This, is National City. Home of CatCo Worldwide Media, Lord Technologies among other things.

National City is a bustling city that lies between Los Angeles and San Diego along the coast of California, and home to several million people.

Of course, strange things seem to happen here on the regular. Strangely, the city seems to take all of this in stride, maybe partially do to the masterful spins that CatCo seems to put on nearly every unusual event.

It also boasts a large university National City University, touted for its teaching and law programs.

Mike Matthews/ Mon-El

Mike really didn't understand why she was hiding from him at first. It took him a minute to realize that he was a stranger to her and she had just met him. He needed to introduce himself and befriend her. Trust was something important and it needed to be earned. He was pretty sure that Kara had told him that.

Well, that answers one of the questions that the woman told me to ask her, Mike silently thought as he looked over at her. He needed to find the right words and choose them very carefully so he didn't unintentionally scare the little girl in front of him. " Are you also thirsty? I can probably find you some food- though this is also my first time visiting here and I don't know where everything is yet."

As Mike seems to look her over, little Molly kind of eases back a little. As if trying to cling harder to the wall. This is a strange situation for her, to say the least. Up until now she didn't go anywhere that she didn't want to. She put herself in places she felt she needed to be. But now... she's in some strange place with some really strange guy.

She slim shoulders shrug upwards a little as she watches him, locks of long brown hair partially concealing her eyes. "A lil…" she says softly, in response to being thirsty. Truth is she was very hungry and very thirsty. Fighting the good fight will take a lot out of you.

He mentions it being his first time here too, and now she pushes only slightly off of the wall as she speaks in almost a whisper towards him. "Was you captured too? Want me ta bust us out? I can do that, ya know. I can rescue ya. That's what I do." She says with a nod, smiling a little. As if trying to reassure him.

Mike didn't even realize that she had tensed up before, but it seemed that she had calmed down. He still didn't exactly know where the kitchen was, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. It was the room with the machine that shoot flames out and the white box that kept food cold. He really wished that Daxam had some of these strange Earth things.

He took the shrug as expected. He wasn't certain what it meant until she mentioned that she was thirsty. He wondered if she had eaten or drank anything before she had angered the police. He hoped that she had, but he wasn't certain what to say in response to what happened

He looked around to see if he could find the kitchen area and he looked over at her and was confused at first what she asked. " No, I am fine. I choose to come here with the woman." He wasn't certain why she was reassuring him. It wasn't like he was a prisoner... he wasn't, was he? He didn't feel like one.

Molly would tell Mike that you don't have to feel like a prisoner to be a prisoner. 12 year old logic.
She watches him carefully as he seems to be looking for something… and he says 'with the woman'… huh that's a weird thing to say. "Ya mean that lady in the neat costume?" She says as she now moves away from her corner of protection, frowning a little to herself. This almost feels like when Provost kidnapped her. But she kicked his butt, too.

She thinks he must be looking for the kitchen or something… he did, after all, say it was the first time he was there. She sighs an annoyed sigh as she now walks to him and reaches up to him as she walks passed him. She grasps his sleeve, leading him into the direction she sees the kitchen. "C'mon ya dummy." It's obvious to her where the kitchen is… you can readily recognize the look of the room. But to someone like Mike who has never really been exposed to such a thing to much, you can't expect a lot. At least not enough for Molly's patience. Or lack thereof.

She doesn't forcefully drag him or anything. Although she probably could. She just leads him to the kitchen, like an adult leading a child. But in reverse order, in this case. She looks back to him as they enter the kitchen, an annoyed tone in her voice. "If you don't know how ta find a kitchen, 'm guessin you don't even know how ta work one. You're the worst babysitter ever, man. And I've had a dinosaur babysit me." She lets go of his sleeve and looks towards the refrigerator, pointing to it as she looks to him. "Food for us is in that thing." Her hands then move to rest on her hips as she stares up at him, as if expecting him to get her food. Or maybe she just wants to see what he does.

Alexandra K AKA Huntress

Alexandra went to answer the door dressed in casual clothing.

Wynn would quickly realize the house was loaded with cameras and security. The property was very large and in the hills. The house itself was not obviously mansion sized, but everything about it spoke of money to him.

There was small talk as she showed him around. The two of them talking as they headed towards the kitchen, the same place Mike and Molly had managed to find.

There was a large island stove top and a huge refrigerator, full stocked. Lots of meat and potatoes style cooking. Lexi apparently liked stocking up on Calories. No diet soda, but there was milk, water and Pepsi cans.

