"Tacos, maybe?" Lucas said after a moment of thought, considering what she may of had in her fridge and what he craved. He raised an eyebrow for a 'yes' or 'no' response and went on a little. "I am in the mood for tacos."

He sat up from his spot and asked, "What do you want?"

Lucas gazed at her briefly and moved his eyes to to the floor to search for his and jeans. With them only being beside the bed he found and out them on with ease and turned his attention back to her.

"I'll cook for us both."

"I am content with tacos," Claudia said with a dazzling smile as she climbed out of bed. She didn't even care that she was mostly naked. The only think about her body she wasn't confident about was her stomach, and he had seen it before.

She hunted down her underwear and put them back on, before stepping down from the platform her bed sat on, entered her wardrobe and pulling a tank top out of her drawer.

"I don't really mind what we have as long as you're happy," Claudia said to Lucas, kissing him on the cheek before going downstairs with him.

The Lightwood kitchen was as glossy as the rest of the house, with shiny appliances and even shinier benches and fridges. She sat down at the bench and smiled at him.

"Bring it on, Gordon Ramsay," she said to him.

"Oh, I will. If you're home alone for many hours, you learn a thing or two about how to cook." Lucas rolled his eyes good-naturedly and even amused. "Let's see..."

Before he could start prepping anything, he peeped around the Lightwoods kitchen, trying to get a feel of the place. Never had he cooked in place this spacious. It was almost abnormal to him how glossy and pristine it was compared to his own at home.

So, he poked around in the cabinets, shelves, fridge and freezer and pulled out all that he needed. And when he got to work, he minimized the mess as Mich as possible, even cleaning up directly after, he didn't want to disrupt anything by leaving traces. But in no time at all, he was finished, and set down her plate in front I'd her.

"For the lovely lady." He winked playfully.

Claudia sat at the bench with her chin resting on her hands, watching him cook. She found herself deliberately looking for beauty in his movements and coming up abundant. Even his smallest movements, like the way he sliced onions or scraped an ingredient into a bowl, seemed beautiful and graceful in Claudia's eyes.

She knew she was in love, and it didn't scare her anymore.

"I express to you my most humble gratitude, good sir," Claudia replied pompously as she was handed a plate. She grinned at him, poured hot sauce onto her taco and dug in.

She made a little moan of contentment. "Shit. This is great," she told him happily, reaching over and rubbing his knee affectionately.

Lucas grinned, utterly proud of his meal, ecstatic to know that she enjoyed it and he happily accepted her affections. "I do try."

"You're the only one outside my family who has had my cooking."
He picked up his own filled shell and dug into it, happy with the results. Whenever his mother wasn't around, which was always, he'd have to prepare his own meals, not having anyone else to help him at first. It was a rough start, but eventually, he got there.

"You know what would go absolutely delicious with this? Virgin Margaritas." Non-alchoholic, because alcohol consumption could possibly be the worst for him.

Claudia put her hand on her chest and feigned shock. "Lucas! I would never have expected such atrocious behaviour from you! Drinking alcohol. Tsk tsk."

She grinned to let him know that she was joking and finished up her delicious tacos. They really were quite good and Claudia was impressed.

She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. "Very well done."

"Like l said, I try." Lucas whirled a finger in the air carelessly.

He took her plate and set on top of his empty one and stood up preparing to wash them in the sink. "So, miss Light wood? Whatever do you do when you the entire house to yourself?" He asked, truly curious as to what she did do.

Lucas himself had adapted to the presence and noise of her brothers in the household. It was sort of weird not seeing them around. Almost lonely, almost anyway. Because how could he feel that way when she was around.

"It's really quiet."

Claudia didn't mind the quiet. She didn't get all that much of it because most of her time was either spent at school or at home with her brothers. It would be a lie to say that the house was a lot more quiet since Tate had left, but she wouldn't say that to Lucas.

"Usually I stay in my room and read," she said with a small shrug. "We all do our own thing most of the time so it's not that much different to them being home."

Claudia stood up and padded her way over to Lucas, standing behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist. She kissed his back and sighed happily.

"But I'm fine with whatever you want to do."

"What to do?" Lucas mused as he rinsed their plates and set them in the dish rack to dry.

He twisted off the handle to the faucet, cutting off the water and turned around in her arms to face her."We can just do exactly that. Spread out and read." He smiled and put his arms around her waist with a kiss to her head.

They had the right atmosphere and he didn't care to change it too much. "What type of books do you possess?" He questioned, rubbing her back. With the practically a library house he lived in, there were always options and he read just about anything and everything.

It was odd, but Claudia realised that she would actually be perfectly content just sitting down and reading with Lucas in perfect silence. That was what it meant to truly be in love -- she could sit with him and just read and still have the time of her life.

