The Boar Hat.
The sounds of laughter and indistinct chatter filled the air of the small tavern. Men and women laughing and having a grand time while filling their stomachs with warm food and drink. It wasn't long before one curiously exclaimed, "Hey! Where'd that waitress get off to?" he asked to no one in particular as he wiped some foam from his mustache and lay the now empty cup on the table. A few others chuckled and nodded in agreement, looking at their own low or empty mugs. Not a moment later was there a loud thud that emitted from one of the doors behind the bar being kicked open and roughly banging against the wood. The sound caused a nearby male to abruptly awake from his nap with a startled jump, almost knocking him off the wooden chair he rested upon. He shot an unappreciative glare at the one who had caused the ruckus. Standing in the doorway was a female who stood at least a foot shorter then himself with bright eyes and a charming smile, arms toting a large tray filled to the brim with a variety of different colored spirits. She slipped a hand from under the tray and held up one of the cups as she chimed happily, "Did someone beckon?" The question brought a few low cheers as some raised their hands for her to come over. The waitress made her way across the floor with grace as she set the cups down in front of those with raised hands first, and then dispersed the rest to anyone who didn't already have a cup in front of them. No sooner than the tray was bare did she start filling it back up with the now empty cups from the last round to get washed in the back.

The crimson haired male who she had awoken went just in front of her to hold one of the doors to the back room open as she approached with a mountain of dishes. He made it appoint to give her a glare she couldn't ignore as she walked past and he followed in behind her. She grinned at him playfully as she placed the tray on the counter, leaning her elbows on the counter and resting her head in her hands. He sighed and pulled up a chair, plopping himself into it lazily as he rubbed his eyes. "That's only going to make you more sleepy, you know" she warned as she reached one of her hands over and fixed a part of his hair that was out of place. He let out a low growl and swatted the air around her hand. She only shook her head and took her hand back, wiping it on the small, lace apron that adorned her waist. He only continued to glare at her, his golden eyes fixated on her icy blues. She finally replied with a sigh as she shook her head. "It's the middle of the day." she scolded. He grinned and stood up, now looking down at her "Which is exactly why you shouldn't be going around kicking doors. You know this is when I nap" he teased. "What I know is that you should try doing something in the middle of the day and actually sleep at night." she teased right back as she headed back out into the main room. He stretched and turned his head about, cracking his neck as he muttered to himself, carelessly dragging his feet towards the door that swung behind the girl.

As he entered the room, a new face came in, making his way to the bar, the sunlight coming in behind him took him off guard and stopped him for a moment as the breeze came in and rustled a few posters adorning the walls, knocking on off and onto one of the tables in the corner. Once his eyes adjusted better to the light, he went off behind the bar to tend to the newcomer that seemed to slip by the seemingly ever social and busy waitress. He took a deep breath and flashed a smile to the newcomer as he got settled into the stool. "What can I do for you, friend?" He offered politely, grabbing a cup from under the bar. The man grabbed a small satchel and dug out some coins, placing them on the counter. taking several coins out to place on the counter. "Just something to wet my lips will do just fine" he smiled brightly, accentuating the deep wrinkles of his sun-darkened face. On the other side of the bar, the wanted poster was taken up by a customer who scanned over it curiously, eyes widening as he read the name.. Kofuku, Fox Sin of Greed it read, just below a black and white picture of a young short haired female, a soft grin painted across her lips. He quickly nudged a man to his side, holding up the picture. He only responded by hitting the paper out of his hand. "You know those things are just for show, no one has heard anything about them in years." he turned to another man sitting at their table with an overly confident look on his face. "I doubt they even exist, am I right? Parents just use them to scare their kids into listening." he got up and playfully imitated a mother scolding her child, weight on one him as he wagged his finger and talked with a higher pitch in his voice "Now you better do as I say and go to bed, or the Seven Deadly Sins will come get you" his voice cracked and he laughed, roughly hitting one of the men on the back. They laughed together, but the word spread around the tavern, some mocking along with the man, but some spoke fearfully and curiously, a more serious demeanor to their conversations.