Lexi stopped Wynn to watch Molly for a moment.

Mike didn't understand the logic the younger child had presented to him and he was left scratching his head, clearly confused on what she meant by this and he looked over at her when she mentioned the woman in the neat costume. " Yes, that is who I mean, the lady who has the neat costume. She mentioned something about protecting you because you made a lot of people upset back in National City," he said, using her exact phrasing on what she had told him.

Mike wasn't sure where the kitchen was exactly, but he knew that it was somewhere around here. He really wished he had been given a map of the place. This was after all his first outing to any place besides the time he had broken free from the DEO, but that was a long time ago. He noticed that she had grabbed his sleeve and he took it as she wanted her to follow him. He really wished that he had taken time to get acquainted to what a kitchen looked like back when he had been on his temporary residence. He was new to his whole being an Earthling thing. To be fair to him, most princes didn't get their own food.

Mike was happy that she didn't drag him anywhere. He didn't like being ordered around and he was thankful that she had shown him where the kitchen was. He took a deep breath and looked over at her. " It may be the fact that this is my first time being a babysitter that I have never babysit anyone before," he said. That was a lie. He had watched his little sibling once or twice on Daxam... but then again, he had help back then. He looked over at the box that she had pointed too and he bit on his lip. " I knew that," he said, looking over at her and crossing her arms and went to grab some food for her. She had asked for it. He bit his lower lip as he looked at his selection. What did she want to eat?

Winn was surprised by the woman's normal appearance to say the least.

Winn wondered why she had so much security, but he assumed it had to do with her profession as a heroine. He had been trying to convince Kara to get some tech to protect her, but the woman had refused his offer.

He listened to what she had to say as she showed him the house. It seemed that she knew her house very well and he was happy when he saw Mike and presented the bag with clothes for him.

Mike thankfully found some meat and took it out. Maybe the little girl could eat this. However Winn gave him a look that said it needed to be cooked. He sighed. " Your house is very nice and all," Winn commented to her. He nodded when she mentioned to watch Molly.

[bcolor=#ff6600]Molly Hayes/Bruiser/Princess Powerful[/bcolor]
Molly keeps her peepers locked on Mike as he seems to fumble through the fridge, as he seems unsure what to do next. He mentions Lexi wanting to protect her… Molly's head tilts to one side as she thinks about that… and she kind of gives a little scoff, making a dismissive motion to him.

"First off, they were bein" she says the next word more softly, as if afraid a real adult would hear. Yes, she has yet to consider Mike a real adult. "butts. I saved a guy and then everyone started comin after me an yellin bad words and said they was gonna put me to work in the mines! The mines!" She throws her hands up in the air, as if to express losing her patience. "If they didn't wanna be upset, they shouldn'a messed with Princess Powerful!" She nods, her fists now moving to rest on her hips. "That's my name, by the way. An I don't need no protectin. Things were goin great for me, bad for them." Or the exact opposite, one of those.

She continues to watch him, and now she strides towards the fridge. "Dude you're freakin killin me. Move." She slinks by him, partially having to push him just a little out of her way to get to the goodies in the fridge. "See, it's all right in front of ya." She takes out a pack of bologna and opens it, and she immediately starts to chomp on a slice. As it hangs out of her mouth she grabs another slice and then puts the still open pack back. She grabs a Pepsi, wrinkling her nose. "Mf ihs mfks. Monly fefsi." She says with a mouthful. She shrugs and now moves to the island and sets the bologna on it as she now opens the soda. "Pepsi is rank… but it'll do…" She downs almost half of the can, some of it trinkling out of the sides of her lips. She then sets the can down and wipes her mouth with her sleeve… and belches very loud. "oooh that's the stuff…. Still ew Pepsi…" Yep, she's a real lady. And of course they would notice she didn't get Mike any. Because again she's 12. A lot of her very poor etiquette stems from the fact this 12 year old is a 12 year old.

She now rolls up the other piece of bologna and motions to Mike with it. "Listen pal, ya seem like a really nice guy… or… or whatever ya are." She takes a bite of the rolled-up bologna, and then continues. "So I feel inundated" She means obligated "to tell ya that soon's I get done with this bloney, I'm breakin outta here." She takes another bite, and then a quick drink of Pepsi before she continues. "As bad a babysitter as ya are, yer prolly a worse jail guard. I don' wanna bust ya up, kay?" She says with a sweet smile up to him, then devouring the rest of her bologna. "'m gonna raid this fridge, an Beemo's gonna carry's much as he can. And then we're gone like the ocean." She probably means 'like the wind'. "See? I'm so confident I'm tellin ya my whole plan. That's the sign of someone strong."

