Genres
I'm open to a wide range of genres. Obscenely wide. It's harder for me to list all I do like than all I don't like.

My favorite settings are fantasy combined with something else, multiverse, post-apoc, historical (mixed with something else), and futuristic. I'm not limited to those, but it's a good start.

My favorite genres include mystery, adventure, action, drama, tragedy (must be mixed with something else and kept balanced), romance (again must be mixed, and more.

I'm happy to include elements of slice-of-life and romance, but doing them on their own doesn't hold my interest indefinitely.

Jenna waited in the alley, desperate for someone to come along. he'd meant it this time, and she knew it. Her life was riding on the success of ths make shift trap. She tapped her peg leg on the uneven stones of the alley in frustration. She saw something and stilled her nervous energy. Willing them to come closer.

Maya ran down the alley after her precious kitten. "Fifi...come back!" she called into the darkness. suddenly she was under a pile of rope and boxes. Before she could scramble to her feet the ropes tightened and a lady was standing over her. "Hi...did you see a white kitten?"

Jenna blinked and smiled a wide smile quickly catching herself and this PERFECT opportunity. "A white kitten? Well you know.I DID see one...let me show you where it went."

Maya smiled brightly, "Oh THANK YOU!!"

Jenna should have felt guilty but she didn't. This was her life after all and it was dog eat dog on the streets. "Let's get you untangled...lucky I saw this all fall on you."

"And lucky you saw Fifi too!" Maya beamed adoringly.

Jenna led the young girl down a maze of alleys thought the darkest area of Lagos' underbelly. They finally came to her master's tents and stepped inside, "Right in here Maya..." she said and nodded to the master of the women there. "As you requested ..."

Maya went inside willingly and started to look under pillows and baskets. "Here Fifi...."

The master watched amused and delighted. Truly this was the most innocent soul he'd ever encountered. "You are forgiven jenna...return to the house...make yourself profitable."

She nodded and left them. Maya continued her search but turned to the large man seated on the high pile of pillows, "Is Fifi up there with you?" she asked. "Miss Jenna said she saw her come in here."

"Fifi?" he asked.

"My fluffy white kitty," she replied.

"I don't know....you can look if you'd like."

She smiled brightly and climbed up to look. and let out a gasp when she felt thick ropes wrap around her. She was then tossed in the corner.

The large man smiled looking evil glancing at his watch, "Ten past twelve...perfect..."

He left here there confused and terrified and tied to a post tightly.

Jenna snuck back in quietly with a shapr pair of shears and cut the ropes. "Run maya...run fast and far...go...I'm sorry...run..."