"I have some novels, some psychology textbooks and a couple of collections of original fairytales and mythologies."

Claudia led him up to her bedroom and stood in front of the large bookcase that covered up an entire wall of her bedroom. It was so tall she had a rolling ladder attached to the case, like in libraries.

She gestured broadly to the shelves. "Pick anything you like."

"Okay..." Lucas trailed off, looking through her shelf carefully.

He skipped out on the psychology, he already had enough of that in his life
And instead went to pick up a mythology book. Mythology always interested him in an amusing way.

"What sort of mythology do we have here?"

He questioned, his hand hovering over the book shelf as he silently read titles. It was a lot to select from, so maybe with the sub categories in mind he would have an easier time finding a book.

Claudia looked over to see what he was holding and tilted her head to read the title. "That would be Greek," she informed him, before ascending the ladder to find a book of her own.

She located a book on Egyptian mythology because she hadn't read it in a while, and stepped back down. Her tank top just barely covered her underwear, leaving her long legs visible.

She lead him up to her bed and absently kicked her jeans off the platform before sitting down amongst the messy sheets.

Lucas laid down on her bed, his head in her lap and opened his book on Greek mythology.

"I think the best thing about mythology is how fucked up the stories are. It's super amusing." He smiled some as he flipped through the pages. "These stories kind of changed my perspective of Percy Jackson."

Lucas went quiet after finding a tale he hadn't read in a long time. He lowered his book and rolled off his back and onto his side to read in a more comfortable position.

"The best parts of the stories are the fucked up parts,"
Claudia said softly, before going silent to read a tale she hadn't read before.

Since Lucas's head was rested on her bare thighs, she took some pillows and rested her head on them and balanced the book on her chest so she could read the book comfortably.

Claudia couldn't be more comfortable. She was rested on her bed, in comfortable clothes, with an interesting book and her amazing boyfriend beside her. She couldn't have been happier.

Lying there with Claudia, reading in tranquil quiet, it was the most at peace he had been a while. Specifically since his fight with Tate. It had felt like one thing after another had thrown itself at him and each time he was unprepared. But the moment he was in now was bliss and if could stop time if only to stay in it for a while longer, than he would.

Honestly, he had no idea how much time had passed when he shut his book close. He had got lost into it faster than he would have thought he would. All he knew was that at the very least an hour or two had flown by.

"Hey, what time is it?" He asked, still in his place.

"Hm?"

Claudia had been so lost in her book that she had almost -- almost -- forgotten that Lucas was even there. She set it aside and checked the time on her alarm clock.

"It's nine pm," Claudia told him.

She shifted so she was propped over him, and she gave him a kiss on the lips before pulling back and looking down at him with puppy-dog eyes.

"Can you stay?" she asked in a cute voice. "Pretty please? It's Friday. You could stay the entire weekend. Brogen texted me saying they were going up to their friend's lodge and they won't be back till Sunday night."

She leaned in and pecked him on the cheek.

"We can watch movies, read books, make out, make love, eat food, cure cancer, conquer a small country, anything you want."

"How can I say no to that face? I simply can't." Lucas grinned and moved to sit up and face her. "I don't have any of my things. And I can't ask mom or Norman to bring them over either. They'll be working late. So..."

He flopped back down onto her bed with an exasperated sigh. "Do you have an extra pair of clothes and grooming items lying around that I could use?"

Either way, he was staying. She asked and wanted him to
So, of course he had to.

c l a u d i a

"But of course."

Claudia kissed him on the stomach and stepped down from her platform to go into Quentin's room and find a thin T-shirt for Lucas to wear, as well as a pair of shorts. She returned to her own room and found a spare toothbrush in her bathroom.

Claudia went back up the steps and set everything on the bed beside Lucas.

"Now you have no excuse for leaving."

"No, I really don't." Lucas snickered, very much happy with the outcome.

"I am now bound to you for the entire weekend. I thirst for your attention and affections, so you'll have to cuddle me the whole night." He was only half-joking, the dark haired blonde would have loved nothing more than to be in his girlfriend's warm embrace for all of the night.

Lucas picked up the garments and toiletry she nabbed for him and smiled. "I'll take a shower first and then we should watch a movie." He suggested, sitting up.

"Okay. Don't drown."

Claudia picked up the TV remote and turned on the flatscreen TV that hung on the wall adjacent to Claudia's bed. She flicked through Netflix until she found a movie called Se7en, which she had seen but she thought it was quite fucked up so she wanted to watch it with Lucas.

"You in the mood for seven deadly sin murders?" she asked her boyfriend as she came back with a bowl of popcorn and two bottles of Coke.