She tilts the can of Pepsi back once more and drinks deeply from it as she turns. And as she does… she freezes, her eyes going wide as she sees Lexi and Winn standing there staring at them. She doesn't move a muscle… maybe their vision is based on movement and she can just disappear.

Or not.

Alexandra Kalomoira Aka The Huntress.

"Hello Princess"

Lexi is talking with a smooth level voice. She pulls up a kitchen chair and sits down, never taking her eyes off the twelve year old.

" Thanks by the way Mike, I appreciate you sticking your neck out for us. For the record Princess, my full name is Alexandra Kalomoira. My hero name is Huntress. This is my home. "

"So, before you bug out Princess, let me clarify a few things for you. First, according to the initial police report, the young man you thought you were saving, says he was fooling around with his buddies, when you.. intervened. Second, when I found you, there were a great many angry Police officers on and around that building you were on. When I threw smoke on that roof, I believe they were going to shoot you, many times. You must have scared the crap out of those officers Princess. When I took you from them, I was certain they were going to shoot me until my other friends showed up."

"Lastly, you are not a Prisoner here. You are my guest. Should you decide to leave, I will not stop you. I will contact the three or four organizations that are interested in finding you, a call. Captain America seems to be very interested by the way. "

"So, you should know I have stuck my neck out because I believe young girls shouldn't be killed for losing their temper. I would appreciate you folks keeping my name secret by the way. "

" So, I want very much to help you Princess. You could use training and experience, and I could use a partner. "

Mike Matthews/ Mon-El and Winn Schott

Mike really wished that humans put labels on their food so he could understand what needed to be cooked and what could be eaten straight out of the packaging. It made no sense that the stuff in his mind that this stuff was not labeled as needs heat or needs to be cooked. How did they know these things?

Mike looked over at her and was very confused by a lot about what proceeded in what the girl told him. What the heck were the mines and why didn't she want to work in them? What did she mean by bad words? There was such much the Daxamite didn't understand about Earth and the list seemed to be growing by the passing second and he looked over at her. He blinked and tilted his head. She didn't like any princess that he knew. It just seemed weird that she claimed to be a princess and didn't have a crown or anything that labeled her correctly. He was very confused and wished that he could make sense of this mess.

After a few more moments, Mike was about ready to give up. Wait, how was he killing her if he had never laid a hand on her body? He bit down on his lower lip and looked over at her. He would have figured that out eventually. There was no need to make him feel bad. He looked at the strange meat and wondered what it tasted like and wondered what made this meat needing to be put in the box. He was almost certain that you were supposed to close the pack and he tilted. What had she said to him and what did it mean? How could a princess such as herself lack such manners as common decency and stuff? Didn't her parents raise her to be better? He really wished that he could make sense of what she is saying. " Rank? Is rank a bad term?" He asked. He didn't understand what made her act the way she did and he was confused even more than her burp. He really wished that he had asked Eden more about the people who he would encounter because at the moment, he seemed to be lost on every level that could be given.

Mike looked over at the piece of rolled bologna and wondered if she was offering him this food as a sort of peace offering. It seemed that she was and he was about to take it when she took a bit of it. Well, there went that idea and he sighed. Wait, had she mentioned that he might not have been human? Nobody else was supposed to know about that. How did she know about that? He looked over at her and blinked twice. She had assumed that he was bad at keeping her in line... but he couldn't punch little girls. Kara had told him that you didn't hurt them and always protect them. He remembered when she had yelled at him for letting some fake girl get killed. God, he missed her. He blinked twice, not really listening to what the last bit of her sentence was, but he knew that she was indeed wrong.

Winn looked very confused by what had happened, but seemed to have caught the tail end of the sentence and didn't seem to be too happy that the girl had assumed that Mon-El was weak but he didn't say a word about it. He was a good friend and good friends didn't start fights, even to protect their other friends.

Winn could already tell where this was heading. There were certain tones that he heard before and that was the tone Alex gave before giving Kara a lecture.

" You are most welcome for doing that thing you just mentioned." He didn't want to repeat her exact phrasing as he was afraid that he would botch it in some way. It was safe to say the least.

