HaydenLavisky and Devilcake

Jayken had a nice smile, Hannes noticed as the other smiled at him, and now that he had gotten him to agree to come out and do things more maybe getting to see that smile would be his new goal.

"Glad to be of help, I guess" Hannes laughed and shrugged. He liked helping people, it was nice to make an impact on someone no matter how small, although sometimes Hannes thought he did it more for himself than other people, to validate himself in a sense. He tried hard not to think things like that, though, and this time he really did feel like it was more of wanting to show Jayken what fun could be had than anything else, "If you want to you can join up with us for breakfast tomorrow?"

Hannes had no idea who 'us' was yet, sometimes he would just sit down at a random table and see what happened, even when the people he regularly hung out with already was seated somewhere else. If Jayken were to come with he'd try to sit with some people he knew he could trust at least.

He didn't really know why he had started to get so hell bent on getting Jayken to join in, though, maybe it was a little weird to be so insistent on it. Jayken had just thanked him so he didn't seem to mind and Hannes hoped he'd come along for breakfast and thus stay for the rest of the day tomorrow.

Hannes was being really nice to him, even though they barely even knew each other. It really confused him, but he was also very grateful for it. His plans had been to stay inside all summer, whether it be at home or here, but Hannes had helped him outside, and even diminished his fear.

Hearing Hannes' invitation to join him for breakfast, Jayken nodded, moving his hair from in front of his eyes when it had gotten in the way. "Yeah, actually. I'd like that. And I appreciate it." He said in a soft voice, the smile still on his lips before he looked out on the lake once more, letting out a soft sigh. "Do you have any plans for the rest of tonight? The guys in the cabin were talking about games." He said, speaking to Hannes, though keeping his eyes on the water.

"Mmm... no i hadn't really planned on doing anything" Hannes had planned on continuing to play cards outside before he caught up with Jayken, which he was glad he had, but a quick look back to where the people he had been playing with seemed to have packed up their things, "Games sounds kind of fun though, you wanna go do that?"

Hannes wouldn't mind sitting there for a while more really, it was really nice out and even if he was a guy with a lot of energy who'd bounce around from activity to activity a lot he could switch over to being calm and do things like sitting on a pier to enjoy the evening as well.

If Jayken wanted to go to the cabin he'd be just as cool with that, though. He could maybe introduce him to some more people, and actually be able to have some fun himself as well.

Jayken let out another hum, thinking about what he wanted to do. "Let's stay here for a bit longer. Then we can go inside and play some games." He said with a smile, leaning back on his arms and resting his cheek on his shoulder as he inhaled the clean air before letting it out in a content sigh.

They stayed there for about an hour before going back inside since it was starting to get a bit chilly as it neared closer to dark. Jayken first went to his room to close the door so nobody could look into it and get a sweater to warm up a bit more before moving into the open area of the cabin where all the other guys were. He stayed close to Hannes, though. "So did you hear what we're doing?" He asked.

Sitting there doing nothing with Jayken for a while really was nice. That was until his feet started to get really cold from the water, which was about an hour later, so they decided to join the others in the cabin. Jayken disappeared for a moment to grab a sweater and Hannes took the opportunity to sneak into his own room and put on a pair of socks before they went into the part of the cabin where people were actually hanging out.

They seemed to have grouped off into doing different things, the largest group being the one laughing and talking in the sofas, though, they seemed to be playing never have I ever. The other people were in smaller groups, or pairs, chatting or playing board games or cards.

He had literally been playing cards for hours before lunch, although it had been more about getting to know the people he played with than the actual game Hannes was still a little tired of it. That left just chilling and talking with the people who wasn't really doing anything or playing never have I ever. In the group of people playing he recognized more faces, amongst them Mike and a guy with black hair and glasses, named Elliot, who had been one of the people Hannes had been playing cards with before.

"Well we have cards over there," he pointed towards the table where they were playing, then pointed to the large group of people seated the sofas that had been arranged to form a somewhat circle, "that looks like Never have I ever, which is my suggestion for what we should join in on, or we could just chill or whatever"

At the last option, Hannes simply made a vague gesture with his hand to indicate the fact that they could do that anywhere really.

Jayken nodded as he looked at the groups of people, surprised to see so many people that was actually there. When they were all spread out in activities, it didn't look like there were too many of them. Now, he actually had an idea about how many there were. He let out a breath at having to choose what they wanted to do, a small frown on his lips before he looked up at Hannes, trying to pinpoint where the older wanted to go more.

Seeing his eyes move over to the group playing Never Have I Ever, he let out a hum. Though he had never played the game, he knew what do to. "How about going over there with Mike? They look like they're having fun." He said as he looked up at Hannes with a small smile moving onto his lips.

Hannes nodded with a smile, grabbed Jayken by the arm and pulled him along to the sofa where Mike was seated.

