[Samuel x Roman]

"Okay, Godiva has shea butter, macadamia oil, coconut oil and jasmine in it, it makes your hair really soft." Roman's Lush training was kicking in. He really loved his job. "Jersey Bounce has honey, linseed, lemon juice and sea salt and is meant to make your hair super bouncy. And Fairly Traded Honey pretty much just has honey in it, and it's really healthy for your hair."

Roman pointed to each shampoo as he named them and held them up to Samuel's face for him to smell. "And by the way, I don't care what shampoo we use, we're using the American Cream conditioner because it smells like strawberries and cream and it's glorious."

Roman then held up the three soaps he had as he named and described them. "Devil's Nightcap, it has oakwood, oakmoss and orange flower." A brown block with a mossy outer layer. "Sea Vegetable, it has seaweed, lavender and lime oil." This was a sea blue cube with a corrosive top that could be used to exfoliate. He then held up the last soap, which was tan coloured and bumpy. "Sea Salted Caramel. It's exactly what it sounds like."

Samuel listened carefully as Roman explained and showed him all the weird soaps and shampoos while also silently questioned why everything had bits of nature-y stuff in them but didn't comment on it because he was too busy trying to absorb everything he got explained. If you were actually interested in these sorts of thing Samuel was sure the explanations actually said something but Samuel was mostly just surprised over the fact that there was seaweed in the soap.

When Roman had explained everything though he still tried to base his decision what he had been told though, and on the smells, since those weren't that hard to understand, "The caramel one sounds nice? And it would smell nice with strawberry too right?"

Then he looked over to the shampoos, his expression still a little puzzled as he tried to choose one. He had no idea what it meant if ones hair was bouncy, but he did know soft, and Roman's hair was always really soft and amazing but the one shampoo Roman had describe to do that didn't even look like shampoo.

"But I'm also very confused how that is a shampoo" he pointed at the yellow bar, he couldn't remember its name since he had just gotten so many thrown at him,"Isn't shampoo supposed to be like, liquid, Roman, this is all very weird."

"You lather it like a bar of soap," Roman explained, picking up the yellow bar in question and gently dipping it into the water, before rubbing it between his hands. His hands grew soapy and soft. He moved away to sit opposite Samuel.

"Wet your hair."

When he did, Roman gently massaged the shampoo into Samuel's hair, making sure the short locks were well covered with the nice smelling product. He then gently dipped his own head into the water to wet his hair, so he could apply it as well.

"See, it works," he said, setting the bar aside and massaging the shampoo into his hair. "Don't question shampoo bars."

Roman massaging in the shampoo into his hair was probably Samuels new most favourite thing ever, the nice scents and his boyfriend's fingers in his hair were just so incredibly relaxing and Samuel let his eyes shut close as it happened. When he was done Samuel dipped his hair back into the water to rinse it out and pushed his wet hair out of his face.

"I will question the shampoo bars however much I want" Samuel chuckled as he reached out to remove Roman's hands from his hair to replace them with his own, "Here, let me do it,"

Samuel took over the task of getting the shampoo all over Roman's hair, he wanted him to get to feel the same very nice feeling as well and he knew Roman liked it when Samuel played with his hair, which basically was what this was, only soapier.

"There" Samuel pulled away his hair and dipped them in the water to get rid of any shampoo from them, hoping he had done a well enough job, but it was only shampoo, you couldn't really mess that up, "You know, you'd think I would know at least some things about the hair product because of my mum, it's kind of silly that I don't, isn't it?"

Roman could have purred when Samuel decided to massage the shampoo into his hair. He loved it when people played with his hair, and especially his boyfriend, whom he loved very much. Roman dipped his head into the water to rinse the shampoo out, then pushed his hair out of the way and grabbed the bottle of conditioner.

"Your mother would cry if she knew how uneducated you are," he teased.

Once they had repeated the cycle with the delicious-smelling American Cream conditioner, Roman located his face masks, and lined them up on the edge of the bath. He pointed to each as he described them.

"This greyish-purple one is Catastrophe Cosmetic. It has blueberries, calamine, chamomile and rose in it. It is calming and moisturising. This dark brown one is Cupcake, it has rhassoul mud, chocolate and mint in it, and it draws out dirty stuff from your skin. And this pink one is Rosy Cheeks. It has kaolin, calamine and Turkish rose oil, and is supposed to fix your complexion."

