he felt someone run into him. It was the girl from yesterday, as he correctly guessed. He may not think much of their conversation now, or even later. But it wouldn't be the last meeting with her.

  Eight years ago, an adventure visual novel was released in Japan. Said visual novel told the story of sixteen prodigies forced into a killing game at a prestigious academy. Receiving positive reviews, the game would spawn various sequels, light novels, animations, and even stage plays. The most recent game in the series detailed Danganronpa as a "global phenomenon" everyone was obsessed with. So obsessed in fact a reality show with fifty-three seasons based on the games were made. The despair-inducing game was brought to life, and no one batted an eye. However, that was only a game, a new saga in the series. Obviously, the events in Danganronpa would never happen in reality, right?
  
  ...Right?
  
  In the early 2000's, a prestigious multinational boarding school was opened. Said school was known as ___ Academy, founded by the ___ family; one of the wealthiest families in the United States The institution invited students from around the world in different fields from academic, to athletic, to the arts, etc., to attend and hone their talents. Around the mid-2000's rumors began circulating that if you were to attend ___ and graduate, you'd be guaranteed success. These rumors were proven true by the graduates themselves, who would go on to hold high positions in every field of the professional world in their respective countries. By the late-2000's early-2010's, the school received backing from the government and was regarded as one of the best schools in the United States if not the entire world. Sounds familiar right?
  
  In the fall of 2018, a new semester is about to start for the twenty-first class of ___ Academy. But what was supposed to be a day filled with anticipation and hope was instead corrupted with distortion and despair. The next thing you know, the world faded to black. You wake to find yourself in a classroom (presumably in ___) with no memory on how you got there and only a small folded letter. Unfolding the letter read the following:
  
  Dear [Ms. or Mr. Student],
  
  We once again thank you for coming to attend _____ Academy with your fellow soon to be classmates. We couldn't be happier. Your talent in the [-insert talent here] will surely bring the brightest hope for the future! Because of that, we've decided to give you the title of 'Super High School Level [Insert talent here]. But before you start your exciting school life there is the entrance ceremony. The ceremony begins at 7:30 A.M., please report to the gymnasium that is on the right side of the school. May this semester be exciting and full of hope for you and the rest of the 21st class!
  
  You could've taken the note more seriously if it wasn't written in crayon. It didn't help that below the message had an illustration of ____ Academy, a yellow sun with tints of red and orange, and what appeared to be a black and white bear with a weird looking red eye. Confused and wary you stand up and make your way out of the classroom, finding even more strange anomalies while on your way to the gym. Such as surveillance cameras in every corner, or how the windows were embedded with thick metal plates. This was ___ Academy right? What were the need for surveillance cameras and metal plates? Were you and the rest of your classmates being held captive? It certainly felt that way. You arrive at the gym to find the set up for the entrance ceremony, with each of your classmates arriving soon after. You all had the same feeling; a sense of uneasiness, confusion, and anxiousness had filled the gymnasium's atmosphere. And that sense of uneasiness increased when they were shut in.
  
  "Ah. Ah. Testing 1, 2, 3. Testing 1, 2, 3. Hellooooo? Can anyone here meeeee? Right okay, then-A-Hem! Let's get things rolling?"
  
  A piercing crude mechanical voice boomed out of the speakers in the gym before appearing behind them on the stage, sitting on the podium. The source of the voice had come from what appeared to be a black and white teddy bear. One that looked just like the illustration on the letter.
  
  "I'm Monokuma, and I'm this school's headmaster! Nice to meet you all!"
  
  'Monokuma' goes on to explain that you and your classmates will live a communal life within the confines of this school in order to "preserve your talent and hope". However, there was 'One Exception'. If someone was so desperate in wanting to escape, all they had to do is:

  Simple as that. Kill someone without getting caught, and you'll "graduate" and leave the school. Failure in doing leads to a class trial to determine who's the culprit. If the students can figure out whodunnit, then only the culprit will be punished. But if the students can't, then everyone besides the culprit will be punished. With such high stakes, the students are left with two choices, both terrible. Either cut ties with the outside world and live the remainder of your life within the academy or commit murder for freedom. Thus begins your (ab)normal life within the walls of ___ Academy, where it's a constant battle between hope and despair.

  Guess who's back? Back again? Navi's back. Tell your friends. Yes after months of inactivity I'm back. And what is the first thing I decide to upon returning? Why reboot an old roleplay of course! Danganronpa: The Despair-Inducing Game Brought to Life! is back. Same story, different setting. If you're wondering why I've changed the setting, allow me to explain. In 2016 I made a group roleplay inspired by the game franchise Danganronpa. The premise is very similar to the first game, in which a group of students is trapped in the same school they were scouted in and forced to kill each other. However, the roleplay didn't last. By the end of the year, I officially closed the roleplay. As both an apology and explanation, I went into detail about who would've survived, who would've died, and the outcome. Looking back at the conclusion I wrote a year ago, I realized how jumbled and nonsensical it was. Which is why for the reboot, I've decided to start over entirely. Anything involving Estorra will not be mentioned here. It's a new setting, new characters, a new outcome that will be better than the original!
  