Winn had not gotten a chance to actually read the actual police report, but based on the brief skimming that he had given it, it seemed to be perfectly accurate to what he had read. He looked over and noticed that in the time that Alexandra had gone to talk to the girl, Mike had gone to the shower area to take a shower area to change into more comfortable clothing. He bit down on his lower lip and hoped that everything was going to be okay, but he was worried about everyone who was here. Thankfully, he had brought his work with him and John was fine once he had cleared up the fact that he believed the girl wasn't an alien.

Mike was thankful for the clean clothes and emerged from the bathroom, wearing the new clothes that Winn had supplied him with and came back into the kitchen and was quiet waiting for the woman to finish her talk with the little girl who he had spoken to.

He also had slide his glasses back on. He couldn't very well not be disguised when everyone else was disguised in their alter egos and he was not. He pushed the glasses ( which made the best disguise ever, nobody could anyone recognize anyone hiding behind glasses) back on his face and turned towards the others. He wasn't sure what to say now.

Mike isn't alone in his confusion of the young girl. Her emotions are often her guiding star, and usually she does what she wants. Especially when she thinks she's not being monitored. Again, she doesn't see Mike as being an authority.

It's said you must assert dominance immediately when dealing with a pack of animals, like wolves. Mike didn't, really, and so she doesn't see him as an authority. Not yet.

And children can smell fear. They feed on it. Ask any nanny.

Now perhaps there will come a time when Mike's fogginess in regard to Molly and her myriad of odd behaviors can be addressed, but that particular moment isn't it. Bigger fish have Molly to fry.

As Alexandra begins to speak, Molly's hands fall slowly to her sides. Alexandra makes it clear this is her home, therefore the Pepsi is hers too. So as discretely as possible Molly sets the ¾ empty can on the countertop nearest her. Her head bows down and her shoulders raise up as she watches Alexandra… while her tone is even and calmed… Molly has been the subject of enough lectures/disciplines to know when she is being subject to one. This is usually the tone Nico took before she grounded Molly. Not angry, not heated. Perhaps it's the calmness of such a tone that is most unnerving.

She looks away from Alexandra a little as she starts to go over what she saw in the police report, and Molly begins to shuffle her feet absently. Fidgeting. Everyone is staring at her while she's being yelled at. Yes she considers this being yelled at. She can feel her lower lip trembling a little as Alexandra continues… and very softly she utters (still not able to look Alexandra or anyone in the eyes) "Chase said I should punch things when coppers point guns at me…" as if to justify the reason she went after that cop car.

The fact she could have been shot… by bullets and not tasers… seems not to phase the child at all. Perhaps an oversight, perhaps confidence.

Alexandra says she isn't a prisoner, and now she discretely looks back to her, her head still bowed down. But when she mentions Captain America, now her demeanor changes. "No nonono they wanna send me back to that awful foster home for X people! They wanna send me to school! School!" She takes a step towards Lexi now, and her tone moves to one of pleading. "I'm sposed ta be…" her own words cut off, as if she is suddenly confused as to what she wants to say.

Alexandra continues her speech/lecture/talking to, but Molly doesn't seem to hear it. Or rather, she hears it but she doesn't listen to it. Her mind is locked now in place. The thought of getting 'field experience', on learning to be a hero and a partner (don't call her sidekick!) is amazing. But…

"I just… I want things ta go back to how they were!" Tears now start to trickle down her cheeks, her mind in a panic, thinking she's going to be turned in. And when she panics, she thinks of 'home'. Not the building she slept in, but the place with the people she loves. The only family she has left. She sniffles loudly as she continues, her tone shaky. "When mommy and daddy w-w-were gone Nico said we have to take care of each other now and then she and everyone decided we needed to explore other… other… streets" She means avenues. She brings her hands up to wipe away the tears from her eyes as she continues in a loud distressed/panicked tone. "Nico promised we wouldn't leave each other! They all did! I don't want Cap'n Merica, I don't want that stupid Avengers school… I just want things ta be like they were before… I want m'friends back together… I want Nico 'Lina Chase Klara Old Lace Xavin even Toaster Victor!"

In regards to Nico's promise about them staying together... it was true. She still means it. When Molly said the group wanted to break up, she assumes it's forever. But they only intended on a little vacation... and the Avengers were nice enough to put up Molly and Klara for a few days.

Perhaps it's abandonment issues for little Molly, but when she sees yet another family part ways (voluntarily this time), her mind and heart tells her she's been left behind again.

