Danganronpa 2: Second Times the charm

After taking a moment to give a concerned look towards the scene that was happening around the snobbish italian-looking guy, Sasaki replied to Dirk: "Sure, I could use a hand. You're Dirk, right? Nice to meet you." he took another quick glance at Salvatore and then slowly started walking deeper into the island: "You really don't know what an hotel is?" he asked with a slight hint of disbelief.
@Cabob7

"I-I mean, I have some idea!" Dirk said, flustered. "There aren't many 'hotels' underground, I'll have you know. Just, lots of rocks, metals and gems." Dirk paused for a second to strect again then picked up his pace. "I don't come to the surface often, man. It's weird seeing all this, water, all at once. I'm used to lil' rivers every now and again, but...an ocean..." Dirk looked out at the sea, "I've never seen one before. So anyways, in all seriousness. What, is a hotel?"
@Aravhorn

"Well, an hotel is like a big house where people stay while they're on a vacation. Y'know, like when you go to the surface after a long mining expedition to take a day-long break, and then go back inside the mines for another expedition... Or something like that. I don't know much about mining, to be honest." Sasaki shrugged.
As they were talking, they stumbled upon a dirt path that seemed to be man-made. Huh, it seems like that Monomi girl wasn't lying after all. There is human life here... Or was, at least. Without giving much thought, they decided to go down the road and see where it leads.
"Speaking of which, I'm curious what is it like to be a miner. Did you stumble upon any forgotten underground temples or gem-filled caverns during your expeditions?" he asked, half-joking.

"WAIT WHAT!?" Seth frantically got to hid feet, scrambling to pull up his pants, and buckle them.

"P-PERV!?" he glanced at the girl who groped the woman claiming to be their teacher before he focused back.

"IF YOU'RE GONNA-" he was cut off by her turn in attention towards the others.

"Uhhh. I was gonna say, if you want a pervert look at that girl!" he pointed at the hooded girl, but it seems that everyone was gone, and when he turned back to the girl, whom he found out was a photographer after introducing herself to the group, of which, from the info of the teacher made their way to a hotel.

*Sigh* "So it's gonna be like that. Joy." Seth started to make his way behind the other students to the hotel and market. He remembered even in the chaos, that the hooded pervert girl was heading to the market. She may be wierd, but from the sound of things, she knew how to party, and better yet, how to drink.

He could use some damn bourbon, and whiskey.

"Eh. Fuck it."

"Umon... ," Rin repeated. Now that name did sound somewhat familiar, at least more so that the girl's first name. "Umon... Umon..." ...Ah, of course! "You parents must have contacted me for you. That must be why I didn't recognize your first name; we had never actually met. Well, good to meet you, Megumi. And I do have to say, you add to my legs nicel- I mean, my legs look nice on you- I mean... Gah. Ahem. Never mind. ...Yes, my name is Rin," the scientist awkwardly tried to shift the topic.

Meanwhile, Monomi had come back, blabbering something about everyone's memories being messed up. Well, no wonder, considering they apparently were just in an airplane crash. Had the rabbit-thing never heard of something called shock? Whoever grafted those ears of her onto her head must have damaged some brain tissue or something, and not in any useful way either. That said, she did mention a market that all sorts of supplies in it, which he could use for all sorts of interesting things. At about the same time, some other kid mentioned making a rocket to get off the island. Well, it wasn't exactly his area of expertise, but hey, he could try? Besides, if anything was going to get them off of here, it would be the power of science! A radio, a boat, a giant robot to carry them across the seas; whatever it was, science would guide them towards the answer. "Well, staying here won't do us any good," he said to Megumi. "How about we go check out the island? Maybe take a look at that market rabbit-gi- I mean Monomi was talking about?"

"A pleasure to meet you too, Rin. If only it were under better circumstances..." Megumi had to bite her lower lip to keep from giggling as he commented about looking nice. She missed that kind of attention-all those boys who had idolized her had grown rather...wary of her body after seeing what happened from the waist down. And the guys who were interested in her new body were usually very...hm.

But no matter! If anything, Rin seemed harmless enough, probably not the type to make crude comments as others here hsd taken to doing. Upon hearing his suggestion about the market, Megumi nodded. "That sounds like a good idea," she replied, still disappointed in how she had lost all her belongings in the crash. "As long as I don't have to pay for anything. I'm pretty sure my wallet ended up at the bottom of the sea too." Would the market here even be running? Was this island inhabited by other people? Only one real way to find out.

@Neobullseye

Rocketpunch Market

The Market looked like any other large island superstore, unassuming from the front yet massively stocked on the outside. Surfboards, massive jugs of cola, some survival weapons, packs and even some camo gear for island exploration, there was a massive selection of items there. The aisles were as empty as everywhere else on the island, devoid of life save for the pink rabbit girl frantically looking around trying to locate her missing student.