"Fix your complexion..?" Samuel mumbled, mostly to himself as he tried to comprehend what it meant exactly, then he decided to just ignore it and just not go with it. Choosing between the different masks felt harder than doing so with the shampoo and all that, since face masks were starting to thread on his line of comfort if Samuel was being completely honest with himself, but it was just him and Roman there and Roman was excited about it and Samuel knew that doing things with his boyfriend that also made him happy in turn would make Samuel happy as well.

"The cupcake one?" Samuel decided with some hesitation, it was the one that sounded the most interesting, so it was the one he settled for "Isn't mud just dirt? I never got how mud could make your face better. Or chocolate? It's weird."

Samuel was laughing a little as he spoke, mostly at how apparent it was that he didn't know anything about what they were doing, and just a little bit to mask the remainder of discomfort he had felt when trying to choose one of the masks.

"Mud and chocolate are two completely different things. And Rhassoul mud is really absorbent," Roman said, as if it was obvious, and opened the container the Cupcake face mask was kept in. He scooped out a small dollop on his fingers and leaned forward to first brush Samuel's hair away from his face, before he began to apply the mask.

He made sure it went on smoothly and evenly, all over his boyfriend's face, though he of course left the other's eyes, eyebrows and mouth bare of the product, as well as his hair, which he secured back with a large clip that he had sitting on the sink. He made sure the mask went on flat, so there was no chunks sticking up. He then did the same to himself, clipping his hair back and using the small mirror he had on the sink to make sure it went on evenly.

"There," he said when he was done and he had washed his hands. "Now we leave it on for fifteen minutes, and we will come out of it feeling beautiful and radiant."

Roman moved so he was leaning against Samuel's chest again, which he found the most comfortable, and added some more hot water. While moving, his leg brushed against Samuel's, and upon feeling his boyfriend's body hair, he got an idea.

"Can I shave your legs?"

Samuel let Roman apply the mask on his face, which was an interesting but nice experience, his fingers against his skin was just as enjoyable as when they had been in his hair but Samuel wasn't really used to having anything like masks or creams on his face, which was what made it a little weird.

When they both had the masks applied on their faces Samuel couldn't help to smile little. The mask looked kind of silly even on Roman, which meant Samuel most likely looked even sillier, but both of their faces would be covered in for the next fifteen minutes, apparently, so it was okay.

Roman laid to rest on Samuel's chest again and for a moment Samuel thought they would spend the next fifteen minutes just relaxing in that position, but Roman wasn't done yet apparently, seeing as he once again was making it known that he didn't like the hair on Samuel's legs.

"You don't think you've already gotten me to do enough things in one day?"
Samuel chuckled and had to stop himself from kissing Roman on the top of his head to avoid getting the mask in his just recently cleaned hair.

"…Okay, you can do it this once" Samuel gave in without even needing any more convincing really. They had had the joking conversations about his body hair so many times before so it would feel redundant since Samuel would probably just let him do in the end anyways. It would make Roman happy and all of the things they had done so far had been really nice and Samuel had a feeling letting Roman shave his legs would be as well, "But don't expect me to keep it up,"

"Yay!"

Roman was unable to hide his genuine excitement as he sat up again. He reached for a spare razor, which he kept on the side of the bath in a small box, and picked up the container of D'Fluff shaving soap. He had a little of bit of everything from Lush, because he got good discounts as he was an employee.

"Put your leg up," he instructed, gently moving Samuel's leg so the foot rested on the edge of the bath and his hairy leg was exposed. He massaged the fluffy pink strawberry-scented cream into Samuel's leg and then carefully began to shave his boyfriend's legs. He was an expert when it came to it, so he did not nick his boyfriend at all, nor did he leave even one hair. He went from the ankles to just past the knee on both legs, before leaning back onto Samuel's chest, twirling the razor like a drumstick.

"Feel your leg, and if you like it, you have to let me do your armpits as well," he joked, though he really wasn't joking.

And so, Roman did end up shaving Samuel's legs, and Samuel's guess of it being nice had been right. It was oddly kind of intimate even if it was a kind of weird thing to do together in Samuel's opinion.

"Don't do that, it's dangerous," Samuel said in reference to Roman twirling the razor in his hand, and reached down to feel his now hairless legs. They were really smooth, just like Roman's always were. Samuel had to admit that he did kind of like it.

"It's nice but don't you think we should draw the line for weird somewhere around shaving someone else's arm pits?" Samuel laughed, Roman had sounded like he was joking but Samuel also knew there was at least some truth to it.