Molly is prone sometimes to emotional outbursts like this. It's nothing new, not at all. While her body might be able to take a gunshot, she can bench press a bus without problem, on the inside she is still scarred. From the moment she found out about the Pride her life has culminated into this moment. And all of the stress and turmoil of the past few days have only added to the likelihood of this outburst. She isn't angry at Alexandra, Mike or Winn. She's angry at life. And she can't punch life in the throat… so all she can do is cry.

Alexandra Kalomoira Aka Huntress

Lexi stops and takes a calming breath while Molly is breaking down. She gets up out of her chair carefully. She is aware of her body language and on the off chance the girl is aware of it, she keeps a tight rein on anything appearing aggressive. She gets up and sits in front of Molly, the picture of calm strength.

"Maybe, we can help try and find your friends ?While we do that, you live here with me. Maybe even help each other, teach each other. I could use a new partner since my cousin died. "

Lexi reaches out slowly to gently hug Molly, suddenly in tears herself remembering her cousin Hugo

"We cannot change the past Princess, but I promise you, no one is going to take any partner from me while she wants to stay."

@Camleen @LuckycoolHawk9

Meanwhile, Mike quietly watched the scene and wasn't sure what to say. It reminded him of his past and he didn't want to remember. He didn't want to remember Daxam or Kara or his brother. All of those things were missing and he hated that feeling he got in the pit of his stomach. The feeling that something was wrong and couldn't be fixed. He grit his teeth and was silent, hoping for anything to break the tense. Anything to make him not cry.

However, Winn was already a sobbing wreck from that so, Mike gave in and cry. Nothing stranger than four kind of strangers crying about their pasts.

@Gands @Camleen

[bcolor=#00ccff]Molly Hayes/Bruiser/Princess Powerful[/bcolor]
Only vaguely does young Molly hear Alexandra's words of a partner. It's something her brain will realize in a few moments. For the now, she's just to lost in her own torment.

Why was Nico acting the way she was? Like she didn't care?

Why didn't Chase take her with him?

Why couldn't Klara have not been a butt and come along?

Why didn't Karolina say anything?

She stands before the 3 strangers, and she wipes at her eyes as she cries softly. Sometimes she says she misses the way things used to be… but she hardly remembers any good times. Those sparkling memories only get tarnished by bad thoughts.

And as Alexandra pulls Molly into the hug, she would feel the child tense up. She draws her arms back, as if she were about to push Lexi away. Or throw her through the roof. But she doesn't. She seems to just give up. Molly leans now against Alexandra, her arms wrapped around Lexi's waist, crying into her shoulder. All of that stress and anger from the mess that has been the past few days seem to start to make their way out of her heart. Slowly, but surely.

She pulls back a little, her cheeks still damp and red, along with her eyes, and she glances around at the other adults. Somewhere in the back of her mind she wonders just why they're so sad too. Or maybe they're just moved by the fact someone as powerful and famous as Princess Powerful has emotional moments like this sometimes. Okay a lot, actually.

She seems to just glaze over what Alexandra says about finding her friends. She's not hearing that right now. She sniffles very loudly as her red eyes draw back to Alexandra, and she nods vaguely. "You wanna… have me help you?" Her tone is still shaky, with curiosity mixed into it. She can't fathom why someone would really want her on their team. Even if it's just a team of two.

As she listens to Alexandra, she once more leans against the woman, her arms tightening around her a little. She kind of mumbles into Alexandra's shoulder. "m'real name's Molly…"

Alexandra Kalomoira AKA Huntress

Alexandra had not had anything like an emotional release since her cousin died in that explosion. For purposes of not revealing how much he meant to her in public she had denied her grief. Her own intellect had protested it was not a good plan, but she ignored that.

Now with this child, who at least in Lexi's own mind had nearly died but for her intervention, she had found something to protect. Someone to hopefully be part of her life. Perhaps more than one looking at the other men.

" Hello Molly, my real name is Alexandra, you can call me Lexi if you'd like. Yes, I want people in my life. Partners. I have been alone for too long. I would enjoy teaching you, and learning from you. Like a family Molly. Even Mike and Winn perhaps, if they would like to join us. "

She stood and lifted Molly onto one of the bar stools.