Hotel Mirai

The Hotel has a large complex around it with about sixteen cottages, each with a student's face on it. The faces were pixelated of course, oddly specific design choice. In the very center of the complex was a fresh looking swimming pool filled with inviting waters and right next to the Hotel was an older looking building.

Empty of human life as well save for...Tinami?

Apparently she'd given her teacher the slip at some point, and was currently staring at the cottage with her faceplate on it while bobbing her head, the trip to the market was evidenced by the new pair of black and white headphones she had on and a long stick of jerky she was idly munching on.

Oh yeah. Paying. That would pose a problem. Sure, Rin had plenty of money to finance his interests (turns out that titanium is not cheap), and from what that kid who wanted to sue the beach or something screamed, said kid had a lot of money too. However, none of that mattered when you didn't have a wallet or credit cards on you. Eh. if worst came to pass, they could just, ahem, borrow the goods. It wasn't as if anyone would complain about it, right? "Eh, we'll cross that bridge when we reach it," Rin shrugged as the duo walked towards the market.

Some time later, the duo arrived there. Surely enough, aside from the rabbit-girl who also went there, there wasn't a single other soul in sight. Still, the shelves were utterly overflowing with food, drinks and whatnot, just like you'd expect from a supermarket. What you most definitely would not expect, however....
"Ooh! Look at this!," Rin exclaimed, picking up what looked like a set of binoculars with face-straps and odd-coloured lenss, apparently not having noticed the fact that the supermarket was completely deserted. "Do you know what these are, Megumi? These are night-vision goggles! Real, actual night-vision goggles! Isn't the human brain a beautiful thing? Though our body may be weak, our mind allows us to modify reality to our bidding. We can see in the dead of night, hear in the deepest silence, restore life to what was once dead, even leave our very planet! All thanks to glorious science! Ahahahahahaha!"

Oooookay, now Megumi was starting to have her doubts about this guy. She was getting major dork vibes now, seeing him flip over something like night vision goggles. But...she really couldn't judge-he was really all she had at the moment. "Oh, yes! Quite fascinating..." Feigning interest in his science talk, the ballerina started looking around the wares of the market. "Oh!" There they were-clothes! Pretty ones, too, and...please please please...yes!!! Jyst her size! Megumi rushed to grab a sundress, but then stopped. Hold on...if a dress was taken, and no one was around to see...would it still be shoplifting? The last thing Megumi needed was a criminal record. But, luckily, it seemed like someone could help her. Spotting the little rabbit girl, Megumi approached her. "Um, excuse me! Miss, uh...Monomi! Do we just...take what we want?"

The Market

Monomi cringed as she checked another aisle only to find her student still missing. Pausing to grip her head, the bunny girl tried thinking hard on where she could've gone.

It was during this intense internal trial that she was interrupted by...another student...

Monomi gasped loudly "You aren't at the Hotel? Oh no, are my students just wondering about this place aimlessly?!?" the bunny girl shook her head a bit more before standing straight "You two need to get back to the Hotel as soon as possible, there could be so many dangerous things here we don't know about!"

After that she seemed to grow a bit unconvinced at her own words, her eyes looking around the store as she continued muttering "Not like.... we've seen anything dangerous yet... but even so...." she began before remembering the question asked to her "Stealing is wrong!" she said with conviction until that conviction faltered as well "But then... hungry students need to eat... and drink... and clean up... and have access to the appropriate medical service- Essentials! Yes yes, only take the essentials we need until Sensei-Monomi can find someone who can help us."

"That's acceptable... I think?" she said before waving it off and pointing to the two students "You two need to stick together, nobody here goes anywhere alone!"

She walked past them after that, swiftly making her way towards the exit "I have to make sure everyone's with someone!"

And so changing her priorities from simply finding Nami to checking on all of her students, the Bunny darted out of the store.

As time went on, the sun began to set, the island giving the sunset a beautiful view to the closing of the day. The water reflecting the orange rays and the shadows cast on the sand, stretching until the sun disappeared from sight

"A big vacation house, huh?" Dirk cocked his head in thought. "I suppose here that makes sense." Dirk just followed Sasaki idly, just taking in the tropical surroundings, in awe of the place. "Uh-oh! What do I find down in the ground?" Dirk said, lately reacting to Sasaki's question. "Lots of rocks." He responded with a huge smile. "Rocks upon rocks upon rocks. Occasionally you come across some metal, or some gems, and you get all of that you can, then you go further, or deeper. And it's pretty dark down there. Light's stubborn and doesn't like being so deep that all the air is stale." Dirk shrugged. "What about you? What did you say your ultimate you was?"