"I mean if you really want it gone, sure," Honestly having shaved legs was probably worse since people could see that, and the contrast between how his legs looked shaved and not was kind of apparent since he had such dark hair, luckily it was winter so he wouldn't really be wearing shorts. But the point was that he could live without his armpit hair if that was what Roman wanted, "and I'm obviously not very good at stopping you anyways, so,"

"I really want it gone."

And so, Roman shaved Samuel's armpits as well, and managed to convince him to let him shave off the small chest hairs he sported on his torso. He wouldn't push farther than that, even if Roman shaved every inch of his own body. He could tolerate the other areas.

"And now, you are a hundred percent more touchable," he joked, just as the timer dinged to indicate that it was time for them to take off their face masks. They did so, and Roman immediately reached over to touch his boyfriend's cheeks.

"See, isn't your face so soft? You look radiant, like women do when they realise they're pregnant."

"What kind of comparison is that?" Samuel laughed and reached up to touch his own face, it did feel soft, "It is very soft yes,"

Samuel was starting to understand the appeal in, he was still wasn't interested enough to keep anything like this up, but he didn't think he would ever complain about joining in on a bath with Roman ever again.

"This was actually really nice, sorry for being a whiny little shit about taking baths before"

Samuel leaned in to gently and sweetly kiss Roman on the lips now that they didn't have a bunch of mud covering their faces, and moved his hands to cup Roman's cheeks instead, giving Samuel the opportunity to feel that Roman's cheeks were equally as soft as his, if not softer, since Roman obviously took better care of his skin, to begin with.

Roman happily returned Samuel's kiss, keeping his hands on his boyfriend's face as he did so. "Naw," he murmured, smiling, "You're adorable. Therefore, I will have to forgive you."

It was a couple of days later, and Roman and Samuel were seated in the living room with -- ugh -- Matthew, watching a movie he didn't really care about. Roman wasn't really watching, he was painting his nails and tuning in and out of the conversation while Matthew ranted about his theories.

Blake was there too, curled up in an armchair, reading a book. Elliot had taken Matilda out on a date and Bella was upstairs doing homework.

"Hey, Roman, there's your wife," said Blake, causing Roman to look up at the screen, where he identified an actress he liked.

"More like your wife."

"Please, you know I'm demi," scoffed Blake.

"Demi? Demi what? Demi Lovato?" Roman innocently teased. Blake just rolled her eyebrows at him.

A couple of days later Samuel found himself on the couch with Roman, Matthew and the pleasant addition of Blake in an armchair, a movie was playing in the background, Matthew had chosen it because it was "decent enough and actually watchable".

Roman didn't seem very interested but he appreciated having him there since he always liked having Roman around, even if it did always make things a little awkward Matthew. His friend was always a lot more pleasant when his boyfriend wasn't around, but today he seemed somewhat civil, possibly because Roman wasn't really partaking in watching the movie for real and thus he didn't feel like he needed to talk to him.

However, he suddenly seemed to be interested in Blake just seconds after an exchange of words between her and Roman Samuel hadn't even really paid attention too since he was busy listening to Matthew ranting on about the movie.

"Hang on," Matthews tore his gaze from the screen and stopped the conversation he was having with Samuel about the characters in favour of looking at Blake with a sense of wonder that was really uncharacteristic and that Samuel generally only saw on his face when he was talking about some character or movie he considered an absolute masterpiece, "Demi as in demisexual?"

Blake looked up when Matthew addressed her, as did Roman. It was impossible not to notice the change in his tone. Matthew usually reserved that tone of voice for things he found fantastic -- meaning Roman had only witnessed it a couple of times in the months he had known the boy.

"Yeah," said Blake. She glanced at Roman, who shrugged, as if to say that he didn't know what Matthew was on about. "Yeah. demisexual."

Roman knew this, of course. Blake was demisexual, and only experienced attraction to women. She was also quite androgynous when it came to her appearance -- she was not non-binary or gender-fluid, but clearly was not strictly feminine. Currently, she wore black skinny jeans and a sleeveless shirt that showed off her arm tattoos. Her hair was very short and she had many piercings.

"Why?"

"Oh, uh, I just haven't met all that many other people who are on the asexual spectrum" Matthew shrugged like he always did when he was trying to play things off as nothing, but it was very obvious that he didn't think of this as nothing with the way his eyes were flickering somewhat nervously and how she shifted a little in his seat to face Blake just a little bit more.