While the waitress seemed to ignore all of the talk as she went back and forth refilling drinks and bringing food cheerfully, the man seemed to fine-tune himself to listen to each conversation. "Sir?" the man at the bar asked nervously, cutting into the barkeeper's thoughts. He turned his gaze to the man who now looked more serious and uncomfortable. "Hm?" "What do you think?" he paused "All that about the Seven Deadly Sins, I mean." He only shrugged and poured the man a drink "I don't think there's any reason to worry. He's right, no one has heard anything about the Sins in years. The last that was heard, there was one wandering around in an old, rusty, beat up set of armor much past it's prime. Some speculate that they're looking for the others, But I think it's a load of crap" he chuckled, subtly lying to the man. It was a rumor, one of the more popular at that, but he did also believe it to be a load of crap. At least people would feel safer thinking they'd be able to recognize one by a loud old clunky piece of crap set of armor, right? The newcomer offered a hesitant smile in return. "I suppose that's likely, after all-" he was interrupted by a loud knocking at the door that seemed to silence the whole tavern. "Who the hell knocks on a tavern-" The male sighed and made his way to the door. "It's an inn, you don't have to-" As he opened the door for the mysterious guest, which was revealed to be, in fact, someone in an old, rusty, beat up set of armor. It stood there for a moment, then fell to the floor, causing a loud commotion, and the rest of the customers to scramble out by any means necessary. "Are you kidding me?" he said, annoyed as he looked down at it. "Well get him to the rest room in the back." the waitress told him.

Several hours passed which the pair spent cleaning the place up and talking about the conversations from the short day. "So did you hear anything of value earlier?" The male asked, looking at the Seven Deadly Wanted Posters. Well, at that point there was only four left with the addition of the fox sin which he pinned back up next to the armor clad picture of the captain, Korin. The waitress smiled and shrugged before continuing to pick up. "Nope. But then again, I was busy." she teased. "Just more rumors is all.." she continued, a little more serious until her attention was turned to the back door which slowly creaked open, a brunette haired male clad in dress pants, a loose-fitting black shirt, and a light grey overshirt lazily draped over one shoulder. "H-Hello" he shyly muttered, slowly emerging from the doorway. "I was uh.. I'm-" The girl interrupted him "Aren't you the king's son?" she asked bluntly. Both males stood shocked and stared at her for a moment. She exchanged glances between the two for a moment. "What? Well are you?" "Well, yes but how did you?" He shook his head "Yes, i'm Aidan. I was hoping I could get some help."

As they all sat together, Aidan explained to them a plot he believed to be happening with the holy knights and the higher ups. He didn't know much for specifics, but he thought that there was only one thing he could do to get help. And that was to find the Seven Deadly Sins, and get them to help. So he escaped the castle by night and has been wandering around trying to find information on the location of the sins. He explained that the armor was so that he wouldn't be so easily recognized because some holy knights had been sent out for him and that there was now a warrant and a reward to bring him back home. The crimson haired male dusted himself off and stood up. "Sounds like you could use some help. Although I guess not much, considering you've already found your captain; and i'd say that's a pretty good start" he grinned at the prince as he began to roll up his sleeves. Aidan watched him curiously, gesturing to him, then is arm. "Y-You? Doesn't Korin have a tattoo of a dragon on his upper left arm?" He looked at the prince wide-eyed for a moment before he busted out laughing, bringing a confused look to the prince's face. "You hear that Kor? I told you so!" he continued to laugh. The blonde rolled her eyes as she got out of her seat, dusting herself off. She glared at the male for a minute before stopping just before Aidan. "I'm Korin, actually. This is Jace" she smiled, unbuttoning the top few buttons of her loose dress shirt to reveal the tattoo on her left arm he had mentioned, "And yes, she does" she corrected, extending a hand to him, though he only looked at her dumbfounded and embarrassed. "Wait wait wait wait wait" he shook his head, "Impossible. Korin is over six feet tall, and i've met and talked to Korin, when I was a kid. I never saw him out of his armor, but he had a voice like, well, like a he would." he stated matter-of-factly. Jace folded his arms and looked at her, gesturing towards the back with his head, "You're going to have to show him" he insisted, going ahead of her to one of the back rooms, the only one that was locked.