"Heyyy Hannes and... Jayken? " It took Mike a moment to remember Jaykens name but he had left enough of an impression for him to bother remembering it at all, "you two joining?"

"Yeah so scoot over," Hannes said, and Mike shrugged and did as he was told, making room for about two more people in that particular sofa, although still a little tight of place. Hannes sat down next to mike and patted on the spot in between himself and the armrest for Jayken to sit down before turning to the game which seemed to have continued without stop while they joined in.

People were sitting with their hands up, not doing the drinking game version seeing as drinking definitively wasn't allowed, and strictly so with there being people as young as 14 at the camp. If someone had been able to sneak in alcohol it usually wasn't brought out until the last week or so anyways so there wouldn't be any consequences.

The question was with a guy sitting about straight across from them who didn't seem to have any idea what to actually say until he just sighed, shrugged and went with "never have I ever shoplifted", which Hannes hadn't, because he had never seen a reason to do that, but one or two people did put their fingers down.

Jayken squeezed his small frame into the small space available on the couch, thought most of the upper half of his body was leaned over the arm rest so he could give the other two room. He watched the game for a bit, then heard the shoplifting comment and he tilted his head slightly. He had never shoplifted, since he didn't have any reason to. Nor did he need to. He guessed some people just did it for the rush.

He watched as they game went around until people were looking at him expectantly. He blinked, wondering if it was his turn before he blushed slightly. "U-Um...Never have I ever...uh, drank till I passed out." He squeaked out, his blush darkening.

Hannes almost felt a little bad for Jayken when it became his turn as it was obvious that he didn't like to be in the center of attention, but he still came up with something and nobody else seemed to think anything of it as some, but not many put down their fingers.
The thing about summer camp was that the teens who partied a lot tended to spend their summer doing that instead of hiking and singing campfire songs.

Hannes was one of the people who did but down a finger, though. He was pretty sure most people would just assume he was a person who drank a lot at parties, but in reality none of the medication he took mixed well with alcohol, which he had not thought about at all when he first started taking them and had ended up embarrassingly drunk embarrassingly fast and been gone for the evening before most people had barely even gotten started on more than one occasion.

"never have I ever dated a girl," Hannes said, and he could here Mike groan a 'cmon dude that's boring' as him and almost everyone else put down a finger. Hannes couldn't disagree with it being boring, Jayken's had been a lot more fun actually, but he wouldn't pass up on the opportunity to use that one when playing with only guys.

Jayken looked at Hannes with a bit surprise when he put his finger down, but quickly let it go since this game wasn't about judging. At Hannes' turn, he bit his lip and regretfully put a finger down, looking away for a moment. He had tried to date a few girls, but he knew he didn't feel any attraction to them so he hadn't dated any and he didn't plan to.

He really disliked the fact that he had tried to make himself straight, but he just couldn't, so he didn't try any further. When the next question was asked, which was 'never have I ever gotten a tattoo', Jayken's eyes widened. He solemnly put a finger down, though, obeying the rules and being as truthful as possible. He was just glad that he didn't have to explain the story. Or what it was.

Had Jayken not told him about his situation Hannes wouldn't have really thought twice about him having dated girls. Whether it would have been before he realized had realized he was gay or just to experiment. But because of what he knew he couldn't help but to sadly hope he hadn't been dating girls only to please his parents.

The concern faded slightly upon seeing that Jayken, unlike Hannes, had put down a finger at the next turn. He couldn't help himself but to lean in closer to the other and whisper "no way, dude" quietly enough so that no one else would hear.

One of the things Hannes didn't like with the game was that a lot of the things you got to know about your friends were things that actually were interesting enough to have conversations about, yet ones the game was over, it was over. Although Hannes would frequently bring things up afterward anyways, he liked learning new things about the people he knew.

The next two turns went by with "never have I ever done drugs", Hannes' fingers stayed up seeing as it was prescription ones and it obviously wasn't what the guy had meant, and "never have I ever skipped class", he put down a finger because of course, he had.

Jayken jumped when Hannes leaned over to say that there was no way he had a tattoo. He looked at the older and nodded, pointing to his left side but staying quiet. He liked the tattoo, but it had been forced on him from a dare and he had a low pain tolerance so it hurt a lot more than it would for someone who had a regular pain tolerance.

Hearing the next two turns, he didn't put his finger down for either the drugs or the skipping class. He had prescriptions, but he didn't ever want to take drugs. Even if it were medical marijuana, he wouldn't take it. Skipping class, he had had the urge many times, but with his classes, it was easy to fall behind, so he never did.

The game continued on for a while more, no one really caring if someone didn't have any fingers left up and after a while it turned more into a discussion where people would ask whether the people in the group had done something and if someone had a story worth telling they seemed to be open to tell it. Hannes honestly thought it was more fun to do it like that than to play the actual game.