"I said Nueclear physicist not rocket scientist bird brain, but you do have a good idea. Though one problem, where we getting the materials? And pleasure to meet you cook." he spoke rather casually. These must be the other students for Hope Peak High. I guess my infiltration starts now, and that stupid scientists. I hate his type, the one that always gloats and sees single mindedly that science is everything. Gah! I hope i don't have to be around him much.

Noticing the sun was setting fast he decided to the hotel the others mentioned. "It's getting dark, better get inside before more weird shit happens. Go on ahead i gotta grab my stuff." he told them as he went over to grab his dufflebag that was next to him when he first woke. With that he started making his way to the hotel guessing it general direction. "Hurry up slow pokes or you'll get left behind!" James yelled at the remaing members of the beach feeling irritated by the turn of todays events.

As the fairly rude boy yelled in Ryuu's face, Ryuu was on the edge of breaking out into tears. The chef hadn't meant to be rude, but that was what happened, their plane had crashed here. Or so they'd been told. Ryuu didn't know what to make of it outside this boy was now yelling and cursing at Ryuu. The Ultimate Chef silently told himself he'd never make it on Hell's Kitchen if this was what it was like to be yelled at in real life...

Suddenly the other boy backed off to complain about his clothes and Ryuu never knew he could be grateful for someone's clothes being ruined. Ryuu let out a sigh of relief when the other boy was out of his face. These people were all scary... it was hard to believe they were classmates. Maybe they weren't all bad, it was just the unfamiliar environment and the fact that no one remembered the plane crashing, Ryuu rationalized. Being used to ending up somewhere unfamiliar and not knowing how he got there, Ryuu didn't panic as he probably should have. He knew how to handle somewhere unfamiliar, but... for some strange reason he didn't feel like pulling out his phone. Probably that he figured there wasn't a signal wherever this was.

Suddenly, the boy who had been cursing turned to Ryuu greeted him and extrended a hand. Ryuu nervously took it, "uhm, I'm Ryuu Takamoto. But y-you can call me Ryuu. I don't like honorifics... uhm, I'm also the Ultimate Chef..."

The sudden addressing and introduction of the Nuclear Physicist caught Ryuu off-guard again. Ryuu desperately wished to be in a kitchen rather than the beach, but a girl who popped up walked off towards the group going to the hotel.

"W-we should probably get going towards the h-hotel? I-I don't have a great sense of direction... and I don't want to keep the teacher waiting either... if you guys don't mind, that is."

Sal shook Ryuu's hand his grip firm but not to strong, as a businessman's grip should be. He the. Released his hand, flashing a arragant smile at Ryuu."Nice ta meet cha kid. As I've said I'm Salvatore, but feel free to call me Sal."He said brushing some of his hair behind his ear, and then placing a hand firmly on Ryuu's should. "I'm the Ultimate buissnessman, or at least that's what they call me." Suddenly he was walking towards the hotel, pulling Ryuu along, as they walked and talked. Sal figured he needed friends, people who trusted him, and he knew he could trust. This wasn't the kind of situation he could be making enemies. So he would put on a nice smile, and act all nice, and junk. Which is exactly why he ignored the bird brain comment from the nerd.

It wasn't long before they made it to the hotel. Apparently some teacher, or chaperone had ordered them to come here. Sal frowned, just thinking of how they got stranded here pissed him off. But he quickly turned his attention to the cottages. Sal released Ryuu's shoulder, which he had been gripping rather tightly up until then."Okay, what tha hell is this bullshit?! I thought we crashed? Well not only was there no sign of a plane crash, but these cottages have our fuckin faces on em! Is this some kind of fuckin joke? Is this all just some big elaborate ploy?"

Sal asked clenching both his fist, and jaw, a vain throbbing on his forehead showing how irritated this was making him. Placed his clothes on a chair, and took a seat on another chair next to it. Intertwining his fingers, and resting his mouth against them, as he tried to calm down. He needed to figure out what exactly was going on. Why were they brought here, who was responsible? His first thought was his fucking lunatic cousin. They never did get along, but even he wouldn't bother doing something like this. Unless he had pissed off the wrong people, and as a result got Sal caught up in one of his messes."Fuckin Sven, you best not have anything ta do wit this."He mumbled to himself, now scowling at the pool.