So, who else is hungry ? I make some mean waffles ! "

Mike looked over at him and he sighed. If everyone was going to be honest with each other, he might as well start. " My real name is Mon-El and I guess you would consider me an alien. I'm a .... guard from the planet Daxam," he said. Even when Mon-El was attempting to tell the truth, he sprinkled in a little lie. He didn't like mentioning that he was actually the prince of Daxam. There were things about his past that he would rather forgot and being the prince was one of them. He was silent.

She stood and lifted Molly onto one of the bar stools.

" Nothing special about me. I'm just an ordinary guy," Winn replied.

" Wait, why are you making the waffles mean? Since when can you apply personality traits to... has all the food I have been consuming have feelings??

Looks like Lexi had opened a can of worms and there was no taking any of it back.

Molly Hayes/Bruiser/Princess Powerful
Sniffles once more as she embraces Alexandra. It's amazing just how far a little compassion can go. It could mean the difference between a child bringing your house down, or disarming said child. She doesn't even protest as she's lifted off her feet. Often times she thinks that's a thing 'for babies'. But in this case… she certainly doesn't mind.

Partners. That's the word she used. Not sidekick. Molly… will not… tolerate being called a sidekick. But she also says she wants to 'teach her'…. If she means school, Molly will bolt like there's no tomorrow. Her eyes draw in Mike and Winn's direction as she practically clings to Alexandra, wondering why those icky boys are being invited to their team… ew.

She plops down on the barstool, now smiling widely. Her eyes and cheeks still red from the tears, though. She thrusts both hands into the air and screams. "Waffles!" almost falling off the stool, of course. Her hands whip forward, grasping the counter, her eyes wide. And as Mike speaks, she looks to him, now sitting up on her knees on the stool. "Well duh you're an alien…" Molly says in a condescending tone. As if she knew all along. Well maybe she didn't know precisely, but she knew there was something… off… about him. Just like that jerk who was trying to pretend he was Jono.

She now bounces lightly on the stool as she looks towards Winn, her head tilting to one side. "Well all teamups need the guy who can't do anything. You can… iunno… carry around my hats're something! Or you can be the idea guy! OH you can be the supersneaky guy that talks to the coppers for us!" she says with a nod, as if she has it all figured out.

"Wait what?" She says as her gaze snaps to Mike. "Wow you really are an alien, and not like an awesome Skrull or Majesdanian.…. It means they're way good! Mon-El is a weird name, so I'm callin you Money." She says with another affirmative nod.

Alexandra Kalomoira AKA Huntress

She is wearing an ear splitting grin now watching the young girl. She gets up and starts preparing to make waffles, eggs and bacon.

"Molly, Mon El is our friend and our partner too, you should remember to be nice. I have eggs, bacon, ham and sausage, just let me know, what if anything everyone wants with their waffles. And Mike, one of the many uses of the word mean, is a way of saying something is done very well. Waffles are a bread food made usually for breakfast, do you know the rest ?

Lexi, moved about the kitchen very naturally. As someone who knows cooking and her kitchen.

" The way I've worked in the past and who I've worked against will have to change. Wynn, do you think you can help determine who will need our special attention most ?" You, all of you will find that we have a variety of vehicles to use. Does anyone fly planes or drive cars ? The estate has extensive underground facilities and a large computer lab. My cousin who recently passed away ( she paused her for a moment ) was an excellent technological engineer and designer. The computer was his design as were most of the vehicles. He was my Pilot and that's how he was killed. Do you have questions ? "

She is quiet for a bit while she starts to cook.

@LuckycoolHawk9 @Camleen

Mon-El/ Mike Matthews and Winn Schott S

Winn was quiet, taking a deep breath and watching the scene. There wasn't much to add to it, but it did remind him of his own father. His own father had comforted him back when he was younger and he enjoyed it. He couldn't have known what his father was doing was wrong, he had been so little and there was no way he could have stopped if he had.

There was still a part of him that blamed himself though. A small part that imagined that if he hadn't encouraged the behavior his father wouldn't become a psychopath who wanted to reconnect what he used to love. He knew that it wasn't his fault, but that didn't mean that the guilt that associated it would ever fully go away and he wasn't sure if he wanted it too.

Winn wouldn't mind some food. He couldn't remember the last time that he had something to eat. He knew that it had been a while and his stomach did agree. Some late night waffles wouldn't be the worst thing to have, perhaps he could enjoy eating it and he tried not to facepalm when Mon-El casually mentioned he was an alien. He really needed to work on the man's social skills so he didn't accidently drop that information to the wrong person and get them in trouble. He was honestly surprised that the whole world didn't know Kara was Supergirl based on that one little line. He bit down on his lip.