  Another new thing I've added is the 'Mechanics' tab, which will go into detail on how the mechanics will work in the roleplay. Something I didn't add in the original (or didn't consider). I'll also mention now that this roleplay does contain small spoilers from the Danganronpa games (specifically Trigger Happy Havoc and Killing Harmony), so If you intend to play (or watch the games on youtube) and join this roleplay, I'd tread carefully if I were you. This roleplay also contains violence and character death, so If you're not of the faint of heart or don't want to see their character die, then this roleplay is not for you! With that out of the way I recommend you read the entire OOC, and to make sure you read all of the above please write the sentence 'I will fight with ___ and ___ in this killing game!' (e.g 'I will fight with God and Anime in this killing game!') pertaining to your character's talent in your character sheet. Check the 'Character Sheet and Posting Format' tab on how to do so.

  [DAILY LIFE]
  
  "There's still plenty of time left in the day. What should I do?"
  
  At the start of the roleplay and after each class trial, a period of time is given to the students allowing them to explore the school and interact with fellow classmates. This is referred to as 'Free Time Events'. During this time you can do pretty much whatever, within 'school rules' of course. Free time takes place over the course of three days (in-universe), with the third day involving Monokuma giving an Incentive. Following the reveal of the incentive, I will pick two players at random to be the victim and murderer respectively. I will contact both via PM and discuss the murder scene, plan, reason, and execution. Once the following is complete and the fourth days starts, I will make an announcement in the IC that a player has been killed, thus beginning Deadly Life. Note the victim announcement is only for the players, not for the characters.

  After three players have discovered the body, and IC body discovery announcement will play, instructing all students to gather where the victim lies. Each student will be given a 'Monokuma File' detailing the circumstances of the death- ex John Smith was hit with a blunt object in the library at 5:30 am. Students will then investigate the around the school looking for evidence to figure out who the killer is. Once enough evidence has been discovered to have a reasonable chance of figuring out the killer, a class trial will commence.
  
  [CLASS TRIAL]
  
  "Let's begin with a basic explanation of the class trial. So, your votes will determine the results. If you can figure out whodunnit, then only the culprit will receive punishment. But if you pick the wrong one? I'll punish everyone besides the culprit, and the culprit that deceived everyone will graduate!"
  
  Class Trials will not take place in the IC thread, but instead on Discord (which is mentioned above). If you wish to join and do not have a discord account, I suggest making one as Discord is mandatory for both the class trial and as a second form of communication. The trials will take place at a certain time and date that convenient to all/majority of players. If something comes up and you are unable to attend, please give me a warning ahead of time. In the class trials, players are allowed to post single sentences instead of paragraphs. During the trials, players will discuss various pieces of evidence and who they think the killer is. When the discussion has reached a conclusion, students will vote on who they believe the killer is. If the majority is correct, then the culprit is punished. But If the majority is wrong, then all besides the culprit will be punished, leaving the culprit to 'graduate'.
  
  After every trial, three things will happen. First, anything involving the murder will be either cleaned up or put back in order. As if a murder had never occurred. Second, any and all game leading to the next floor will be opened. However, students will not be allowed to investigate until the next day. Finally, the next day, a vital clue about the overarching mystery of the story/game will be revealed via video tablets. Each tablet is located in a random place on each floor. In an IC post, I will describe the location of where the tablet is hiding and what the clue is. Any player or the player closest to the location is welcomed to retrieve the tablet. There are seven tablets in total; two of which will be revealed in the final chapter.

  Since posting, expectations are set to twice or three times a week, and you are expected to participate in a class trial, activity is an important part of the roleplay. If you are inactive during the roleplay but provide a reason ahead of time, your character will become immune. During this time, your character will not be murdered by another player and will continue until the player's return. The same applies to players who are inactive but provide a reason as to why after their return. However, if you are inactive for a week and provide no explanation as to why your character will become the next victim. The same applies to players who drop out of the roleplay with or without explanation.

Unlike other boarding schools where you must apply to attend, ____ instead scouts it's students by the school itself. In order to attend ___, you need to attend this school: first, you must be between the ages of fifteen to eighteen. And second, you have to be the very best at what you do. While the students are encouraged to develop their talents, the school does not abandon academic studies entirely. Around the mid-2000s, rumors began to circulate that if one was to graduate from ____ Academy, the would be guaranteed unlimited success. Though just rumors, these hearsays were proven true through various interviews and media coverage of the alumni, who each would go onto hold very high positions in every field in their respective countries. By the early 2010s, the school was receiving mass media coverage across the country, regarded as one of the best schools in the United States, if not the entire world. The school had also become government sanctioned, through a budding friendship between ___ ___- the grandson and headmaster of ___ and the president of the United States. Though the school started off originally small, surprising since the ____ name (one of the wealthiest families in the US mind you) is behind the creation of the institution. However, with repeat success of its students and the ___'s wealth, the school continued to grow in size.   On the northeast side of the United States, there's a city known to be apathetic and virulent. Within the often nicknamed "city of apathy", resides a school stigmatized with the word failure. Said school is known as Mallory High School. Or as the institution is mocked: Mallory High School for failures. But it wasn't always associated with failure, nor was it always a terrible school. In fact, the school had a decent reputation throughout the twentieth century since it's opening in the mid-sixties. So it begs the question: What happened? What made this school which was ordinary become horrendous? What made its exterior look revolting with graffiti, vegetation, and broken windows? And it's interior in desperate need of repair with wooden creaking graffiti floors, broken lockers, chairs and desks that fall apart easily?
  
  By the mid-twenty-first century, the school's reputation took a turn for the worst. The school began seeing more "troublemaking" students attend. Either being expelled or transferred to Mallory from other schools. Rumors circulated that Mallory was becoming an institution for troublemaking and problematic children. Though it's stated by previous Mallory principals that the rumors were false. Regardless, other schools began transferring what they saw as troublesome children to Mallory.