The tumblers clicked and faltered and Jace pushed the door open, letting the other two in. One of the only things in there was a large trunk which Korin swiftly opened and gestured for Aidan to come look. It was undeniable, that was the captain of the sins' armor. There wasn't another set like it. She awkwardly placed the helm over her head and spoke to him, her previously soft, melodic voice now low and masculine sounding. "You see, it was enchanted for my brother, who was much taller than me. he used to be a platinum rank Holy Knight, when I was little. Well, the voice thing was supposed to help protect him and make him seem more intimidating, along with the extra couple inches on height and bulk. But with the enchantment, it'll fit any of our blood without a problem and without the appearance of the armor changing. I thought surely people still knew that I was a woman though. That'll be interesting to explain to the rest.. Especially Koko." Aidan continued to stare at her in disbelief, though there was no doubt about it. "Koko- Kofuku?! I've watched her get beheaded and just put it back on! And you call her Koko? We had to put her in a high-security jail cell. An ENTIRE building to herself because no matter how many times we tried to have her executed, she wouldn't die.... Koko?" Korin shrugged, "Come to think of it, i'm not sure she ever approved of that nickname.. Oh well. We'll have plenty of things to... settle, then." she stopped "Wait.. We? Meaning you know where she is? Specifically what jail and cell?" He looked at her and hesitantly responded with a soft "Yes. I would have gone there first, but.." "Yeah, yeah, the fear is implied.. Well, I guess we ought to be going, then!" she chimed, placing her fingers by her mouth and emitting a loud whistle. Jace calmly sat down and looked to the prince. "Yeah, you may want to hold onto something, dude."

Located very far away somewhere was it, Ah! the most secure prison in all of the kingdom. Only the most dangerous of criminals were allowed to be there. Oh how many criminals are in there? Currently in this prison the great solid number of one. The prison was shaped somewhat like a mutated mushroom of sorts. Now let's go inside shall we.

Darkness was all there was only the occasional amount of light when someone would open the small viewing slot on the far end of the room where the door was. Sitting promptly in the back of the room was a long haired woman, her hair had grown quite long since being here, whether or not it was comfortable was up to her. She had been impaled through every major limb, several times, poles sticking in and out of her, though she wasn't touching the ground. Chains wrapped tightly around her limbs and head to hold her back, and a giant mouth gag preventing her from speaking. Outside was a well lit hallway where two guards stood. I mean this was one of the seven deadly sins. One of the guards spoke up. "You think the sins are really all as powerful as you think" the other answered. "I'm not sure cause it only took a couple of holy knights to bring in this sin" Out of nowhere they hear whistling, in the toon of some tavern music. "Hey wheres that coming from?" a guard asked. "I don't know" They both turn to look at the door, about to open the viewing hatch, the whistling was replaced with a soft sneeze, first one, then another, then it stops. Back on the inside the woman's mouth gag was no longer there. Sniffling she whispered "Someone must be talking about me"

This is Kofuku the fox sin of greed. Why was she in this prison? Well for being a sin ya big dummy. Anyhow she let herself be captured in the hopes that some pain would make her feel better about her past. She was actually starting to get quite bored of it.

"Did you hear about that rusty armor somewhere out in the middle of nowhere" Ok fine just interup- "Yeah supposedly he's looking for the seven deadly sins" The guards started to talk again interrupting me let's just ignore them for now. But to this made Kofuku grin. It was most likely the captain she thought. She started to giggle to herself uncontrollably just loud enough for the guards to hear, Thinking of all the fun she and the captain were going to have.

Holy Knight Sigrid
The Sin of Greed, Kofuku, was within these walls. A prison built to house a single one criminal, one individual so dangerous that they had no other choice but to put her under lock and key for what can be presumed to be for an eternity. The story goes that she was put to the chopping block, beheaded, and survived, reattaching her head back to her body as if it were a mere annoyance. Yet, the other story goes that she was easily taken in, and subsequently imprisoned in this oddly-shaped construct.

Sigrid tightened her grip on the reins of her horse, and gave an extended vocalisation of her displeasure in the form of a sigh. She didn't like that news. Was it on purpose, that she had been taken in? It can't be possible that the Seven Sins had grown weak or complacent over the last ten years. If they had, then what had she been training for? She shook her head, and steeled her glare to face the soldier at the gates of the prison.

"Ave!" The guard saluted from atop his tower. She had drawn her cloak over her head, like a hood, but it was not enough to hide her place in the Liones military, it seemed. Without a question, as it was best left to the Holy Knights to decide what they should be doing, he called to a hidden compatriot behind him, and the gates slowly opened up in front of her.

