@alaska
The Sylphaer have a unique social structure where those with the greatest of merits become exceedingly influential and therefore, in control. Those who do great deeds are recognized and oft elevated into a higher status. Those with the "higher status" are referred to as members of the Sylorah Court. Within the Sylorah Court there are two types of people: the Traditionalists, those with great deeds during their Walk or within the mother realm (The Floating Isles) and the Heretics, those who make it possible for the Sylphaerian's to conduct trade and business with outside countries, who protect the mother realm with blood and fire, and keep the realm from falling into chaos. The Traditionalists greatly outnumber the Heretics and yet each is as influential as the next.

Halflings actually grow quite fast – until they hit puberty. Once they cross that threshold they receive an onslaught of magic that most believe halts their aging process to a small climb. A Halfling, with the average maturity and common set of skills and knowledge of a mid-twenties human, would be around the age of 55-60.

There is a one post every two weeks absolute minimum. The only exception to this rule is when someone (players/characters/GM) is waiting on your post in order move the roleplay along. When this is in effect, that absolute minimum is one week. If you cannot reply we'll discuss how to best move forward with/without your character and or arcs/plots.

Now, for the next question, which I'm glad you asked about because I've yet to touch on it —this roleplay isn't PG13; violence will be explored, relationships are bound to be nutured, and the overall tone of the story we'll be collaborating is mature in nature. Yet that doesn't mean everything goes. This isn't a Star roleplay and all of Iwaku's ToS apply here. Violence should be handled with care and respect – I want no trigger warnings because I need people to read everyone's posts, in their entirety. It keeps the roleplay cohesive and is one of the foundations of roleplaying itself. With that said, yes, you can write violence but I want it done tastefully. Give your readers more credit; imply, use your context clues, metaphors, etc. There is a way of describing violence without outright describing every horrific act.

Sorry this is so late guys! RL has been insanely busy.

@everyone

Queries have been opened. If you have a serious, roleplay related question(s) please post a thread with the proper prefix. The F.A.Q. will be created by the end of the weekend.

I figured I'd just give a heads up that the basic infos below the character name (where you list species and age etc.) is super hard to read. It's very light in tone, and barely visible against the white background. The D&D Alignment grey is definitely more readable.

Thanks for letting me know! When I get home I'll fix it.

Hey Mate! So I want to start making my character but I'm not sure where to post the application (in the Character sheet thread, it says it should be posted in its own thread?). Which is kind of vague... So I'll assume a blog post is fine? Or do you prefer via PM? Or let me know where to create that thread hahaha

Opening day is to day Yay :)

Posted in it's own thread, within the directory - If you scroll down you'll see "Example Thread" posted - that's what Rissa means.

Though I'm not 100% sure she's ready to open for character sheets, just yet. I'll have to double check.

MBTI is Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Not sure what Rissa has planned for the plot/arc yet.