He barely noticed that Molly had turn to speak to him. " I mean, I can also hack if you need me too. I broke into a top-secret government server on more than one occasion for more than one reason. I also am good when it comes to understand foreign langugages. I know the language of Kryptonians," he said, smiling, proud of that particular accomplishment,

" Daxamites are really awesome, I mean, I am super strong and I can move really fast... and stuff. Or you can just call me Mike. I am cool with you calling Mike as my normal name and Money when I am in my superhero costume," he said to Molly.

" Oh, I didn't know that. I feel kind of silly then. I do know what the rest are. We have similar back home."

" I can probably do that. I also can tinker with the tech if you don't mind."

Molly looks to Lexi as she is told to be nice. She shrugs and looks back to Mike curiously. She IS being nice! But it's very possible her definition of nice and other's definition of nice are very different.

"Daxamite… never heard of 'em…" she mumbles as she watches Mike. And then she seems almost offended with what he says next. "Hey. Hey. Hey." She turns on the stool (still sitting on her knees on it) and faces Mike. She points to herself with her thumb as she speaks to him. "I'm super-strong, man. Like… way more super-stronger than you. So when people ask, you gotta tell 'em that. I'll be Colossus and you be Rogue. Ya know, still strong and all. Just not super-super-strong like Colossus." She says with a nod. Now she sees a problem. A team can't have 2 super-strong people on it! That's just redundant. The team hasn't been together 10 minutes and she's already irrelevant!

She is about to respond to Winn, when Lexi goes into her resources. She turns on the stool once more (almost slipping off that time) and she stares at her wide eyed. "I can fly!" No she can't. "I can drive!" No she can't. She now hops up and down on the stool excitedly. "Can I have my own secret lair! OH we need to make a fort! I want a pink dune buggy! OH can I have a giant robot! Do we get to drive through holograph rocks to get into the garage?! Can we have cars that like link up" she slams the sides of her hands together as if to illustrate "and then becomes one giant car and THEN a giant robot?! OH eggs!" She suddenly leaps off of the barstool, stumbling as she lands, and sprints towards Lexi. She grabs a bowl and some of the eggs, obviously intent on helping.

At this point it should be pointed out…

She's not usually this… hyper. But this moment in time is a good one. A good one she's been needing for weeks now. And so of course she's happy.

And she glosses over what Lexi says about losing her cousin… the child simply has no wish to dwell on anything related to death or anything bad. Not right now.

She breaks an egg open and pours the yoke into a bowl, getting much of the egg on her hands. Which she doesn't seem to mind. She listens to what Winn says… "So you're not an ordinary guy, Winnie." Yes. Winnie. So yes. She looks towards him as she hefts another egg up, looking as if she simply intends to smash it in the bowl. "You're super smart! OH!" she sets the egg down abruptly, pointing to Winn. "You'll be the Chase of our club!" then she points to Lexi "And you'll be the Nico of the club!" She then points to herself "I'll be the Molly of the club!" She then points to Mike "And you'll be the Xavin of the group! Perfect!"

The plan had gone well. At least, a lot better than it deserved. Mac Beveman had not only found a way to keep his alien visitor near him when on tour, but had added her to the payroll as well.

The inclusion of a female "shark" costume in his dancing cast of characters had done very well for itself, even if in the actual song had clearly been referring to the sharks as men. Starr was in shape and could move. In time, she might even move well. If he could keep check on her impetuous nature for long enough.

He remembered something about a mutant with light powers who openly used them in concerts living quite a tragic life. It was not a thing he wanted to see happen: but for now, it would be best that the mute alien stayed in his company until she learned enough to go out on her own.

He simply didn't know who else to trust.

The alien picked up on his emotion just as she always did, and smiled at him. He could pick up on hers too: slightly confused but very amused. She was having fun with this bit of oddness they were engaging in, even without really knowing how odd it was or why it was odd.

"Allright boys, time for me and the shark to be headin home. See you down the road" this quick departure was the one clue that things might not be quite right: he used to be social after the shows." Again, the shark dancer was her own explanation. He just hoped his band was getting the right wrong idea about the two of them.

"I do believe this thing is workin out for us, my little Starr." he told the shark, knowing he needed to convey this satisfaction.

Just before he was ready to move on with things, there is a sound coming from the other side of the curtain, the sound of widespread fear.