Samuel had literally no idea what was going on, other than the fact that they were discussing sexualities all of a sudden, but he didn't really know what any of the words meant. He decided that it maybe was something he should know if it involved his two friends though.

"I'm sorry, demi?" Samuel asked carefully and looked over to Blake for an explanation since he didn't understand, and to make it known that he was asking her and not Matthew, since if this was something Matthew was personally attached to he could probably rant about it for hours.

"Oh, um, it means that I don't really experience sexual attraction for a person unless I have a strong emotional connection with her," Blake explained to Samuel in a calm and informative tone. Roman had seen her do this with many individuals before because not many people had ever even heard of demisexuality, much less actually know what it meant.

Roman had seen Blake in one or two serious relationships her entire life -- she wasn't the romantic type most of the time, and the two girlfriends she had had in the past she had moved on from by now. Roman wasn't even really sure which celebrities she liked. Her sexuality was rather ambiguous to even her friends, so Roman honestly really doubted Matthew would get that much out of her.

Roman finished painting his nails, capped the last bottle and brought his hands up to his lips to blow on the nails to get them to dry faster. He was engaged in the conversation now, but only so he could make sure Matthew didn't overstep the line when talking to Blake.

"Oh okay, that kind of makes sense," Samuel said with a small nod and a smile at Blake and then turned to Matthew, "Asexual? The short version please"

"not being sexually attracted to anyone,"
he said with a little sigh which Samuel wasn't sure was there because he had to explain it in less than a hundred words or because he had to explain it at all, "you kind of hear it in the name"

"Oh, yeah, I guess," Samuel said because he could have probably figured that one out himself, he just didn't see a point in trying to guess it if he could just ask, and he knew that even when Matthew seemed annoyed by having to explain things he kind of enjoyed it. Since he had gotten his explanation and since Roman was done painting his nails Samuel decided to just lean against Roman's shoulder for a little while, since Matthew seemed more interested in Blake now, anyways.

"When you say her do you mean you're homoromantic?"
Matthew asked with a mix of curiosity of expectancy in his voice until he seemed to catch himself, at which he nervously pushed his glasses up on his nose and continued, "Oh- uh- Or maybe you're demiromantic too? I don't want to assume… That is if you want to tell, sorry"

Seeing Matthew act so uncomposed was really weird, at least in the context they were in. Keeping his somewhat nonchalant image always seemed to be his number one priority when being around people he had yet to get to know properly and this was only really the second time he was meeting Blake. It was kind of amusing to watch, and a little sweet, but mostly amusing.

"Well ... I'm demiromantic too, but I've only ever felt attracted to females so I guess you could just say homoromantic," said Blake with a shrug. She wasn't the type of person to broadcast her labels across the world like Roman did, so she didn't really have a precise and prepared answer when people asked her. In fact, she only ever talked about it when she was asked by people anyway.

"I've never been attracted to guys, ever."
Blake closed her book, but kept her fingers in the pages so she could pick it back up when Matthew was done questioning her. Then her voice adopted a slightly jesting tone as she looked at Roman. "I mean, I made out with Roman like, twice, and felt absolutely nothing, and he's probably the hottest guy on the planet."

"Why thank you,"
Roman teased back, blowing Blake a little sarcastic kiss. Blake chuckled and reached up to brush her short, black hair out of her face.

"Don't feed his ego," Samuel jokingly scolded Blake and patted Roman on the cheek.

"You two made out?"

"Roman has made out with, like, everyone he's met" Samuel informed Matthew and gave his boyfriend a light poke. He had long since come to term with the fact that his boyfriend was kind of a slut when not in a committed relationship, and that he had at least made out with all of his closest friends at some point.

Matthew, however, seemed to have a harder time wrapping his mind around this, "you're okay with that?"

"Yeah, I mean, what am I go? Murder Blake for making out with him before I even talked to him?" Sure Samuel might get jealous easily, but when it came to the people they lived with he was okay with it because he trusted them and knew they weren't actually interested in being with Roman.

"Alright" It was Matthew's usual response when he didn't agree with something but also didn't want to argue about it.

Then the room was quiet for a moment, save the TV, which Matthew seemed to be pretending to watch again, but not for long as Matthew turned back at Blake a couple of minutes later to ask "Soo… What are you reading?"

Samuel gave Roman an amused look, because Matthew's attempts to try to connect with Blake was painfully obvious and kind of dumb since he had had no real interest in her prior to knowing her sexuality.
