Hey y'all! It's been a while since I've been on Iwaku, but since Figment has so suddenly decided to shut down, I've decided to come back. I haven't done much of anything on this site, but I'm definitely gonna start making an effort to get into this community.

Hey there, and welcome back to Iwaku! I'm really sorry to hear about your old site shutting down D: I'm seeing a lot of other people coming over from Figment, and I just want to say that if any of y'all need anything, please don't hesitate to ask. Hopefully Iwaku can become a comfortable new home for you.

If you need any help navigating the site or anything like that, our Newbie Care Package has various helpful links, along with a staff guide if you want one.

Was Figment a general rp site like this or was it themed? I have basically only ever been on Iwaku because I was lucky to find my way here early in my roleplaying misadventures and I would be terribly sad to have to relocate so I imagine you must be bummed :(

Figment wasn't RP- centered at all, it was a website for YA writers, but an RP community kinda worked its way in there through the group feature and the forums. It's pretty bumming, but they are opening another website LIKE figment, but not the same. But hopefully i can get my footing here in this community!

Ohh, I see. That is a bummer, I'm sorry that you lost your internet niche.
I hope that you like it here, though! If you're confused about anything or have questions getting started, the staff are lovely and friendly (red and light blue names), there's the Help Desk area... you can even ask myself or one of the other admin (our names are purple).
It can be a little overwhelming to try to get used to a new site but we're all happy to help!
 
Mars! It's great to find more familiar faces. A couple of us (Jess, plural Kates etc are trying to get things together to continue stuff, so it's good you're here.

Yeah, I am. For some reason it isn't letting me view profiles from there so I've had to track everyone down one by one

If you click on the actual avatar in the clans section, it should be possible to go to the members account from there. :3
