You say that as if it's a bad thing >w>Never accept gifts when entering into the magical land of Iwaku. You'll either get stuck in the Church of Gwazi or sacrificed to the Ferret Cult.
@~Happily.Ever.After~ @Golden Anime @Vio @Kagayours - whoever would like to jump at this first! :DAlllrighty, so! While all of these offers are amazing, I think I'm most interested in #5 (big sibling) and #6 (recs)-- even though I did already get a rec from the lovely Kagayours, I have a bit of reading to do, and I'd like to see what else is out there!
Mostly I'm just looking for a little help on learning site etiquette. I'm an artist & coder myself, so I'm not too in need of the graphics and whatnot... but as far as learning this site's "normal", I admit I have a tendency to get lost in text reading up. Of which there is an enormous amount here, and it would be impossible for me to read any significant percentage.
RP Request PackagePreferred Roleplay Genres: Light-hearted fantasy, modern-magical. Think Steven Universe & Adventure Time vibes. Other kinds of fantasy & speculative fiction are great, too, s'long as they aren't too gratuitously violent/dark/gruesome/etc.
Prefered Roleplay Types: Group, 1x1, Chat
Other Preferences:
(+) Not too fast of a posting schedule! ;u; Multiple rounds a day in group RPs is gonna be too much for me. (With 1x1s, I'm a bit more flexible-- I just don't like holding everyone else up in groups if I can't get to posting.) Generally I'm quicker with 1x1s than group RP... or if there's like, scheduled times for group rp...
(+) Generally I post a paragraph or a few per post (with exceptions in logical places), but I'm flexible.
(+) RPs involving birds get bonus points. I love birds.
Awesome! Your guide is going to be @Sen :) Welcome to Iwaku! And don't forgot to fill out the request forms if you want some free art and recommendations; feel free to ask Sen or any of us if you have questions :DHelllooo! I'm interested in this!!
Hey Renn! Thanks for checking out the thread!Hey! Because I'm objectively terrible at learning to navigate new sites and am a college kid and therefore a huge fan of free things that help me out I'd like to put my name in for this?
@~Happily.Ever.After~Okay so! Cashing in one of those recommendations *cracks knuckles* Correct me if I do any of this wrong.... (am I supposed to at someone or...?)
Preferred Roleplay Genres: I love modern fantasy/street magic sort of set ups that mix slice of life and modernity with elves and witches and elementals (or future fantasy oh my goodness magic and science developing side by side to create worlds in which space travel goes hand in hand with the fae? SIGN ME UP). They are absolutely my jam.
I also adore more classic themes as well - high fantasy is something I have a lot of experience in, as well as non-fantasy historically based stuff (though, again, where these cross over I am ALWAYS GAME I love mixing things together), especially when the politicial machinations of a shifting world are involved.
I love sci-fi! But where I can write pages and pages detailing the specifics of a scene or the like in other genres I'm super limited when it comes to sci-fi because I'm just not very knowledgeable with it. So something not particularly fact or hard science driven would be more my speed here, honestly.
Anything that focuses deeply on character development and interpersonal growth is also super interesting to me - especially in a 'delving into the psychological aspects of a character's actions' sort of thing? If that makes sense?
Prefered Roleplay Types: (Chat/Group/1X1, etc.) 1x1 is my fav honestly because I don't have to stress out like crazy about holding up a bunch of people if I can't post for two days, but I also enjoy slower paced group roleplays that are multi para and above. Anywhere between two to six players would be ideal honestly.
Other Preferences: I prefer longer replies because I tend to be a bit verbose, but a slower paced roleplay in terms of reply schedule because I'm super busy with school and work on top of roleplaying?
I'm absolutely okay with adult themes and very okay with romance (of an adult nature or otherwise) but don't require it.
I prefer to write with people who are over eighteen? If that's a factor. Because if it does end up going somewhere NC17 I am an adult myself and that's just some seedy business right there (pun fully intended)
I tend to play multiple characters! I have trouble limiting myself to one.
I think that's it?
