Name: Felix Pavarotti
Age: 30
Height: 5'7"
Appearance:
Special Abilities: As far as special abilities goes, Felix is known to bring a wide array of experimental tech on the job. He's designed a few detection apps, that supposedly read auras [think the ripple effect on tiktok], a body scanner that is supposedly able to read higher than normal EMF field within someone [think a modified Geiger counter] - whether or not his detection apps and his scanner work is a mixed bag of reactions. But they sort of do their job and are reliable even if some of the extra features they supposedly have don't - seem to some.
Skills: Technically Felix area of study was in the Pathology of Injury, what causes injury, what are the signs of injury, what causes cellular damage, how does the body recovery from injury. While Forensics has always been a controversial field, he has been trying to take different approaches to identifying wounds in the world of investigation, looking at it from a micro and macro. Later a lot of this applied to an even more fringe area of study, which is possession and identifying the supernatural in others.
Occupation: Demonic Pathologist
Bio:
The Theory on Technology and the Supernatural and How Pathology may be the Answer
Felix Pavarotti
The title alone probably has me laughed out of the science world already. There is no room for the medical field nor the scientific field for fringe sciences. And even the mention of the Supernatural probably has a few folks already questioning my sanity. However, shadows walking across undoctored security cameras, unrecognizable footsteps walking up some stairs, child friendships with invisible beings, dogs and cats barking or hissing into thin air. All of these events have something in common. Something unknown and invisible to the naked eye. Almost every culture shares a belief in the supernatural, but we often explain it away with science and yet science doesn't have an answer for everything. Electronic Voice Phenomenon have always picked up on the answers of someone sentient to a question asked. Ways of explaining this off, have always been voices outside, but the science field knows how sound waves carry a voice wouldn't come so clearly as if someone was standing right next to you. I think that Science and the Supernatural can co-exist and I think the fields of study we have can be applied to the Supernatural.

Strange is probably the best summary of Felix's life up to this point. He'd probably be known as the awkward, quirky kid, that the school had a rumor about growing up one day to be a serial killer or something along those lines. He always had his head buried in the science fiction and horror genres growing up as a kid. His fascination may have been enabled by his grandmother who was supposedly a psychic medium who could see other worlds. His parents paid no attention to it nor fed into it, she was just another old lady with dementia after all. His sister was born the same way. She claimed to see shadows in their home, and would talk to invisible strangers. This was Felix's first ghost hunt really, at ten year olds, he set up cameras in their house to record his home at night. His parents allowed him to do it, in hopes that he would give up the idea once he discovered there was nothing wrong.
Instead there was an archive of doors opening on their own. Shadows walking up the stairs. Strange electric distortions on cameras. Weird time glitches. Felix knew then that his sister and his grandmother may be right. But his parents never really truly believed him. They called them, electrical glitches, and told him the camera was just messing up. Or that he was seeing something he wanted to see. They dismissed his claims, even with evidence in hand. It was the first time a question lingered in his mind, why do some people believe in the supernatural and others do not? What drives one person to be skeptical and another to not?
When he was fifteen his grandmother passed, the funeral never sat right with him even nowadays. Where people spoke about his grandmother like she was completely touched. He didn't believe it. He believed her, that she saw things others couldn't. He also believed that kind of power is what leads people to eventually lose their minds.
At eighteen he did the very stereotypical thing all teens were expected to do. Graduate high school and go to college. In which he was fascinated with Pathology. But Pathology to further his agenda. To create a whole different study of pathology, one that understood the supernatural world and its effects on people. He was considered a lunatic then, as he is now. His parents no longer associate with him after his ridiculous college paper. And his er mental instability after his sister, at the age of twenty-three, went missing with no clues or details, nobody. He is convinced that something saw her seeing them and took her away. His parents are under the impression she was kidnapped or sex trafficked in some way. And could no longer take his crazy ideas. He's not hopeful to find his sister alive. Only the answers as to what happened to her, knowing no one really is going to believe the proof he digs up.
Eventually Felix was approached by a stranger who addressed himself as Cayden during one of Felix's seminars. Just another routine seminar where Felix was actively dismissed by the community he was presenting to. But Cayden was different, he listened, took what Felix had to say. Eventually Felix joined Cayden's merry little team.