After a couple of minutes Pahn arrived at the hotel, thankful that it was so easy to find. Other students were already investigating the cottages, and Pahn figured the rest would be soon to follow seeing as the sun was setting: hopefully that would distract them from exploring the rest of the hotel for now. Walking into the lobby, Pahn checked that she wasn't in anyone's view, then began looking around for strategic hiding spots. There wasn't much to work with, but Pahn did spot a sofa that seemed like it might be large enough to conceal her. Strolling over to the sofa, Pahn bent down behind it, trying to see how well she could fit behind it- maybe if she just moved her rear a bit to the right…

Sasaki listened to Dirk with curiosity. It seems like life as a miner has its charm... For a moment, he imagined himself being one, but after figuring he would probably trip over a rock and fall into a hole the very moment he stepped into the mineshaft, he quickly discarded that idea.
"I'm the Ultimate Mathematician. It's not a terribly exciting talent like of you guys, but it sure can be very useful at times." he briefly rubbed his neck and looked up. "Huh, looks like it's getting late. We should probably hurry."

As they picked up the pace, a few minutes later they arrived to an open field. Not very far away in the distance, there was a large building with several planes standing next to it.
"Hey, look, there is an airfield over there! Let's check and see if there's something we can use to get out of here." Sasaki said as he jogged towards the airport.

Indulf decided now would be a good time to introduce himself to those remaining on the beach.

"Hello. My name is Indulf Weinstock, Ultimate Painter and cherisher of beauty. This island is more than sufficient in that sense…and now that formality is over, I'm going to pay a visit to this hotel."

And with that, he strolled away from the group, humming softly to himself as the ocean breeze ruffled his hair. He told himself that he was only going to the hotel out of necessity; if he didn't know how long they were going to be stranded then it made sense to have a look at where they'd be staying. But really he knew that it was more to do with the girl who'd slyly taken the opportunity to take a picture of the flustered boy when he was at his most vulnerable…she was the sort of individual who intrigued him, who piqued his curiosity and enabled his obsession. Fortunately, it didn't take long to find her snooping around the lobby, cautiously peering behind one of the sofas.

"What are you doing? Have you seen something interesting down there? Because I can guarantee it's not half as interesting as my view."

Soli arrived in front of the shop and quickly Luna switch in and again, turn the brooch. She laughs as their bunny-teacher darted fast out of the store and then Luna glances at Megumi and Rin.

"I would say, anything that can protect ourselves would be a good idea. I do not trust that bunny lady, I do not trust this island and the whole plane crash bullshit. My name is Luna, and we would adapt to our best to survive," Luna says as she grabs a mountain vest and goes take a folding knife, small bandage, a bottle of painkillers, a bag of trail mix, and a flashlight. She stores them all into her pockets before grabbing a can of energy drink, pops it open, and drink it all in a few gulp. She seems to almost spill the drink out from that fast drinking but she holds up.

"We have to go together to that hotel," Luna says, she does not even bother to asks politely.

Dirk looked curious. "A math-mat-ition?" He tried to say it. "So what do you do? Something to do with numbers?" Dirk asked curiously. "I've never been good at math, just at swinging my pickaxes...speaking of which where are those things? I know I had them with..." Before Sasaki and Dirk got to search for much of anything a loud growl erupted from Dirk's stomach. "Can we...let the planes rest for now? It's getting late, and we can eat and sleep and come back the next day?" Dirk asked with a yawn. "I at the very least need some fuel for myself before we do much more searching."

Sal seemed nice... for the moment. What was about suits that made people so angry? Ryuu wondered how stable of a guy this Ultimate Businessman actually was. More importantly, why was he still waiting around on the beach? People started to leave, and he could have left with them instead of with the unstable crazy guy. Ryuu knew he had missed his chance when suddenly Sal clapped his hand on Ryuu's shoulder and started to walk off.

He was smiling the whole way and making small talk, but Ryuu was just waiting for the man to snap. To take his mind off the inevitable crazy, Ryuu pulled out his notebook and started to write in it. He added things about the island and what was going on, but quickly it devolved into different ways to cook coconut and how to be make it's flavor non-repetitive. If that's all they had for food, eating the same thing and making it over and over again would lead quicker to the eating people. Maybe he could contribute this way and he wouldn't be totally useless.

Then Sal started screaming and Ryuu just about jumped a foot in the air. "To toast the coconut, spread the shredded coconut on an unlined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius oven for about 12 to 18 minutes, stirring a few times while it's cooking, so it toasts evenly!" Ryuu blurted out, pulling his notebook close. Once he had a moment to relax somewhat, Ryuu also noticed the cottages.

With their faces on them.

"I... I don't think we should do anything too crazy yet... s-someone wanted u-us here. Let's just d-do as our teacher says and g-go to the hotel before it gets too dark. Otherwise, w-we'll be out here alone. I-i-in the d-dark." and Ryuu did not want to be in the dark on a spooky island with a weird teacher who could barely manage to keep anyone in line. Plus... Ryuu could swear she said something about memories being mixed up.

"I don't wanna be out here in the dark when so many things are wrong... or spooky..." Ryuu said, trying to walk towards the hotel, but moving towards the building next to it instead.
