"Do not assume things about me, human," he warned with critical eyes before exhaling and skillfully sliding down the hill of rubble from the small shack. He was at peak physical status so the fact that he could maneuver the garbage and debris was no surprise. With an agitated expression growing by the second, he decided that going home was inevitable.

"Be here at 3 am sharp, understood?" He called up, his tone demanding as always. "If you aren't here, I'll put my money to better use. So... yeah. Depending on how tomorrow goes, I might give you 200. I'm sure there's a lot you can buy with that, huh?"

Now, Celestino wasn't necessarily fond of being insulted and patronised. However attractive he found the man, there was no denying the air of authority and power he held, and that wasn't the sort of person Celestino wanted to interact with. Sure, being around someone evidently so powerful had its perks, particularly financial ones, but it also brought a greater risk, and while he was no stranger to taking a risk or two, being with someone powerful only increased the chances of being caught out. He didn't know exactly what Halzinger did, or who he was, but he knew he had to be in a position of great power if he was happy to shell out $200 for one night of sex.

But that sort of money was also impossible to turn down. It was too important to Celestino to turn away, despite the risk involved in spending more time with Hal. So, however resistant he was for those few brief seconds, he quickly accepted the offer and headed off home. It was a risk that was worth taking in the end. As the weeks passed, Celestino's payments gradually increased, which only had benefits for the people in the building he had grown to see as his family. They were fed well, kept warm and there was general positivity in their little community, all as a result of Celestino's meetings with Hal. He even went through the effort of sprucing the little shed up to make it just a little more comfortable. There wasn't very much he could do, but he did try. At first, he did it to keep Hal from moaning about it and to get more money. As time passed, he made the effort simply to put Hal in a good mood. It was no secret that he found him attractive, but as time passed, he grew to like him more than he cared to admit. Any risk he felt there was being involved with someone like Halzinger soon disappeared. Hell, the bi-weekly meetings he would insist upon, to avoid suspicion, gradually grew into weekly ones, and then almost daily if it was possible.

Not that everything was entirely perfect. Celestino's friends were growing curious about how he earned the money, his other clients were irritated he wasn't so eager to meet with them for cash, and perhaps most distressing, the building he lived in had recently been overtaken by a few humans who initially sought shelter, but soon became trouble. They didn't care to befriend their fellow humans, nor did they want to stick together and pile their resources together. All they cared about was getting drunk, causing trouble for their own amusement and generally being assholes. It wasn't rare to see Celestino with bruises after getting into fights with them, especially when he was usually high and not the best at holding back. He would often wake up, greeted by pain without any recollection about what had happened to him.

That was the situation that afternoon, having woken up in the small burned-out car to realise that he was in agony, with his arm bloody and slashed up from broken glass, and his front tooth chipped in half. Having been high when the fight occurred, he didn't really remember much of what had happened, but he could take an educated guess. His next actions would have been to get cleaned up and seek help from one of the older women in the building who had been a nurse before the Orc revolution, but, with Halzinger to meet at their usual place, he had no option but to abandon his usual routine and dash to the shed as fast as his legs could carry him.

Once there, he gave the Orc a tight-lipped smile to avoid the other seeing his chipped tooth, turning his head in order to speak without him seeing his mouth. "Sorry I'm late, had some fuckin' trouble-- not a big deal. Managed to sneak away from your wife again, then? All for little old me, huh? I'm that special~?"

"Yeah, be thankful," he replied in his usual gruff tone, initially approaching with a small smile - only to drop the smile immediately at the rough shape Celestino was in. Cautiously approaching, it was no surprise that Hal didn't really know how to react.

Orca, as a species, were never a particularly emotional group. Sure they could express all normal emotions but that didn't mean it was easy to express them. Compassion, for example, always came off awkwardly for Halzinger. Despite that, he took the human's cheek and forced him to look as carefully as possible.

"Fuck - what the hell happened to you?" He firmly questioned, his tone being a good indicator of his genuine concern. "Who did this? Was it an Orc? I can talk to them if you'd like..." he suggested slowly, though he knew that the other could understand that 'talking to whoever' meant pummeling the Orc.

It was a strange dynamic. How his wife didn't realize his absence was a mystery to him but one he wasn't complaining over. For the first time in his life he was able to do something on his own terms, not to mention the fact that he was finally able to properly have sex without it being forced. It was more with Celestino, though, despite not quite putting a name to it. He would never admit that it was 'love' but it was clearly something deeper than just sex on the fact that he was A. Willing to spend lots of money B. Genuinely showing concern and C. Continuing the risky behavior of their relationship.

"I'm sure you'd have a nice lil' chat with 'em, yeah? Tell them not to beat the shit out of me. Like that'll happen-- it's fine, dude, I'm fine. It's just a few assholes in our building, they'll leave when they get bored. Besides, I gave 'em a good fight. Only so much I could do against a group of guys, but I'm sure I split a lip or two," he grinned proudly, inching backwards out of the Orc's hold. The concern was nice, but it only made him grow uncomfortable. He was aware that he had feelings for the man, but letting them be known wasn't going to help anyone. This was best if their feelings were purely restricted to having sex, where it was casual and relaxed. Having intense feelings would only complicate matters. Meeting up with Hal only helped to strengthen how he felt, but he hardly had an option - he wanted to continue to see him and he also needed to keep getting paid, even if it made him like Hal more and more, which he wanted to desperately avoid.