After another while, people started to drop off to bed. Since most people went up relatively early to get breakfast most people went to bed at a somewhat decent time. Hannes continued to stubbornly sit in the sofa, which wasn't as cramped anymore because the two people who weren't Hannes, Jayken or Mike had left. He was actually pretty tired which was obvious because of the lack of his normal chatter, he did his best to listen and chime into the conversation everyone in a while, though.

Jayken had stopped playing after the game seemed to drone on. He listened to what people had to say and what they did, but he didn't participate. He still looked wide awake, though, his jaw rested in his hand that was propped up on the couch arm. He looked over at Hannes, who seemed to be the complete opposite. "You should go to bed." He said with a light chuckle, tilting his head slightly.

He himself didn't expect to go to bed until another three to four hours or so, having insomnia made everything hell. He didn't mind it, though. It meant he could have time to think, do some homework or something. Although it was summer so all he had were his thoughts.

"I don't wanna sleep" Hannes said but he yawned again as he did so he didn't really make a convincing case for himself, "sleep is for the week"

With another yawn he stood up and stretched his arms above his head, a little stiff after sitting in the sofa for so long. He didn't want to leave Jayken alone, but he didn't seem to uncomfortable and Hannes really was tired.

"You're right though, If I wanna wake up at a reasonable time tomorrow I should probably go to bed" he admitted and shot Jayken a bright smile, "especially since I'm coming knocking on your door tomorrow morning before breakfast, so don't you forget it either"

He reminded Jayken because Hannes was already pretty set on dragging him alone by now and he didn't want him running off somewhere before he could get to him.

"G'night" Hannes finished with another yawn and dragged his feet over to his room to finally get some sleep.

Jayken let out a chuckle, looking over at the half asleep Hannes as he whined about not wanting to go to sleep, but getting up and heading to bed anyway. "Night, Hannes. See you tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll be awake." He said as he watched the older head to his room. Once he heard the click of the door, he got up and headed outside, standing on the porch and looking up at the millions of stars that were above him.

He smiled, walking to the side of the cabin and climbing up onto the roof. He got himself steady before he lay down on the tiles, his arms crossed beneath his head as he star gazed, loving the view he got.

It didn't take Hannes long to fall asleep. Even though he might have wanted to spend more time reflecting over today's events or maybe try to think of what to do tomorrow. He had some time to consider maybe choosing to go to the beach rather than sports and games if it turned out as hot.

He woke up again before his set alarm clock because it indeed was very warm, even indoors. Seeing as he was already awake anyways he decided to get up and get dressed.

He put on a pair of red swim short right away, just in case they did in fact end up going to the lake, a grey t shirt and matching red wristbands. He was always wearing a bunch of homemade 'friendship' type bracelets which were tied and he couldn't get of unless he were to cut them off.

Before heading out the door he grabbed the pills he always took during breakfast and put them in his pocket to be slightly more discrete about it.

He wondered briefly how long Jayken had been up the night before and if he would be waking him up by knocking on the door. He still did though, seeing as that what they had decided upon.

Jayken woke up groggily when he heard knocks on his door. Climbing out of bed with only briefs on, he stumbled to the door before he opened it, looking up at Hannes with tired eyes. "Is it breakfast time? Come in, give my five more minutes." He said, waiting for Hannes to enter before he closed the door.

He let out a long sigh, obviously his tiredness didn't seem to take on the fact that he was only in underwear. Crawling back into his bed, he threw the covers back on before closing his eyes. "Wake me in five minutes. Or take the other side of the bed and go back to sleep yourself. I don't care as long as I get my five minutes." He muttered sleepily.

Hannes wouldn't really have imagined Jayken as the kind of person as the kind of person who wouldn't care about people seeing him in his underwear, but then again, since he went straight back to bed he had probably just woken up to answer the door. He realized that he hadn't had any time to actually check the other out, though, which might be something that sounded weird but he checked his friends out all the time and made damn sure they knew just to annoy them. He also kind wanted to see that tattoo.

Missed opportunity aside, Hannes was not going to let him go back to sleep and he would have prevented him from doing it by just pulling off his covers if he had had more clothes on so instead he let himself fall over the other, landing on across of him over the covers.

"Nooope" he said, with a hint of a laugh, hoping he was too heavy for Jayken to comfortably continue his sleeping "I'm hungry, and you'll just end up more tired, C'mon"

Jayken let out a low groan at the sudden weight on him, trying to wiggle around to get Hannes off of him. "Get ooooffff. It won't make me more tired. I'll be more awake." He whined, his eyes still closed as he tried to get the heavier male off of him. He let out another groan, pulling at his blanket once it started to slip down.

He opened his eyes for a minute, looking down at Hannes. "If I show you the tattoo will I be able to sleep for a little bit longer?" He bargained, raising an eyebrow. He wondered if Hannes would take the bait or just pull the covers off and see it himself while effectively making him get up.