To tell the truth, she wasn't here on any official orders. Were it only her decision, she would have left the Holy Knights long ago. She hadn't, yet, since it offered her privileges such as uninterrupted entry to certain places even with her low rank. Places such as these ones. She hopped off her horse, landing heavily on the cobblestones, and handed the reins to a guard that came up to greet her. She only nodded in the formal exchange of pleasantries, choosing not to expose herself as much as she already had to. There were many knights with a blue cloak and a remarkable steel armor, but there were only just so many who came to a secluded prison. The guard offered to take her weapons, but she declined, keeping them close to her. If the Seven Sins were as dangerous as they said, she had a feeling that she might need her trusty spear.

She made her way down the prison, guided by one of the many staff in the place. It was a fruitless venture, Sigrid thought, to build such a dungeon to store only one prisoner. Much of the resources could have gone elsewhere, such as supporting the peasantry, perhaps aiding in agriculture, progress in technology...she inadvertently sighed, then, realising she had just done so, covered her mouth with a hand, apologising to her host, who gave her a quizzical look. The walk was arduously long, almost needlessly so. The sound of her armor clanking echoed throughout the hallways, and she was starting to see why most of her comrades preferred it if she wore less of it. That, and she was beginning to miss the lighter fabric of her usual casual wear: a fair tunic, and a pair of dark brown trousers, often her go-to when she frequented her favourite tavern, the Boar Hat.

She was thirsty, she realised. She had gotten to be quite the alcoholic, it seemed. Drink, now, almost solved everything for her. The worrying state of Liones' paranoid political situation, the Holy Knights being less of what she expected when she was a child, and the conundrum with the Seven Sins became a dream when she downed her mug of amber fluid by the dozens. She suppressed another sigh, and just in time too- she had arrived at her destination. She nodded again in thanks to her guide, who left, leaving her in front of what she supposed was a well-reinforced door, stationed with...two guards.

Her head hurt. Two guards for one of the Seven Sins, who slaughtered hundreds of Holy Knights in less than an hour. What on earth were they thinking? Was this their first line of defense? Holy Knight or no, two was a number too small to even make a difference to any of the Sins. Sigrid struggled internally, having half a mind to start writing a report to her higher ups, before she won over her perfectionist side. She just wanted to learn what she wanted to know, and get the hell out of here. The Gods be damned even if the Sin escaped. Keeping her cloak over her features, she motioned to one of the guards to open the door. He looked unsure at first, but at the sight of the golden eyes glaring at him from underneath the shade cast by her hood, he quickly obeyed. Sigrid did not let him even try to pull open the door, and instead did so herself the moment the tumblers clicked aside. She stepped in swiftly, and shut the door with a grinding groan from the door, and tapped the door to make sure the guard locked it. Sigrid rested her shield and spear at one side, and lit her lantern, illuminating the dark room by just a little. Ahead of her was the figure of a woman, speared through her every limb and pinned to the wall behind her. Chains wrapped her up, like a grim Christmas present, sealing her in place. Sigrid stepped forwards, and seated the lantern in front of the Sin.

She drew her cloak close, keeping it over her silver hair. She was so close, so close to the one that killed all those knights, left their broken bodies in that accursed castle, strewn about like ragdolls. Yet, she had only one question, a question that had been brewing inside of her for all this time. And when she said it, there was no anger, no sorrow, nothing of the sort. There was only curiousity.

"Why?" was all she wanted to know, and was what she asked. "Kofuku of the Seven Sins, she who rose from the dead even after her beheading...why did that happen, ten years ago?"

Kofuku sat there impaled, with her head down when the holy knight came in. Kofuku could sense her presence, lifting her head slightly. Her long locks covering her face and parts of her body. She sighed in annoyance, she wanted the captain to hurry up and come get her so they could play like they used to. A smirk grew across her face, one single thought etched itself into her mind, giving her the smirk of a madman. "Why?!" she gave herself the thought of playing with these toys til captain got here. "Well isn't it obvious I'm.." she stopped "hmm actually why should I tell?" said in a curious fashion. "Hmmmmmmm?" Kofuku grinned further giggling a bit.