"I'm tough. Look at my muscles, man," he snorted, flopping down onto the mattress to search out his supply of drugs under the floorboard, sighing contently at the sight of the bag of pills he had managed to buy recently. He knew that Hal was hardly a big fan of his habit, but after getting pummelled by four or so grown men, he felt he deserved a little something to take the edge off.

"I take it you ain't gonna take one with me, hm? Don't fuckin' judge me, man. Just come sit down and chill with me. We don't need to do anything. I just like being with 'ya," continued Celestino calmly, patting the spot beside him with a wink. "I don't think we'll meet up much more after this. Word's been getting around that the guys in charge around the city are gonna burn down my building-- fro a cheap thrill or whatever. I mean, I don't wanna die, obviously, but I ain't got anywhere else to go. They'll burn it down when I'm in there, it's just my fucking luck."

With a groan, he took a seat beside the other before running a hand through his hair to hide his clear anger. He couldn't give less of a shit when it came to other humans but he couldn't help but get irritated by the other's words. Flopping back on the mattress, he covered his eyes with his arm with a heavy exhale in exhaustion.

"Sorry, but you're not getting off the hook that easily. I've invested too much time and money into what... we've got here so some pathetic human isn't going to stand in my way of getting what I want," he stated after a moment of silence. "Show me where these people are, Celestino. You have something I want that no one else can supply so like hell am I going to let trash hurt you," he explained in an attempt to make the whole situation less soppy while also trying to keep his temper down.

"Do I detect some emotion in your voice, Hal? Well, ain't that sweet? Seriously though pal, it's fine, I got it under control. They're assholes but they're... human. I'm sure they've gone through some shit and this is their way of dealing with it. I take drugs, they use violence. I ain't... gonna have them beaten to a pulp by you. Besides, they'll get suspicious and it'll lead to trouble for us, yeah? I assume you wanna keep seeing me, so you're gonna have to just keep those fists to yourself," he tutted playfully. He did find the offer surprisingly touching, even if he didn't like violence and didn't find it a turn on for someone he liked to threaten others with it. That said, he couldn't expect an Orc not to be violent; it was almost ingrained into their DNA.

"I'm not dead, am I? I can still have sex with you, I'm alright-- you worry way too much about me. I'm some random guy, you could find a dozen other guys like me in this city to fuck for an hour, I'm not that special, dude. Just... forget about it, alright? I don't want you getting into trouble with the main guy who runs this city," he continued, blissfully unaware that he was speaking to that very person. He liked Hal a lot, but he would be decidedly more wary of him if he learnt just who he was. There was already so much risk involved without knowing who he was, after all.

"...We were gonna relocate," he began absently, letting his eyes close as he lazily lit his cigarette. "The folks at my building. We were gonna all move somewhere new before our building got knocked down. It makes sense to leave, Hal. I'm gonna end up dying here if I don't leave-- you're the one good Orc in this place, trust me. All the others use us as punchbags."

"Where are you moving to, then?" He questioned, though it was clear that, that wasn't really what he was focusing on. No matter what Celestino wanted, Hal had no reason to follow it, right? He was in charge of the city and these were mere humans that had no real meaning to him. He would much rather crack some skulls and make sure Celestino safe out of his own selfish needs than listen to the other. After all, he still strongly believed humans weren't nearly as intelligent as his species. After all, they managed to conquer them across the country in less than a year.

"I mean, I still want to see you, Tino," he murmured with a small smile. "Sure, I can go to some other random human but I don't think anyone could be better than you. Prove me wrong and I'll leave you be but until then, I'm sticking to my guns and keeping you around. Besides, you need the cash, right? No one can give you as much as I've got to spare, remember that."

"Is that the only reason you want me sticking around? 'Cos you know I'm dirt poor and because I happen to be good at sex? Seriously, dude? There's, like, no other feelings there?" He asked, keeping his voice as neutral as he possibly could, though it was difficult to mask the emotion that came into his voice. After all, he had growing feelings for Hal that, if asked, he would probably admit to, even if he feared potential consequences from doing that. He assumed that the feelings were mutual, that Hal perhaps had a soft spot for him that involved some feelings and emotions he didn't have for anyone else.

If he just wanted him to stick around so he could pay him and because he enjoyed having sex with him, there really wasn't a point sticking around. He'd rather be poor than be dead, and unfortunately, he was starting to come to terms with dying. it was hard not to when every rumour seemed to be that his building (and the people in it) would be targeted.

"...I'll be fucking out that door in five seconds if that's all I am to you," he declared easily, even though he clearly wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, being far too comfortable to move so much as a muscle, especially now the pill was having its desired lethargy effect on him. "I thought I was at least... a friend to you or whatever."

"... it's complicated," he murmured as a soft pink rose to his cheeks. Sitting up on the mattress, he ran his hand through Celestino's Shirt hair with a soft sigh as he tried to manage the proper words. He wasn't a very romantic guy after all, so it wasn't easy for him to express his feelings in meaningful ways.

"You don't know much about me," he started with a nervous laugh. "There are things I could never tell you because they would just end in you being killed. I know you don't understand how Orcs react to homosexuality but if they were to find out, I'd be in ruins. That being said, I... I do have feelings for you. I wouldn't be risky so much to see you if I didn't."
